A great little hide. The 2nd place I looked The lid is completely gone now, but log is dry with heaps of room to put your scribble on. TFTCFind #92
I don't restart work again until the 8th of Jan. With free accommodation I decided a geocaching holiday in Auckland was a good way to spend this week off. Most of the week I geocached with Yvettetb but the beginning and end I was on my own. Yesterdays focus area was around the Orakei Basin area and Saint John's. Today it was going to be Titirangi but on spotting a new cache publication our plans changed and we headed straight to the Waitakeries. We had to change our route on the way back as part of Scenic Drive Road to the Arataki visitors Centre was closed to non residents. We ended up finishing our day caching in Glen Eden, New Lynn and Waterview. Yvettetb made short work of finding this cache. Thanks for hiding it here to give us another smile as we passed through the area
Great sneaky hide, don't know why I even checked here but thankfully I did. The cache lid has rusted off, so just sitting on rather than being attached. Our New Year caching trip in 2024 was in and around Auckland with Lis's Crew. Today we were planning on going in and around Titirangi however a FTF popped up this morning at the Cascades so we have made a detour on our travels. Thanks for bringing me here and TFGC. What a great way to spend a sunny summers day.
Kids tried to be stealthy they were surprised this one had been around longer than them. TFTC#124
First time in this neck of the woods. Visiting the sons flat. Guessed thered be a cache nearby and yep, this is it. Thought about the hint and checked a few spots then finally realised where it would probably be and bingo. Tftc
I like a good bus stop and this one was an even better bus stop because it had a cache in it Found it in unexpectedly the first place I looked! The lid is super rusty and fell off when I extracted it, but the log's nice and dry and there's plenty of space on it for now. Managed to replace it in between cars going past.Thank you for placing it here!(#1989)
Second cache for my morning walk before heading off for a look at the western bea he's with my hosts.
Found this bad boy as a quick PNG on our way back from lunch in titirangi. Didn’t have a pen but here’s a pic for proof. TFTC!
M24: a nice easy find here while out and about today collecting caches in the area. TFTC.
Nicely tucked away but not too sure the resident spider was happy to be dislodged! T F T C sam_smith
New year has been and gone and the temperature has cranked big-style with late-20s for the last several days. After being away for the main holidays the caching has been fairly sparse but with mrs c back to work today it gives me a week before I head back myself to the home office and prep for moving South. Thanks to all COs for their caches today.
Todays efforts were centred around Tititangi and the pipeline trail but also a few other targets as I passed by to/from. Even found my last 'local' Wherigo which takes me to 25 of this (fairly) rare cache type and a 'badge upgrade' on Project GC.

Took 1 minute to find. Had my partner with me today showing him some geocaching and getting our hunt on
As we approached GZ we wondered why the area seemed familiar and then we realised a friend of ours used to live in Savoy Road years ago and we used to visit here all the time.
We quickly located the cache and then headed over to look at his old house.
Thanks sam_smith for an unexpected trip down memory lane.

Found it between showers during my 8`th caching anniversary day. Got it at the first spot I`ve checked. Good to see original log in such a good shape. T4TC
First find under Level 2, took 2 goes to locate it though! Great little hide. Everything in good condition. TFTC
I was meeting up with TheWonderStuff this morning out West so I headed out early to add a few more gemstones to my collection. Happened to be passing by so stopped and made my way to GZ. Nice and quiet at GZ. Found the cache in the first place I looked.

