Second attempt to find this cache and this time there were 3 of us looking. Looked for at least 20 minutes and couldn't bring ourselves to explore the 3 doggie bags at GZ...please tell me someone that they aren't in there?!
Cache #1817.
I hate cockroach. Very very much. I feel very unconfutable when I saw the cockroach, but I have to deal with it if I found it at home.
Today, I tried 5 caches when I was in the area. Unfortunately, I only found the second and the third one. This was the first cache I found today.
Walked a long distance to GZ, and start searching. Searched for a while, but cannot find the cache. Considering there were so many favourite points for this one, I don't want to give up too easy.
Finally, I found the cache on the ground. But wait a second, the lid was missing, and the log sheet was damaged. The last log on the log sheet indicated it was found on 7th of February, 2016. Two and a half years ago? Strange, strange, maybe there were two caches, and I found the old one?
Anyway, I signed the log sheet, hid the cache in somewhere which matches the hint, and covered it with a piece of bark.
Thanks for the cache, 3LG. I like your "Animal Facts" cache series, and I hate the real cockroach.

Nicely hidden, found by Mrs frog after a short search, log a little damp

F(H)ound It! #2296 - @ 4:50 PM
Me and the Ridgeo-pup are visiting Adelaide for a couple of days. Only a few local caches found as I have spent most of my time logging after the ALEX17 Mega.
A few discarded used dog poo bags at GZ were a bit off-putting but otherwise a fantastic hide in a beautiful location.
Thanks for the cache 3LG

Picked this part of the Torrens for Olly's morning walk to hopefully grab a couple of caches. Found this one after about 10 mins of searching. Great hide . tftc
Tricky hide to find, but persistence pays.
A good 20mins and CIH in an obvious location. Argh, relieved, thanks for the evening smiley

Perhaps it is still here but my heart is not in the search with all the flood debris around. The council are going to be busy around here for a while.
Very tricky and clever, loved climbing and practicing my balancing, it was like I was a kid again. My grandies would of loved joining me.
Going for a walk along the Torrens collecting some caches with scramping...trying to think like a cockroach...so many places I would like to hide...ah!! but then I came out into the light...signed & returned to my hide...thanks for the adventure 3LG
Wow, that was challenging! Third visit and I finally captured the roach. TFTC!
Looked under, over & in, and are posting our first dnf. Very tricky cache
Thanks to a handy hint from the CO, [^] I ventured back today to have another crack at the Animal Facts : 'Cockroach' cache. I got there only to be greeted by the friend or family member of the Cache's namesake [:o] (see attached pic) I asked him/her... "You're not here to tell me where it is, right?" I was correct lol Even with the handy hint it still took me about 20+ minutes. Man! this is a ripper of a hide (Fave point no worries there ) The cache was found at 11:15 on 3 July 2016. Like I said in yesterday's DNF log, it definantly earns it's 3 and a half star D rating! TFTC and a very challenging hide 3LG
Sat 2 July 2016. This one most definantly earns it's 3 and a half Star D rating. I must have looked for over 30mins for this very tricky hide. A recently downed tree clearly attacked by a Chainsaw Muggle is where I was SO hoping this hide wasn't [:o] To make matters worse the GPS was sending me to two nearby trees aaaargh. I think i'll stick to the Google Sat photo I take before venturing out ha ha. Oh well, ya win some ya lose some, TFTH and challenge 3LG
Well I know the old cockroache has good camouflage, this one eluded us. Checked what we thought was every hidey hole and nook and cranny. Even rechecked on our return walk. Elusive little critter!
The tree was a lot bigger and standing upwards last time I was here, the old cache might be in there somewhere but a new cache has been placed here and ready to be found again.
We searched and searched but did not turn this one up. Looks like this area has been disturbed... Maybe the tree has fallen down or been cut down TFTC
Searched for a while, noticed that there was fresh chain saw dust so perhaps the cockroach hideaway has been disturbed?
After dropping Cal off at his Aunts, I found myself with some spare time to cache and walk.
I stopped nearby and set off for a walk, with this the first stop.
After 20minutes of searching I decided to call a friend, but they couldn't remember it.
The GPSr had me zeroing out on grass, but I expanded the area to the obvious, which was so huge to search. Climbed on and under and along to no avail
Not sure when I'll be back this way. I'd say bloody cockroaches, but with rellies and my mum born in NSW, I find I have to cheer them on every year (and be disappointed in them).
Cheers

TFTC. My 250th find. Found fairly quickly. For once, all 3 GPS devices were in synch.
Today I took the geokids Poptart394 and RyeRye467 for a scooter ride down Linear Park. We stopped off for a couple of caches along the way.
Lots of potential hiding spots. We searched most of them before we finally found the prize.
Tricky find. Thanks for the cache.

