Was musing I should do a cachers road guide about how long it actually takes to get from Kumara to Arthurs Pass - about 4 hours so far!Found with Piwaka54 while looking at the crystal clear river! TFTC
A Canterbury maintenance check day to Springfield was planned but we only made it as far as Lake Pearson today. This was our seventeenth stop of the day. Everything was All good here. Happy Caching
After years on our bucket list and three cancellations due to Covid, we are thrilled to finally be here. Following several cruises we flew from Sydney, Australia to Wellington, New Zealand to begin our next adventure. Picked up our rental vehicle and will be driving, exploring, hiking, and caching both islands for 3.5 weeks. The river was really roaring with all the overnight rains. Grabbed the container and added our ink to the log. Thanks for adding to our adventure today, Nukeworker and Racquetball Girl, Arkansas, USA
Missed this one 4 years ago, redeemed today on way back. Road worker was absent from his car so all good. Love the logbook labels, a nice touch for this series.
A trip out to Arthur’s Pass was todays plan and a walk up to the waterfall at Devils Punchbowl.
Otira viaduct was also on the cards as well as a bit of collateral caching as we passed by. A few funds and plenty of cool sites, and sights, were enjoyed. Many thanks to all COs for their hides.

Up for work, the Karamea and Hector OneNZ sites have recently been upgraded. Even though I already qualify for the 300minutes of the SI challenge, I'm collecting a few more minutes.
A few more in the series ticked off. Have meant to stop and get this several times, as I wanted to check out the water. Nice to do so today. Last for the day, now to get back to the city.
TFTC gracie7 + Mum, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 11 find(s) of 11 today, making this find #4200

I was up and away early this morning making my way to Lake Brunner. The roads are blissfully quiet early in the moring so having to frequently pull over wasn't a problem. After fueling up and having a refreshment stop it was time to head back the way I'd come. A quick stop here. TFTC
Found it! We started skipping caches for a bit before this to make sure we were at Arthur's Pass before the cafe closed, but we figured we'd have time to nip in and grab this one first (and we managed!). TFTC!
On my way to the viaduct, as that will be my turn around point, and it is also getting later in the day. Plenty of daylight (dark after 9.30pm) but I do need to get some dinner eventually
Easy parking, thanks for that, and with the hint went straight to the correct barrier, as I was on my way to the other one.
Thanks for the hide, love the little log books, and I am about to discover over the next two days, a series of bridge hides.

Off to ChCh for a daytrip to check on a handful each of Smurfs and AFBs. If we are lucky we might have time to squeeze in an Adventure Lab aswell. This was our first stop and we stopped because of the ambiguity of the last log (we thought maybe someone had replaced it). The log is perfectly dry and has been here seen we replaced it in Dec 2019. Thats the great thing about a bridge hide - it stays nice and dry! All good here. Happy Caching
Nice easy find, as with all the series. Thanks for the cache, on World Caching Day.
A little off the coordinates but a beauty of a location. Shoutout to the CO for picking some great spots

Having fun with busy paws on a GC adventure. Happy to get another BtG smile starting to look great on map. Thanks for this cache gracie7 + Mum.
Number10206 .10m out for me, needed hint to locate. Decided to stop here for lunch, and GSEL spotted a robin, first one of the trip. TFTC
#10,031. Day 2 of the extended Labour Weekend geocaching road trip. I flew down with geocaching buddy Infoferret yesterday with a target list of geotour caches, adventure labs, puzzle finals, a few virtuals and a hike to get the DGSC final. We can't resist stopping to pick up a few traditionals on the way to boost the overall numbers. The Adventure Labs claimed during the week down south have thrown my overall numbers into chaos. Maybe the souvenir 10,000 find will pop up today rather than on Bank's Peninsula. Who knows when.
After stopping for a coffee at the village, it was time to resume caching once more. We parked close by and checked one spot first but nothing there. Read the hint and the description and checked a different spot. Better luck this time. Signed the logbook, and replaced the cache where found. Thanks gracie7 + Mum for hiding it here. Saw a robin land out in the open while we were eating lunch by this pretty mountain stream.

