On way to the Northern Suburbs, we came here after another DNF nearby. Glad to find this hinted cache after 15 months inactivity. With Graubunden. At first we took the wrong way so we backtracked until we found another way. Overgrown and unkempt lantern bushes. Managed to avoid most on this hot day, no soggy soil which is a bonus. Once there, the hint assisted us. TFTC JordsAU for a fun log,
Today we headed up to North & East Ryde for a few caches, two previously solved Mystery/Puzzle caches and a Traditional cache, that have been on our "to do" list for way too long. One had been missing on a previous visit, and the other two had higher Terrain ratings with unknown entry points & paths to reach them, so had been passed over on previous caching expeditions to the area. This was the 1st of 3 finds for today.
We had been looking at this one on our geomap for many years, so it was first on our list today. Did some research and decided on the easier but longer way in, which turned out to be a good choice. Worked our way along, having to leave the level path at one point and descend lower to avoid a large thicket of lantana, then back up to the level for the remainder of the journey. No sign of any sunglasses along the way.
Soon arrived at GZ, with only a few minor scraps & scratches, and made a quick find of the nicely tucked away cache container. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. Glad to have finally made the effort to get to this one, and turn the green icon into a yellow smiley on our geomap. TFTC JordsAU.

I dont think yesterdays log was hgere, when i was reading this last night, otherwise it would of been quicker. I started in a dead end street, and found a trail that led me down to the creek, but i could not pick it up again on the side i needed to be. 172M close. Back track and do some scouting. To ease my mind, i went to the wrong side. Just for kicks. Walked back and then found a way. Phew. Lost my pens along the trail, so had to write (smudge) with mud. Found said pens on way back, in 2 different spots. Did not sight the sunglasses. TFTC. Fav from me, as i like the game play. ANd the DT.
I came from the North end of the wall and took a spider man approach walking along the wall full of artwork. It took me a good 15 minutes this way and thanks to the dry weather it wasn't slippery.
At GZ the cache was found quickly and log signed. Container and logbook are nice and dry.
After signing I continued for another 50 meters after which I decided to climb over the wall where the walk back to the geo car is much easier.
While doing this cache I lost my sunglasses if the next cacher takes the same route and finds them it would be great if I'm able to get them back.
TFTC.

The desciption already warned me. And yes, at first I was at the wrong side... Since this cache has a very nice D/T-rating, one we don't have yet, I walked the other way round. I explored some possible roads and decided to dive in the bushes. Eventually it paid out. Found it. Pfew. Thank you for this one. Greetings from the Netherlands.
After a conversation with our resident sage and wise one, I resolved to have a crack at this cache that has been in my sights for some time given its attractive DT combo.
I parked nearby and began my sorte' into the depths of this urban jungle. Although the lantana seemed thick, I was able to make good progress without incident to GZ. A quick search uncovered a nicely secluded hide.
Now to make my escape, which proved easier until the last 50m when I was set upon by giant bull ants. Fortunately I only sustained 1 sting, even though they were definitely unhappy with my incursion into their territory.
A very enjoyable late night adventure and great to tick this off.

Found after an epic bush bash, then took the much longer but somewhat easier way back to the car. This area is heavily overgrown and very slippery after the rain, and the sound of water flowing through the creek overcame the sound from the nearby road. Was delighted to see a swamp wallaby making its home here. Thanks JordsAU for the cache and the adventure
Finally I’ve made the effort today to go and get this one. Doing some research on the daily driving past I had a fairly good idea where it was and even saw an opening there one day when I drove past. As I made my way there today I found the way is shut and I’m too fat to squeeze through and even if I wasn’t it’s no deal. I went a slightly longer way. I was wearing work pants and trail runners with a long sleeved rain jacket and a cap so apart from looking like a criminal I was well dressed for what I needed to do to get in here. Once at GZ I made a quick find and I love that there’s a custom made slot for the cache. Signed the log and then sat down to log on my phone as the rain steadily fell. Glad to lay this one to rest. Thanks JordsAU for another after work adventure.

