Today, I had organised with Freddo and gridge98 to ride the Northern Expressway bikeway to complete the *Nexy Challenge* series geocaches. We rode the full distance, and then in the afternoon, jesswrigley and I visited the south-eastern end of Cleland Conservation Park and took a few walks around the area. The day began cold spitting a little, but towards the afternoon, it turned out to become quite warm and not too hot; almost the perfect day to be outside and hiking.
Freddo, gridge98 and I had set off early to complete this series. Both gridge98 and I had yet to find these geocaches, and Freddo had recently acquired these and was in the process of performing maintenance for a few that had accumulated DNFs. We rode past here, stopped, and managed to find this cache reasonably quickly. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Burton's for the cache placement, and equipe de cinq for its ongoing maintenance.

Today I headed out with the godfather (Freddo) and Davidwazza to complete the next challenge trail and start the next big thing. A nice ride along the trail for the whole 50km as we went from Gawler to Port Adelaide. A great day out with over 40 finds.,
Thanks for the cache

Floundered initially here, but after surveying a larger area all the signs were pointing to a particular type of hide, and there it was. Thanks Burtons.
Nice find on a perfect cycling day! Thanks to hints from previous loggers knew where to look but had fallen down. TFTC
It was quite dark with hevwalker,
we had a fair idea where it could be,
but we didn't find anything...

Headed out after work to clear up some more of the Nexy Challenge. Decided to do some walking rather than bringing the bike so I still have an odd few ones left to do where I decided the walk was too far or if I missed a parking spot.
It was great that earthlight had replaced a few that I hadn't been able to find last time.
Ended up with 15 finds for the afternoon which I was happy with, particularly as I didn't leave work on time due to a black jigsaw getting in the way.
This was another that Earthlight had replaced, thanks Liz!

Today was out with Dayseekers locating a few caches.Co asked if I could help replace this cache as in area.
Now all good to go.but slightly closer to road end due to unable to access through bushes where i originakly found years ago.
Took trackables to visit.

Been planning another Friday afternoon for ages. Finally decided to do it today so got the bike loaded in the Ute last night.
Thinking I could have picked a better day as it was so windy this afternoon. Luckily though the rain held off so it was just wind to contend with.
Had a makeshift lunch with the geohusband and hound at work and then headed out here to try and get 20’pr so caches.
Had a few dnfs and a few manly logs but the rest were all found easily in the obvious spots.
Some nice history panels to read.
The big ride back to the Ute almost finished me off but made it before the heavens opened.
Stopped for Scooby snacks on the way home. Great caching afternoon will plan another trip to hopefully collect the rest.
Adding to the dnf list TFTH

As we were signing the log a crash of thunder sent a scare through the geokids and the signing happened very quickly. Tftc.
Replaced log with small notepaper only as log itself all torn. TYFTC SLTNLN.. the GCR pup was wanting to eat it!
Quick little find. Wasn’t going to let the rain get in the road of a few caches. Disappointed someone used this area as a dumping ground.
Having fulfilled a daughterliness duty (yes, that's a word, Owl looked it up!) in the morning Owl felt she had earnt some caching R&R. Finding a willing victim... oops, accomplice... in SA Sewer Rats, she set out to help the Rat clean out Gawler and get herself closer to the same goal. One day Owl will finish this series. One day.
For quite some time now i have being wanting to do this group of caches. Today is a beautiful 26 degrees, and that was all the motivation i needed. So i packed my gear, jumped on my bike and caught a train out to Gawler.

On my way home from a cousins place in Gawler I just remembered there was a cache here, I pulled up quickly and made a reasonably quick find, after that I realized I had part of the Nexy Challenge numbered caches... #46. I must get around to riding out this way one day and starting at #1 SL at 16:20 on a very warm sunny Monday the 12th of Dec. 2016. TFTC Burton's
The morning started in reverse. Gawler to Nexy Challenge #13. All finds were made with #Bones5 on bikes (no lycra in sight). The morning had us riding into the wind for the journey ahead. Was great to have a day out biking not hiking!!! Thanks.
I had neglected to bring a bike with me today !! [:o]
And was on shanks pony for a walk along the NEXY
A very quiet day too !!
A quick, stroll-by find

Funny finding this one at night with lots of muggles driving by!!! One grinch hiding behind the bushes laughing as everyone else scurried into the scrub as a car approached!!! TFTC
Today was a special day, with the aim to get JJ52's 3000th find. We set off early in the morning with a bit of a plan and hoped to get as many of Gawler's caches as we could. At the end of the day I had 32 finds and 2 DNF's, experienced my 4th visit to Gawler Fort Knox and found an old (original) MIA cache that had long ago been replaced!
Found this one quickly but getting it out was a bit trickier

Ismartis and I headed to Gawler today, somewhere I had not done any caching and I was on my way to number 3000 so it was a good opportunity to see some different country and earmark a special cache for my milestone. We set off with a rough plan of the caches we would try and find and ended up having a really good day with 34 finds and 2 DNF's for me. [^]
We were driving past so decided to stop and get these ones on the side of the road. One of my geocaching goals now is to get the rest of the Nexy Challenge caches on my bike. I reckon it would be a lovely ride on a nice day.
Thanks for the cache Burton's.

I did this bike way first time with 55 finds on my push bike. Only time to do the start today. Thanks Burton's.
Nice ride along this bike trail only had a couple of problems due to water logged or missing but so far a nice collection of caches.
Last one for the day but first of this series. Will have to come back for the others. TFTC
simple find along the bike path. will have to bring my family and bikes back to complete the whole trail
Another great find on a geocaching trip around the area.
Thanks for putting up this cache and the series and making my visit fun.

Headed out to Gawler today with earthlight and snap happy to grab some of the local caches, weather was great and some of the views were spectacular, a quick find as we made a slight detour to grab these ones : ) TFTC

Muggle partner dropped me off at Gawler where I met Snap Happy at the start of the Nexy trail.
We rode, we cached (Peter more than me as I had already found a few caches on the trail) and then later we drove out to Stockport, still caching
I ended the day with 20 finds and 1 DNF on Nexy #22, which will soon be rectified.
We pedalled, we laughed, we found caches and we found muscles that we weren't sure we had
Due to my having an appointment in Gawler, we had to stop halfway through but we will return to complete the rest!
Snap Happy was quite happy when he said 'that's a puzzle cache' and I replied 'that's ok, I've solved it'
Thanks for the fun and the exercise
