Solved this before and went with LoupLaVu to find the container again. We look as per the hint and our memories. We didn't check on the ground, under the leaves, but the container wasn't were it was. We didn't replace as we didn't remember what crevice to us.
I love this playground. After lunch we went to find the final which I solved with my parents a few years ago. I remember the place, but there was no container today.
Day 7: Up the WaitakiThe next bit of our journey brings us up the Waitaki on another fine but sometimes blustery day. We started the morning off wandering around Oamaru, and then drove up to visit the reservoirs and towns along the Waitaki. This proved to be yet another productive day of exploring and caching, so thanks for all the fun caches in lovely locations along the way. (End of the cut and paste bit) Nice playground here filled with children on a Sunday morning. The cache coordinates were easy enough to obtain and I made my way to the cache site. Unfortunately, a dog from the caravan park noticed me in the bushes and made a ruckus, leading to some consternation from their owner. I made a quick sign of the log and skedaddled out of there ASAP! TFTC!

Wandered around the busy park gathering the required info. Check sum worked so onto GZ. Once there I spotted a sistema lying in the open, lid nearby and no logbook. Found a scrap of paper which had some signatures from 2021 so knew I had found the cache. Added my name to the paper and started looking for the hiding spot to replace it. Found the likely spot only to discover the new replaced cache! It was better hidden than the old one would be so I signed the new log and will try to get the container back to the CO or repurpose it as another cache.
Thanks for the cache, drawp

Staying In Oamaru for the night so it was only right to seek the odd cache or two. However, I could see nothing at my coords.
My observations got all the answers but were not powerful enough to detect at the cache location
Out enjoying our last day in Oamaru before heading home tomorrow. We have walked so much today think we have shrunk in height. Love this play area it is the best. Had fun getting our answers and managed to get one very wrong which had us going to some strange spots. Came back this evening and it fell into place. Cache all good and safe, log signed and a fav from us as this area and puzzle made us smile. Thanks for a fun experience thankfully quiet tonight drawp.
Road trip to Oamaru with Natalie247 and Tithonian. After a lovely stroll around Cape Wanbrow and a picnic lunch it was time for coffee and a play in the playground. Had most of the numbers from a previous visit so didn't take long at all to complete and then an even quicker find at GZ. Great hide, great coffee and great playtime fun! TFTC
Easter family adventures. Stayed in Naseby a few nights. Used to come to Ranfurly a LOT growing up with both sets of grandparents and several Aunts and Uncles living here. After a night in Oamaru there was a bit of time for the boys to have a play at the playground before heading for home (CHCH). Gathered the info and managed a sneaky find and sign. Thanks.
It pays to read carefully and count even more so. We solved it after a sit down and think. Luckily it was early and no one in the park. TFTC
The last time we were Oamaru, Tinytree was only young and she had a great time at this playground - which must be one of the best in the country. We enjoyed coming back today and Tinytree (who is not so tiny anymore) still enjoyed playing on a few of the pieces of equipment while Mrs B and I looked for the answers to this cache.
Had a good looking set of coordinates and then began the hunt in an are with lots of places to look around, I was concentrating on the wrong area so when Mrs B came to look she spotted the container almost right away. Unfortunately it was lying on the open ground just the container and lid without anything else around - obviously muggled. We found a scrap of paper and placed it back together nearby with a rock on top. Might need a check sometime. TFTC.

1 June 2020 12:48 pm. What a fantastic place to play. Unfortunately too many kids for MacPacMum or Pokernet to getaway with trying. TFTC drawp
Nice play time with boys. They didn’t help with solving as they were too busy playing around. TFTC
6945. Information collected whilst I was waiting for the boys to register for today's event, cache found whilst waiting for them to start, log submitted whilst waiting for a coffee. Great little spot! Tftc
TFTC- very cool playground - will have to bring the grandkids here

Together with our friends we solved this riddle today. The kids were playing first and then they have had a close look st the GZ. Thanks for the cache!

We are on the southern island for business and leisure and that leisure part includes geocaching, of course
Found well AFTER had to go back to throes lizards (had a good laugh reading the quest again...)

In the area today, grabbed a few caches while we took a wander round the bay.
We gathered the numbers and found we were 3 over for the checksum, rethought a couple of the answers and eventually got that right and this coords
At gz we were a little concerned about the proximity to the playground and looking suspicious, however we managed to get the cache and log signed

What a great playground! Wandered round gathering numbers, one was a problem but in the end we had the checksum. At GZ it was a quick find. Tftc.
Visiting Oamaru for the day and managed to solve the puzzle - even though our numbers didn’t quite add up to the checksum total. Used our initiative and entered what we thought would be the coordinates. Luckily we were right. Thanks for the cache!
We stayed at the campground next to the playground. After the rain stopped I went out and quickly found the numbers and the checksum was correct. As I approached GZ two people emerged from where My GPS was directing me to and I got some nice help in logging the cache.
Thank you very much for this cache.