My son had a birthday party at Macquarie, so I decided to take an opportunity to search for this cache. I was a bit unsure of which path to take, given the "obvious one" required a fence jump. When I got close I decided the "high road" was the most likely, and it was reasonable for most of the journey, with a bit of a bush-bash at one section and a down-then-up diversion at another. Once at GZ I made a quick find - all is well with the container despite the long time since its last find; TNLNSL. Afterwards I checked alternative routes just in case there was an easier way back, but in the end decided to return the way I came. TFTC

A he'll of a challenge getting to this cache so pleased to find it in good shape when it hasn't been found in almost a year. No easy access to this one! Now, how do I get out of here? TFTC
A nice day to be out caching, not too hot with a bit of a breeze.
After studying the map i had a decent idea of where to enter but it was only after i got to the trailhead that i was sure.
Despite the path i got a bit scratched up heading in. Im just glad i wore long pants.
Once at the GZ i was able to spot the clue and it only took a minute of searching to turn up the cache.
The container is in good condition and the log is dry.
Thanks.

Well that was quite an adventure (you can cheat the bushbashing but I will not tell how)TFTC
Sounded bad and the lantana looked nasty but spotted a possible access and sallows forth.
Stuck uphill and that helped, only being obliged to stoop and walk backwards a few times.
Got to a likely spot and found in short order.
Reluctant to retrace, elected to vault!
Ta for this T rating and the jewel! Drew blood so that’s fair!
Off to matrix!

Haven't been caching in Sydney as much as I used to - it has become more of a holiday activity. Anyway, the GeoSon needs to accumulate a vast number of hours on his Ls, so I've started travelling around a bit more to pick up some caches.
Colourful wall to awards the cache.

There's probably an easier way in, but I chose an adventurous route across the creek and through thickets of weeds. Found the cache easily and returned the same way. This area is definitely in need of some bush regeneration and a good clean up. The garbage tossers should be ashamed of themselves.

We covered twice the distance as we approached from the wrong side initially. Back again, following the "artwork" and then at GZ the hint revealed all. Unfortunately the approach is littered with left over spray cans. If I had a dozen rack sacks I could have removed them, and still need more to clean it up. And who actually gets to see this rubbish anyway? TFTC
Out today with Brewmaker finding some caches around Macquarie Park, East Ryde, and Lane Cove North.
This was out third cache to find after parking nearby. But we took the wrong route trying to access the cache, so had to backtrack and around. Finally we found the way to access it. Once at gz we searched the area which fitted the hint, and Brewmaker came up with the cache. Signed the log and replaced it all as found. Then onto the next cache nearby. BTW - what is the collective noun for a group of empty spray-paint cans??? TFTC Jords

Located at 6:34pm. Seven months unloved! Boom! Today had been a long and stifling day at work but I felt like going for one cache before heading home. I had looked a couple of times at this cache but had not yet registered that it was now unloved. Definitely going for this one. I parked off a side road and walked along finding the side entrance easily and headed off along it. My arms were scratched up a bit but thankfully no pokes to the eyes this time ;'/ I came upon GZ and rustled around for a bit and made the find. Very nice feeling, claiming those seven months. Many thanks to JordsAU for this cache. Спасибо! תודה! L’chaim! TFTC!

I'd looked at this a few times and reading the logs it didn't sound like a pleasant journey unless you were good at leaping tall walls. Being in the area again today, I found a very easy access point and followed the artwork all the way to GZ. Took a moment to work through the options but my name is now in the log. Interesting history.

On my way to my job site after doing a quote this morning. I've seen this one on the way the way home a few times but never a good time to stop.
After having just found 'Snert's Slope' cache this is the best access to try and find this cache.
I easily found my way behind the wall and followed it along to GZ. A CITO wouldn't go astray here as all the 'urban artists' have simply thrown their spray cans on the ground when they were empty.
It only took a short search to find the cache. SLTNLN, the cache and log are in good condition.

Having read some previous logs we realized that it be critical to find the right way in. Parked at the end of Blenheim Road and crossed the road at the traffic lights. Not to keen to climb the wall, we found a way around having to do that. That way took us in an easy way all the way up to GZ. Wonder how long it will take for Trump¨'s wall to be as covered in graffiti as this one is. A quick scramble and search saw us soon having the cache in hand, and after having signed it we extracted ourselves from the area the same way that we got in.
Found Cache in September last year with J P S but I only recently got the app. My name is written in mud next to his.

