Stopped by to do some maintenance but I see the black pixel is no longer what it was, a nice cube of black. It has collapsed and is now more of a sprawl of black. No longer worthy so is archived. The cache has been removed.
Solved this ages ago and have visited GZ once but the wet conditions and multiples places put me off. Having seen that it was found last weekend thought I would have another go. Pretty wet place to be poking about in winter but once my hands were muddy thought I better make sure I found it. Blindly searching so happy to finally feel it. The cache contained 3 logs. 2 were sodden and couldn’t be opened without destroying them. The other was nice and dry and left by Yeetree I believe. Interesting as he hasn’t logged it but I’m told he’s months behind. Now off to wash my hands. Thanks Seagnoid for the smiley. Cache could do with some TLC.
Rather a nice puzzle that definitely took a bit of time (but we all had that last year) to sort out. Also took a bit of time to locate the cache. As noted a bit wet to clearly annotate. Thanks for this cache.
Nice puzzle. We were slow to find the cache at GZ. Circled around it for a bit, almost got burnt out but managed to find. Log too wet to sign, will probably need replacing. TFTC!
Need three caches today for my personal challenge and to access the lock to the vault to return the stolen jewels to Mystery at the Museum. Thanks the Seagnoid for this puzzle cache.
On the way back to town now, but when I realised how close I was passing to this one, I couldn't ignore it! The first access point I saw was closed for maintenance, but fortunately I managed to find another access point, and I headed along the path towards the area, hoping that the light would last long enough for me to find it! The general area was fine, but you want me to go where? There? What...? How on earth? Oh so that's what the hint means, clever!! Tftc.
This is a very clever and well thought out cache.... while it did take awhile and lots of squinting and imagination finally I achieved in the end.. today was go get the treasure once again no easy feat...I was tired in the but successful... thanks the Seagnoid well done
This puzzle entailed sheets and sheets of paper followed by lots of painstaking colouring in. Then macwatt leaned over my shoulder and read out the coordinates just like that- best seen from afar, or on a big screen? Today we had an hour of time to pick up caches, but this one took up more of my time than neccessary. Not k I wing the lay of the land I followed a path or two then realised there was a short cut. My footwear was totally inadequate also. Sturdy shoes certainly helps. The hint item appeared after a bit of blind looking. Then the search began. In the end not too hard but challenging enough to go around twice. Thanks for the puzzle and cache the Seagnoid
I've been coming up to Palmy on a regular basis for a while now, but I've not really spent much time looking for caches on the south side of the river, so I figured I would do something about that this weekend.
I wasn't sure how busy this area would be on a Saturday morning, but it was pretty much free of Muggles so I was able to have a free reign in searching for caches. I'm going to be open and admit that I haven't yet fully solved this one. I started it what seems like an age ago, and then put it down after spending a couple of hours on it. Not because I couldn't solve it, but simply due to the time it was taking me to solve it manually. I'm sure there is probably a much quicker way to do this, but I don't know of it. I actually quite like to solve puzzles from first principals, but there are times when letting someone else do the hard programming work appeals lol!
So how did I know where it was? About 6 months ago I happened to be walking with a friend who was doing a maintenance run on this cache so saw where it was. I had resisted temptation to log it until today as I wanted to have another go at solving it, but life has a tendency to throw up a few curve balls and so I haven't yet knuckled down to the task. But I found myself driving past this one, and having had 4 DNF's this morning I was in a more belligerent mood and needed a pick me up.
As it turns out, the cache seems to have suffered a bit from water ingress. The logbook is completely soaked, and I couldn't prise the pages apart without them tearing. So I took a photo of the logbook (attached) and then went back to the car to grab a spare logbook and a new plastic bag for the cache. I replaced the cache where found, only slightly higher off the ground - maybe 6 inches - in the hope that the container will be subjected to less rainfall.
So my apologies for not finishing my solution, but those long winter nights will soon be with us again, and there's bugger-all worth watching on the box these days lol. Thanks for giving my brain a bit of a workout.

