That is frustratingly tricky. Drove off and found a couple of other caches and thought we'd have one last crack on way back. Well done. Found with Secret7(P).
Found the cache a sodden mess. I have taken the liberty to replace the log book and to replace/upgrade the baggies protecting said log book.
Cache is now dry and in good condition
Thanks

TFTC spent the Easter long weekend camping at Girraween NP, hiking and geocaching. Love discovery local history - thanks!
Well, this cache certainly isn't what we thought. Talk about thinking outside the box! Although, with the sheer amount of time we spent on red herrings, perhaps you could up the Difficulty rating on this cache to a 2?

Must admit i'm not very good with finding these types of hides. Thankfully i was given a few hints from other people which made it a bit easier. Cache was a bit wet, but able to be signed still. Thanks for showing me this area.
TFTC looked with the Rooster for about 30 mins. Upon ready logs, a comment left by a person of indeterminate age, I swore, walked straight to it and picked it out within 5 secs. Excellent job.

Today we did some post Mega caching finding 83 and 2 DNFs caches. Our aim today was to try and finish the caches on the eastern side of Stanthorpe to Tenterfield and return. We enjoyed the journey that the cache locations took us to.
We appreciate the time and effort gone into placing and maintaining these caches for our enjoyment.

On a geocaching trip with tmann421 with the focus being the MEGA at Stanthorpe. A fantastic trip away seeing a part of the country I had not been to before, collecting caches along the way. Stamped the logs with t&J or our names. Thanks to all the CO's for making this such a memorable trip.

Many thanks to all responsible for a smooth operating event, my first Mega, and first visit to Stanthorpe. Plenty of reasons for a near future visit
Whilest it did rain and drizzle almost every day, I much preferred this over hot days, which is what I encounted on the Gold Coast return journey, as well as a repeated bout of coughing with the flu on the long drive home.

Another perfect Autumn day for caching with lgoody and The Green Geckos.
Another morning of caches on the GBB Trail and nearby.

Travelling around Australia in our Caravan with our cat.
Arriving in Stanthorpe yesterday to cache and check the location out in advance of the Mega.
The town looks very inviting and everyone has been friendly.
Decided to head south today and work our way back towards Stanthorpe. Managed 35finds on a leisurely day.
We found this cache but had to empty out over 100ml of water from the logbook. Were able to sign with our powertank pen but others would be unlikely to do so.

Looking forward to meeting other geocachers at the next Australian Geocaching Mega event

Day 67 of my trip to Brisbane.
Today is a semi-fun day. After the last couple of weeks of intensive sorting of ju.., er, collectibles at Mum's place, moving, and cleaning, I'm in Stanthorpe, staying for a week, on my leisurely way home out of the heat and humidity of Brisbane. I had a good sleep, and have nothing to do today except take the GeoSchnauzers for a haircut, collect their dog food, and enjoy myself. I haven't escaped the humidity after all - it's raining quite heavily, so today is a GeoSchnauzer-less park and grab day. After adventures with GPS and relying on my memory of same, I've finally dropped off the dogs, after first getting on the wrong side of Storm King Dam. Anyway, I've got my trusty umbrella, and I'm off.
No 21 of 23 today. Thanks, TeamPaulsen. Excellent!! Have a favorite point!!!

Out today for a drive and did stop here for a hunt. Gps had us looking at long grass. Cruised around obvious spots with no luck. Considering where we were traffic was frequent and we did look dodgy so logged a dog in case it has gone astray.
Obvious spot full of gravel from recent rains. PAF confirmed spot....unable to spot cache
This was very sneaky! We resorted to reading LOTS of past logs and eventually read something that gave us a good hint. TFTC.
Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
We headed out to Stanthorpe for the weekend, and headed off nice and early today, starting off the weekend a day early We managed to grab 23 for the day, and as always, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip out this weekend This one was next up on the list today, so we pulled up close by, and made the find quickly We added our names to the logbook, and headed off to the next one [^] Another one in the area ticked off the list