FINALLY Went down yesterday on an impromptu caching adventure. Took a while to get to the GZ, as we had bikes with us and had to find a place to put them. After a bit of searching, the cache turned up, and I began signing duties. Unfortunately I had no pen, so I copied the idea of a fellow cacher, and signed with a stick and mud. (The writing is rather hard to see, but it reads 'J-P S 18/9/16. Thanks for the great cache JordsAU, as well as the handy hint on how to get to it
Try as I might, but I can't find an easy way in. Got shouted at by an incompetent lady burning some calories on a treadmill. One day I will find this damn cache
Found what must be the easiest way in with only a couple of metres of bush before quite a highway was discovered. You could come the short way but too many muggles zooming past for my liking. This was the primary target of this morning's outing. Success! All is well here, cheers, a fun mini adventure.
Went there on my own, as my friend couldn't be bothered D: Wasn't too far from the cache, but I had to return home for lunch. On the way back to the road, I fell off my bike Indiana Jones style, stick through the spokes. Hopefully 3rd time lucky
#2872 - Took four attacks but finally got to the old road and cache, albeit in the dark. Many thanks to JordsAU for establishing and maintaining this cache.
Snake! Given the near by creek and recent wet conditions. We did not expect to see a snake 15m from GZ and a large black snake at that. It was well over a meter long so needless to say we did not hang around to take a photo. We considered aborting going for the cache but back tracked and made our way around to GZ for a quick find and completed the signing duties. We headed back out the same way we came in using the old set of san d stone steps TFTC.
I've had my eye on this cache for a few weeks now. From reading previous logs, the route through the bush sounded too tricky and spider-infested to me, so I decided to take the wall-climb option from the main road. I just needed someone to help push me up, and that person ended up being my Mum today. She is a very rational sensible person, full of 'you can't climb that' and 'everyone is going to see you' complaints, but we had walked all the way down here, so up the wall I went. I found the cache fairly easily after that, even showed her it through a square hole in the wall gate. 'Is that it?' she said. I guess some people just don't get it.
Thanks for the quiche~
PS the entry written with a stick and some mud gave me a laugh.

After reading about the severe bush bashing others had been through I decided to go for the Epping Rd approach. As I walked I started to become wary noticing masses of lantana pressing against the perspex windows in the wall. As I got to the area to jump the wall it dawned on me just how high I would have to climb and decided that this one was not for me. Thanks all the same.
This cache has sat there just inside my 10km radius for a long time. A while back I did a quick reccie to see if I could get there from the nearby street but it looked like it was only going to be a severe bushbash. Recently I've started to try and clean up the invading caches again so got some advice on the best approach and came in from near the intersection. There's no way I was going to be jumping walls! A rough bit of bush and plenty of work here for Paul The Hippy to clear out all the privet and lantana when he gets here. Finally got through to the old track and made a quick find. Signed and replaced then tried climbing the wall to see if I could escape quickly that way. Well I climbed up okay but thought the better of the 2.5 metre drop to the concrete. I like having sound ankles. Made my way back the way I came.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Walked down the main road to within a couple of metres to GZ, looked around and read past logs.
Okay, scaled the wall and jumped down and had CIH within a minute on the other side.
About now is when I realise I have forgotten my pen, so as what Alfyboy would do? Find a stick and use mud as ink, cleaned the log paper and all good.
Now which way back? Walked along the wall for 50m, until it became thick, so back tracked to the same corner I scaled and returned back over the wall in that location.
Thanks JordsAU

Hum. I think this is my all time least favourite cache. Sorry JordsAU. Its just a horrid place,
full of trash and a fight against Privit and Lantana all the way I went in. The one saving grace is the opportunity to reduce the rubbish there. Suggest everyone visiting take a bag and remove 10 pieces. Give it a decade and a few thousand cachers and maybe it will not be such a mess.

Second attempt was s heavy bush bash from the end of a nearby street. I'm the end it was an easy find. Then I walked out along the fence and around to the car.

I feel sorry for all the guys that bushbashed all the way to the cache. It looked pretty rough! I got to the point where I was separated from the cache by the big wall on Epping Road and I really didn't want to go hunting for an entrance and bushbashing so I just climbed over the wall! It really wasn't too bad. Cache spotted quickly, signed, and hopped the wall again. TFTC!

