Logs
Find#2165After getting a few caches yesterday to fill a hole in my calendar I left this one for today. Not the best weather to go geocaching but it does reduce the muggles significantly. Signed the cache and returned as found. Now onto the Great Southern land cache. Log and cache in good condition TFTC
TFTC smile19993 Out and about on a Sunny day with muggle twin sister on our way to Wollongong in a round about way picking up LGAs on the way signed as GS1947 on small logs Thank you Scott&Ramona for placing this cache for our enjoyment
Cheeky little bugger but Eminema and I got there. Dont give up hope, although the sand in the middle of the day makes it tough
Wow so many wrong Sandhills and a decent walk. Still it was hidden after all that. But at ground zero the sharp eyes , or was there no more branches left, of Sillybugger spotted it . TFTC
After climbing/sliding lots of sand hills (all wrong) so happy to find it and what a view!!!! All with Mobi702 and Terence TB. TFTC.
Cache replaced, apologies to those who logged DNFs, hope you enjoyed the scenery at least.
A trip to cache around the mid north coast of NSW via the southern tablelands. TFTC.Had a long look but could not locate it.
Found it but couldn't open it to sign it, I tried and tried. Great spot to remember my Dad. Rest in peace Dad.
the container has rusted shut and hard to open and the ring on top is rusted through
After my sons and I walked up Yacaaba, they decided to head back to the car while I headed for this cache. Wow it is a good walk up that sand. The cache was found really quickly but it has rusted shut and is impossible to open. The ring on top is also rusted . I tied it back together but not sure how long it will last. Thanks for the cache
I found this one after not too long, but the lid was on too tight - I couldn't get it open. TFTC!
TFTC- what a view! Lots of cicadas. Unfortunately it was very windy and didn’t get to stay long
Tried yesterday and couldn’t find it, then came back today to nab the goods. Great spot thank you
Grabbed this early in the morning before it got too hot. Was greeted with a few Yellow crested Black Cockatoos. 'O' ring is missing & log sheet is just starting to deteriorate. May need maintenance soon. TFTC Scott & Ramon's.
Good find wind gave the spot away. Beautiful view from up the top at all angles. Tftc.
Loved this one! Possibly my favourite of the day. The hike up the sand dune was so worth it for the amazing views of the storm rolling in over the nearby islands and the enormous fun we had running and rolling back down the dunes! Fantastic! TFTC! Awarding a FP.
Found container in two pieces in different spots
Signed log and reunited pieces in what looked like original position
Thanks for cash

Like previous geocacher we found what there is to find, geo hubby will post photo to the cache owner.
On a short break around Port Stephens, getting some geocaching in while here.
Walking to this one and climbing up the dune I was hoping for a Great view, and I was not disappointed.
Could only find the remnants of how the cache had been attached, so photo taken and will send to CO.
THANKS for a cache with a view.

With COVID limiting our holiday destinations to our own state, we opted for a weeks holiday at beautiful Forster in the caravan. With a few days spent exploring the area I was able to grab a handful of finds with the mini Rats over the week.
After an exhaustive walk up the nearby mountain, a thunderstorm, walking in wet sand this was an easy find.... Hahaha!
Thanks

Bit of a walk without a car but it was well rewarded. Beautiful breezes and a picturesque view of the bay. Pen was broken so it would be appreciated if the next cancer could sign #429
Found with Stan_d_Man whilst coming up for a visit. Getting away a bit late on this rainy sort of day. Came up here to do Yacaaba, but it was a bit to wet today. Very tricky hide, but spotted quickly by Stan.
Log signed and cache replaced as found.
**Thanks For The Cache** Scott&Ramona.
This is the 3rd cache of 4 for today making a grand total of 2929 at 3:10:00 PM on Wed 30Dec2020

Nice easy find. Seems like common camp around these parts. Took photo, no pencil. TFTC
After too many weeks of no geocaching due to Covid 19 restrictions, it's time for me to find a few Geocaches.... while practicing social distancing and proper hand sanitizing protocols of course.
A quick, easy find, and a great view... TFTC

Found. Took a circuitous route both ways. TFTC Darwould and Plus Elle from Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Found during a short stay in Tea Gardens and Hawks Nest. We walked along Jimmy's Beach, crossed the sand to Bennets Beach just short of Yaccaba headland and then walked back along the beach until the needle pointed inland. Made the find and signed the log before heading back to Jimmy's Beach.
Find No: 7976. Visiting from Newcastle, at the last minute we managed to get a room at Tea Gardens Country Club where our son was playing with the V Dubs and we were able to secure the two souvenirs. I was not looking forward to this one on such a hot day but it was not as bad as I expected, and what a view, thanks for the cache Scott&Ramona!!
After doing the one up Yacaba we walked back along Bennetts Beach when turned into the dunes when opposite. The garmin was pointing to a particular dune but the distance did not seem right, so we skirted the base and kept following the arrow which led us into a thickish trail. The arrow soon swung round and we realised that we were going around the cache so we bush bashed up the dune and were soon at gz. Looking round it could only be one type and soon had cache in hand. Took a little bit of contortioning (is that a word) to actualy get the log out. I have roamed these dunes as a kid for many years and thank goodness the prickels have gone. In the end we realised the inital dune we were skirting turned into two dunes. Quick walk back to the car at end of Beach Rd. Tftc.
Left Port Macquarie today heading south to the Mega event At Canberra.
Our 1st stop on the way is an overnighter at Tea Gardens camping at the bowling club.
What a great way to visit your area following the caching trail. This took us to some great beach side locations & lookouts with magnificent scenery.
Decided to attempt this one, with all the wet weather the sand was quite compacted so the going up the dune wasn't too bad.
A great view from GZ
Thanks for placing this cache Scott&Ramona

A morning walk and fun in the sand. I often have trouble with this style but latched onto this one fairly son. Thanks Scott&Ramona.
Pulled up in the car park to be told not to go swimming. Two sharks had been spotted off shore, one a three meter white pointer. Good thing we were there to geocache.
Beautiful views from GZ.

Managed to crawl up (& fall down) some steep sand dunes to reach this one. Nice views once at GZ. Log is full but managed to squeeze in my name. TFTC
Out for some morning exercise that turned out a harder workout then a gentle stroll along a beach. Thats what normally happens when i cache. I tried from the jimmys beach side but was soon refused entey by a nu.ber of large spoders smuggly sitting in their webs between me amd my goal. Back to the hard slog along the sand road, walked to the top of another sand dune from bennets beach side , now that i had made my way there. Only to see there was a much easier way in if only id left the house in a different direction this morning.
the road out wasnt as scenic but much easier on my legs. Now really ready for a shower and theb a coffee moody clouds about today but hopefully it wont rain before i get back to the holiday house.