[font=Comic Sans MS]Hi there TeamPaulsen. We found your cache "By The Gate" at 1:58:00 PM today.
This was our 9th cache find in a caching run of 10 Finds & 0 DNFs today. (So this now makes our find count 9400.)
[Blue]
Todays cache run was down to Tenterfield, primarily to log some geocaches but also to charge the second battery in the Jeep before the on board freezer started to thaw out.
This cache deserves a favourite point for ingenuity.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent. (We found the cache around 7m from where the GPS said we should be looking.)
Cache Condition: Container was full of water. The log book is in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards

Nice old gate from days gone by. A good thing MrG wasn't so preoccupied with the gate or we'd have never found the cache. Nice one TeamPaulsen, TFTC.
Well, although there was a sign saying the area was under surveillance I couldn't see any cameras anywhere. Nevertheless, I could see what became the cache and signed the log with relief. I had been ready for a lengthy search but found it quickly. Thanks for bringing us down this road by placing the cache here TeamPaulsen. We hadn't been down this road before. [^][^]
From reading prior logs, I had an idea of what to expect. My idea turned out to be correct, so I found this cache quite easily. Read the logs first, and you’ll likely have a quick find as befits the D1 rating. Thanks for the novel hide TeamPaulsen
Second day of the trip North to the Xmas in July in Stanthorpe, Qld to meet old friends and to greet new ones and generally have a ball and of course the chance to discover some caches along the way and visit some interesting places. Great cache. TFTC
We arrived not knowing what to find and when we searched we found nothing. Thought about this for a minute and the had a light bulb moment and found it. A great cache and will give it a favourite. Thanks TeamPaulsen
This one was very tricky. Took us a while to realise what it was. Probably needs a hint or higher level difficulty. Tftc
Ill drink to this one very devious. Took a while to see the obviousWell done Thanks
Found but unable to sign the log as it is soaked. I think this hide might benefit from a little work, might I make a couple of suggestions. The outer container has some sharp edges so this might be a problem, especially for little cachers. The inner container is designed with holes in the lid, so of course this is less than ideal for keeping the log dry. TFTC.
Found this one after a period of time but was unable to sign log as it was very wet. TFTC.
Looked straight at it and dismissed it. Very clever. Love this game. Take nothing for granted.
This should of been a quick find -only one star-unfortunately we spend about 30minutes here before coming up with the prize .

Decided to go find a few caches late this afternoon. loaded the geopuppies and away we went the rain was lingering but soon stopped as we approached GZ. opps a car was coming so a quick dart back to the ute to get a pen and all was good. I saw the cache quickly and with some difficulty got the log out for signing. not too sure what the stick and fishing line was all about but we left it in the cache. returned to its resting place we took off for the next cache a bit further down the road

A quiet day today with a visit to friends in Texas on the agenda and hoping to pick up a few caches on the way just to keep the numbers ticking over. Thanks to TeamPaulsen for hiding this cache.
A great combination of hides kept us entertained as we cached around the Stanthorpe area. We found this one on our return visit - cleverly done and gets a fav. A big thanks to TeamPaulsen
Took some time to find and I had to PAF to help as the iPhone was taking me into the open grass area. TFTC great hide.
I have a caching plan in place for my holidays that commence on the 10th March but after having re evaluated the total driving time and distance to be travelled in 5 days I thought it wise to take this leg off that plan and come down now for a couple of days as I am on 4 rostered days off. Left home in Nanango at 0330 and finished Breakfast at the robins Nest at 0930. Now to cache from here to the border and come back to Stanthorpe and have the afternoon off.
Arrived at GZ and the gizmo had me in the middle of a very grassy area. Started my search and eventually found the very cunning outer container at 1215. Took me twenty minutes using the process of elimination method and walking in bigger and bigger circles and also using the GRID method. I had this one approximately 10m out. I do not drink this substance but after this search thought who ever did should clean up their rubbish. Signed log YOF as this is what I use on this size log. TFTC TeamPaulsen.
