Have sent answers to the CO. Been leaving this earth cache for a while as I know its hard to access at high tide. I had some free time and it just happened that it was low tide coming up so I decided that it was time to do the cache. I personally like the cache because its not too complicated which some earth caches can be and there wasnt too many tasks to complete. They gave me enough of a challenge that I learned something and enjoyed it. TFTC!!
Is this even accessible at a high tide? Im glad my first visit has been at a low tide. these rock shelves feel very exposed! And the blowhole was functioning just fine for the purposes of this EC.Answers sent.Photos attached.Lovely spot!
Very neat Earthcache! The rocks were extremely slippery today due to the rain and the raging ocean. Thanks for creating this.
Had my eye on this cache for a while and today I had some time to kill on a rising tide, so I went for it. Managed to stay dry although some of the seaweed was very slippy! TFTC and greetings from West Yorkshire!
A very nice beach an a lot of people here, but its a very good weather and saturday, so..
Thanks for the cache.

deshadybear lives within walking distance of here and didn't know about the Blowhole or this hidden little beach area! So we both really enjoyed this cache and were blown away by the spot it took us, with the incredible cliff face as well and all the different rock layers in it!
We made sure to come at lowtide to get a good look at the blowhole for the questions, but this also meant it wasn't in full force and we didn't have to get wet either!
Sent our answers off to the CO and took a photo as well which has been added to this log!
Thanks cccritter7!

Answers sent. What a mission! After several big hikes today my knees were not happy. I did the memorial walk first then was lucky to spot the fisherman’s path down to the beach. Ankle deep water wading due to high tide finally brought me to the blowhole. Getting close enough to try and see if the water emptied did result in a splash or two!!! It was worth the effort. Fave point
A great cache. I saw that low tide was early this morning so off I went to find it. A tough walk and you will certainly get your feet wet. I thought I was doing well until a few minor falls at the end. TFTEC

Day 22 of a 3 week holiday driving from Canberra to Townsville and back to attend the Mega. Today was Coffs Harbour to Sydney. At Newcastle I was joined by ZQX for the rest of the journey. A pleasant wander to the blowhole. There was sufficient swell for the blowhole to be active, despite the tide being low. Well worth the visit. Answers submitted. TFTC.

Found with TikvaNZ. Our first cache in Newcastle since the mega event of 2018.
TikvaNZ picked me up from Newcastle Interchange at about 10:50 and we headed here. The shortcut to GZ seemed fenced off so we went the log way around. I almost slipped on the wet rocks three or four times, but somehow managed to stay upright. (Heading away from GZ, we followed some surfers up the shortcut - much faster.)
As for GZ itself - it was very spectacular. The tide was coming in and the swell was not insignificant, so we didn't want to dilly dally. We saw the blowhole do its thing a few times, and when I got close to take a closer look inside, I got a bit wet because I didn't back away fast enough. I've visited a few blowholes before, but I've never been so close to one as I was to this blowhole today. Very cool.
The cliffs to the NW are also worthy of an earth cache. There's a lot going on in that rock - lots of variety between the layers. And some of the rocks we passed as we worked our way to the blowhole were also worthy of an earthcache. Fascinating stuff.
Thanks cccritter7 for this earthcache. Worthy of a favourite point.

On previous visits to Newcastle when walking along the waterfront, I'd intended attempting this EarthCache but, even with low tide, the waves had been too big to get around the first point. Today, though, I struck it lucky with a late morning low tide and waves small enough to safely get to GZ but big enough for the blowhole to put on a good show. Some of the rocks around the first point are pretty slippery, though, particularly those in the shade.
I'd come prepared for a drenching by wearing only board shorts and a hat, and copped a good one just as I was sussing out the answers to the first couple of questions. Once I had the camera set up, though, it took ages for a big enough one to happen to do justice to the shot, and in that time I got a fair bit of salt spray on the lens so the contrast isn't too good. Oh well.
I've sent my answers to the CO and my photo at the blowhole is attached to this log. Many thanks for an enjoyable experience and geology lesson.

My plans for this week kept getting changed, so it was a last minute decision to head out to this cache with my youngest daughter today. We managed to arrive pretty much right on low tide . So it was easy to find the answers. A very amazing spot with awesome views. Thanks for the cache

Came here a while ago but finally go to logging, answers sent. It's always good to see mother nature in action, just like all the other blow holes. eg GC5JXYT. Beautiful views from this location, but a bit slippery though.. Thanks for the earthcache cccritter.