Originally planned to head south today, but confirmation a cache I was last finder of was not missing as feared freed me up to grab the All Puzzled Up #7 cache that I'd finally solved last night.
And, of course, there were were two other nearby caches I hadn't grabbed yet.

Two down, this one to go.
I'd had an idea re accessing this a while ago, after scoping out the obvious but doomed option just after grabbing the GZ coordinates for Pages Creek Swamp 2.0.
Today, I was feeling good and decided on a different approach today.
While this one started really well with a nice path and a creek, it was in the last 60 metres that it all went awry.
Still, I got there without too much trouble, just needed to pick my way through almost trails and keping an eye out for snakes (only spotted a shed skin near the creek, thankfully).
Final climb and GZ was mine, and initially my search for a particular type of hide was fruitless. Not wanting to go away empty handed after the sweat and effort, I expanded my cachetype and search to the next most logical area and had CIH.
Phew!
Completed signing duties and then considered my way out. Took one which proved quite easy al the way back to the Hademobile.

Found at 6:08pm. Wow, ok, um.... I turned this into nothing short of a terrain 4, just madness. I was so relieved to finally reach GZ but boy was I in for another battle after that.
I approached from a point which I have since been told is not the intended entry point, after nearly completing a full loop around the block this seemed the logical place to me but apparently not. Nonetheless it worked but it meant a lot of bush bashing along the journey.
When I first got in amongst the trees it all seemed pretty easy and that there would be a path the whole way in. I think that lasted for about 90 seconds and from there it was tough going. As time passed, I naturally became more reckless but at the same time trying to be mindful of trampling on the bush.
After a 20 minute walk in, I finally reached GZ which was a familiar sight after peeking through the fence on the other side earlier. I read the description, a couple of recent logs and the hint of course - once I had sufficient information I began searching and managed to come up with the cache straight away. A fluky stab in the dark in the first place I looked (at least this part was easy).
I thought the way out would be much easier (and I suppose it was in retrospect) but the darkness had well set in by now which made this task challenging initially. I followed a path which I suspected was the 'recommended' path but I quickly hit a dead end. I took a non-advisable route from here thinking I'd be able to cut through to my intended destination but I ended up in quite a pickle as a result.
I managed to hit another dead end so hence I tried to backtrack my steps and had no luck. I now felt as if I was stuck in a labyrinth which was most uncomfortable. My intention was to avoid going back the way I came in to which I was now regretting. In the end, I managed to spot the wall which bordered the road and the bush and I made a quick, successful, injury-free exit.
VERY relieved to see the traffic and shake myself off. What an adventure!!! I would strongly advise not going for this one after dark (but let's be honest - it's more fun!)

I gave it my best, but couldn't find the cache. Maybe I should have been on the other side of the big thing I was at. Enjoyed the search.
Looking at this last night, I plotted what I thought would be the best route, given that I can't pick those security locks. It worked out just fine and I kept to the concrete all the way. I worked around where the GPS suggested and soon had the little devil. Thanks again JordsAU.
My gosh that was difficult.
Walked a complete loop around the location with no path in before deciding to cut across the bush. Bad idea! It only took me back to Epping Rd anyways!
Walked along for a while, completed the loop, then went for a direct route involving a milk crate.
Also a very bad idea. One way to ticket to spidery hell please! Sooo many spiders and insects, such a nightmare!
After about an hour of bushwhacking finally made it there after going through numerous spiderwebs, a glade and much lantana.
Way out was easier and basically showed me the way I should have come in, but all in all, a very hard to find entry and a very tough cache!
Thanks for the cache!

Bush bashing but good fun - makes a nice change to urban micros !
Followed the creek bed then headed fur the road and squeezed along the ledge

Well thank goodness I found it.
Terrain 2.5, well not the way I went, more like 10.5.
That was some severe bush bashing. Haven't done any as tough as that since I was a kid.
I thought I knew a way in, the grassed area revealed a track which I followed but when that ran out at a creek it was uphill bush bashing to the wall. At the wall the GPS said 677m & I thought I can't go back without my smilie, heck I shouldn't even be here, today is Grandad's 98th birthday and I'm supposed to be there.
So over, under, through the lantana I went, a bit worried about snakes and ticks & finally reached the spot in the clue. Then it was easy.
There was no way I could go back the same way but I couldn't see any caching trails which I expected given the density of the undergrowth. So made my own track & had to squeeze through 2 locked gates - lucky I'm small.
Boy was I glad when I could see cars nearby, only had to climb over one squashed wire fence back to civilisation.
TFTC .....I think, it was certainly an adventure!