We had a long search but we finally found it. Found with ozmilo and Poptart394. Thanks for the cache.
Damn these Bug gers of caches. Mrs SASR seems to have the eye today with a quick find. TFTC 3LG
This was an easy little find for the rat today.

A busy day for Brodie and I, driving muggle partner to Morphett Vale then 2 different appointments near the city, then taking CPw's mum shopping and finding some caches amongst all of this. [|)]
6 caches were found for the day.
A not so quick find here due to muggles and their dogs: Brodie had some great company for a while before I again got to look and make the find.

Circled the tree once, then found it on our second time around .
It certainly wasn't there last time we looked [B)]. TNLNSL.
Thanks 3LG.

Today was Day 4 of our Adelaide trip and the plan was to spend a bit of time at Thorndon Park. To get there I opted to bike and cache up the Linear Trail. A quick find. TFTC.
After looking (dreaming) at some display homes at Lightsview, we decided to do some caching along Linear Park on a beautifully sunny, albeit decidedly cool day. After fulfilling our need for caffeine and a chocolate donut, we pulled out our new folding bikes and Poppy the Wonderdog. We crossed the stream and started on some of the Animal Facts series.
OMG! What a very clever little find! Started checking in the obvious area and went passed it a few times before seeing the find and wondered how we missed it! Bravo loved it! TFTC

Veni, Vidi, Scripti. Yay. Finally able to cross this off the DNF list. Noticed on return from overseas holidays that this had been restored so this afternoon on the way home from work it was time to revisit this site. Walked to GZ and started the search in the obvious spot and missed it twice before spotting the little critter. Luckily with the cold weather there are few muggles about so there was no real need to be sneaky. Retrieved signed log and replaced it on its cozy little hiding spot. Gratias pro cache.
Suscoe was out and about caching in the very good company of the Random Walkers this morning.
Another sunny day in Adelaide and we could put up with the chilly start to find a few more caches.
We were enjoying the walk along the river trail and the eagle eyed male of the random walkers spotted this one.
Great little cache.
Thanks to 3LG for placing this cache here.

Good spotting by Nicholas. Took ages before anyone would touch it as looks so real. TFTC
A friendly reminder...
Please remember, for this cache, to bring your own writing stick and make your mark on the log. There is an increase of logs stating "did not have a writing implement". Please, please, please sign the physical log to claim a smiley. Geocaching guidelines: logs that fail to meet the requirements can be deleted by the owner.
Physical caches can be logged online as "Found" once the physical log has been signed. Logs can be deleted by the owner of the log, by the geocache owner and by site administrators. Logs that fail to meet stated requirements (such as Found It logs by people who have never found the geocache)
Cheers
And happy hunting!

Fantastic information and was really looking forward to finding this one. Spent ages looking, with torch in all the possible places. Unfortunately no cockroaches to be found, obvious or not. Muggle with a dog playing nearby must have thought I was strange feeling up a tree although I hope he was more interested in throwing the frisbee to his dog than looking at me. Given previous DNFs and the long timeframe since the last find suspect that another brother or cousin may need to be deployed. Or it might be cache blindness. Worth a check.
Robmc and I returned today with torches and spent another 10 or so minutes searching. Still no luck here so will have to give up on this one.
Day Four of the WA road trip with BettyBoo3747. Today we spent the morning riding up the Linear Trail beside the Torrens, not sure if we could call it a river up here at this time of the year, but it was a nice ride. Up one side and back the other.
Not my favourite insect, and so it proved today - not sightings did we perceive.
In the early morning the sun made shadows dark, we should have brought a torch!
A DNF for us here today.
Thanks, Robmc.

We came, we searched and searched and left empty-handed. Figure we know what we are looking for so might come back with a torch tomorrow.
Wahoo. Visiting the area and some munzees nearby and what would you know there is also a cache here. Love it when that happens!! Thanks for the adventure.
This one took a little bit of searching around before it was finally found. Much easier to spot it without sunglasses on. Lots of cockies in the trees around here today.

We decided to visit this section of Linear Park as we have not yet walked here before. The fact that there are a few caches here now also helped This was our first find on a two-hour trip and probably the longest search of the day, too! TNLNSL TFTC
Had to check it wasnt alive no writing stick functional. Will find again for autograph tftc
tftc 3LG. Found this little sucker pretty quick. great camo, should be somewhat muggle resistant . tnsl
TFTC - Found on the way to the cricket @ the Adelaide oval (that was very disappointing)
PS Nice cammo.

We thought we had it but couldn't decide how it matched the hint. Will come back again to have another go.
Nice little place to curl up.

This is the best so far because I found it too!! It is very well camo-ed in the tree and when found still needed to poke with a stick to check. Deserves a fav. TFTC