As we stayed in campervan park next to the playground, our son went to play. It is more for adults or young adults than kids, as everything is huge in that playground, but he had lots of fun. At the end of the day, we started geocaching and easily solved the puzzle. It was too late to go get the cache so we waited between two rain shower the next day. As I came out of the bush with my son, someone asked me if I found anything in that bush. Of course it was another geocacher who gave me a geocoin.
The cache was a little off coordinates, looked like thrown on the ground. The book was signed by two kids who accidentaly found the cache. We replaced it and hide it the best we could.
Please be careful for muggle in that area. Kids love exploring...

INfo quickly gathered and the cache too. Whoops left Ms KR getting coffee at the market and it grew cold by the time I got back. Thanks
On a weekend away to Oamaru and environs.Time to start making our way home.

We enjoyed this cache and it wasn't too busy here today. Only one clue had us puzzled, but we worked out out. Thanks for the fun.
Our check sum sadly didn't add up but we went with the cords that we had and cache was found! Loved the playground, Thanks!
On a Sunday mission to finish off oamaru!!!
Didn't take long to locate signed both logs as the original cache is underneath the replacement ???

Did all the clues but no cache and didn't want to got ferreting around in a Bush by a playground as lots of parents watching even though little muppets were on team.
Had coffee at the Steam punk cafe then started the Harbour multi but got distracted by the Steam punk playground. Really very good and, for once, I didn't feel like a pervert when doing a playground cache! Rather surprised at the final, though, to discover TWO caches rather than one. A real belt and braces approach. TFTC.

Found with some help, daughter had solved the puzzle my job was to find it except I spent some time looking at the orginal co ords as that was what she gave me. Had fun in rhe park anyway tftc
There was a group collecting numbers when we arrived so we joined in and were pretty soon signing the log. I just love the very original playthings . TFTC .
I had collected quite a few of the answers when we joined up with a group of others doing the same and combined/compared a few answers then all strolled off in a big mob to find the cache. I think there were 9 of us in the end. TFTC # 11,148
Over from Australia to attend the Oamaru Geofest. Picking up some caches along the way. Was camping next door so it was easy to get the info needed to make this find. Found after a short search.

We are in Oamaru for the Geofest, and want to be in the group photo this morning. While waiting for people to arrive I went around and gathered the info for this one. Numbers got crunched easily enough but the final had to wait until after the photo! A bit of searching happened at GZ but I soon had it in hand. TFTC, drawp.

Its Sunday - and day 3 of our great expedition to Oamaru and day 2 of Geofest17.
With the CITO sorted we are back at this amazing kids park. I sooo wanted to come here during our travels. Had seen the pennyfarthing and had to come - so here we are. Capturing info on our way round, checking out all the great stuff here. There are some amazing birds and dophins and??? cut into the tree stumps over there. Some other cachers have all the info so tag along to the final, to help snag and tag. Cheers. Lover this place. Fav from me.

After the CITO it was time to check out the nearby park. This was one of Taybeedragon's big ticket items - she wanted to check out the elephant, the unicyclist and the molars. Well, we could not find the molars (Wrong part of town? Wrong town?). I especially like the unicycle. Those awesome handlebars!
We had about half of the coordinates parts when we came across a couple with the complete set heading for the final. So we joined in.

Cool playground, I wish I was a few years younger. Got part of the info before the CITO and the rest afterwards. Nice easy find with a few other cachers tftc drawp

Visiting from Brisbane to attend the Oamaru Geofest 2017.
Teamed up again with IolantheK and T-Tech to find Challenge/Puzzle caches and a few traditionals along the way.
After the CITO event at the Beach this morning, we continued our hunt for more caches. This one was close to where we were so had to complete this one. Numbers crunched, we were off and soon cache was located quickly.
Logbook signed and cache returned to its hide.
What a fabulous playground and even the big kids had fun on the flying fox.
A favourite from me..

