Logs
As per the last logs, found the likely spot but no luck, looked under every rock found a big weta but that was all.
On a weekend camp with Tawa Scouts, took short walk on the Sunday morning and found a few caches.
Bonus bush walk returning from camping in the Wairarapa. Junior tried to retrieve but arms not long enough, luckily mine are! Nice hide.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Love walking around these bush walks. Ant this tree is awesome. Love my trees. Got this one snagged and tagged. Cheers Fav from me
Plans for today have changed so Im free to wander. Contacted The Seagnoid to see whats up. So its Kaitoke for a walk and man its hot. The tree shade helped some. A great afternoon.

Interesting that there are two DNFs here - ah! This cache! The dragon found the cache out in the open, 6m away from GZ, over there, amongst the supplejack. We returned it according to GPS and hint.
Man, it's hot. The forecast said 24 degrees, but I think 28 degrees is more like. So when Taybeedragon said we should go geocaching for the afternoon I looked for somewhere shady. Rivendell! A lot of others thought the same - there where heaps of people swimming in the river, loads of people walking the tracks. Not surprising - it is a seriously beautiful place here.

Found with aeshna_UK.
Fifth find on our visit to Rivendell. Had to check a few more candidates this time but not too hard in the end. TFTC!

Magnificent adventures in deep and dark caves with feral beasties. What a lovely peaceful place. Found with Piwaka54. Thanks for the cache
That was seriously hid in the rocks! Log in quite bad condition, signed on the spare piece of paper. TFTC
This leprechaun certainly gets around. This time he didn’t elude us, and we found his hidey-hole. Looks like the last people to sign this were muggles. Found with Dragonapril (now HidingDragon)
The second cache on our first walk around Kaitoke, absolutely lovely walk and a picnic at the end. TFTC
Walked past it the first time and went thats an awesome for a cache low and behold a magic spot
A brief wait for muggles, this is a popular track for a wet morning. Cache safe tucked away as expected. TFTC
The Marmite is not really black anymore! Please hide the log better than we found it... Thanks!
(# 5720). A trip to Kaitoke Regional Park primarily to get one leg of the LoR adventure lab. While here I decided to grab the caches on this loop track. A quick find. Everything in order. TFTC
Found this while going for a walk with mum. It was a beautiful day and the I went for a swim in the river.
I wasn't a fan of this one, so I let miss 5 get it. It was a great day for a walk. Bonus, the river was clean enough to swim in.
Couldn't find this today. Too many people around, but checking inbetween them passing in what looked like the "cave", didn't have anything in it or under the rocks around it. FYI - Plenty of large spiders call this cave home.
Came up here with BFG to check on one of my caches & went for a walk afterwards. How on earth did I miss that one last time? TFTC
Infoferret spotted the hide while me & the GPSr were planning another 15 m… but it settled down to a closer figure. TFTC wb1116!
Found it on a amazing place, Sorry for the fotolog I forgot my pen. Thank you for showing and the cache. Greetings from Germany!
Found with jgirl1880 whilst walking the loop for the first time. Beautiful walk, would definitely come back!
Camping at Kaitoke so a good opportunity to grab a few of the caches that have sprung up since I was here last.

Out for the day with Bkj97 and Little Blue Hen we travelled over the Akatawarawa Road to Upper Hutt. Then we went to the Kaitoke Regional Park and found some fantastic caches. A lovely hot day so thankful for the shade of the beautiful trees. All caches found easily, stamped and returned as found. TFTC
[#4356] While driving from Feilding towards Lower Hutt we stopped at some interesting locations and searched for any nearby caches like this one. All sites were really worthwile visiting and the caches made our visit even more enjoyable. Especially the Kaitoke Regional Park with former LotR movie location Rivendell, the swingbridge and rain forest were attractive. Along the way we also found a reverse wherigo. Thanks to all cache owners.

My three sons, my wife and I found this cache along with our friend Kyb3r while enjoying Wellington’s Mega weekend. We were aiming for eleven geocache types in a day and so came out here for a nearby event. However when we saw it was where Rivendale was filmed for the LOTR and that there was a kiwi guardians plaque here we decided to walk the loop before leaving.
No issues here.

Out on a eleven cache types in one day mission with iammrwalker and family.
This loop was incredible, such beautiful scenery and so close to home. iammrwalker sent one of the little ones in to retrieve and replace.

Found it yesterday but my phone died just as I found it. It was quite a way in... I almost couldn't reach it.. left it in the same area under the rocks but not as far in as it had been. Love the cache. Just gotta be on the right side of tree (not doing the track backwards )
We spotted the cache pretty quickly, but retrieving it was the challenge in our case. Not sure if the cache was in its normal place or not, but we found it deeper in a hole than we had nerves for. It reminded me of a particular scene in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom! Not brave enough to put my whole arm in, so resorted to using a pair of locally sourced sticks to try retrieve it. Glad we visited early in the morning when noone else was around, as we spend a fair amount of time at this one. Anyway, got it in the end! Returned as found, and left a shiny gold coin for the Leprechaun
