Was just about to start fossicking were I thought I should try, then thought to read the clue. Thanks that sorted me out quick smart. TFTC
#221 27/09/2024 @3:53pmBit of off track action and careful hand placement for a quick find
TwoEms flew into the valley with 122 consecutive days of geocache finds. It was the edge of the evening and our path was quickly turning into the shadows of the night. We have another 244 days to reach our goal, so we spread our wings and soared into the sunset. Thank you for the cache.
Today Im going caching around the Greensborough and Eltham areas and who knows maybe even further depending on how well I go. Great spot for a cache nice and secluded. TFTC
I will be unable to do any maintenance, if required, on this cache until after May 5th.
Left a wee travelbug who traveled with me from NZ, not many caches with a big enough container to leave trsvelbugs so I was thrilled this one is close to my daughters house
Fleabag- has a goal to reach 10,980 geocaches before departing Australia to celebrate a big 11,111 milestone overseas and invited me to join for a day's caching. This was a short walk in this hilly area and a little longer, as I took us the 'scenic route', whilst fleabag' was distracted on the phone with happy new year wishes..Happy new year!
Currently trying to finish the year with a few finds to etch closer to my 11,111th cache.Out with KristysAdventures today with the sun shining down. This cache was a Huffington and a puff but all good. Thanks to lachya (Cache Guardian = cathlud) for the fun and the adventure.
finally found it after coming twice. cant believe we didnt see it earlier! got surprised by a spider though, watch out. TFTC
Crustyvarmints and my travels continued today with this cache the next on our list. Oh my goodness, I was certainly puffing my way up this hill I can tell you! Hmmm, note to self...get some more exercise happening Redcb pronto! LOL Crustyvarmint soon pounced on the cache and we were on our way again. TFTC
Out with RedcbBluebm today, this was our second find. We had a mission to attend to in Somerton, so this was a handy location as we headed homewards. After a short climb from our parking spot, we soon had the cache in hand. Thanks cathlud.
MAINTENANCE VISIT : 20 June 2023, 13:00
Visited the cache after a report of no logbook, and yes, it was missing. New logbook placed into ziplock bag. Collected swag from outside cache and replaced into ziplock bag, and back into the container. I will monitor this cache over the coming school holidays.

It is the first time we have heard of International Ice Cream Day, with a day free of commitments we couldn't resist a day of caching in the Eltham area with the promise of a special reward in the afternoon at the International Ice Cream Day event.
Our first stop - great to be able to log such a historical cache.
**FEEDBACK TO CACHE GUARDIAN** A new log will be needed here within the next 2 or 3 finds.
Thanks to lachya & catlud for caring for this cache..

Found at 2:13 pm.
It was international ice cream day today and I had a bit of time before the international ice cream day event so I had to stop by at the ICECREAMS Available cache which I had a DNF on a while ago on the way. I then continued on a nice walk along the river and a couple of other trads before the hail storm started and I headed to the event.
The storm was threatening here but I made it back to the car ok.
Thanks lachya for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

I had been busy all day and finally got a chance for my daily cache and walk. I chose this cache because the cache description said it was of historical significance. I parked near the end of Pembroke St and wandered overland on what I thought were geotrails to GZ...I didn't realise until afterwards that it would have been easier to take the uphill concrete path but I often seem to take the difficult route to the cache.
As I approached GZ I spotted the likely hiding spot and sure enough it contained the cache. I retrieved the cache and signed the log at 8:15 pm...I really love daylight saving. TNLN. I took the easier route back to my car. I used hand sanitiser before and after finding the cache.
Thanks lachya for creating this well-hidden cache and a special thanks to cathlud for maintaining it. I enjoyed exploring this bushy reserve and its ups and downs gave me some much needed exercise.

I grew up in Greensborough but never came to these parts. It's a very nice area. Thanks for the cache and little stroll.
Dropped by today to check condition of cache. Log book damp but able to be signed. I will dry the cache out over the next few days.
18 Nov 2021: Log book has been dried out and returned. All SWAG has been cleaned, dried or replaced. Logbook and SWAG are in new ziplock bags inside the cache container.

So peaceful and beautiful this spot is. Lucky find. Was not what we expected. Signed and put back were we found it
This was our first find with a 6 and 4 year old during lockdown 6. They were very excited!!
Me and my dad found this after 15 minutes. It was really fun to get out of the house for a bit seeing that I’m sick and haven’t been to school for a week. Really fun, definitely recommend.

I'm getting too old for all these hills, after finding a nearby cache I continued on for this one I thought I got over the worst anyway I need the exercise. A great hide in a fantastic area took nothing but left a couple of old coins, thanks lachya and CG cathlud for your cache, now for the long walk back to the shopping centre.
