Found the information when I arrived on the train and then headed elsewhere for a few caches. Returned for my walk around central Sunbury and made a fast find here. Good magnet! Thanks.

Found between rain showers today. Think this might be the last as I got soaked earlier and would like to get changed. Left a pathtag. Thanks for placing

Having signed a log for a challenge to find 1000 multi caches Im now on a mission to find them Ive found almost 100 since I signed the log. Only about 400 to go and this is how you do it - trying to find as many as you can when youre out geocaching! Thanks for the fun. I just need to translate the solved coordinates to the place on the app correctly and Id need less PAFs! Loved the two towers!

Apparently I can't count, or was looking at the completely wrong structure as my GZ turned out to be on the tarmac. I tried a couple of other options and one took me to a likely place but I couldn't find anything cache-ish. I'll have to start over another day once I've worked out which way is north and west!!

Found a sign with a missing bolt and remembered seeing somone log that the magnet came off. Wandering if the geocache has come loose and rolled away

Nice, easy find. The container's lid is missing and the magnet has come off, but the logbook is still fine. TFTC

A day was planned to cache in Sunbury, a location we only have visited fleetingly once before, with the added bonus of an event. After a quick bite to eat at a local restaurant we continued exploring Sunbury via the labcaches and multis. The carpark was busy but we fluked 2 parks, 1 inbetween both water towers and 1 right beside GZ. Found the cache without a lid but the logbook was still in good condition. Thanks Team Ladava for the multi placement.

12-Jan-24
The previous day Donutholes notified me that he had a day free. So we made plans the following day to grab a few caches around Sunbury.Who knew it was going to be 36, but it added to the days caching entertainment. We worked our way around to gather the required information.Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks for the multi cache Team Ladava #7,766

AusFox and I decided to meet up and cache the area to collect a bunch of Adlabs, trads and multis. The temperature was sitting at a nice 35 degrees but that didn't stop us... Just slowed us down a little :pAfter working out what was needed. We made our way to GZ. Cache was found quick enough but the container is in need of repair. The cap is missing so the logbook is exposed to the elements. Thanks for placing for us all to enjoy SmileA wise man once said "Do whatever sprinkles your Donut"

What a classic old thing. The numbers were crunched and the cache was found right on zero!! The tank is very out of place these days.

In the area for parkrun and hunted out some caches(mostly multi) afterwards.

Massive thanks go to Team Ladava for placing this one.

Visiting from Port Macquarie.
Catching up on a couple logs. With some time to kill before our vline back to the city (there was a much sooner metro service but we decided to wait to avoid the scourge of replacement buses), we decided to head back over the tracks for this multi. Some good looking coords were soon calculated and cache located after a short walk.
Thanks for the cache

The Whittlesea Mega has been on and off for a long time due to that rotten COVID-19. The sad part is that due to MND I really think this could be my last Mega but I am in the area for a week thanks to my two great SA friends who travelled from SA visiting Ballarat for a couple of days and then moved down to Geelong only to pick me up and we are staying in Craigieburn for a week and then they are taking me back to Geelong. It’s generosity like that Geocaching folk are renowned for, plus all the help that I have received in the past few days which I will be forever grateful.
This guy was found , signed on the 22nd Novmber 2022 with my two SA friends who are looking after the ageing Bushfire.
Thanks for placing and looking after this cache Team Ladava.

I was up in Romsey finishing off some work that I had started recently at one of my kids place’s.
(They have only been waiting since June last year)
So after that I had a couple of hours to spare before I had to get home so I thought that I would finally make a start on some more caches around Sunbury especially a couple of the newer ones.
Another Team Ladava cache and it has been quite a while since I have found one of them.
Definitely different styles and designs when these 2towers were designed built and I definitely like the brick one the most.
Sat down near tower 2 and did the sums and came up with a reasonable set of coords so off I went.
Soon added my name to the log.

Thanks Team Ladava TFTC.