This is my second one in New Zeeland. I visited New Zeeland in 2006 but I didn't know about geocaching then. Loggad as SWEx4, four geocachers from Sweden, Nogana, ursus67, Pidjas and myself.
My sister introduced me to this and took me to the closest spot she didn’t tell me where it was hidden so I had to find it for myself but I had the clue, and I found it and was really excited and shit. TFTC
Came past here Saturday afternoon, nice quick find before heading off to the next cache, TFTC
Found in the last one of the hint items. Waiting for my curry after playing football
After doing a couple of nearby caches we popped by here to look for this one to see if we could find it. Bus stop hides often give us trouble as there are so many potential hidey holes. Once again, we had to give every spot more than one checking as it was well hidden. For this one, Mrs Tuolei double checked a spot that Mr Tuolei had already checked and was more dexterous at retrieving the cache. All good here and thanks for the cache.
A nice quick park and grab. Luckily the school passengers had all moved on and bus stop was vacant. Had a seat and found the likely spot straight away. TFTC
Have meant to do this one for a while as we pass it daily. Quick find for junior cacher.
#32645 The family are up in Auckland visiting our relatives over New Year. The plan today was to head out to the beach but there was no movement observed in the bedrooms at 8am so I had time to head out and do a few local caches. This was the last find before heading back to where we are staying. There are a surprising number of places where I have found caches hidden in bus shelters. I tried out all the usual suspects. Then checked the hint and soon had the cache in hand. Signed the log nearby and slipped it back while no cars were going past. Thanks for the cache.
Found quickly after first checking a few other spots that I've seen geocaches in before. As I was replacing it, a muggle carrying shopping bags appeared out of nowhere and eyed me for a while. I went back to my car and waited until he was gone to ensure he wasn't going to investigate what I was doing. Didn't help that the police helicopter was circling at the time... TFTC
Couldn't get this one last time we passed by as a muggle was sitting here. All clear today so sat down and pondered the possible locations. Geoboy felt around and soon had it in his hand. TFTC
Required stealth to get cache in hand. A council worker was digging right next to GZ. When he retired to his van a quick grab was made. It was then necessary to wait until he refocused his task in hand before it could be replaced. TFTC

Saturday evening - all is quiet, no people and only some cars passing by.
And what a spectacular sunset over the Waitakere Ranges can be seen form here!
Thanks for the cache!

Thanks! Dropped here on the way back from my in-laws who live in Titirangi. Nice quick find with minimal muggle traffic.
First cache of the day and I found it the first place I looked. Great to start my day with this one. TFTC.
After some involved caches over the last couple of days this easy find was a breath of fresh air just what was required.
#338 Tonight was nice dark and not to much traffic for me to have a look for this one. A few false alarms but finally found it. Nice little hide.

Had a few moments to kill waiting for the train.
Quick trip down the road. Easy find and sign.
And made it back with time to spare.

Was in the area for work, and had a few minutes to spare, so out caching I went.

A quick stop here while out for a days caching with YK83. All was quiet at the bus stop and I was able to make a quick find of the cache. TFTC!
Heading home from a sneaky lunch stop up the road and decided I'd make a grab for this cache. Parked nearby and wandered over for a nice quick find. Nicely done, TFTC
A quick stop on the way to the shops.

When I started my short walk to find some containers it was sunny. Only 15 minutes later I was completely wet again. I won't miss the winter weather.. but anyway... Thanks for my last find here in town. TFTC
Another dot day, another day I almost forgot about it. Got home remembered I didn't have a cache for today so a quick search showed this is the closest trad I haven't found yet. Quick change of clothes and out of the door again, quick drive to location and quick find in between dog walking muggles and quick drive home again. Nice 20 minutes out of the house, couldn't have asked for better.
Thanks or the cache

Was out West getting some new tyres for the car, so did a little detour to get this. A bus had just driven past, so I was able to start searching without muggles. Found in the second place I looked. TFTC
I guessed the cache might be where it was, but I had to wait several minutes for runners, walkers to head on by before I could check, sure enough there it was.
Quick find on the way past. Sat in the bus stop to get out of the rain and then some muggles turned up so had to wait until they got on the bus before I coudl put the cache back. TFTC
Having failed to find the targetted cache tonight, we had to locate a nearby easy find. Bus Stop Scott totally filled the bill and kept our daily streak going. Thanks.
Enjoyed a yummy brekkie whilst in the area then stopped by for a quickish find, TFTC.
I decided today to heed the old saying "Go West, young man, Go West." Well, I'm not that young nowadays but anyway I still went. Waited for a K9 and his muggle owner to pass on by.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Nice and easy start thanks for our afternoon of Glen Eden and Green Bay caches ! Thanks Sam !
Last cache for the evening. Parked close by and was able to put my hand on the cache in the first spot I checked. TFTC, Biggles.
