We headed to this trail today with a couple of totts, hopeful to make some finds despite the wet weather. In Beechworth to finally pick up a bunch of solved puzzles and get some caching done before the Mega in January. Container found at back of tree. Thanks for your hide here Joelisa
Earlier today Barb2e, Kittykatch, Joolay and I went on an expedition to look at these cache. Signed as Capital Crunchers.
We found a few, some where too high - even for our tallest ladder and given the driving rain and wind too dangerous to climb.
That road is VERY slippery....

Coming back from Beechworth a group of us from Canberra (including Joolay, Kittykatch and isopeda) decided to have a look at this trail of tree climbs. Container found at back of tree and signed as Capital Crunchers. Tftc
Found low and signed.
Last day in Beechworth and time to head home after a last few caches.
It’s been a great weekend with barb2e, Isopeda and Kittykatch picking up caches in the area. Signed as Capital Crunchers.
Thanks For getting me out and about Joelisa

In Albury for a week and I noted this little series of tree climbs that looked like fun. Made a morning of it in Walla Walla - pretty town. No problems here.
Thanks Joelisa for entertaining me at this location.

Out at Walla Walla chasing the 4.5 tree climb series with Cybergran V on Nav duties, dalerious. on the climbing to stupid heights duties (just because your wearing a superhero T shirt doesn't make the landing any softer) and Team ILooked There on ladder holding and spotting duties.
Nice easy one this.
Thanks Joelisa.

Thanks Joelisa.
If only all tree climbs were like this one for the septuagenarians!
No heart in mouth moments for this one, albeit not in it’s usual position.
But very happy to sign the log here before continuing with trepidation to the next one with dalerious and ILookedThere.
Thanks Joelisa.

No ladder on car.
No cache.
Just a logbook in a ziplock bag not far off the ground.
Our names are in the book, but I would still love to have another go at both these disabled caches when they are back online. Hopefully when I come back for another go at that elusive last one. [^]

###**CACHE OWNER ACTION REQUIRED PLEASE**###
----------
Hi there Cache Owner,
This cache has come to my notice as there is a 'Needs Maintenance' log that that indicates there is some sort of issue with the placement and it needs your attention please.
Check out the Guidelines here: [**cache owners responsibilities.**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines#listingmaintenance) If you can't attend to the issue promptly, then you need to [**Disable the cache**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=235) - I have Disabled it for you this time.
**Can you please respond to this situation (or indicated your intention) within 14 days,** so others know exactly what is happening with this cache?
You have lots of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:
- Check on the cache, repair and/or replace the cache or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the praises.
- If you really hope to get it fixed but there is some unusual reason why you can't do it soon, then at least post a Write Note log (within 14 days). Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. For ongoing issues (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 28 days so as to keep everyone up to speed.
- If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it,**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when I next look at the cache page, it is likely that I will unfortunately have to de-list (Archive) it on the basis that it has been abandoned.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.

We are always on the look out for high T caches, and so having noticed this set of tree climbs we diverted off our intended route so that we could undertake them. We had a lot of fun swinging around in the trees! This one was a very quick find once at Ground Zero as we found it at a very accessible location. We signed the log book and then replaced it a tad higher. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe

After an amazing few days at the St Arnaud Mega, it was time to start the long journey home to Sydney with Tardis0061. Of course we would take the opportunity to visit a few additional LGAs as well as add some more numbers to our Vic Sudoku grid.
This series was one of the main targets for our trip and we came prepared with our TOTTS. Having aborted our attempts at #2 and #2.5, we were surprised to find this one without the need for a TOTT after spending quite some time staring up without spotting the container.

