Logs
found the spot but i think its been taken or something there was nothing to log our find
Thanks for your amazing cache observer*. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches. Found with Fisha1288 Cheers, Cympull.
Had my eye on this one for a few years/visits, found today. In the location was just a void so added a slip with name on for a log. Very muggly and overlooked here.
Meeting up with the little ones today at the new park, and after some play we went on a shortish stroll and snapped up some of the more recent (to me) hides.
Into June already and Winter is here with temperatures dropping later in the day, and curtains drawn earlier and earlier. Time to head to the 'Winterless North' - Yeah Right. A few days away up from Rangitikei and another 4 night stay at Chateau Ngunguru, the works bach. A good time to catch up with the family and grandchildren in Maungatapere, and a few trips to spend time with each other in Whangarei. Highlights of the visit; A few more Riser caches, some more 0B80B8 ones, meeting both of those COs within a few hours of each other on the Monday, and another rare Wherigo. As ever, thanks to all COs for their hides and maintenance.

Plenty of muggles, dogs and humans, around but none paying attention to us, at least not until we tried to leave. Quick find. Tftc
After attending an ANZAC event we decided to spend the afternoon enjoying the Autumn sunshine and geocaching. A few muggles in and around today however they were all busy with there masters. Quick find at GZ. Had to stop one of the 4 legged muggles following us out ... they had had enough and were ready to go home, even if their owners weren't. Found with The TravelbugTribe. TFGC
Me and CrystalFairy played fetch while bruzie and Infoferret watched us run around off leash. Signed with our initials, thanks the observer*!
Day 2 of our three day Geocaching trip to Whangarei. This stage included a large loop to the East of Whangarei picking up solved puzzles and some Old School Caches. We signed the log as BBIC for Bruzie, BFG, Infoferret and CrystalFairy.
Pity I didn't have my geohound with me. She would have loved this place. Thanks for the cache and showing us this place.

10:25 Day 2 of a 3 day expedition to the areas north of Auckland with Crystal Fairy and Barefootguru, (joined today by Bruzie) most logs signed as BBIC to save space and time. The focus of the trip was to find a number of puzzle caches solved over the last couple of years, plus other caches of interest we passed.
Had a ruff idea of what to look for, and the others dashed off to fetch.
TFTC the observer* for placing this cache, number 11897 for me.

I'm on a road trip to the far north, attempting to complete the PWGT Tahi Geotour.
This is day four, touring around Whangarei via Cape Reinga. In the company of barefootguru, InfoFerret, and CrystalFairy. Signed logs as "BBIC" for brevity.
Will expand on my logs, post photos, qualifying caches for challenges, etc. When I get home. TFTC
No fleas on us, apart from accidentally logging the wrong cache.

Two the two dogs out for a night find, cool little container super easy to find and the dogs got the park all to themselves
Taking a meandering journey to Onerahi with rustynz and gorby on the bikes, got this on the return journey. Thanks for the hide
We have done a CITO this morning, been shopping for an e-bike, bought oil and coolant for my van, and now we are hurtling along Whangarei's cycleways. Rusty has one of my e-bikes, I have my other and Rebel has his, huge amount of fun.
This cache we did on our way back from cycling but we are still heading back. Initially we thought this cache might be outside the fence, but when we looked properly at the cache page we realised we had to go into the compound, drove our e-bikes to the entrance and rusty volunteered to go in, we waited a while for her return, but at least she logged us in as smileys. Great fun and we carried along on our merry way.

Cycling back from Onerahi with rebel98 and gorby. Was on the outside of the fence, so backtracked to the entrance. Walked over to gz, and with a bit of a reach, had the cache.

Thanks to Geckoh for placing a new container in the holder, I have gone past several times lately to put one in but the park was always occupied.

We had to wait out a few dog owners that were in the process of leaving before we could take our geomutts in. They had a great time running around sniffing who had been there. Even managed to get Zoet to jump some of the jumps, climb the A frame and walk the see-saw. Great fun, found the cache was missing and as we had a spare available, we replaced the cache container. We have avoided finding this cache previously as it is always busy. Today it was all but empty. Never let a chance go by! Thanks for the placement the observer*.
Replacement container placed in it's holder. No one there this morning so a quick replacement mission.
Yes at last this is the first time I have passed this cache when there were no dog muggles.
Had a free run after many attempts thanks for the placement

