I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in a prior reviewer note.

Hi Arachnaphobe

This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).

I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.

Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.

Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

Regards
TheCoddiwompler

We dragged the sign but i couldnt see anything while i was there sad to say i think this 1 is gone

02-May-22
Did have a bit of a scramble around but as one previous person said it’s not easy moving the heavy sign. I’m assuming it doesn’t live here anymore

25-Jan-22
Not sure what I’m missing here the sign for the theatre is on the ground and looks like has been that way for a while. It was too heavy to lift to check underneath it.

Heading to Auckland with evilC on our roadtrip adventure. Time for a stretch of the legs (and arms!) TFTC!!

07-Jan-21
We are on our summer holiday, we usually take a few weeks and travel around the South Island, but this year we are heading around the North Island. Heading up the West coast and back down the East coast. Finding only a select few caches along the way, we are mostly targeting some challenges we have qualified for, some large size caches, some that fill gaps in our date placed grid, a few D/T combinations, some with lots of favourite points, letterboxes and anything else that grabs our fancy.

I had a fall on day two of our holiday, while out geocaching which has resulted in a fractured bone in my leg and I am in a moon boot and with crutches and I was told to keep weight off my leg. So I am only limited use when it comes to our trip now. I tend to stay in the campervan and just hand out suggestions of when and where GK should search.

A nice quick find here, gk went and found it and signed the log then he returned it as he found it. Nice amount of parking here for us, we appreciate that.
Thanks for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley.

20-Dec-20
Heading home from a few days on the Kauri coast. Stopped here for petrol and a great ice cream. The single scoop was a double scoop. Plenty for one. Then realised there was a cache nearby and we were soon signing the log. Thanks for the smiley.

22-Nov-20
Last cache of our trip - drove by and missed it, drove back and missed it again and worked out where to pull over the third time SMH. Then a quick hunt and the geowife got it without getting tetanus.

Thanks for the cache - all good here except container is rusty as.

21-Nov-20
On the way back and a quick divert up here for this one, easy find but the container is rusty.

Today was set aside to head up to our son's and see him and the family which means full-on grandchildren time!! We spent a great time in their company then headed around part of the lagoon walk before back-tracking to complete the Adventure lab of murals around town. Grabbed a couple of other finds on the way home just for the fun.

Berrydehamster and me are travelling in New Zealand for three weeks. We cross the country from north to south and back again by campervan, see a lot, do a lot, visit lots of places and meet a lot of people. It’s nice to be here and we have a great time.

As both of us are geocachers, we find a lot of caches on our travels. This is one of the caches we found. Thanks for your cache, Arachnaphobe, that helped give us a wonderful time here.

28-Nov-19
NLBokkie and I are going on holiday to New Zealand for 3 weeks. In Auckland we rent a camper. We start on the North island and driving to the south to make the crossing to the South island. Here we make a round and then take the boat back to the North Island. A long trip, but a very beautiful one! We do and see a lot on our way.........…

In addition to being a tourist, we are also going to cache along the way. The virtuals and earth caches are often on tourism places. If we have a long day of traveling, we stop for some caches.
It were great weeks!

Northland Day 1: We drove up from Auckland to Hokianga today, passing through the Hibiscus Coast before heading across to Kaipara District and then into the Hokianga Harbour. Stopped by various beautiful regions along the way to take in the views, and of course, there was always room a few cache finds... well, not a few Wink Thanks to all the COs along the way for showing us the lovelier parts of the Northland!

The following is the specific log for each cache:
Another quick stop for a cache. Stopped at the petrol station and I dashed across the road for the cache. Not difficult to find at all, just a little rusty from the rain. TFTC!

Today we had a trip from Dargaville to Auckland, thereby visiting many locations near the road, and looking for caches, too. On this trip we searched, found and logged a lot of caches. The weather was good all day long with a lot of clouds, but it got better with smaller and less clouds in the afternoon.
Almost no muggels observed us as they had other things to do than observing harmless geocachers.

Thanks to 'Arachnaphobe' for showing us this location and for the fun we had at 'Ladies and Gentlemen! (Northland)'. The search we had here today didn't take too much time.

Greetings from Germany and hope to see you soon in the forest.