Have attempted these previously with & without TOTT unsuccessfully. Today mother nature had lowered the terrain rating enough for me to make a quick grab in between soccer mum duties. Unfortunately on my way to gz I had a thong blowout so had to barefoot cache which isn't ideal! SL and replaced as found. Tftc.
Hi Joelisa! Thanks for creating this exciting strip of tree caches, however please note that the caches for #1 and #3 seem to have fallen from their perches.
I have looked at these caches before but were well out of my reach and capabilities. I was made aware that these caches were now accessible. I was heading up this way this morning to pick up geokid#1 so made a slight detour to make the find. Mother nature has made this find possible as cache container is still attached to tree branch which is now sitting alongside the road.. Thanks joelisa I have signed the log and replaced safely in the fork of the tree.
Found this one on a road trip back to Sydney collecting LGA and Victoria largest Sudoku Thanks to crash2079 for teaming up and Thanks joelisa cache for the placement Cheers

Was up in Walla Walla doing some maintenance and investigating the potential to reinstall an archived cache and so thought I would poke along the stock route and have a look at these caches (I had always avoided as I don’t carry the appropriate TOTT and I am not a free climber of trees). Spotted a couple up high in their roosts but this was one of two that were down low and accessible without assistance. Probably needs reinstatement but happy to pick up while available.

The cut&paste bit: Doing a big road trip from Central Coast NSW to St Arnaud Mega. On my phone so may be slow to log with the full story or add pics etc....
This time approaching the tree I saw the logbook on the ground in its plastic bag, thankfully with no cacher skeleton next to it! I signed the log which was otherwise OK. I looked around and couldn’t see any sign of a cache container etc, not in the tree or on the ground. Needless to say this cache needs a check I put the logbook and bag in the fork of the tree and covered with some camo.

We enjoyed a day of caching from Culcairn thru' Morven & Gerogery to Walla Walla & return. It felt as if every DR and TR was covered at some point, so many creative, sneaky or just plain bold hides. Dedicated CO's have placed for geocachers to find or sometimes walk away from in frustration.
We soon found this series beyond the reach of us and our trusty TOTT.

Had a look at the Tree Climbing caches today. We hoped our TOTT would help but it wasn't tall enough for any of them, some would have been close but still too difficult. We will have to return with a younger fitter helper at some stage to get these ones.
Thought we would like to try out this little T4.5 trail while around the area. Some just jumped out at us, we could see easily others were not visible at all. The extendable ladder was good but was just not long enough all the time. It would have been much better with some younger and fitter people around to climb up higher than we could have. The trees keep growing, and growing so the terrain keeps growing with it. Mmmmm
We decided we would do this one backward with the theory that by the end we would be exhausted and the hard ones would be over. Leaving the easier one till last, this did work to some extent.
This one #3 was good easy to see as you drove up to it my Geo Chauffer did my climbing for me again, he is my hero after all, Thanks goes to him for that.
Found the cache, Signed the log, replaced it, then on our way.
Thanks for this series of cache’s Joelisa, Lil Donna

After a failed mission to come to Walla Walla last week, I found myself with a full day off today to come today. I have been planning to do the ‘4.5 Tree Climb Trail’ for quite some time and collect the pre-solved puzzles located within the town limits. It was full of finds, DNF’s, lunch and conversations with the people I met along the way. I also loved the great locations I visited today. After finishing caching in Walla, I headed north to collect the lone caches around the back roads which lead to lots of backtrack driving. With all this driving I found myself with almost 600kms making it my biggest distant caching day I have ever yet. TB visit on all found caches. On some of the smaller log sheets/books I signed as 5/9 JM. I would like to thank all CO’s for the caches I found, the locations I visited and for the fun I had today.
Today’s totals:
24 Finds (20 Groundspeak and 3 GCA)
3 DNF’s
After climbing the tree and making it to the cache holder, it was empty and I couldn't it anywhere on the ground. I did however have a spare container with me to replace it for CO. This did mean I needed to re-climb the tree but it was well worth it for another to be added to my account. TFTC
For those that like to know about some of the history of the area, next year will mark the 150th year of settlement in Walla Walla and the upcoming celebrations will be held on the 25-28 January 2019. All are welcome to attend. If you are looking for more information about the celebrations, please use the following link.