Was passing by this way today whilst doing a WP for Matt and Shell's virtual and decided to head down here for a look. But it was unfortunate that I must have timed it *perfectly* with the low tide. If the coordinates hadn't plotted the exact location of this thing I wouldn't have been sure I'd found it lol. Made for easy work of the questions so I guess that's something. Bummed I did not get to see it in action. There was a moment where the water may have spat up about half a metre but I missed even THAT, even though I took about a hundred shots lol. Man... this day!! It was a nice walk out and that cliff is quite intimidating. TFTEC, cccritter7.

It was a perfect sunny autumn day with the mercury reaching above 30°. Knowing that it would probably be the last day like this for the season, I had to find an excuse for a beach trip. With other duties in Newcastle we stopped at Bar Beach on the trip home. The main beach was extremely popular today, however there was a considerable amount less at the other beach and the blowhole we had virtually to ourselves.
There was no action at the blowhole so no chance of getting wet this time. I was fascinated with the Cliffs around here though, they could easily have been the focus of the earth cache themselves.
After answering the questions we had a lovely swim back at the beach.
Great spot, thanks for bringing us here!

Well 2020 has been a relatively slow year on the caching front due to COVID-19. If it wasn't for that it would have been a trip to the USA and Geocaching's 20th year celebrations.
However the crew got back together and The Rats, Hoojar and I teamed up for a few days caching up around the Hunter area. First it was to finish off some of the older OZGM series caches then up into the Watagans for more. Most of Saturday was spent tackling the great Dogs Head Trail then on Sunday it was down into Newcastle city for some great caches.
This was another find on our trip.

COVID has really put a dampener on this year’s caching ability, but it hasn't stopped my enthusiasm to get out and find a cache whenever possible. So, it was with excitement that I was keen to catch up with Steeba and Hoojar for our first caching weekend of the year.
We targeted a number of powertrails in the Central Coast and Hunter region over our 3-day caching frenzy. The weekend threw up a bit of everything, including a plethora of finds, mountain bush bashing, coastal caching, weather that varied from beautiful to bizarre, sleeping under the stars, some close calls with the flora and fauna, lovely local hospitality and most of all, a great time away with my mates”.
Thanks to all the C.O’s for placing and maintaining their caches for us to find. Apologises for the generic log but with so many finds I couldn’t personalise every one of them.
Sunday had us pondering our next move, we’d had such a good few day’s that we’d already completed our previous plan. Alas we headed for the coast where we found parks and beaches swarming with muggles, but we were still able to grab a few finds as we made our way southwards towards home.
I have my own EC about blowhole formations so it was interesting to another type. Steeba has sent ours to CO.
Thanks

With restrictions starting to ease in our Covid World, it was decided that 2020 caching really need to kick up a gear, and so a plan was set in motion for The Rats, Steeba and myself to head to the Newcastle and Hunter region. There were a few trails, power trails, and Lab Caches that would be hitting our radars, along with a milestone for The Rats. We headed off on Thursday evening and turned for jome on Sunday afternoon. A wonderful long weekend was had, and our cache finds topped 450 for the trip. All in all it was a great success.
The caches were excellent. Some indeed were amazing, and favourite points have been awarded. The company, as always, was faultless. The weather was varied. We had sun, rain, wind, colder, warm, more wind... A bit of everything! We managed to find a few nice spots to camp, and enjoyed the company of Big Matt and Marcus Vitruvius for dinner at a local establishment on Saturday evening.
Please forgive the boiler-plate log, I assure you it is no reflection on the caching experience of our few days away. Thank you to all cache owners for their hides.
We must be spoiled living near Kiama, as this is not what I expected in a Blow Hole. Steeba will send our answers to the CO.
Cheers

Had a blast of a weekend in Newcastle with lots of great caches and many favourite points given. Weather was chilly but perfect for caching. Parking not to many problems, but walked most of it anyway. Loved the walk along the Newcastle coast! Being from Kiama I was looking for something a little bigger, but this was was just nice as well.

Such a cool place just around the rocks a short walk from the beach. Checked that it was low tide so was safe to get to. Enjoyed the pink sky sunset colours on the way.
Found at 3:15 PM GAFF1.
Walked around after doing the Bar Beach cache and as it was low tide we made it without getting wet. Didn't know what to expect at GZ, so it was a bit of a surprise when the blowhole appeared right at our feet - maybe we were expecting a huge cavern or something spectacular like the geysers in NZ
Thanks cccritter.