Having a day out with Echidna44 and our muggle husbands, we decided to target Sunbury where neither of us had cached previously. This was the first for the day. A nice simple multi with a final GZ not too far away. Love it.

11-Dec-22
We had a day in the Sunbury area caching and lunching with BoabTree and muggle husbands.
I love this old water tower.
We soon had the required numbers and headed off to GZ for a quick find. Thanks Team Ladava.

Whittlesea Mega Wobble and Wade Tour: Day 9: We went to Sunbury for the afternoon Surprised

Once again myself and Anymules were in Victoria on our way to a Mega event. Wink We made a detour via Geelong and picked up Bushfire. It had been three years since we last all cached together. [^] Today we set out for Sunbury for the afternoon with a pub meal at the local pub. Razz Many caches were found and unless something stood out these will be generic logs. Cool

Loved the old towers. RazzRazz Once at GZ made a quick find. Smile

***Thanks Team Ladava for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Big Grin

Whittlesea Event trip. Day 9. Caching today with bushfire and brisal5.

Wrong calculations led to not being able to find this. Back again to look at things and new numbers were generated.

They then led to a structure where we didn’t think a “small” could be - and there wasn’t. It was a micro.

I found your D1.5/T1.5 Small Multi-Cache called The Old Water Towers - Revisited at 14:53 on 22 November 2022. It was find #16442 for me. Thank you Team Ladava for placing this cache for our enjoyment in the wonderful state of Victoria.

20-Nov-22
Found in the last place we looked. Thanks for the fun.

November 2022. Time for the second Victorian Mega of the year. This time in Whittlesea. What is it with W's? Time for another epic road trip. Who will join our merry crew? We traveled from South Australia and camped in the pig pen. It rained. It blew. It was sunny. It was not sunny. All four seasons. Beautiful location and some awesome caches.

Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke für den Cache. Gracias por el caché. Bedankt voor de cache. Kiitos kätköstä. Zikomo posungira. Terima kasih untuk cache. Hvala cache. Köszönöm a cache. Nga mihi mo te keteroki. Dankie vir die kas.

A nice and simple multi in town today, cache easily found and is all good

After the mega in Whittlesea over the past few days, e.gregory1, freddo and I headed home on a roundabout route via Bendigo and St arnaud to collect a few caches on the way.

Thanks for the cache

20-Nov-22
Found while travelling back home to Adelaide with Freddo and gridge98 from the Mega event at Whittlesea in Victoria.

There was certainly some wild weather today!

Thanks Team Ladava for the cache.

23-Oct-22
I enjoyed learning that part of history of the town. Very tricky one to not get muggled! Thanks for the cache.

19-Sep-22
Tftc, multi #6 for the day. Good to finally tick it off after solving coordinates earlier in the month during a short break at work, but being unable to get to GZ until today. Very busy with muggles; had to comeback ~2h after first attempt earlier today for it to be quiet enough to find it...but even so, had to wait for adjacent traffic jam to start moving.

TFTC, learnt some history about Sunbury. Sat down and calculated the GZ. The GZ was challenging to find but managed to get there in the end. Parking and using the car shielding helped with the walking muggles on one side.

18-Jan-22
I had a bit of trouble finding the first tower from the start coords but once found, all was easy from then. Thanks

24-Oct-21
TFTC and additional info about the water tank. I didn’t know there were two. Quiet with muggles too.

Thanks for the fun little cache to find - all the years I've lived here and didn't realise that brick building was also a water tower. Thanks for the education!
Enjoyed finding this little cache on Mothers Day.