This is definitely a challenging series especially for geo hubby, considering his age (72) and having had both knees replaced. However, he used a TOTT to achieve the result needed here. Geo wife mainly acted as safety officer and sometimes scribe. All in all we were able to retrieve and sign 7 of the 9 caches in this series. That was certainly better than we hoped.
Thanks go to Joelisa for the series and we are giving a favourite point for each one.

7063 Located by baby&Mrs gopher in company with the SimpsonFamily15 at 1210. This was probably the easiest to grab so far. SL Tnx Joelisa
Found it! Thankyou for bringing us to this challenge. Picnic with Baby&MrsGopher soon.
Had my eye on this trail for a while .
T4.5 is a lot more hardcore than T5 and this series shows that.
Some of them I spotted easy, some I didn't.
I had lots of fun on everyone, and took lots of photos.
Some really tested me physically
Thanks Joelisa

Drove all the way from the other side of Melbourne to Shepparton (babysitting duties) with a ladder on the roof that sang to us the whole way. There is no way that we weren't going to attempt these whilst we were only a couple of hours away. Packed ropes as well as not sure what will be needed. Couldn't believe that we noticed this one on the approach. Interesting to retrieve given our method. Thanks for the cache.
We have had our eyes on this series for some time after checking them out a while back. I am not as nimble as I once was so we made sure we had a suitable TOTT on board to make life a little easier. This one was a quick and easy find and we were soon on or way to the next. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache(s) joelisa.
Who needs special tree climbing pants? Well me, but I was still getting through this series faster than expected given I wasn’t wearing them today! TFTC Joelisa
We tried this two separate ways today but fell short both times. Next time with some TOTTs I think we will do this pretty ok.
In the company of the The_Tritonz and Nawal, we made our way from Geelong to Wagga Wagga. We stopped periodically here and there grabbing caches along the way. There were trads, mysteries, multis and even tree climbs to contend with. Thanks to all of the CO's for their hard work. Special thanks to Chris for the tools provided and his specialist skill !! TFTC Joelisa
A geo trip was planned months ago after we got the green light for holidays and today we were off to explore some areas we hadn't been before. DAB, the Tritonz and myself (we were logging caches as The DNT) were in a convoy up the Hume and we broke up the 6 hour journey with a few finds along the way with the final destination today being Wagga Wagga. We had spotted this series and it was a must for us to complete with a new ladder purchased. The cache was spotted quickly but getting into position was the hardest part, and the hardest for the series. The 4WD became a second climbing tool and with DAB & I holding on tight, the geo monkey was up to make a find. Signed and returned as found.
**Thanks for this traditional cache and series Joelisa**

While staying in Wodonga for the weekend we made sure we took the opportunity to head north over the border to try our hand at this small tree climbing series with excellent DT combos.
With the ladder not being tall enough the only alternative was to use the 4WD and spare tyre on the roof to access the cache container this time. The geoclimber being short in stature really had to extend himself out only to find the cache missing. The bucket was empty unfortunately, so we have replaced the cache with a waterproof screw top container and a sheet for the log.
Thanks Joelisa for the placement.

5361. A long day out with Rapidlywild, FurfacesLL and Loci612.
I believe my colleagues have covered our adventure to a T.
So a big thank you to them and especially to the CO for their efforts and providing us with lots of entertainment.

A trip was planned for last weekend but the weather spoiled those plans, re-scheduled for today and what a lovely day it turned out to be. Not too hot, not too cold, just right for some monkeying around. Headed out just after 6.30am and returned around 12.30am collecting just over 60 caches on the trip more than originally planned. The touring party consisted of Boot65, Loci612, Rapidlywild and myself with all logs through the day being signed as B.F.L.R.
Well this one was in an interesting place and Rapidlywild did the honours at this one. Not a fan of heights it was a little slow going but climbed, signed and back down again on terrafirma to tell the tale. Well done facing those fears!
Thanks for the tree climb series Joelisa and thanks for a great day out Boot65, Loci612 and Rapidlywild.