Left home at 2:30am this morning, FMZ picked me and Lostcourse up for a big day of caching. Today is our Northland trip, many caches to find and we have a plan of sorts but not really. It's still dark when we pull up here, and although I'm sent to find this I have to call upon the tall Lostcourse to reach for the cache for me.... he has found this previously so no problem for him, I signed in. Cache could do with some TLC too.

I had a day off, my husband was working in Maungatapere and the souvenir challenge begun today. What did this mean?? Well for me, a fantastic day with lots of geocaching Smile A big day was planned (and fulfilled) - I left home at 5.15am and got home at 4.30pm with 20 caches for the day as well as 8 souvenirs. A very pleasing day from that point of view and I saw some lovely views and had a great kauri walk too. I went to Waipu, Maungataroto via this road, Paparoa and Matakohe so it was big day driving. It took me a about 5 mins to spot the hide and it took a bit of kiwi ingenuity to retrieve and replace it as I found it. Lots of cars kept appearing so it was hard to be discrete as I kept appearing from the bushes while I was hunting for it. Thanks for the hide Smile

Headed up North with Jag50 and Merlot58 to stay in Pahi for the long weekend. Grass was covered in quite a bit of dew, so we ended up wet wandering around trying to reach this cache.

30-Mar-18
I was staying in Pahi with the Jags and Aiden29 for Easter so plans were made to collect as many caches as we could while we were up north. It was still early and the grass was very wet with dew so got a little damp getting to this one

01-Mar-18
Today I had some time to spare to go and find a few caches. After finding the new cache at Tinopai, I found a few more caches as I drove back to the main highway and then southwards back towards Auckland. Nice one! Brought back a few memories - both of my time in Am Dram in West Auckland and of visiting a friend in Maungatoroto who was working in what was then the local branch of the BNZ. All good with the cache. Found it where it was supposed to be. TFTC, Biggles.

This will be my last cache on this trip north - I dropped and broke my phone a couple of hours after finding this cache on my way home... Drove up to the spot, didn't look hard enough, so started wondering around looking in other spots. Finally came back, and felt it with my hands, so hid behind the sign while I signed the log.

I came over to New Zealand to meet my son, who is staying now for more than five months on the other side of the world. Our intension is, to travel now for 4 weeks through this fantastic land and visiting a lot of fine spots on both islands.
Met in Auckland, our first trip will lead us to the Far North with some spectacular locations, seeing many things, having good eating and drinks and do some fine activities in the sanddunes of Te Paki Stream.
It is a lot of driving, but we think, it is worth the result.
On our way back from the cape we also will visit the Kauri trees.
Of course, even if it is not our main activity during this holidays, we will looking for some caches, which are laying beside our route.
So this cache was one of those, we've picked up.
Many thanks to RazzArachnaphobeRazz for this fine cache and best greetings from Germany.

We spent 4 incredibly wonderful weeks in New Zealand for vacation and
had a lot of fun to discover all the marvels of this country.
Day 7 - we continued driving south down the west coast to Auckland and had two nice breaks.
One in the Arai-Te-Uru Recreation Reserve, and the other in the Waipoua Forest,
the home to the country's largest Kauri Tree, Tane Mahuta.
Besides we still found time for geocaching and picked up quite a few caches on our way.
This was one of them!

TFTC,

27-Feb-16
From 19th February to 20th March Stadibast and I visited New Zealand. Half of the time we made a trip around the North-Island. After a short stay in Auckland we went to: Bay of Islands, Cape Reinga, Rotorua and the Wai-o-Tapu-Thermal Wonderland, the great Taupo-lake… We made a Rafting Tour in the Waitomo-Glowworm-caves or hiked the Tongariro –Alpine-Crossing and, and…
In the second part of our holidays we visited the south island, hiked in the Abel-Tasman-Reserve , went to the Marlborough-Sounds, the Golden Bay, the Oparara-Arch, the Franz-Josef- and Fox-Glaciers, had a great sight on Mt. Cook and Mt. Tasman, relaxed at the Wanaka- and Hawea-Lakes,….
New Zealand is a very amazing country and with exceptional natural sites. We are very impressed of these great nature monuments and sights and we are happy that we met so much friendly and helpful people.

If your a tall enough, this one is no problem...
Greetings from Germany.