06-May-21
Out and about with 80 degrees clearing out some in the north. Shopping centres - blah.
Picked up the clues and took the lazy option. We had wrong gz so PAF. Needed to move a little and then found container on the ground. Nice pieced of history retained here. Thanks for all the excellent work you have done in the name of the game Team Ladava

06-May-21
Out and about for a ladies day with xambo4u checking out caches in and around Sunbury. Made the calculations but in between family phone calls had to recalculate. Then cache was soon found and log signed.TFTC

Exactly where it was meant to be. Magnet stayed put when I retrieved container, so I placed it inside and holder stayed in place. T4TC

17 September 2020 thanks for showcasing these towers, beautifully built!

21-Jun-20
Spiffy- and I decided a few multi caches were in order for today plus a few other random caches. The forecast was for lots of rain, but we managed to stay dry.

Clues gathered quickly then off we went. At GZ it was a quick find.

Thanks to Team Ladava for the placement and fun.

21-Jun-20
Found at 12:36 pm.
Fleabag- and I had a few hours today and thought we would slowly start working our way towards a couple of different multi cache challenges plus a few other random caches. Forecast was for showers but we managed to avoid them the whole time which was brilliant.
Managed to gather all the clues from above but then needed to head down for the GZ. Parked right at GZ so we had a shield for a nice easy find.
Thanks Team Ladava for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

18-Jun-20
No luck for me today but timing was poor as there were far too many muggles around for a proper search. I’ll be back.

05-Feb-20
After a DNF from a very experienced team I thought I better check this one as the final is in a very public location but all is as it should be with the prize safe and sound.

02-Feb-20
A big fat DNF!!

I travelled up from the CBD tonight in order to get my first came in Hume. This multi looked lovely and simple, and the logs suggested a quick find! Coordinates calculated, I walked to GZ and searched. Searched and searched. For 20 minutes... Nope, nothing, nada, nil.

So incredibly disheartening as I'm leaving Melbourne in two days, so doubt I'll be back here to tick off this LGA! Never mind...

07-Jan-20
After completing a trail nearby we stopped in for ice cream and finished off a few caches in town.... TFTC

07-Jan-20
After a delicious stop for ice cream nearby this was a quick multi thanks

07-Dec-19
I was in the area picking up a cache for the day, when i checked if this DNF had been fixed since I was last here. Yes, it had been fixed, I already had my one cache for the day but could not resist picking this one up since I had to log a DNF last time I was here.

Thanks for the quick action putting this one back into service Team Ladava

Did not find this cache, found ground zero but there was no cache. Did manage to find a magnet that would be perfect to attach a cache, but I left it there.

Attempting a streak, leaving the daily cache till 10PM is not wise bit there are a couple of hours left.

That first tank is fantastic they don't make them like that anymore!

Will return again if the cache is actually there.

Finally found it after trying to work out what one is the water tower haha so took longer then I hoped. Hard find but found it in the end thank you Smile

Headed to Sunbury today, my birthplace and old hometown, for some 'memory lane' caching with the Geomutt Bentley. Went back to some memorable spots, found a stack of caches, and had lunch with my Nan. A great day out overall.

I recall these old towers, seeing them every single day after getting off the train from working a shitty job in the city before driving back to Riddles Creek. In fact, back then the whole carpark or overpass wasn't even built! Just this old white footbridge! And no Met service either! How times change. Would love to bump into myself getting off that train and let myself know one day I'd have a job i'd love and not be in the monotony of getting the train back to Sunbury every day.

Find took some time as searching in the wrong spot - until spied the grey, spotted the cache and made the find. Thanks!

30-Sep-18
Ttytc - took 2 attempts but got there eventually..

29-Sep-18
In Sunbury to visit a friend, went for a nice stroll to pick up some caches beforehand. Man, this one sure is muggle central...
TFTC!