Myself, Rapidlywild, FurfacesLL and Boot65 who was our chauffeur and brought the sturdy 4x4 Vehicle with a double ladder attached to it's roof made our way from Canberra to Walla Walla to tackle this impressive tree climbing series! I will give a favourite point to EVERY cache in this series as I love tree climbs and I have never been so challenged before by them while caching!
Ahh yes this one was interesting! Placed precariously over the road! Imagine the look on a muggles face if they had to drive straight underneath you while you were up signing the log!
Rapidlywild decided to give this one a crack and once the tool was deployed she was up and down in a flash with the log signed and all!
Thanks once again

A group of us in the ACT had been planning a Walla Walla trip to tackle the 4.5T series of caches for a little while now, we locked in last Saturday however weather and news was reporting "significant" rains so we postponed to this Saturday. After heading off nice and early, the four of us (Boot65, FurfacesLL #1, Loci612 and myself) set off for our long day of adventures. We had 9 caches in our initial target, came home with just over 60 finds after 17+ hours out and about. It was an amazing day challenging ourselves in many ways and hitting some awesome fun 4wd tracks under moonlight We signed all caches today as B.F.L.R. to save room in the logs. Picked up 3 D/T's for me and FurfacesLL claimed their 25,000th find Congrats ladies.

**This Cache:** Well it was my turn to head on up. Those who know me, know im terrified of heights so this was a big challenge for me..... Like many visitors before us, we took the direct approach and we were thankful that there was no traffic using this road at this time LOL I gritted my teeth and made a very slow ascent while those below me were giggling away. I managed to eventually get to the top, signed the log and made my ascent back down. Wow ok, just gotta slow the heart rate down before I pass out
Thanks to Boot65 for being our chauffeur today in the new 4wd beast, was super fun thanks also Loci and FFLL for the great day out and thanks for the cache of course Joelisa [^]

Happy teen was up for this one again, but didn't have to break out the ladder here, as his height was an advantage. With the right tool the cache was extracted.
Thanks Joelisa for placing the cache for us to find.

Greetings from the NSW central coast! Road trippin’ down to Violet Town and then onto Ballarat and Portarlington for a week visiting various family for Easter ..with some geocaching thrown in as always. This trip we have targeted a good selection of multis, unknowns, and trads to help us with a few challenges we are chasing down, plus we are also aiming for some more squares on our P81 including attempting our first D5/ T5. But we are off to a rough start with 0/2 (just DNFed #4.5 and #5) and now that it's almost dark we are just heading straight to Walla Walla now for a cracked puzzle cache and then heading to Wodonga for the night. Mrs novo spotted the cache as we pulled up. Our TOTT was not quite up to task but thanks to [The Green Lantern](https://coord.info/TB79T29) and some teamwork we kinda got there in the end lol. TFTC, Joelisa. We hope to be back some day with adequate daylight and no gale force winds!

Quickly spotted. Woohoo! half way to getting our names in the log . . . or not. Very happy this is a quiet road and the few who drove past must have thought we were the most boring human beings on earth and didn't give us a glance. Thank goodness because it was hard to not be out there with this cache. Manoeuvering, climbing, stretching and MrsG had the cache in her hand - yeah well, okay, MrG had done the hard yards and it was passed down and signed on the ground. TFTC Joelisa.
Each member of the FANTZ team possessed different skills. AngelG27 was the organiser, and had printouts for us all with all the info required for the caches we were hoping to get today. I had some climbing skills (but sloth pace was not the order of the day) and some puzzle solving skills. My excellent driving skills were not called upon, and when I mentioned that I'd won the Piston Cup seven years running (after Doc Hudson had that terrible crash) they didn't believe me. Hilarious puns are another of my specialties, and after each pun I sensed that the team had to work very hard to hide their mirth with pretend grimaces and groans.
Noikmeister climbed this one, and had trouble signing the log. The ink did not want to stick to the paper. In the end it's possible that the signature was more indentation than anything.