I had pulled over to let some traffic pass when Mr i-gotit said that there is a cache here. My garmin directed me to the toad barrier but I had read the hint before getting out of the car. After a brief looksee where the garmin directed me I went to where the hint indicated and had a quick find.
I have been enjoying this BTG series and so many different bridges. Such a lot of work has gone into placing and maintaining them. TFTH
Out on a Boys Big Day of Arthurs Pass caching with Tufty. Stopped by to sign this one off as we made our way back to Arthurs Pass. TFTC.
I've been interested in finding this series of caches ever since they were published. Finally, I'm here. I think this is only the second time I've been on this road, the first time was probably a one-stop trip, silly eh! I much prefer taking my time, stopping lots, having a good look around and - - - just breathing the air. Thanks for helping me do just that!
Thanks gracie7 + Mum for placing this cache
This was a nice shiny new barrier - hope it's not getting a lot of use except for geocaching! TNLNSL

On our way from hokitika to christchurch stopping logs. Danke fürs Legen und Pflegen. Kind regards from Switzerland.
Day 4 of our West Coast road trip and time to head back to Christchurch. Stopped to collect these park and grabs whenever we could safely pull over - had to miss a few as too many cars behind us. TFTC
After a quick visit to Greymouth with Nosynel and Ethness it is time to go home. My plan is to get the BtG series completed with a few others. Please excuse the boring repetitive logs! No workers here today. One car eyed me as I found the hide. Later stopoed in AP and the car driver turned out to be another cacher IvyJ. Thanks for the cache, CO.

Nice quick find but not in the first place I checked. Very narrow bridge with some drivers not keen to give way. TFTC # 13,843
A two day trip over to the Coast with Bitsprayer.

There were road works nearby and the road was being controlled by lights. We took the opportunity to stop with very little traffic about then pull back into the flow of traffic when the lights next let the cars go through.
This series was the main reason for our trip today and we have now found them all except one where there were too many people in the adjacent carpark to risk looking for it.
Thanks to this and other finds I now need only one more find to get hold of that elusive World Turtle.
Thank you gracie7 + Mum

We are on a mission today trying to get the numbers for the Hidden Creatures Challenge. We were commited to some caches around Cass but also to our habit of caching back. Meaning travel as far as the furthest away cache planned for the day then find the caches on the way home. It meant a round trip of about 400km and meeting our objective in the process Overall the weather was nice to us although thick fog in the morning slowed us down for a while. We finished the BtG series that we started in May 2013 but for one that had to many prying eyes from parked vehicles. The weather conditions were from thick fog, freezing rain to bright sunshine, ink black night sky and in temperatures from below zero to rather pleasant. We awarded a fav for the series to the Master Cache. Thank you gracie7 + Mum
Found during my trip in New Zealand.
Today, it's my 19th day of my trip.
My travel today will be Tekapo - Mt Sunday - Arthur's Pass.
After a visit to the Mt Sunday, I come to Arthur's Pass in the afternoon.
I've done the hiking Avalanche Peak. It was a difficult one but it worth the case.
At the end of the day, I've gone to the viaduc lookout. On my way back, I've done a quick stop here to do this cache.
The cache was quickly found.
Thanks for this cache and thanks for discovering this place !
Greetings from Belgium !

I decided to do something that I love doing, that is, caching, on Valentines Day incorporating a bit of a drive as well.
I will be seeing a lot of bridges up close doing this series.
Cheers for the cache.

Quick find fortunately at the end closest to the pull in area. Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. BJ25. Find # 1562
With cab165, an easy find after figuring out what we’re looking for on the series. I always worry I’m going to look like I’m going to blow up the bridge... TFTC
Supporting my friend and his daughter as they spent a few days completing the Coast to Coast course. Took the opportunity over the first couple of days to complete 35 geocaches with the youngest daughter as my navigator.
Great weather over the couple of days geocaching. Apologies for the cut n paste logs.
We enjoyed the BtG series (having already grabbed a few when I supported my friends last year).