I'm sitting at the blow hole as I'm writing this and honestly, this has been such an amazing adventure!
The first day I tried to get here it was the peak of high tide and a shark alert sounded so I decided to try the next day. On my next attempt it was pouring rain but I was determined, right up until I was called into work. And then today turned out to be a beautiful day. I brought my camera with me and got some awesome shots (which I'd love to upload once I've sorted through them).
I've spent over an hour here taking photos and watching the ocean and it's so so beautiful. I think this is my new favourite spot in Newcastle

Out on this beautiful Sunday morning, this being the northern tip of a loop that started at Dixon Beach, went to Mereweather Baths, The cycling Track, the Junction, then to here. bout 6KM all up. Beaches were absolutely packed today, from 7 am, with a forecast of very high temps. I walked around the headland from Dixon Beach, across Susan Gilmore, than to here. Swell was quite small today, though the surfers were in this little area trying to catch what swell there was. I am pretty sure i found the "Hole", though i was expecting just that. Must be spectacular when the seas are up. I found some other very interesting rock formations in the area as well. Thankyou for bringing me to this area.

A walk in Kosciusko National Park was planned many months ago for the first week of January, before the now infamous fires were but a spark. As Christmas came and went, and the fires grew worse, I was not aware that fires were also starting in Kosi National Park. A day before we were to fly out the park was closed for a few days due to nearby fires, so with the chance of still going, we headed to Sydney. We waited and waited for the warnings to clear, but sadly this was not to be, and in fact, it has gotten much worse and the closures continued. We were not going to Kosi . While this was an inconvenience for us, our thoughts are with those who have suffered so much worse than us in this devastating event.
We decided to stay around Sydney and Newcastle for the week, and salvage as much as we could of our holiday. We had some great walks, cliff faces, beaches, swims and rocky crags. It was a fantastic time all around. Thanks to all the CO’s for the work they have put into these caches.
I am told answers were sent for the group - The Bromance for Seffnjarah. CrookedPete, JeznDez and myself. We certainly came at the right tide - as the hole was filling nicely. Thanks for the fun.

Over the the past few years, the Bromance (comprising CrookedPete, Seffnjarah, SwellerFungus and most recently JezNDez) have enjoyed road trips, bushwalking, overnight hikes, mountain climbing, kayaking and other adventures in search of some elusive caches.
The first planned adventure for the brand new decade was a multi day hike in Kosciusko National Park bagging Australia's highest dozen peaks and all nearby caches.
Enroute to our adventure, Australia's bush fire crisis unfolded, and with the Kosciusko region on fire and closed, our plans gradually morphed to a caching road trip back to Queensland, collecting unusual, rare and interesting caches along the way.
After a night in Newcastle and a good breakfast feed, we hit the road. This was the first cache for the day. We opted to walk around the headland from the beach - lucky that the tide was out. Not a lot of swell today, so not much action at the blowhole. Answer sent.
Thanks cccritter7

My family and I travelled down from Brisbane to Vincentia and Canberra to spend the Christmas/New Year period with relatives. Yesterday my fellow geocaching team members from The Bromance (Swellerfungus, Crookedpete and JezNDez) arrived in Sydney to join me for a planned hike in Kosciusko National Park (ultimately cancelled due to closures by bush fires). The plan was to head to Canberra after collecting them from the airport but the smoke was so bad in Canberra that we decided to spend a few days caching in Sydney to see if conditions improved. Sadly they didn't and the National Park was closed so it was time to turn tail and slowly head for home.
After spending the night in Newcastle, we headed out after breakfast to commence the day of caching. This was our first stop and we accessed the beach from the Surf Club at Bar Beach (although we headed back to the car via the steep track up the cliffs on the next beach). Although not planned, the tide was low enough that we could walk along the high part of the beach and rocks and access GZ. Only a very slight swell today so not much blowing action evident today. We are staying over for a few days in Newcastle and of course I want to find a few geocaches as well.
After enjoying 'Newcastle's Best View' it was time to walk a but further for this cache. A small pathway was leading me down from the car park to a small secluded beach. From there I scrambled across the rocks and wave platforms until I reached the blow hole.
Having visions of the Kiama blow hole in my mind, I was a bit underwhelmed. Or perhaps the currents were not right today. However, the nearby steep rock cliff is quite imposing.
I took some photos and tried to obtain the answers and then retraced my steps back to the car park.