Just about pixeled out on this and then the colours made sense another challenging puzzle thanks Seagnoid TFTC
Down for the GIFF Event so did the rounds of some of our completed puzzles. Thanks to Phronimos for developing our computer knowledge to enable us to reach GZ, even if it seemed an unlikely place on arrival. A faint geotrail with a few shortcuts and a possible hint item soon had us locating the cache. Tftc and a favourite.
Down for the day from New Plymouth to attend the 2018 GIFF Film Event. After the event we popped out here to a couple of solved puzzle caches. I specifically wanted to get this cache to contribute to my Lonely Cache Challenge. It’s quite amazing it’s been 650 days between finds! TFTC and the clever puzzle. Enjoyed both.
This was a real combined effort. Son, with his computer knowledge, helped Possum solve the puzzle - actually son did it mostly himself. While walking along the track Possum said it is down there and down we went. With two GPSs plus a bit of scrambling around we zeroed in on GZ and daughter-in-law spotted something rather odd which matched the hint. Cleo soon had the cache in hand. Granddaughter in the font pack thought it was a great adventure. Much speculation about how the cache was set up. Definitely worth a favourite.
Found while out for a walk with daughter Stardust718 and grandchildren. This is a nice walkway. Thanks
Spending our last day in Palmerston North finding as many of our solved puzzles as possible, including a few field puzzles and just a couple of trads.
We enjoyed solving this puzzle. We had no trouble figuring out what to do, and liked the way we needed to solve the whole puzzle before the coords revealed themselves. Today, being unfamiliar with the local area, we had a bit of difficulty finding the best point of access. We tried one or two places before settling on a fairly direct route. As we approached we kept an eye on the 'distance to cache' numbers, wondering if we really needed to be on the other side. But all was well, and we soon came across an odd sight that was clearly what we had come to find. Before we had even circled it once, one of us spied the cache. Loved the puzzle and the final location - nicely themed - giving this one a Favourite point.

I solved this puzzle many many months ago but never got around to searching the final for the cache. Now I'm down to very few caches in the immediate vicinity to continue my one a day streak, so this was decided to be today's cache.
Walked down to the GZ and the phone had me bouncing around various trees. Forded the small stream at one stage so ended up with wet feet and then back again as when I turned around I spotted what could only be the host object. The host is so perfect for this puzzle I suspect the Seagnoid pulled some strings with someone somewhere and had it placed here especially for him.
Once the host object had been spotted the cache was a quick find. Giving it an FP both for the puzzle and the host. TFTC

Heading south once again for work tomorrow where I'm meant to presenting at an industry training conference, so to make up for it I thought I may as well work towards the DGSc Challenge that I'm doing. as to the elective that I chose, that was a real mistake (DT=<2.5), but then I'm almost there so no need to start all over once again.
Will admit to being a little unsure as to what to expect here, so parked and made my way to the location without really understanding where I was. the hint made no sense until I was there then the ah ha moment occured. great location just for the final and son the cache was in hand. I took the shorter way back to the car as why walk further than one needs to.
Cache in great condition
thanks for the placement and the cache

After talking with friends a couple of days ago about whether we had or they had this cache,I said we didn't and said we did not even have completed the puzzle,BUT how wrong was I, on checking the computer the next day to my surprise I was very wrong because i had solved it just hadn't got off my backside to go and get it, so lord knows how long ago I had worked this out. So today after work I go to see if i can find , talk about a slip sliding affair I finally arrive at ground zero and it was not too long before I are signing the log and removed a travel bug, replace container then back on my merry way up there ???.
Thanks for placing the cache here as this definitley one place in the manawatu that I have not been before (there are probably many others ).love the hint.TFTC

Had this one solved for a while now and was waiting for the weather to be better to come to this side of town to sort out a number of caches in the area. Holly&Kade, being on Uni mid term break, came with me and was pleased to find it was not wet and actually quite pleasant. My phone co-ords took us straight to the cache which we felt was an easy find. I picked up a trackable and dropped another off. TFTC
I solved this a long time ago (~2 years ago?) and even the CO was impressed with my methodology
With this weekend having a souvenir on offer for finding a puzzle cache, I wanted to knock off the local Titoki Challenge that RobNZH and I failed to FTF with a DNF.
I was all set to try to rectify this this afternoon when I remembered that today is the Seagnoid's birthday, and finding a cache by the Puzzlenoid would be much more fitting!
The EtherLord and Remnant Clans parked up at the initial coords and we all enjoyed a pleasant stroll towards my calculated GZ.
With two GPSrs and a cellphone all pointing in the same direction when we approached the aquatic obstacle, we decided to start our search on the far bank. Once there, the three devices couldn't agree on distance or direction...
After two fathers and seven children hunted for about 15 min, including taking an unrelated cellphone call from RobNZH, Remnant said "I found it ...I think?"
We crossed back over to where our devices were now pointing and headed to the item that Remnant noticed.
From there it was a quick find amongst a lively conversation of "Whisky Foxtrot Tango" and "How did this get here?" and "*why* is this here?!?" and "how did the CO find this? ".
Thanks for the puzzle. I enjoyed solving it.