Yeah this one is well worth the terrain points. Getting there is interesting, I had to leave my bike some where relatively secure 150m away and continue on foot. A few scratches to show for it. Errr thanks for the cache!

ok, ok, so alfyboy night be able to climb dangerous cliff faces, scramble down chasms and the like, but trying to jump an 8ft+ high fence with busy traffic going by is NOT the way to do this cache.
I parked nearby and found another easier way in. Walked and walked until I arrived at the huge gate and GZ. Searched some places and then found the cache. SL, TNLN and replaced again. Then made my way out. Nice cache JordsAU, TFTC.

I parked at Blenheim Park which has become a familiar place to me after picking up, over a period of time, most of the JordsAU caches in the area.
Apart from today’s heat, like others before me, the hardest thing about this one was finding the best way in. After a bit of to-and-froing I took the logical route and, without too much trouble, was soon at GZ, though if I need to enter this area again I might bring a machete.
Thankfully, the cache did not take long to find and I was soon retracing my steps, battling my way back out.
Phew, got a bit hot and scratched but still enjoyed this one. Thanks JordsAU.

Now I know how the original Australian explorers must have felt. Hacking my way through virgin forest, slipping along creek beds, battling swarms of jungle insects, jumping two mesh fences. Crikey! I don't think I found the best way in - terrain 6 on the way in; a pleasant stroll of terrain 2.5 on the way out! But I got it! Yay!!
We came in from the far end of Gilda, and followed the creek up stream. A pity you can't get over the Epping Rd fence, that would have been so much easier..Watch out for the wasps on the west half of the gate at GZ.
8/12/13. 8:44 AM. Cache #1130. Last find of 7 for the morning; still clearing out new caches from the past few weeks most of which were within 10 kms of home. Headed here from Beanstalk in Eastwood and parked near the Lane Cove Valley Expressway cache. Walked along Epping Road, along one side of the wall - it really is impenetrable. Backtracked and found a simple way to the cache, albeit still complete with plenty of lantana scratches. Quick find once at GZ. Thanks for a great adventure JordsAU.
Now I've almost caught up to new (under 2 months old) caches in my home 25kms except for a few on the Northern Beaches. But with riblit being quiet for the past few days I'm sure there's another ton on the way. TFTC }:)

Had a bit of free time so headed out to Green's bush this afternoon with the geodog. Had to look around a bit for an entry without scaling the big barrier. Found one but soon discovered this was not a good one for shorts and sandals. Ouch! Lantana got me good across the ankles.
Signed in 3rd position and took Pyobeon's TB

Excellent cache. And even better I found it, after having struck out on the Clifford Love bridge. However, I didn't do this the sensible way... too much knowledge can be a bad thing. When I was scouting out Pages Creek Swamp I had consulted an old map, and I had remembered an abandoned track on that which looked like it should head in the right direction. I had explored it a bit, but decided it was too overgrown. Convinced that I knew what I was doing, I turned this into an hour-long terrain 4 adventure. Not complaining - it was great fun and took me somewhere I had wanted to explore. Finally I emerged, muddied, scratched, with cobwebs sticking to me and leaves and sticks down my shirt at GZ and it fitted the hint perfectly. The cache took a bit of searching, as there are few places, but was fairly easily located. Signed log, left a TB and spotted a much easier route out. TFTC.
*FTF* 7.15pm 28th November.
After claiming a 2FT and a FTF already today i thought with a bit more time before my AFL 9's match started i would attempt this cache and boy what a good cache it is. First attempt into the area no luck then thought a little bit more and viewed the Google Earth image and found my entrance. Followed the path all the way to GZ ended up being a little scratched up along the way Watch out for thorns and spickey branches along the way.
Arrived at GZ and thought where it could be ended up a little stumped so resorted to the Clue and made the find straight away. SL and replaced camo although i dont think this area will need much camo but i prob am wrong. Then hi-tailed my way out of there as i needed to start warm ups soon. Total cache time took about 30 min broken up to 15 min making my way into GZ once entry point established, 5 min searching and 10 min making my way out. Was slow and steady making my way into GZ.