A mini posse comprising Fox in Jox, Noikmeister, TikvaNZ, ZQX and I headed south on a wet Saturday to grab these 9 tree climb caches and our Outdoor Day souvenir. By the time we arrived, the rain has ceased and the weather was much more favourable for our tree climbing experts. All 9 caches were found and signed successfully - although some took more work than others! We signed as FANTZ to shorten time up the tree. A great series to help with our DT grids thanks Joelisa!
Cache no 5 for the day and it was NM's turn to climb to find it at around 1025. This was the first cache that we needed to bring out the geotool for. It was not long enough to reach the cache directly, but with a bit of a shuffle along and another long reach, the cache was in hand.

Team FANTZ (Fox in Jox, AngelG27, Noikmeister, TikvaNZ & ZQX) undertook a road-trip from the ACT for the day to collect the series of nine tree climbs in Walla Walla and several puzzles and trads in and around Wagga Wagga. A fun and successful outing.
Fifth of the series and we were rocketing along. N's turn for collection. If I recall, the geotool was used, but only to get into the tree - there was still plenty of dancing along a limb to do! Throughout the series, I do recall seeing a few Noikmeister expressions of slight discomfort, as he wrapped himself around a limb and either shimmied up, or slid down. I also recall seeing TikvaNZ whincing once or twice during this entertainment (me too!). I think N is still in one piece! TFTC Joelisa

Being 6' 5" I and make it up into many tree that other need ladders for. Today we tried the ladder for this one, but it wasn't long enough and the tailgate of the car was in the way of us propping the ladder up higher. Needed a car with a boot, but I still think it would have been too short.
Thanks Joelisa

Today's caching mission with Fox in Jox, AngelG27, Noikmeister and ZQX had been in the planning for a while, with the aim to collect a bevy of high difficulty/terrain caches to fill some holes in our respective D/T grids. We left Canberra just after 0630, arriving in Walla Walla just after 1000. We had some rain on the way but all was clear by the time we started caching.

On the road with 88andy88 on a 3-week road trip from Melb to Surfers and back. Today is our last day and we're heading home.
We have had these on our to-do list since they were published, so decided to take a slight detour to have a go. Although 88andy88 did most of the climbing, I was proud to be in charge of TOTT duties and spotting and directing from terra firma (and the consequential sore neck!).
Thanks for an awesome series, Joelisa. Fav point heading your way

On the final day of our massive trek from Melbourne to Queensland and then back to Melbourne Via road and again we stopped to grab some interesting caches and some dates for our charts.....
This little series i have had my eye on for quite a while back in Melbourne and today we went out of our way on the return trip to attempt these....
Many of our Vic Cachers know me and my recent shoulder surgery to repair a serious shoulder injury from sport and 4 months down the track i am recovering and on the better side of healing so....why not push it to the max and climb some trees for some boxes of plastic.....so here we are:
Like the others so far this climb was a little challenging and like others have said the mind does play tricks on you but hey we still keep going...
Loved the climb and the views from up high are always awesome...
I love heights ....

Wow. I read the last log: it's as if my mind was read. What a mind game this is. The climb is relatively easy but the mind screams lots of 'what it' scenarios. It didn't look too high from the bottom but it's a different story when you're sitting on a couple of willowy branches! This one gets a fave point in case I can't do the next few,... Thanks Joelisa.
Found at 3:42 PM GAFF1.
Now that was a scary one. Not that impressed when you have to go out on those forked limbs. And then to come back again! Are these branches ok? Who last tested them for rot? Where is the certificate that says that they will not fall down when there is a weight on them - all of these things run through your head when you are testing each foot and hand hold.
Thanks Joelisa.