Completed after the Clean the beach area CITO, had a nice chat to one of the local staff who was cleaning the toilets. He very much appreciated the group picking up the rubbish as he tended to focus on bins or anything big so having a good number picking up the smaller bits was fantastic. Place looking pretty tidy so quickly got answers to the questions and off to the final. All in good order, TFTC
Cache 7680. Attended a very early clean up on a quiet Sunday morning and discovered this in the process. Thanks. Rodney and Iris.
Collected the necessary information at the playground and did calculations before heading over to the CITO event over the road. As we were walking around searching for litter we also searched for a cache. Thanks drawp.
Do like a cache working out the co-ords this way. Thanks for placing it. It's given geofest attendees some added fun this weekend. Cheers and happy caching.
More of a multi really. Quick find after getting the numbers. Thanks for the walk around the equipment and for the cache.
Loved the play ground.

Greetings from an Auckland Cacher. Here with some of my crew for the “Almost Mega” event.

Had this listed as corrected coordinates on my phone as it was a field puzzle. This normally works well for me except today when I just handed my phone over to my mother as I ate breakfast in the car (she ate her on the drive) and she spent some time hunting the dot before I came over and we got the final sorted! Funny!
In the general area for the geofest. Today was a 'lazy' day with collecting some solved puzzles, high favourite caches and checking out the steampunk.
This is the most awesome playground I have seen in a while...if I had to choose it would be the penny farthing swings that were the best.
Found all the information and took the short walk to the final before heading to the local shop for an ice cream.
Thanks for the cache.

Down at the Oamaru Geofest with Keylev, UncleSamNZ and Stik-a-Crane. Today was the day to attempt solved caches and some challenge caches that we qualified for in and around Oamaru. Even managed to look at a few trads and two Wherigo's today!
We signed the log as Team SEAC 17 to save log paper.
Thanks to all the CO that have placed and maintained their caches.

Having had breakfast at the nearby cafe, The Galley (our friends call it The Rust Bucket ), we decided to try this again. Arrived as a group of other cachers headed in for the find. That made it much easier than my DNF yesterday and showed me that I'd rushed in yesterday with blinkers on. I wasn't even close, though at least I did a bit of CITO while I was there.

#14756.We enjoyed gathering the info, and it was good to team up with some fellow cachers at GZ. TFTC.
Found this with a group of other cachers who were also frantically hunting for it. I'm sure the people in the playground were wondering what was going on - it can't have looked good!!!! TFTC
3rd of our 6 Day Adventure to and around Oamaru for [Oamaru Geofest 2017](https://coord.info/GC6M2V0).
Today was mainly spent having a blast doing 'The Race' but we managed to fit nearby caches in aswell.
Wow, what a great playground and Man, it was busy today. We kinda guessed Q; C about the lizards (was that a trick question?) and then couldnt find the info for Q: A so used the checksum and ended up in a location that seemed to fit perfectly. I scared an injured little birdy at GZ who quickly crawled through the fence to get away from me. But alass we couldnt find anything While leaving the area we ran into the Ladies of Fergclan & Griffo and had a wee chat. They confirmed that our general GZ was correct and that their 'men' had found it already today which egged us on for a second try and Thankfully this time we found it pretty quickly. Why were we so blind before? Thanks for placing the cache and adding to our smilies

As is it's not bad enough DNF-ing this first thing this morning, I then added it to my watchlist and saw the "easy find" logs rolling in! Will have to try again tomorrow.
Staying right next door to this for the weekend how could I not find this one. After solving it found that funny enough it is right behind where our tents are next door, that now makes sense as to what the rustling in the trees all weekend has been.

Found with the help of a couple of visiting cachers. I did get a hell of a fright when I went into the bushes and spotted someone already in there. I guess that's what happens when there are a few hundred caches in town at the same time.
Lunchtime here, then playtime - this play area has been upgraded since I was last here. Especially love the carved tree trunks! Got halfway through collecting numbers, then were counting the number of rungs when spotted a group of people over in the distance handing round a...? we headed in their direction and sure enough, it was cachers and they had done the hard yards finding this well-hidden cache. Intercepted the logbook and signed with thanks!
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on a wander around the old area and the harbour during the Oamaru Geofest.
What a delightful playground, and the number gathering exercise had us exploring most of it. We were unsure of one of our numbers but the check sum (thanks, always appreciate one) agreed with our numbers so off we went. Joined in with another cacher who was searching, and then we got a tip (which turned out to be wrong!) about where to look. After a bit, SW turned up the goods. At this stage, we were joined by a Dunedin crew who gave us some great info about a cache on the wharf . One good turn deserves another. Thanks for an enjoyable multi. TFTC.

With Daywalk and eve07 in tow this was an easy cache as doing the ground work we couldn't help noticing a group standing in the quarter so joined them to sign the log.
Thought we liked look of this one as a bit of fun, took a while to find the treasure but we got it.TFTC
