Decided to go for a ride from Mt Helena to Wooroloo after a failed attempt on Thursday due to me snapping my bike chain not 300m from the vehicle. This has been a great trail to do and a chance to get out of the house.
This cache was quick to find. tftc

Out and about with Parkacruz and Themongrel today. On a nice sunny but chilly winters day, we only had 3 DNF's which was great. Parkacruz managed to squash her fingers between some rocks, so a tissue was issued and a couple of bandaids and told " to toughen up princess" so we could continue our caching day. ( Since coming home Parkacruz has been to the DR's and now has steristrips and an appointment for a surgeon OOPPPS)
Continued to work my way up this beautiful track with the geodog, this time starting at Chidlow. This little piggy took a bit of searching to find! Thanks for the cache!

Accompanied with Everlasting for the caching day after attended Australia Day event. Thank you for the cache.
After an enjoyable walk with my sister on the KEP track heading south from Mundaring Sculpture Park, today I decided to walk the track heading east from the same starting point all the way to Wooroloo. I was expecting a great adventure and this track (and the series of caches along it) did not disappoint. While the terrain was reasonably flat throughout, the frequent junctions and historical placards along the way made the trek more interesting. Lots of wildlife were spotted, lots of big grey kangaroos, bobtails, really large goannas, foxes and a wide array of birds. A great variety of hides can be found along the trail, with most caches hidden securely and in good working order. I had really good luck in finding this string of caches with only 2 DNFs for the day (i.e. Red Flag & Pipe-ular Picnic. I am feeling inspired to return another day to continue this KEP track epic.

Found it but about 6m away from coordinates. In exposed position - have covered where we found it but owner may need to check.
Out for a combined ride and geocaching combo with Mr Cache and junior cacher. Got a ring in today, so we are out to blitz it. Found this one, taking our daily tally to 16. Thanks for the cache! www.thesoloavocado.com
On the wrong side of the track. Had to bush bash to get here and DNF the ham . Perhaps, I haven’t learned from “A Dog Of A Cache” yet TFTH Allied Pranksters.
Did a maintenance run today fixing and checking containers. Rehid this one.
Well that was a pig of a cache to find! Got there in the end when I approached from a different direction. TFTC
Well had just biked down the kep. Had done 20 ca hes do the vipers were next. Looking looking then familysteiner grunted with success tftc
Headed out for an afternoon with barnzy12 towards Northam. After picking him
Up and being told just wait a minute I need to bring a few things out I got rather suspicious. I at this stage had no real idea where we were heading and what we were to find today.
Steve as always thinks ahead, stays up late and develops a plan. Out he came with a ladder....... Then a canoe and said lets pack them in and go.
In the car he stated he wanted to do a sky, land and water day. I was intrigued to say the least.
The ladder would be used to help us climb a tree and the canoe to save us getting wet instead of going for a "light" swim as its getting rather cold now.
We started of getting some Kep track caches on the way to Northam.
Then stopped in for a field puzzle or two prior to making it to Northam.
Most caches were found in good condition with one DNF and a few a little water logged after the recent storms.
We hopped to find enough today to get B12 closer to the magical 6000 finds that he is hoping to log for the WA Goes Big event in 2 weeks. See a lot of you there.

TFTC! Had a days caching planned with Cravo10 as we haven't really gone out for a full day since our action packed whirlwind 3500 kilometre trip to Kalgoorlie, Leonora, Esperance, kulin and surrounds trip.
Had a sleep in this morning before we headed out on our mission to tackle a few caches on the Lep Track to Northam, with a few others along the way thrown in for good measure.
Planning the route last night i thought of the idea of a Land, Air & Seas day, with the kep track caches forming the land leg, a kayak on the Avon forming the sea leg (river) and the air leg being some tree climbing in wundowie. This was not mentioned to John in the plans as usual as he generally gets apprehensive about these "ideas", so when he turned up I just casually mentioned "I've gotta get a couple of things from the garage", that's when the face changed and I explained about the days "goals"
Anyway we had a later than usual start and tackled a bunch of the caches between mundaring and wundowie along the kep track before deviating to lake leschenaultia. The two field puzzles here chidlows well and assembly required weren't really on the days plans, as I generally have pretty poor form when it comes to field puzzles and I bring along muggle mate come geocacher Numbers Man to solve them which generally costs me a lunch.
Lake leschenaultia turned into the highlight of the day. WP2 of assembly required is probably one of the most fun geocaches I have ever come across. Such a simple task, but quite hard aswell as I struggle to follow instructions!! And chidlows well, was a bit apprehensive after reading some of the earlier logs but we had the container within about a minute of arrival, great job on that one. Tried to take all sorts of backways to grab the final for the assembly required puzzle but should have just walked from wp2, it would have been easier and not wasted thirty minutes of our time.
After completing the lake leschenaultia caches we then continued towards Northam but time was getting tight as we didn't bring any push bikes so we were walking from the car to the cache each time which was slowing Us down significantly. We eventually got to Northam a bit later than expected and grabbed some much needed supplies to refuel the body for our next leg.
We arrived at the banks of the Avon to complete the Avon a swim cache in the geo yaks, which has been on the radar for a while with all the caching growth in the area. We paddled down with a nice strong current pushing us down the river towards GZ, we took some notes from he listing and the maps as we didn't want to take the phones on the water. Was a nice quick find in a logical spot, well the only spot really. And we then paddled back against the strong current which gave the arms a good workout. Only got marginally wet, thankfully as it was a bit chilly!!
We then planned out assault on the tree climbing aspect of the day the eucalyptus cache in wundowie, unfortunately we arrived in darkness and even after coming prepared with an extremely large ladder we still couldn't reach it and didn't want to risk life or limb in the dark for just one cache, so we decided to leave it for another time
All in all another great day out, should be able fo complete the kep series on our next visit to the area which hopefully isn't too far away although the CPS series has really taken a back seat after this series was published!
Thanks to all the COs for their caches. Cheers!

