Today was my final day in the south-east, before geocaching back to Adelaide. After a cave dive in Pines Cave, it was on to the geocaching festivities, with an expedited pack up and drive to the Ashlar CITO that was just happening around the corner. I then met the group at a close D/T 5.0/5.0 geocache to see group ingenuity sign the cache. It was then a visit to some cave geocaches, and collecting a few more Millicent smilies. I detoured then north through Furner, and collected a large cluster of caches spread around the back roads. I was soon having enough doing random rural geocaches solo, so made my way back to the highway, and started making headway towards home. I made sure to stop off at an oldie geocache that I had eyed many times driving along this road, which was a few kilometres towards Lucindale, before passing through Kingston SE and onwards to home. It was a day of variety and clearing some more geocaches around 2020's mega destination.

I decided to swing past this archived cache, thinking that it may still be in situ since it was archived with finds. After a bit of scrambling around the place and using FelixII's coordinates, I made the find. The cache was still here and not in bad condition. Thanks tamara212 for the cache placement.

I am archiving the listing for the time being. Should the owner decide to maintain the cache in the near future (next 30 days), just contact me (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, I'll be happy to unarchive it.

Found this cache with clare007 and hevwalker on an expedition to the south east! We had perfect weather on our trip …. Picking up some great Traditionals, multis and puzzles and a number of earthcaches. We also attended the Aussie Outback Event in Mount Gambier and local teams TT016 and Spanner111 took us on a nightcaching run!
Using the co ordinates from a previous finder we found the prize. Its there .... and in good condition. It needs to be "re enabled" before it is archived.

Didn't realise this was disabled until searching the logs for the possible location and found the better co-ords.
The cache is definitely there and the new co-ords are spot on.
Interesting construct of a bridge...

Day two of my holidays, heading to the Yorke and Eyre Peninsulas in SA. With a predicted top of an unusual 41° C, I chose to head to the coast for hopefully cooler temperatures. As it turned out, it wasn't much cooler, but a more scenic route. I followed the GPS and checked all likely spots nearby. No Luck. A check of previous logs indicated an alternate set of co-ordinates, and this led me to the cache.

My thanks to tamara212 for the cache and FelixII for the new co-ordinates.

Free camping in Kingston, today we set off to explore the local surrounds. This cache has numerous logs saying co-ords are out but noboday has posted any new ones. So here they are. S36 50.494 E139 52.376 Hopefully the CO can now change the co-ords.

The wind was starting to pick up in anticipation of the cold front crossing at night. After about 5 caches Mrs Felix called it quits with a head cold.

Mr Felix kept on caching on though and even bumped into KingsQuad and Groovygranny47.

Busy day here in Kingston this weekend.
