On the 9th December 2013 I placed this guy, gee that seems a long time ago but a lot has happened in my life since then. This cache along with over a hundred and fifty others have been adopted out to other folk who I hope are happy to look after these guys as the ageing Bushfire has developed a health problem that will only get worse so a big thanks to all these great friends. Finally, I must thank my good friend Neville_devil for looking after this guy as it has got to the stage when I must pass it on and wish it good luck for the future. I know it is in good hands. And lastly, I will give it another favourite because I can now. Thanks for all the great logs that have been placed over many years.

### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUESTED PLEASE** ###

----------

Hi there Cache Owner,

This cache has been flagged by Geocaching HQ as a cache that **possibly** needs some attention. You may recall having received an automated email from Geocaching HQ which explained what you needed to do.

Unfortunately, nothing seems to have happened, so the cache is being temporarily disable - see here: [**Geocache Health Score.**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713)

**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days,** so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.

#What you need to do:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-

- **Check On The Cache** - once checked, place an Owner Maintenance log and then enable the cache.

- **Place A Write Note Log** - indicating a date when you expect it will be restored.

- **Adopt Out or Archive** - depending on whether you want it kept or for it to disappear.

Full details for each of the above choices can be found at [**GEOCACHE MAINTENANCE**]( https://wiki.groundspeak.com/display/GEO/Victoria) on the Regional Policies page.

You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of the above. Well, when the cache is next checked by a Reviewer, if the issue has not been addressed, or there is no acknowledgment as requested above, it will be assumed the cache has been abandoned. [xx(]

It would be far better if you decide, so please do something before then. Please don't send an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.

Thanks for your cooperation,

Bunjil (Pete & Helen)

Out on a caching day and trying to knock off a bit more of the rail trail. I managed to get 13 out of the 15 i was chasing, a bit of a gloomy day but the rain did hold off. Last one before I turn around and head back the other way.

14-Jan-23
This one proved to be a bit tricky with the trees interfering with my cords. Soon had it in hand and log signed.

Found on my Rail Trail bike ride from Moolap Station Rd to Fynan Rd. All up, 17 finds in about 2.5hr; an easy ride with my uncle’s bike on a day of great temperatures. It’s a beautiful ride; I’m glad I did more of the trail today. Quick find at GZ. TNLNSL. TFTC!

02-Dec-22
Out and about today starting my assault on getting circa 340 finds across summer in order to qualify for a challenge cache I signed years back. Between conducting maintenance and researching some potential new hides I managed to get through and knock off a lot of caches in the starting section of G2Q. In total I managed 15 odd finds for the day. Thanks to all CO’s for their placements.

After heading West from the Geovehicle and returning I decided to set off to the East and claim a couple more smileys. 2 DNF’s and no luck for me here today either, even with info from PAF.i had been chatting to CO throughout the morning so offered to replace it as I had a container that was suitably sized (from reading previous logs + PAF) so it was placed at where my GPS settled after a few walk by’s to confirm accuracy.

As we are taught as kids undertaking fire safety, get down low and go go go will help here.

unable to spot container. these types of caches are my least favourite-- not a fan of bashing through bushes

Found today while having a wander along the rail trail . Many thanks for the cache.

16-May-21

At last we thought the weather was predictable enough to get out on the rail trail and chase some caches there. It was cool and overcast and quite windy, but few or no showers were forecast.
It was a tough day all the same. We always seemed to be going uphill when the wind was strongest, and some of the hides were truly challenging. There was the clever ones that truly had us thinking and then micros in the bush as well as some hidden in the undergrowth. There were of course others that were straightforward.
We began the day with 2 DNFs which did not auger well, one a D4 which simply did us in and the other we are maybe just blind.
All in all though it was quite an enjoyable day on the bikes and productive cache wise.

Nice easy find to start the day thanks for a great hide Bushfire TFTC!

New TB on board for the find...

19-Apr-21
We decided to head to Leopold to walk some of the Bellarine Rail Trail we haven't walked before. There are two options for walking along this section of the Bellarine Rail Trail, and we were on the path less travelled, which made this cache an easier find; it also meant that there was far less chance of muggles observing what we were doing. We found the cache, grabbed the TB and signed the lo before returning the cache to its well-camouflaged hiding spot. The cache was in excellent condition. Thank you for this cache Bushfire

G2q tower. Out for a Sunday bike ride while visiting the Cadel Evan's cycling road race. What better way to fill in the time waiting for the race to go by. Enjoyed finding these and using the rail trail. Some easy, some not so. If it was more than 10 minutes or muggle city I moved on.... more for next time. Thanks for the caches and cheers.

Found it when staying at Leopold, on a trip along the Rail Trail, during my motorcycle holiday in Australia. But today I preferred the bicycle.

In Geelong for some Christmas fun so whilst attending the CITO I also decided a quick cache or two was necessary! Many thanks for the cache.

Down in the Geelong Area for the various events and some caches in between. I arrived at the afternoon CITO early, before even the CO had arrived, so I quickly headed to this cache for a quick grab before the work began.

My thanks for the cache, Bushfire.

Since the day we had booked the air tickets for our current geocaching holiday to Australia we had been looking forward to hiking and geocaching the Bellarine Rail Trail. We had arrived in the area two nights ago and so yesterday morning we had parked up in Drysdale and hiked to Queenscliffe then taken a taxi back to Drysdale at the end of the day. Today we once again left our hired cache-mobile in Drysdale and then took a taxi to Geelong - we then hiked back to Drysdale to complete the trail. Once again we throughly enjoyed the hike in some truly lovely Australian weather and of course we also found many geocaches, and so many thanks to the COs for having provided us with the opportunity to have enjoyed yet another great day out geocaching! This one was a nice quick find once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe

This log is to tidy up a mess I made with GSAK . I forgot to apply the template so my finds were published with a nonsensical log.

Rather than try and edit all the logs I post this not with what the log should have been.

My apologies for the confusion caused.

A few days away with Freddo, e.gregory1 and The White Dog Gang.

Fun was had by all. Not too many dnfs

Most logs signed as FETT.

Thanks for all the caches.

Cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked.

27-Dec-18
Found on a short, post-Christmas sojourn to Victoria with Freddo, Team Waldron and thewhitedoggang that involved plenty of driving, cycling, walking and even some boating and wading.

The weather was on our side (albeit a little warm at times), which made for some great caching. There were plenty of varied finds, with some excellent and often tricky hides and and just a few DNFs. We signed most logbooks ‘F.E.T.T.’

Thanks Bushfire for the cache.

26-Dec-18
Found within a minute! Happy days! TFTC!

17-Dec-18
We are spending a few days on the Bellarine peninsular before the Christmas crowd arrives and today are riding the trail from Drysdale to Geelong and back so I have the opportunity to grab a few caches on the way and back. Thanks suscoe for a string of caches along a lovely trail. This is the most westerly cache I downloaded so I have finished my caching for the day.
I still have lots of caches to find on the Bellarine next time we spend some time here.

09-Dec-18
Down in the area for the Christmas Event that was held down at Barwon Heads so decided to call in and check on this guy on the way back to Geelong only to find that all was good with this cache.

08-Dec-18
I was out and about caching for the Annual Christmas Event and we decided to do some of the G2Q rail trail. I have been wanting to do H2O for a long time so today was the day to do it. Bushfire and I had our bikes so we brought those down to ride the rail trail. When we got out of the car there was massive winds, so we had to put on our jackets before heading off along the trail. Anyway it was a fun little ride. Thanks for the putting the trail out for us all to enjoy