Doing some caches in the KEP series today we were able to collect a couple of your caches along the way to complete our yellow smilie line on the map! This one took a bit of time to find, had to extend our search area. Such a nice walk up to this one through the trees. TFTC
TFTH Out and about with Robroy_co collecting caches along the KEP. It is never good to have unfound caches to spoil a good line of smilies! Lovely day, lovely area and lovely company. Cache had us hunting for a while but found, log signed and returned. Thanks Allied Pranksters
Out and about with Me&B today and was able to tick this one off the list. Cheers and TFTC.
Bit of a pig as GPS was misbehaving but eventually found in a likely spot. TFTC Allied Pranksters.
Grunting and groaning with a great find, left something that you could use behind
Took a wee bit to find this one. Mainly due to the fact that I checked the acual hiding spot to start with but overlooked it. Lucky I re-checked. Tftc
After getting a couple of FTFS around the lake we stopped to grab the Viper caches. All were found without any problems TFTC Allied pranksters
This was the second of the Vipers for this afternoon, and this one had me searching for quite a while. My GPS unit had had a slight meltdown and had lost all the descriptions, logs and hints, but kept the name and coords, so that's all I had to go on.
I searched high and low, and expanded my search area with every pass, and eventually found what I was looking for. Nicely hidden, thanks for the cache Allied Pranksters!

Well that was easy lol. Somehow my iPhone (lazy geocacher today) had this pin pointed perfectly! Wasn't covered up to well, probably due to lots of rain washing away, so hence turned around and saw it. Signed log (beautifully dry) and replaced with some more covering. Great cache!
Headed out with the kids for a bit of a bike ride... And of course to find a few caches on our way! After our last visit here, I was very excited to find the sneaky viper in the first spot I looked [^] Perhaps it was because I approached it from the correct direction & not through the scrub lol!
TFTC Allied Pranksters Couldn't believe it... I forgot a pen!!! So back we rode to the car, before returning to sign the log... Cache was in good condition.

Finished work early today and drove up the hill for a spot of Friday arvo caching around Chidlow. Did a loop around the lake first.
Took a few minutes to find this one. Sneaky. TFTC

Out Chidlow way for catching up with friends at Lake Leschanaultia. I got there early to pick out all the spares that I havent done since I last came.
Bush bashed from previous cache. Got to GZ and had a good look around and thought it would be something but in the end it was completely different hide.

We parked the geo-motorhome at the Chidlow Hall and walked via the old railway track. No busy traffic, not muggles and no bushbashing required. Nice cache again! Easily found and in good condition. TFTC Allied Pranksters.
Well Pagan stayed with the car as there wasn't a safe parking spot where we approached from so Loki hopped out to 'quickly' grab it. Took the terrain 3/3.5 approach!! And once at GZ, couldn't find the blasted thing. Hunted high and low for what felt like ages. I hate micros in the bush. Finally finally checking one last spot before admitting defeat and there it was.
Thanks Allied Pranksters

At Lake Leschenaultia for a Masters swim so took the opportunity to look for some nearby caches. Took a little while to find this one. Log still damp (o-ring missing) but writable.
Thanks Allied Pranksters for the cache.

Dumped the bike roadside and headed through scrub to log this find. MDV thinks I'm ridiculous when I talk to caches like this but I think I relate to this type of hide since I eat way too much chocolate. The log was wet but completely serviceable if I had've had a pen. Sadly my pencil left only a smudgy indent in the log. I did take a photo but assume you'll trust me on my find else decipher the last log in the scroll. Thanks for the cache Allied Pranksters.
Found with richlink on a road trip to York / Northam area.
This one took us a bit longer to find than the others but was found soon enough. Thanks Allied Pranksters.

lisacarlo must have been here just after I left as I found it buried under leaf litter, which might explain the earlier few DNFs. I left it in the same spot but a bit easier to find. Yes, it's a micro, but attached to something bigger which explains the "ham" reference. T4TC!
Gave it a good try but this one beat us. Decided to leave while we still had some skin left! Lol! We love a challenge so we'll be back!
Day out caching with Branzy12 and Numbers Man, We had an early start with a DNF on the first cache for the day....TFTH
After having a picnic lunch at our block of land, we decided to call into Chidlow for a look around... We searched for sometime here & were unable to find the cache! After talking to the CO, perhaps we were concentrating our search on the wrong spots
TFTH Allied Pranksters, we shall return when we are next out this way

Headed out this way after the earthcache event at Boya Quarry where I was lucky enough to catch up with the CO of this cache. Thought I knew what I was looking for here, but it took a bit of up and down, around and around before the beasty was coaxed from his hiding spot. Thanks Allied Pranksters
