Hi DanielHurri
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

Had a very good look here but nothing found. Many DNFs now and it seems the co isn't caching anymore?

Master 11 and I had a good look and a poke by didn't find anything. Will try another day.
Sorry to say I couldn't find it !!
Which of course makes my ego say it must be harder than D1 T1
Had a scramble around all the obvious spots and even found a large piece of pumice which looked suspiciously carved-out but no container to be found.
Will try again another day.

Walked the beautiful bush track from Omori to Pukawa today.
I had the GPS around my neck as we were standing by the boat ramp when the girl, who it turned out, was the last to sign the log (just yesterday), pointed and said - "it's along there". Nice to chat with another friendly cacher I hadn't come across before.
The direction indicated by the GPS at about 15m and GrandmaLarry's log clue made this a simple grade 1.0 find. TFTC.

After a few attempts, and the cache being destroyed we finally nabbed this one, tftc
Visited Pukawa today as a memorial visit given our time spent here with our children. GPSr took me to a general area where I stuck my head under the cover of the scrub and saw the cache exposed on the other side of the patch of scrub. Off round to the other side to grab the cache, signed the log, TN and left where found but with some cover on the cache.
This was a nice visit to Pukawa which bought back lots of memories and to grab a cache was a bonus - thanks for the placement DanielHurri.

A lovely little beach on the shores of Lake Taupo. We made a nice quick and easy find here. Thanks for showing us this location and TFTC!
This one we found a little tricky mainly because we had in our own minds where we thought it might be and it wasn't there at all. Had to laugh at ourselves when we discovered its real hide. Thanks for the cache DanielHurri! Cheers!
Spending the afternoon caching around the west side of Lake Taupo - saw some lovely scenery and quite a bit of water activity.
After a short search we found its little hiding spot. Thanks.

Last full day in Turangi for the mega event and it was time to go and get some caches up the west side of the lake for a bit of a numbers run. 19 finds in total for the day so not huge but still a bit of fun and great scenery.
A short walk from the car park, and then a short but fruitless search under the seat had me looking a little further afield and soon enough it was cache in hand. Some people further up the beach but out of sight of where I was looking. Thanks DanielHurri.

Another nice cache in a very nice spot.

For our weekend of MEGA adventures we decided on a name of INT GEO as our team included cachers from USA, Fiji and Denmark with a couple of kiwis making up the balance. From the start we decided on quality not quantity but we wanted to include a mix of cache types to share with our newbie cacher.
We enjoyed two days out and about with good weather, great caches shared with a fun team.
As the kiwis in the team, we were constantly reminded of the amazing scenery that we simply take for granted as we were frequently shown examples of "trees dripping with colour", "lichens growing amongst the volcanic vomit", "picturesque lakeside bays" and "mountains of meringue"...... Thanks for all the COs for sharing with us a fabulous area of NZ.
Quick find then we took time to enjoy the fabulous beach and gathered some pumice TFTC.

Favourite added for the great spot.
Time to log our little trip to the Mega in Turangi. Enroute we detoured via Feilding for the Yumfest dinner, a night cache and a bit of puzzle gathering. Of course there were traditionals, a few multis, some earthcaches and lots of coffee stops to endure. Most found with bkj97, Edvern or the crew we stayed with in Turangi. Now of course the task of logging them all becomes a necessity. My apologies for the "cut and paste" logs. I will add favourites where I think it was particularly memorable. Thanks to all the cache owners for giving us things to do on our journey. It seemed strange to drive back to the Kapiti Coast post Mega without stopping for any caches. Happy caching. TFTCSL

Awesome spot! I didn't envy the family out paddling in the lake. Willbuild distracted them while the rest of us found, signed (stamped) and replaced. Tftc
Down from Auckland for the Mega event. Drove out here this morning to grab a few caches so we achieved something today . . . . . . great little spot, thanks for bringing us here.
A beautiful spot on the lake's edge. Quite windy today and a bit of chop. Cache was a quick find with TregearP and is all in good order. TNLNSL, TFTC.
Visiting Turangi for the Mega - a great spot, and picked up a piece of **Pumice** as a memento of our Labour Weekend adventures.
Turangi Mega Event NZ Day2
Today we chose to tour the east side of Lake Taupo, picking up caches as we made our way along.
What a great way to visit this very scenic area. Mountains, Lakes & Mud Pools.