While taking a geocaching wander along the coastline we stopped off to undertake this Earthcache. The tide was low and so the Blowhole probably wasn't at its best but it still gave us the idea with the occasional bigger wave creating the desired reaction - we were also fascinated watching some truly impressive cross waves a bit further away! We made our Field Notes and have subsequently submitted our answers to the CO. Thanks so much for the Earthcache and for having bought us to this lovely out of the way location. Greetings from Zimbabwe
We were sad and happy to see this earth cache placed just days after our last visit. We are excited to finally make it a happy face on our upcoming trip.

Picked a great day to go for a walk along the beach and the rocks. Found GZ and got to work answering our questions. I am amazed how observant we have become since geocaching and especially when doing earthcaches. This is an amazing place which we have never been to and we have lived here all our lives. On our walk around the shore we headed down to The blowhole when out in the distance we notice some other blowholes. Some whales playing in the distance, this is a great time of the year to come here and see them, they could come a little close for a little ones though lucky geo mum had a long lens so we could take some close good shots.

I've been wanting to cross this one off my list for a while. Finally was in the area at low tide. TFTC
We walked down here today to Bar Beach and climbed around the rocks - we had come here on Tuesday afternoon but the tide was very high and we didn't fancy climbing on the slippery rocks as it was getting dark. Returned today and the walk to GZ wasn't difficult at all - we got there and started answering the questions. Unfortunately there was very little water that would spray out of the hole, since we had come about an hour before low tide, but that did make it easier to answer the questions - we could stand right at the edge and look down into it. A great earthcache - answers messaged to CO. TFTC!
Found while at the 2018 Mega Event. I have sent the answers to the Earthcache questions to the CO. Thanks for the cache I had fun visiting the Blowhole at Bar Beach.
We were up in Newcastle for some work-related business and had a chance to pick up a few caches, including several earthcaches. This is a really awesome area to explore. We parked at the suggested parking area and made our way down to the beach. From there we headed back north along the wavecut platforms, picking our way along the shore. Fortunately, it was low tide so we were able to get to the blowhole quite easily without getting our feet wet. I suppose the downside is that the blowhole was a bit less active than it might be with a higher tide.
We also found another path down to the blowhole which we took on our return to the car park. I guess that would be useful for when the tide is higher. On this path there is an exposed coal seam -- potential for another earthcache listing?
We just loved this cove with the high cliffs and rugged shoreline. As it was late afternoon, heading towards evening, we didn't have as much time as we would have liked to explore the area a bit more. But now that we know of this spot, we could return if we're in Newcastle again sometime.
Thanks for the great earthcache. We didn't earn any extra points for getting wet because there were only a few large wave bursts, but we did experience one particularly good whoosh with the ensuing shower. Great fun.

We've been in the area for many years, and didn't know this existed, so were very happy to have a reason to go. We'd never been past Susan Gilmour. Today the tide was quite low, but to compensate for that we had rain dripping from the skies. There were a number of rock fishermen in the area, but no-one took any notice of us. Coords were spot on. It was great looking up at the high cliffs above - a new perspective. Tftc!
Wednesday 30 August 2017 - another glorious Winter's day in the low 20s finding 4 caches (2 EarthCaches & 1 trad in Newcastle, 1 trad at Caves Beach Swansea). Unfortunately the hide tides meant that we could not complete 3 Earthcaches - 2 in Newcastle and one at Caves Beach.
We started this cache on the hope that the high tide would not hinder us however we were disappointed that we could not get too far. As we were only passing through the city time did not permit us to wait for low tide. Maybe next time we pass through this beautiful shoreline. Thx cccriter7.

This was a really cool spot so we had to stop off to check it out. Thanks for setting this up as we would not have known about it otherwise.
Today the weather is very variable. Sometimes the sun shines, sometimes we have to wait a while, as it rains. At the promenade is very busy, since here a triatlon takes place and therefore many muggles are on the way. We could find some containers, also Earthcaches were determined. A great landscape and we had fantastic views.
Thanks to all the owners of Moorhelmis from Germany

Been meaning to do this cache for a while, just never had the time, so it was good to finally get it done. Went at low tide so i didn't get wet, but there wasn't much of a splash either so i will have to return. Very nice location. Easy walk to the blowhole. Tftc!!! #963
Loved the walk around the headland. We struck low tide and beautiful sunny day with a light breeze. Had fun taking photos. Some great splashes up against the rocks. Tftc
Beautiful day, just happened to arrive at the right tide time. Amazing. Shame we didn't get to see it spurt as the tide was just that low, but loved the views. Thank you.
We had a girls weekend away at Lake Macquarie.
We solved a couple of mysteries before hand to pick them up on the way.
We stopped at many beautiful spots and swam at nice beaches and took some nice little scenic walks. We also swam in the rockpool. We found many nice caches.
Thank you

Visited Earthcaches along the route to Coffs Harbour.
Finally got around to checking my emails.
Thanks for the Earthcaches! Sorry for the delayed logs.