Following some dialogue with cache owner he is generously allowed us to log a find on this cache with a promise of replacing the lost container, thank you to the observer.
The cache appears to be missing. The holder is there but no container. Marked this as a found as it is very unlikely I’ll be in this area for a long time. If the CO is unhappy with this, please msg me or delete this log. I’ll add another DNF to informed future visitors. TFTC
Found holder exactly where hint said. No cache inside. Assumed old pill container from holder
This is an easy find but it has been muggled. The container is no more. Wooden block is still in place. Should we say found?
Wasn’t planning on doing this one because I don’t own a dog , would have stuck out like a heke on a priest , but no one there so early on a Sunday morning Great.
This was fun!! Honestly we could have stayed at this place all day! Great cache, great place, have a well deserved favourite point
As we continue our hunt for the jewels we are led to the dog park. Coming during the night we have our torch just in case. Lucky we brought a little person with us as our daughter was able to get under and grab the cache.
Awesome hide thanks CO.

At long last, we found only one dog at the park, so waited until they had left and quickly nabbed the cache. Clever Camp, tftc!
There were several visitors to the park that came over and introduced themselves. I was not there to play their games, so they quickly lost interest in me.
My SmartPhone brought me to the large structure, so I gave that a thorough once over. This place fit the hint with some stretch of the imagination, but I finally looked around and saw something that really fit the hint. TFTC.

Waited for a day when not many dogs. Great hiding place! The dogs know where it is!
Well this had been a journey in the making for some time as for the past few weeks a group of us were working on puzzles in the area for a 24 hour mission (travel time included) to see what we could reasonably grab.
All caches were signed "HOAC" so as to save space in the logbook. So together with HKCB, 11HPG, kiwis69 & Alpenmilch83 we left Hamilton at 6.pm with the aim to do as many as possible before sleeping in the car, grabbing breakfast and continuing on. Plenty of laughs were had and stories told. Thanks to all the CO's for their efforts in keeping these going and taking the time and effort to place and maintain these caches.
This was one of the few traditional caches that were targeted to collect on the trip as we relocated the car on the way to the next colection of adventure
Thanks for the placement, Thanks for the cache

On another HOAC mission, this time with Cats&Dragons, Kiwis69, 11HPG11, and Alpenmilch80. The mission a 24 hour blitz on Whangarei puzzles, plus a certain multi to complete C&D's 5th loop around the D/T grid. Leaving Hamilton at 6pm, with a quick stop in Auckland to pick up A80, we were in Whangarei caching just after 10pm.
During the moonlight hours the plan was to focus on the puzzles around Onerahi, and the Pokemon series, while during thhe daylight the plan was to focus on thegreatauk puzzles plus a few others we had solved. The mission turned out to be fairly successful considering the level on difficultly of most of the hides we were targeting. The logs were signed as HOAC to save room on the logs, a big thanks must go out to all the CO's for their hides.
The co-ords were a bit out for us here, but the great hint soon put us in the right spot. Thanks for the hide.

A Friday night a bit different. I got picked up in AKL by a car loaded with Cats&Dragons, 11hpg11, kiwis69, HKCB & a trunk full of food, which could have lasted us for a week surviving in Whangarei. Started into the night with telling a lot of funny stories, enjoying laughter’s and geocaching, geocaching, geocaching.... Got a bit colder so the girls started getting into their onesies .
I enjoyed the time out with the HOAC crew and must say when I arrived back home I felt broken, but very happy and accomplished. TFTC and TFTTrip

Found during our 24-hr Whangarei caching mission. After a few weeks' planning and a lot of nights working our way through some of the more recently published puzzles, we (HKCB, 11HPG11, Alpenmilch83, C&D & myself) set off north on Friday evening with our caching wish-list. Great trip: really enjoyed exploring new areas, lots of laughs as always and good to find a few caches (although a bit more sleep would've been nice too!) before we headed back home on Saturday afternoon. All caches were signed "HOAC" so as to save space in the logbooks. First stop was some of the OC puzzle series, then back towards town for a few more that we thought would be easier to look for at night when there are no muggles around .. like this one! Straightforward find, TFTC
A trip to Whangarei for the night to collect a few caches is totally normal right? 2 hours sleep is also normal? Our group tonight consisted of Cats&Dragons, HKCB, Kiwis69, Alpenmilch80 and myself. We left Hamilton at 6pm on Friday and we were home by 6.30pm on Saturday. Some great caches were found and some laughs were had and a lot of sugar and caffeine consumed. A lot of planning and puzzle solving had gone into the prep work so we had a good plan of what caches to attack. Logs were signed as HOAC to save room
No dogs around tonight, just a few stray cats out on the prowl. Soon found the cache. THanks for the hide.