Out and about with bkj97 and Little Blue Hen. What a delightful location beside the lake on a beautiful sunny morning, TFTC.
Beautiful day. Found with little blue hen and edvern while attending the Mega. Favourite for bringing us to this lovely spot. TFTCSL
It was a lovely afternoon for a quiet stroll along the lakeside trail from the boat ramp to Pukawa
So that was what I did,
and found this cache
A beautiful beachside location,
with clear waters lapping the shore.
Not a hint of salt in it !! [:o]

A rainy day walk and coordinates were great. In the undergrowth is pretty accurate.
Found this one in the afternoon, a bike ride from kuratau and back was one thing, but finding the cache was another. My initial thought was wrong, and I continued to search around for a bit longer. However, after spending over an hour at secret beach 1 I was not feeling very patient and began to leave the site. On my way out I remembered about the travel bug that was stored inside, and the photo that it's previous carrier had taken. After figuring out what the cache I was looking for looked like, I turned around scanned the area and there it was. TFTC #28
#26. Hints and feedback clues helped. Thought the table was GZ for a while but only spiderwebs there! But it wasn't too long before hiding place became clear! First time me and GB Leader had been to this lovely spot. Celebrated by eating at Oreti resort just up the hill. TFTC.
With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... Travelling around the south-western shores of Lake Taupo. Our plan is to clear out as many caches as possible, before the Mega Event turns this area into crazy-land...
There were several people enjoying the beach today, and it looked like a nice, deep place to take a swim. However, bathers had to contend with a fisherman casting his line around them. Amidst all of this action, Gap sneaked into the surrounding undergrowth and returned with the cache for signing. TFTC.

We read previous logs and heeded their advice so this was a quick find. TFTC
What a beautiful beach we would have liked to stay longer and gone for a swim. We signed the log. TFTC
I read too much into the hint, but when I trusted the coordinates had the cache in hand. Nice beach with a number of swimmers and sunbathers today.
Found it. And also enjoyed swimming at this lovely beach! I read too much into the hint too; I was sure it was under that round bench (it is not).

This cache is Missing In Action. It will be at lease 6 months before it is replaced.
I have had a number of reports that this cache may be Missing In Action. I am not intending to disable it yet as I am currently in Wellington and my friend who is supposed to be minding it is out of the country at the moment. If any previous finder could check on the cache it would be greatly appreciated and I will take action from there
Rode along the bike trail from Omori to Pukawa. Knew that this cache was not likely to be there. It wasn't. Found the remains of the stump up on the edge of the bush out of sight. Looks like they have been dumped there.
Was standing on GZ, with both the GPS and cell phone, appears to have been stump grinding at GZ and maybe the cache went along with the stump? I agree with the previous DNF
I fear that the stump has been removed after looking at some of the photos. Newly cleaned up area were and old stump has been?
Found it. No one around and the most beautiful evening double complete rainbow over the lake
Quite a few people around so Mrs frewilys pretended to take photos to cover Mr frewilys. What a wonderful spot. Tftc
Had to revisit this one this after having a crack this morning during a period of high muggle saturation. Found quickly on our 2nd attempt in more favourable conditions. We waded around from the secret beach cache. The rocks were sharper than expected, extreme caching! Good way to spend a hot but drizzly afternoon. Thanks!
on our long holiday to taranaki and back to gisborne, a loop track.a lovely walk across a hidden beach, lots of rabbits counted about 20,
Lots of people about on a lovely summer day, but we managed to be discrete and still collect the cache.
Great spot here.

Down at the lakeside enjoying the sunny day and a swim in the lake. Waited until late in the day to approach the cache, as it was busy here today, so the area was free of muggles. Searched a couple of potential hiding spots before finding the well-hidden cache. TFTC and a FP a great place to visit.
TFTC. Nicely hidden, took me a few mins to locate. Glad we don't have aussie spiders!
#6068. We went to explore the south-western shores of Lake Taupo for an afternoon drive today. A stop in Pukawa to have a little wander on the beach. Thought we might have to get wet feet to cross the stream … and then we spotted the bridge. Doh! The place was relatively quiet today. Found after a short search. Good hide. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log. Thanks for the cache.
A bit tricky. Many possible hidey holes. Lovely beach but not for lingering on this rainy day. TFTC
Found on a trip away with Just-Lookin to walk the Tongariro Crossing.

Was meant to get a early start and get a full days caching in but had a bit of a lie in and didn't get out the door till mid morning. Managed to find all that I wanted and ended up with 22 caches for the day. Had fallen in love with the area once the day was done, thanks to all the cache owners for placing the caches and bringing me here.
1st cache of the day, no muggles about on this beautiful morning. Cache soon found.

Managed to grab it just before the weather turned nasty. Enjoyed the walk through the pukawa - omori track. Heaps of birdlife!
Never played before, this was our very first find. Was in walking distance from where we were staying, so was a logical start point for us. It helped being fairly easy to find. Enjoyed it so much that we will continue playing for the rest of our holiday. TFTC.
Found by my 5-year old daughter who usually gets beat to the find by her 6-year old brother. The kids liked the small stream as well as they could cross it with their gumboots, whereas their dad needed to use the nearby bridge.