22-Sep-18
A bold hide in a prominent spot. I'm normally not a fan as it increases chances of muggling but if the CO is willing to put in the time and go to the expense of replacing containers the least I could do is make an effort to look at what they want me to look at and go where they tell me to go Wink
So it turned out with this particular multi although I did have a fixed idea of what a water tank ought to look like so was blind to the first for a couple of bridge crossings over the train tracks .
After eventually READING the cache page and noting the item I needed to look at thus enabling me to make the connection between the concept of a water tank and the actual thing before me I had an interesting looking set of coords especially given the area around no. 1.
Off I went and when at GZ and trying to suss out car and pedestrian movements so I could time my forays into the ground cover I spied a certain something. Yippee! So, when the coast was sufficiently clear I quickly grabbed the container and retreated to the nearest piece of infrastructure to sign the log.
Having done that the only two muggles who had been in the same place all the way through this little journey were sufficiently distant and probably occupied with thoughts of teenage social coups involving their friends and boyfriends that the cache is no doubt safe and sound.
Thanks for drawing attention to these pieces of history. The developers have done their best to have them fade into the background but us cachers know better!

**Find #2027**

Lucky for me I actually parked very close to the final GZ. Grabbed the co-ords quickly and arriving at GZ I search around with no luck, So I checked my numbers, made an adjustment an the cache was quickly found. Blends in nicely. Nice to see the water Towers have survived.

Thanks **Team Ladava**

Thanks for the experience of visiting the old Towers, they are a relic of a different era

Down in Sunbury for a trip to the supermarket, we thought we would make the most of the nice weather and grab a few caches, as blue skies and sun can be a little rare at this time of year.

This cache involved a nice stroll around, and a bit of a history lesson. While we worked out the coords, we had a sit down and watched a young bloke on a scooter trying to do some kind of trick - presumably unsuccessfully. Unless falling over is one of the new tricks to be mastered by scooter riders. Luckily, he sprung right back up and scooted away, no injuries to anything but his pride.

The cache was nicely hidden, and luckily we did not have any trouble opening it up. TFTC Team Ladava!

13-Feb-17
Logged after a dash to the supermarket.

Thanks Team Ladava for another little history lesson about Sunbury with cache attached. The find was quick enough, but I think that it took nearly as long to open the cache container as it did to cover off the cache requirements and locate it. The rain seems to have caused a little surface rust and it was a sticky little blighter.

Anyway, another Team Ladava cache under my belt and another consecutive day of caching since Christmas.

10-Jan-17
After a nice afternoon in Sunbury we stopped at the shops on the way home but while the rest of the family went to the supermarket, I went caching. I quickly found the info needed to calculate GZ and headed off to see how busy it was going to be. Thankfully it was reasonably quiet and I was able to make a quick grab of the cache. Now the difficult part began though because I couldn't for the life of me get it open. After five minutes of trying to dislodge the lid of the container which was firmly stuck, I was contemplating heading into the nearby Big W to get some sort of tool when finally I twisted at the right angle and managed to release the lid so that I could add my name to the log. Thanks for the cache Team Ladava.

Made plans to head out with the family and na'wal. The plan was to achieve 100 in a day by completing the mount disappointment series then by going home via Sunbury and Melton. The daily total ended up being 113.
The day started with a car/truck collision on the freeway so we were stuck for around half hour and then back on our way.

Very hard to get open but nawals geo-tools got the job done.
Ended up back here about an hour later as geo-wife realised I had taken my watch of and put down on ground. Luckily it was still there when we returned.

Log signed and replaced.

### Find **# 3486** Multi **# 181** Big Grin ###

A plan was in place for Buzzsmc and myself to make our way back to the Mt Disappointment series for 61-130 and cache through Sunbury & Melton then head home. Our target goal was 100 caches in a day which we were able to fulfill and ended with 113 caches for the day with only 2 DNF's. After an early start, we got stuck on the Geelong freeway with a car and truck accident, after a 30 minute delay we were back on track and off and running for the day. A great day out, our thanks to the CO's for placing these caches.

We parked as close as we could to gather the information for this one. We were sure we had it right. We walked to the final, past plenty of muggles, waited for our chance once at GC and made a quick find. Container lid was very tight, so out came the trusty leatherman. We ended up having to come back here to pick up a dropped watch left by Buzzsmc. Lucky that it was still there. Signed and returned as found.

**Thanks for this multi cache, Team Ladava.** [^]
