Big day today. Up early in Forth and ready for Parkrun. Trying to do all the mainland Tassie Parkruns so off to Wynyard to tackle theirs with 4 stretches on the beach. After PR we went for Brekkie at the Vault, cool place with great coffee and produce but not very imaginative in the breakfast stakes. Filled us up anyway. We then cached our way back to Forth. I did have a couple of dnf that were just too good for me, sadly too far to come back for as our time in Tassie comes to an end.We had forgotten how beautiful the coast is along here, amazing and once again lucky with more excellent weather. We had a long but rewarding day out. Thanks to all the CO for placing and maintaining caches for us to find. We found some great hides today. This one took way longer than it should have to locate. I am terrible with troll hides . TFTC
My first cache find!Needs a new log. Thanks for the great cache. Never new the creek has crayfish.
Tasmania Trip Day 5. Having cached around Burnie yesterday and one county further west, it was time to go a bit further. With Stanley on the horizon I set out and began to visit caches I could along the way, including a few I did not get to yesterday. This part of Tasmania seems to have lots of people visiting each of the interesting spots, so I tried to keep out of the way and get my caching done. As expected, Stanley was the highlight of the day. I managed to do the Labs there, but decided not to head up the nut on foot for the old cache. It will have to wait for another trip. The day was a bit longer than yesterday and I only just got back for a late dinner at the evening set in at Burnie. This area was just up he road from where I was staying, so I decided to go and take a look before getting going. It was found ok, and wow is it a devilishly well blended in cache. Thanks for the cache Pc geek45862.1 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2006 Stars #2 - Aquilla A#50**Albida**
In Tassie for the next few months. So many great places to visit and so many different caches to find.Heading from Warrath to Burnie today where I am enjoying driving through this area and grabbing a few along the way. An easy enough find at GZ.Thanks Pc geek for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
Took a while but found eventually. Log is damp and not good condition. Container itself is ok. TFTC
Out and about caching on the north west coast and stopped to find this cache. TFTC
out and about with Lil Rafa of to a play at Burnie and caching on the way. TFTC TNLN log dry
Thanks for the cache Pc geek.
Visiting Burnie with RLD4963 and the two GeoGSP's to watch a friend's play. Today was for geocaching. This took a while to find - eventually had to go through some old logs to find some kind of hint and that narrowed down what we were looking for....eventually got there.

We Had a good search after work and managed to come up with the goods this time! we get to change this from a sad face to a smile!
Thanks for the find.
Thanks for the find.
Had a good search for this one, I’ve checked old logs seen it’s glass and gets hidden under grass and weeds a lot but no luck today
Very cool cache that we diverted to upper Burnie to find

3 days off from work, and Geo Kid O joined me on a journey to Stanley and then down along the western explorer road towards Corinna. We have a great time finding a number of caches and driving a road I had not travelled on before.
The Western Explorer road was closed for a while and recently had been reopened with a new bridge near Balfour. Some very interesting sights along the way, with part of the road feeling more like a forest track, and other parts felt like a place where no one else has gone in the past, other than on the road. The open button grass plains were amazing along with the mountain views.
We stayed in Stanely, and the caches in and around Stanely were very good, including one walk to the top of the Nut. Gee that is a steep 400 metre walk.
Thank you for the cache which was part of our journey

Its all systems go for a full day of caching, including this one and others in the Burnie area. Had to burrow a bit for this one ourselves ! We noticed the brush cutters had been in the vicinity, so I hope they didn't decapitate too many burrowing crayfish tubes. TFTC Pc geek
Found but log book was completely unusable. Only had a strip of paper to sign on. TFTC!!
Found this morning, reasonably quick find but the log need replacing due to the dampness. TFTC
Found this cash with Angus 88 it’s in a dreadful condition and probably a glass container is not a good idea definitely needs replacing thank you
Hidden under weeds, but eventually found it. The glass container is wet & needs replacing.

Thanks for the cache Pc geek,
Luckily this was a nice quick find, and our first one for the day.
Cheers, EPs.
Found with AlbyDangles on Day Two of the 'Bust' leg of our "Kempsey Or Bust" tour; as Covid-19 cancelled the Kempsey Mega event this weekend. Headed to Burnie today to stare at stairs, and coffee with relos; so found a few caches afterwards.

Log book bit scrappy and average
Today was my last day in tassie for the time being, unknown when the next return will be but I assume it will be soonish. With some time to kill between lunch and the spirit of Tasmania departing. I decided I would head to burnie for an event and collect some caches along the way.
Overall 26 finds for the afternoon.
Thanks for the cache.

I'm having problems with my less than accurate smartphone gps (have recalibrated several times). It had me here, it had me there. Ended up going with geosenses for the easy find. Log sheet damp and fragile. Signed with date and initials. This used to be our playground as kids. The dam is so civilised now! TFTC
Gave myself a headache from staring at an assignment all day. In Burnie for a few days and have not grabbed half as many caches as I would have liked. This one seemed like one of the easiest near me to get to that I won’t be able to grab tomorrow. Decided to go for a nice evening run to grab this and another nearby. 6km run all up and awesome sunset. Thanks for the cache!
Tassie Trip 23 - Today was a suitable day for a drive around and see some sights and check the roads for a trip later on with the big box behind and the suitability of the road. It was decided that a trip to Waratah to check out a possible camp location.
The Last stop for the day we arrived and conducted a thougher search and came up with nothing so extended the search but alas the last stop of the day was a DNF.
Thanks Pc geek for bring us here and showing us the interesting location.