I had previously looked at this & thought it was too hard but last weekend I decided to read through the description properly & nut it out. Turns out it was easier to solve than I thought. With a new addition to the family due Nov, today seemed like the best time to attack this terrain 3 cache while I still felt agile. I was rather annoyed to park up & find the toddler carrier wasn't in the car which meant either carrying Master (not so light) 18mths or take the pram....nope the pram won't work based on one of the first logs & the terraine so carry him it is....and that just proved how unfit I've become. Anyway, finally made it GZ which was the perfect place for Master to sit on while I carried out my duties. High fives to me for not losing my footing to & from the cache. To sum up, an easy puzzle to solve and find....getting there while essentially carrying 2 children - a lot harder. Oh yeah, and the carrier WAS in the car, tucked right under the passenger front seat. But who cares, I get a smiley for all my hard work! TFTC
not very often do I get to log a puzzle cache (dont have the mind for most of the puzzles) but this one I had managed to work out a while ago, got to GZ and was a bit surprised of the host really lovely walk around these parts clearing up a couple of caches, the dogs now stink as the bog was so much fun to play around in while we stayed clear, the place we were going to eat is closed so out to the ferry reserve then to the bird something or rather for a bite to eat, cache is all in good order, thanks for taking the time to put the puzzle and cache together.
Mr Jamogen spent some time methodically working this one out. He showed me the finished product! A great idea for a cache. We would have hunted it down this afternoon but the heavens opened and the rained poured. So after work just before it got too dark we quickly squeezed in time to find it. With feet covered in soaking wet grass and slipping several times (I claimed it was elegant slipping as I didn't go over!) we got to the black pixel. We soon had our hands on the cache. Great puzzle cache. Fave point from us! Thanks!
Very peculiar. Went caching today with a troop bigger than usual, when one of our first time cachers spotted the 'pixel'. Close inspection revealed it was indeed the cache we were looking for! Tftc
Navigating by pixels, like painting by numbers, was very foreign for me so I placed this puzzle in my "Too Hard" basket fora year or so... Eventually I interpreted enough of the code to go searching a couple of likely GZs and there it was- large as life and waiting for me less than a mile from my home!!
Thanks for the unique puzzle and adventure! Took nothing, Left Joy (Disney/Pixar movie character)

It took me quite a while to work this one out but I persevered with it. I then went out and found it while taking the dogs for a walk in the area. A very interesting spot! TFTC!
I am astonished this cache hasn't earned more favourite points. I enjoyed every stage of the adventure.
I solved the puzzle last year and I remember the suspense building as the image slowly came to life. I am sure there would have been a faster method but I was happy with the way I went about things.
The weather cleared up this afternoon which presented the perfect opportunity to walk to this site. I was surprised to see where my GPSr was directing me but I checked the terrain rating and got a match. Well done to the CO for discovering such an item in an environment like this. The cache was in a small pool of water but the container type means this is no problem.
[^] Great work, the Seagnoid [^]

Gah 2nd DNF visit, first visit I think we had the wrong coords, this time i'm sure we had the right coords but in hindsight not enough effort searching :/
#754 Seem to remember thoroughly enjoying solving this puzzle, and even better because it was of a type that I was actually able to solve =) Very random black pixel at GZ, how on earth did the CO come across this site! But works well with the theme. Took a little while to find the actual cache but got there in the end and the location assured no muggles. TFTC! All good inside.
Nice puzzle thanks. Geocache find 100. Coming across the black pixel was different, slightly surreal. Thanks!
What a clever cache! loved the puzzle and the location, can't wait to do more of yours
It took a little while to work out the co-ordinates then it was off to find the cache. TFTC
This needed some help from those who understand such things and could work out this puzzle. This then required a bit of a cross country scramble which when i first attempted I gave up as i was by myself and was alittle unsure of tackling this without company but today i had company...more agile youthful than me, and after a bit it was located and signed. thank you for the cache.
Found the black pixel easily enough, cache was a little harder to spot. Beautiful day for first cache of the year. Tftc
First time we've done a cache on Xmas Day - but needed the dot day.
Mrs G had laboured away to get the solution, so she was happy to let Mr G, who always rushes ahead anyway, complete the find, as he is more sure footed. So it was a good joint effort.
All quiet in the area late Xmas afternoon, not a soul to be seen. Must have been still sleeping off dinner. Anyway, it gave us a good little walk to help work ours off! TFTC