We came here after doing Million Dollar Boardwalk, we saw the blowhole bursting - and got a little bit wet! Thanks cccritter7
I've lived here for 11 years now, and have never been onto Bar Beach, and certainly never around to the Blowhole - we set off, myself and two sons, down to age 3, we chose a fairly low tide to aid our trek....
We had a great time, the walk around to the Blowhole was across the rocks and sand, slow going as the kids checked out every crab we saw!
We got wet from a couple of blowhole blasts, even at low tide.....
In my opinion, the best cache in the Newcastle area - thanks for bringing us here....

TFTC! Got to see the blowhole at high tide. Would have never come out here were it not for GC. Got soaked from the water and rain today. Cheers from California!

I visited this one today and originally pulled the pin as the tide was too high. I instead opted to go for a walk up to the new memorial walk. On the way back I spotted a concrete path that looked like it could get me to where I needed to go. I followed it down and around to the GZ and it wasn't long until I had all the answers except what the bottom of the hole had in it. That took a fair bit of waiting and dodging of the big waves! I love this spot. I haven't been here in about 5 years. I have sent the owner a message with my answers.
Thanks cccritter for the cache. [/Blue]

Found during my first roadtrip to the Gold Coast and Brisbane. The original intention was to go run the Gold Coast marathon, but that was soon changed en-route - it became a 2-week 5000km geocaching roadtrip !
Now heading back south homewardbound I spent the sunny morning walking around Newcastle admiring the views.
I do enjoy earthcaches, as I end up discovering much more than I otherwise would from guidebooks. So I decided to take a little walk to investigate the blowhole. I approached from Susan Gilmore beach, where police had discovered a body earlier in the morning. Glad this was an EC and not a traditional, as any search today would have aroused suspicion from the authorities.
The short walk along the beach and rocks was great, and conditions were ideal for some great blowhole action. I was careful with my observations around GZ - didn't want to fall and add to the police work today!
Answers emailed to CO. Thanks for the EC, cccritter.

Found @ 1645, with High Tide @ 1800 I was told. After an attempt from the suggested route to the Blow Hole and coming across some fishermen that were almost being washed off the edge of the sea swimming pool I heard that there was an alternate route.
TRY: S XXXII LVI.CCCLXV E CLI XLVI.CCXXIX if there is any doubt about getting around the first point.
From this well used (but fenced off) path it was quite simple to rock hop past any waves.
Got to the GZ, went to reach for my phone and 'dam' it wasn't in my raincoat pocket. Wrote down the required info, tho the waves were already washing right over the platform. Brought back good memories.
Will add a bookmark for the Challenging Cache elective #4 (#278/400)

Had a day of caching with geo daughter and explored Newcastle beaches. Blowhole not quite what I expected but still enjoyed walking across rock shelf as it was low tide. Love the Newcastle coastal area. A true gem. TFTC and the geological information. Makes me appreciate areas more.
I've lived here in Newcastle for 15 years and this is the first time I have been here. Sadly right at the lowest of low tide so not much to see. Email with answers to follow. TFTC FP from me for making me go somewhere new!
with the permission from cccritter i can now log this cache. on an afternoon to newcastle forbidden ground and i decided to do an earth cache (a first for me) as daylight was fading. having been to this area before i never knew that this blowhole was here. After walking down the beach and coming across the blowhole we venture out and up to the top of the headland to have a look at the view. this is a magnificent place and for that it gets a favourite point from me. thank you cccritter for the placement.
what a wonderful and beautiful spot here in Newcastle, visiting down from Brisbane and staying with Scroggy88 together without the kids we shot off for a couple in the area but with a dnf and to long spent there we only had time and day light for one more. we decided on this (The blowhole). with all the info taken note we headed up and out to the car before the sun left us altogether and I didn't want to be stuck down here. thanks cccritter nice spot and great location tftEC Fav point for location
I had been here before, when the sea was high and wild, and could not get close enough to answer some of the questions. This time I came a little after low tide and it barely made a splash. But I got a real good look at the hole and mechanics. And got very up close and personal to the blowhole. I would recommend something in the middle of the tides, as this was a bit anti climactic. Though I did have a really great time looking through the rock pools, I saw crabs, sea anemones, those fish, them squirter seaweed things and heaps of barnacles. All in all lots of fun.
Thanks for bringing me here again and for the great information!

