Border hopping weekend day #2:

Collecting some caches across South Australia, New South Wales and Victoria inbetween the 20 years of Geocaching celebration events in Berri, Wentworth and Irymple consecutively.

I started caching in 2020... so if these events had been then I wouldn't have gone. So I'm glad to be here for the journey.

I can only stay the weekend due to work, one night in Berri and one in Mildura. So I'm doing as many caches as I can inbetween events... so many caches and so little time.

After my DNF on my last visit, a few finds popped up and after reading the logs I narrowed it down and found the cache almost immediately.

Cache retrieved and signed with stamp.

99 total finds for the trip. 42 traditionals, 2 multis, 7 mysteries, 3 virtuals, 2 letter boxes, 1 EarthCache, 3 community celebration events, 1 event and 1 CITO. As well as 37 Adventure Lab locations.

Thanks TheVersteegs for this cache.

This cache brings Goldy's total find count to 1515.

When we didn't find the cache at GZ we widened our search area and finally found the cache 14m from the published coordinates. The cache and contents were in reasonable condition. We are not sure if there has been cache creep or if the published coordinates are incorrect. We found the cache at S34 14 131 E142 11.436. Thanks for the cache.

My last day here in Mildura! After saying goodbye to all of my caching mates - Snap Happy, omegaman1971, Happy Feet, Happy Pants and Rebel Acts, it was time to start to make my way home. Buuuut there are a few more caches to find in town before I head off. I also needed some snacks for the drive! A quick find here. Thanks for the cache TheVersteegs.

Exactly as described in hints. Finds like this help our confidence as we are still amateurs.

Tftc. Going to the wrong side and wonky GPS signals nearly created a dnf. Fortunately, we found it and added our stamp of approval!

09-Dec-20
Found on a trip from Adelaide to the Mildura area for a few days of caching with Team Waldron, Brisal5 and FeatherWaite. Our main targets were the Paddle Steamer and Turtle geoart series' but we also took the opportunity to seek out a few other caches along the way.

We were fortunate with the weather. After a burst of very hot days, we timed our trip nicely to coincide with the milder conditions before the next hot spell. That helped to make both the caching and the camping along the Murray River and in the Murray-Sunset National Park very pleasant.

We ended up finding all the caches that we had targeted. Most were in good order. Some of the puzzles were quite challenging and there were some very novel and entertaining multi's. Some certainly took a bit of finding and there were many very clever and/or tricky caches and containers that were a credit to the cache owners’ ingenuity.

It would have been good to have had another day or two to complete the remaining caches in the area, but I’m sure we’ll be back.

Thanks to all the cache owners for the hides.

Over from SA for 4 days of caching with Egregory1, Featherwaite and Brisal5.

We came primarily to do the Paddlesteamer series but picked up orthers as we drove around.

Apologies for the generis logs.

All caches we found were in good order.

Thanks to all cache owners whose caches we found.

***Generic Log unless something special above this line.***

I have seen a T shirt with Sleep Eat Cache Repeat [^] Well a four day trip to Mildura with caching friends Team Waldron, E.gregory and FeatherWaite certainly fit that bill. Razz Logs were signed with initials only for the teams - BEFW

Up at daybreak, quick breakfast and cache all day stopping only to have a snack whilst out on the trails, rush to set up camp near dusk for a meal, then perhaps some night caching, early night and REPEAT! Big Grin

Strategic camping at Kings Billabong, Rocket lake and The Common meant we were close by the Geoart and target night caches. Cool Two previous trips in 2013 and 2016 by me and some by E.gregory meant we visited some (well quite a few actually) previous finds but that made it quick for the people that hadn't found them previously. Wink

I can't thank the CO's of these caches enough as some were really very inventive. Even having solved most puzzles before we came we were confronted with field puzzles and gadgets that were just mind boggling. [:X][:X][:X]

***Thanks TheVersteegs for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Big Grin

Found during a trip from Adelaide to the Mildura area for a few days of caching with Brisal5, e.gregory1 and Team Waldron with the main aim to complete the Paddle Steamer and Turtle GeoArt series but also to find other caches along the way. We camped out on the banks of the Murray River near Mildura on the first night, at Rocket Lake campground in the Murray-Sunset National Park on the second night, then back to the banks of the Murray River near Merbein on the last night. We signed the logs as B.E.F.W. Thanks to all the cache owners for placing the cache!

Great find!! Took us a little while at first but when you’re looking in the right place.
Definitely agree with others that the container is quite worn out but some good fun to find

Easy find, cute container

24-Oct-20
Well we came back today with our tail between our legs.
Doesn’t matter how many caches we have found we can still be wrong.
When someone found it after our DNF, yesterday, we thought, no way, so we are happy to say that despite the farmer clearing his frontage behind these trees, that the cache was easily and quickly located today and does really exist.
Our problem yesterday was that we approached from behind, it was raining and we were tired and not focused on the job of our last cache for the day at about 8pm.
So after all that TFTC

There has been a lot of fresh farmworks/clearing and slashing between the trees and the first posts of the vineyard....we think this one has been cleaned up and disposed of.
Maybe CO confirmation of this is required please.

Easy to find. Be careful near the road
