Today was a very early start with a drive to the airport for a 6 am flight to Cairns and day one of our North Queensland geocaching trip.Snickersallan and I were met at the airport by Grannysmith and Bluewattle. The bags were thrown into the car and we were off for a day of adventure. First off it was up to Kuranda, then across to Mareeba, down to Atherton and Millaa Millaa. It was then over to Innisfail before working our way back to Cairns, to arrive just in time for the night time event. It was nice to see a couple of locals turn up to the event, thank you. After the event we were not done for the day, we jumped in the car and headed off to grab a few more around town. This poor cache got a good visiting of cachers after the event. We signed the log, replaced all the way we found it and then continued on our way. Thanks for the hide and the placement.
Travelling around the local districts with geo friends for a few days and enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way whilst visiting some places for the very first time.Thank you, Wazza&Kara, for placing this good hide for our benefit and enjoyment.
Nach einer kurzen Suche an diesem sehr lauten Ort konnte ich den Cache finden. Thanks for the Cache!
We found what we think was the container, but couldn’t be sure. We reached out to the CO who has given us permission to log until they can check on it. Thanks for the series Wazza&Kara. TFTC
Quite a hard one to get to sagely i must say, especially in the rain. I think putting the hide on a feature that could be easier accessed from the plenty parking options nearby would have been much saver. But what do you do for a odd container type. Thanks for placing
It is great to be up north once more. Things fortunately aligned, allowing me to do this trip to enjoy the tropical north and find some targeted caches along the way. This time it is all about finding caches of different sizes, caches that would count towards different DT matrix challenges and caches that I had solved before or collected info for in previous trips. Despite Townsville and Cairns being just a few hours apart, it is always amazing how much thicker and greener the greenery here is. It’s really trying to elude the avid cacher. Thank you very much Wazza&Kara for creating this cache. It was fun finding it.

Another easy one, this time it was redxr6 who was the hunter. Greetings from the Sunshine Coast. Tftc
I was just casually on a run with my mum then I remember there was a geocache nearby. That was when I begged my mother to help me find it. It took a while to realise where it actually was. This was also my first geocache and I loved it. So thank you very much to the people who created this amazing worldwide scavenger hunt
Today we targeted the lone cache in Yarrabah LGA and picked up a couple of caches on the way back into town.
Thanks to CO’s for taking time to set out and maintain hides and for showing us your very special part of the world

Great Northern escape 2022 Day 27. Cairns section Day 11. The morning was dedicated to getting the car serviced. I did attempt one cache unsuccessfully while I was waiting and moving around on my scooter. After collecting the car I headed south to Gordonvale where I managed one of the caches on offer. Next was a trip to the bunker on Yarrabah peninsula. The remainder of the day was trying to get few more before heading home.
This last cache for the day was nice and simple, only speeding cars to worry about, not washed out tracks, trenches and killer ants
Thanks for the cache Wazza&Kara

Been meaning to get this one for awhile! After dodging the traffic it was safely in my hands TFTC
Thanks for hiding Wazza&Karra and for giving us the opportunity to explore. Good hide.
On a road trip heading north to Palm Cove. Stopping occasionally for the odd cache. This was a bit scary on a Saturday at midday. Met a new family of cachers here. Thanks Wazza&Kara for the cache.
We are back after travelling around Queensland for the last 4 months we are home for a while and to celebrate we are catching up on local caches and dropping tbs one for here, tyfc Wazza & Kara log signed.
Replaced the container and it has a new log. The new container is a little more obvious than the last so we'll see how it goes.
The cache appears to have gone AWOL ... no sign (dad joke) of it anywhere at GZ.
Funky little geocache celebrating a confusing (ex-FNQ girl here) but needed upgrade to the highway. This a quiet one to grab on a Sunday afternoon with my Geosisters. Parked near the Tav. Thanks for the caches.
Spied you ages ago but there were people in the beer garden...lucky quick break this arvo. TFTC
We just spent our holidays in QLD and visited this cache. Thanks to the hint and good coordinates, the hiding place could soon be found. [^]

First cache of the day and first cache in Cairns! Quick spotted and got it signed and returned same place! TFTC
Had a few dnfs in Cairns this weekend, so it was interesting to find 2 caches! On the one feature. Signed the white, fresh one CNQ, left the nano rolled up, took way to long to roll up the last one. The girls took one look at the description and storm clouds and headed for the shops, Mr CachedinNQ ducked out between the pulses of traffic, grabbed both of them, signed one and replaced both. Thanks again Wazza&Kara
Visited this hide while the spouse was shopping next door. No sign of the cache, so a new container was placed.
Today we left Cairns and headed back to Atherton to find the caches that we had not done since our last visit and this was one of them. At GZ we made a quick find.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Very impressive cache. Definitely not for kids but a nice little watering hole for adults to quench their thirst afterwards
While spending 16 months abroad, travelling through all states of Australia and also having a two months break in Thailand I did a lot of geocaching.
After many, many caches accompanied by the strong will not to write any standard logs, I ended up with more than 1000 finds, all waiting for an official log. After intense considerations and carefully weighing my options, you now receive this special limited edition numbered log.
This is my unique non-standard log #89.
Foud this one heading north.
Thanks a lot Waza&Kara for taking care of this cache, showing me this place and turning my travels into an adventure!
Greetings from Germany.
Keep on caching!

That’s roughly the route I travelled:
Germany – Sydney – Cairns – Cape Tribulation – Armidale – Sydney – Canberra– Melbourne – Tasmania – Melbourne – Boinka – Adelaide – Alice Springs – Darwin – Adelaide – Melbourne – Perth – Rottnest Island – Denmark – Perth – Melbourne – Thailand – Brisbane – Sydney – Adelaide – Boinka – Melbourne – Germany
---
And finally some statistics:
Days abroad: 55
Days of geocaching: 34
Geocaches abroad: 89
Geocache of the day: 1/4

We spent the afternoon with Speedmistress and Oz Dog doing a few caches close to where we are staying. This one took us a little bit of deciding which road we needed to use to get close to this one. With three different GPS units in the car all telling us slightly different things poor Dennis did extremely well to get us there in one piece. SL TFTC
3rd day in Cairns geocaching with Muff1. An excursion around some back roads and a short walk and we were in the correct place. I quick find, log signed and replaced and we were on our way. Thank you Wazza&Kara for this interesting adventure. SL TNLN TFTC.