#5852. A nice puzzle to work through. Interesting journey to GZ in the wet today. Quick find. TNLNSL. TFTC.
It took us a long time to muster up the energy to attempt this one as it looked quite daunting, but actually once we started it wasn't that hard to get the pixels sorted. We did take a little time getting a couple of the numbers because of the extra's, (nice extra's though ), but was pretty happy with what we had when we headed for GZ.
Not a very nice day, so it was a bit wet & slippery around GZ today, but an easy find once there.
Left a pet rock - a panda. TFTC TS

An indoors day here today, the first day of daylight saving, blowing a gale outside. Decided to have a go at this one, the closest puzzle to home yet to solve. Very pleased to work this one out for myself, instead of asking for a tip from expert puzzle solving friends, as per usual. It took time and patience but it all came together in a satisfactory way. Put raincoat on late afternoon and walked to it, a half hour round trip. Absolutely no muggles today! Thanks Seagnoid for this clever and interesting puzzle, which took me to an intriguing final "thing". Deserves this favourite
Had a set of co-ordinates for this cache for quite a few months now but something was wrong somewhere. I tried two previous visits and braved the crocodile infested swamp to climb the towering cliffs to.........nothing, wrong GZ. Checked with a recent finder and discovered one key digit was awry. Back up this way today and straight to GZ to make the find. Well, what an interesting thing this thing is. Never seen anything like that before and probably won't again.
All nice and quiet here today, just a cache and a couple of finders, nightowl19 along for the find

Worked this one out a while ago, interesting place for a cache, wonder how this got here.. TFTC!
Cool puzzle and a most apt location for the final, put a smile on our faces, many thanks for the fun.
The puzzle took a while to work through, and the coordinates took us to an obvious hiding spot, but just exactly where. A circuit in each direction was necessary to spot the cache, more easily seen going one direction. TFTC
Day two of a Palmy caching expedition. And a beautiful day it was too. Clear, sunny, warm weather. Too good to believe.
The figuring was mind numbing but the work had been accomplished well before we left home for the flatlands.
We came on a round about route, but enjoyed a walk in this not unpleasant area. The actual object at GZ came as a surprise. Was this dropped here by a spaceship we wondered?
Straightforward find once at GZ. Cache in order, log signed, TB retrieved. Cache then re-hidden safely, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

Out and about today, caching with tmann421. We did a circuit from Palmy. It was great to find a variety of hides in the Manawatu (even a few under braces!)

#350 - I made really hard work of this one. Solving the puzzle wasn't too hard once I actually read the description properly. I should have known the Seagnoid usually explains exactly what to do to solve it (or says nothing at all!). Now with the puzzle solved I headed off towards GZ to find it. The next mistake (challenge?) I made was not trusting my instincts. I initially stopped next to one access point but then decided to drive on to another one. This then ended up involving a longer walk and many stairs. That's where my next decision added to the challenge. You see, I had the baby in the stroller (I thought this would have been possible with the initial terrain rating of 1.5 - now increased), I should have used the front pack. On approaching GZ I managed to get baby to within 10m of the cache (which was really hard work and I certainly would not recommend anyone else doing this with a stroller) and parked him up while I searched. I then carried on to GZ alone and walked around the cache 3 times before finally spotting it. Wow, glad to get that one ticked off.
A very nice puzzle, thank you Seagnoid and interesting location for the final - it all makes sense now. Left TB.

Started today's adventure off with this one. Took a couple of searches around the likely spot before seeing it.
#7090. The GPSr was pointing a fair way off the track, and Troodles was starting to doubt her solution. Still, might was well go down for a look. The hint was a bit mysterious, but once I got to GZ I was pretty sure I was in the right place. TFTC.
Used Microsoft Word to solve - it does have its uses . Wasnt sure if I had decyphered the co-ords correctly so got StreetWalker to take a second look, and he agreed with me. Took a round-about route to get to GZ, then wondered if we were in the right place as the terrain was rated 1.5 but the access looked anything but 1.5
Relieved when I heard StreetWalker utter the magic words "found it". Interesting puzzle. TFTC.

Didn't quite manage to solve this one before markhnz logged his find, but it was close Initially wasn't sure I had the correct coordinates but the image only gave one option. Visited GZ on a sunny Waitangi Day and didn't take too long to spot the cache in its interesting location. Took TB to move it on as puzzle caches don't always attract many visitors. TFTC Seagnoid.
It was funny that when the cache notification came through I happened to be talking about a cacher named pixelthis after spotting him on my wife's Facebook page.
I do a lot of stuff with pixels at work, so the puzzle was pretty easy.
Interesting location for the cache.
Thanks.