We parked at the Bar Beach car-park and had a good time rock-hopping and beach walking around to GZ. We passed only three people and a couple of sooty oyster catchers once we rounded the headland. We really enjoyed the site. Even at low tide the blowhole was putting on a show. I managed to get wet but not enough for the extra geo-points.

yebo cccritter7,
my outing to newcastle had been fabulous, first time here and the sun was shining - it was hot, very hot, so i parked myself at "splash" upon the beach , armed myself with water and ice-cream, got rid of my shoes and socks, up the trousers and wandered down to the beach approaching GZ
there was a queue at GZ, kids and dogs and dogs and kids around. it took a while until it was my turn to be approach closer
it was a great day and lots of fun!

As the tide was out and it was a beautiful sunny day we decided to head out here and complete this Earthcache. There were thousands of bluebottle jellyfish washed up on the beach from recent storms and more interestingly, there was a lot of pumice (floating volcanic rock) that had washed up on the beach too (Rach collected a pocket full).
We wandered around to the blowhole and gathered the required info, Mr C even stood too close and got a bit wet. On the way back Rach stacked it down some rocks on the slippery green weed and bruised her hip and hurt her wrist and shoulder (she'll be fine in a few days).
Always love completing an Earthache and we appreciate the time and effort it takes to putting it together and getting it published. Also loved the certificate cccritter7 emailed us on completing it! A favourite point from us.

Great little walk down to an area I've never been. Took some friends along as well!!! TFTC I'll email the answers and photo when I get home tonight
After collecting the relevant information I then attempted to get a "Selfie" in front of the blow hole but as I did it at low tide and the swell had dropped off the spray was less.
Am now able to log with permission.
Thanks cccritter for having an interesting Earth Cache.

Reperio at 0800.
I got up early to visit this cache, and surprisingly after living in the area for 4 years, I still hadn't seen this feature. I love the formations of blowholes...and is one of the few geological features that really gives something back to the people who look upon them! A great spot, and an interesting geological location.

TFTC!!! Absolutely loved this Earth Cache. What an interesting & beautiful spot!! The tide was low so I was able to negotiate the rocks easily, but also the swell was small so the hole was only blowing 2m high. Will be bringing Mrs Mayers here when the swell is bigger. Learnt so much about it. Thank you so much!!
Yeah ! another earth cache off my list. Went in a few days ago with low tide luckily as i didn't want to get wet. Too cold. Sent answers to co and they were all good. TFTC
Picked a safe day to find this one with the kids. Will have to visit another day when it is pumping!

During a walk across the Newcastle shoreline, came across this EC. Thankfully for me, i planned to get this one at low tide, which meant i didn't get wet and I could properley complete. Gathered the relevant data, before meeting HorsingAround and the family. Logged with permission.
Thanks for the cache Chris

A walk in the afternoon from Newcastle East and all the way to Bar Beach.
This earthcache was the aim for this afternoon, a beautiful spot out here and very few other people around. The tide was failry low and so the blow was not very high but the hole was obvious. Nice for picture taking around here. Thanks for bringing me here and for this nice and interesting Cache cccritter.

Great place for a geo. Unfortunately we didn't find it but had a lovely adventure. Wonderful blow hole.
I had two friends in town who were seeking an adventure, I e decided to climb down to blowhole, and there WAS A MASSIVE SWELL, which resulted in two of us getting completely soaked, from head to toe in the 5 meter high blowouts! !
Thanks for the adventure!

So going anywhere near high tide time is a bad idea

It is a nice spot out here if I don't say myself glad you could put a good EC here guys. If you take the time to walk out here you can certainly see some amazing erosion over centuries of constant duration. Nearby is a great example of the layers of sediment that we all walk above everyday and most wouldn't even know about it. We didn't get wet today.
Logged with permission from the CO. Thanks for the EC again guys.

Almost gave up as I drove around and around trying to get a park on a fine, warm Sunday morning. Decided to go as far up the top carpark as possible to get an idea of what to expect if I came back later this afternoon.
As I parked I noticed Joe Fisherman climbing the fence and heading down to where I could see a concrete path and I decided to follow him. Not a bad descent (except for the last tricky bit) and soon I could see the blowhole in action!
Took a few self-portraits but couldn't quite judge the 12 second delay to coincide with the action but had an enjoyable visit! TFTC cccritter7!!