We were heading to Christchurch so thought we would go this way. We were really impressed with the amount of safe parking at these caches through here. As we were in a campervan we only stop where we feel safe and where we feel other road users won't get upset with us. Thanks for the BtG series
Found on a family trip to NZ. Today we were driving from lake Brunner to Christchurch and did as many btb caches as the family would allow. Great to break up a car trip. Tftc!
I have never stopped at this corner, but you always know Arthur's pass is close. I will be travelling this road often over the next year or two so only finding a couple of these caches today. Need to leave some for other journeys. TFTC
Today's mission was a drive from Christchurch to Greymouth on my way home to Nelson. Trying to find 'a few' caches along the way. It's been ages since I travelled this route so there were actually heaps of caches to find and at the end of the day my tally was 81. Biggest cache day for me for a while. One of my objectives for the day was to find as many BtG caches as I could. I managed to find quite a few. A few DNFs. A few DNAs due to muggles or distraction. BtG counter = 14. TFTC, Biggles.
Heading out on a Mad Monday Mission with TG and our plan tonight was to head to Arthurs Pass to possibly grab a FTF. TG grabbed me and we headed out west. The weather in Christchurch wasn't the nicest and heading into the mountains was amazing. At Lake Lyndon the skies were clear the lake was the fullest I have seen since I was a kid and there was light. Oh, how I love thee day light savings! Another sedate evening with only 320ish KMs under the belt. Oh, one more thing... the stars were super amazing as it was cold and clear in the moutains!
Heading back home and made a quick find to fill the gaps in the series.
Thanks for the cache gracie7 + Mum.

Day 2 S.I Sheffield to Greymouth
Drizzling rain most of the way, we stopped where we found it suitable with a car we were not used to.
The scenery along this route was amazing, great views from every angle. I think how more amazing it would be on a clear day.
It's so lovely & green & not having to worry about snakes sure is a big plus.
Favourite point given

I had cleaned up most of this series on a trip several years ago and I'm not sure how this one got missed. Anyway it was a quick find today in the first place checked. Signed log, TFTC
On a family touring holiday from the UK with Higster. We were travelling to Christchurch from Lake Tekapo and had already decided on the more scenic route. However, we all wanted to see some of the scenic railway route so we took a detour to Arthur's Pass. Unfortunately we did not have time to do all of the caches en route so just picked the ones where we could park up reasonably close by. A nice quick find in a lovely spot. TFTC
On a touring holiday of the south island with family JK2. Today traveling from Lake Tekapo to Christchurch taking this little scenic detour to Arthur's pass. with time against us we only picked up a few of the caches on route, all caches found without any issues and in good order, log books signed and caches replaced as found TFTC
Its a 3 week expedition, with The Seagnoid and Zara, round the South Island. Rakiura Walkway, my objective, is bagged, so its homeward bound the long way round. Its day 21 of our epic journey - Hokitika to Christchurch today.
Another quick snag and tag on our hop along journey to Christchurch today. Cheers

A quick find on the way over to Christchurch via Arthurs Pass, Thanks for the whole series.
Staying in castle hill for the weekend and exploring the Arthurs pass area today last one in the series for me today tftc
TFTC. Had the opportunity to bring a Coast to Coast participant over the pass for a training run.
What to do with the 4 hours between drop off and pickup?
Look closely at a few bridges between here and there!!
Thanks gracie7 + Mum for the cool series.

Week of tramping in Arthur's Pass. Doing some geocaching as we go. Found with reshamfiriri. Tftc.
We noticed that the barrier had had another beating so stopped to make sure the cache was still there. All good here
One of 25 caches located today on trip from Christchurch to Greymouth via Arthurs Pass. Light/medium rain most of day but still enjoyed the scenery and a leisurely drive. #1227. TFTC.
A quick Park and Grab. We know this corner, so moved as far away from the road as possible. Thanks God no trucks passed us. TFTC
Happily breaking up the journey today by stopping for the COs caches. This was the 6th..and the 5th of the BtG series.
Thanks.
Thanks.