The boys were able to position the ladder at a very useful position for BettyBoo to make the climb this time. With lots of encouragement from the rest of us she successfully reached the cache and signing duties were carried out while she waited patiently. SL at 11.20am and another square in our grid coloured in. #3266 Moving right along now and feeling pleased with our progress so far. Thanks Joelisa
# 9865. On this last day of 2015 Harrowang, Robmc and I joined forces to go and attack some 4.5T caches over the border. We stopped for a new one at Huon Hill on the way and also gathered a few more in our travels. I am extremely happy as in the last 24 hours I have managed to add 5 smilies to my 81 squares and now I only have one left to colour in. So close.
Me me, they picked me. Before I knew it the ladder was in place and I was escorted over for the climb. Ooh, it seemed a long way up but in fact it was the easiest of the wholes series for us today. I hung around up the top while signing duties were completed below and it was actually quite pleasant up there. Now onto the next one.
Thanks Joelisa

We had looked at these cache in Walla Walla a few times, and with all of us (Harrowang, BettyBoo3747, and I) not having some terrain 4.5 caches in our matrix, we decided to take a trip up and see what we could do.
We also did a few caches that happened to be on our path up and back.
Who put this one over the road? Luckily we were off the main road at this stage.
We sent BB up this time, she did a great job (but I'm not sure she will do anymore!)
Thanks, Robmc.

I caught up with The Drovers while in the Wagga area and they mentioned they were heading out to complete this series of tree climbs so I decided that I would tag along and have some fun.
Thankfully we had the TOTT with us which made life a bit easier.
After parking nearby the cache was soon located and then retrieved.
Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

On a geocaching road trip with gwd.aussie that has brought us over the mountain. There is certainly plenty of caches to chose from but with our limited time we had our list of must do and anything else would be a bonus.
This series was on the list and although we could spot all the other (bar one) this cache was all we could reach with what we had come with.
All I can say Joelisa is thanks and will get them next time.

We went along and could spot all but one of the caches in this series from the ground. But only this one was within reach.
I went up on got the cache and D@geo went up to return it.

This one had me stumped as i was on the wrong side of the track woud you believe?! Once i realised it wasn't long before i had the cache in hand. A thrilling climb as I almost fell out of the tree.
Replaced Log book and put holes in carry container. Everything is dry and good to go again. Happy Caching!
Finishing off the last few caches that are still active in this series. I don't like heights which is why I love geocaching, because it helps me to conquer my fears a bit. Fantastic climbs. Love the effort you put in them Joelisa. Tftc
See our found log. Container is soaked and cracked. Email sent to CO and container re hid in a different spot to limit further water ingress
Last time we were through this way it was a bit wet to attempt some of the climbs and we ended up only picking one for a DT grid. Today we had a bit more time and being in the afternoon the grass and tree surfaces was dry. Some careful manoeuvres at some spots. The D 3 outer bucket was full of water with the cache half submerged. We wondered why the cache was not floating only to find a cracked lid and a cache full of water. The log was only partially damp so we could still just sign. We have emailed the CO and placed the cache in an easier position so they can dry it out and replace the lid (plus put some holes in the outer bucket). TFTC.
It was road trip time and three days traveling and caching was quickly planned. An early morning start and the first location was Mt Buller. From Mt Buller I headed to Bookham in NSW and stayed there the night before hitting the Endangered Species series of caches, starting early the next morning. Heading South West I stopped at Gundagai to visit a 'dog', continued through Walla Walla and Urana before crashing just out of Berrigan. The third day I continued west to Echuca then south through Bendigo and the final stretch for home.
The weather was good on day one but later that night it started to rain and continued for the next two days. Needless to say I did get quite wet on occasions, and some of the country roads I followed where no place for a 2WD, the Prado would slip and slide but luckily kept moving forward. By then end of the trip there was another 1800 km on the clock, 239 cache finds, 2 DNFs and 5 FTF's just to top it off. Thanks to all the CO's for the caches I found and the places they brought me to.
I do love a good tree climb and the D/T's for the caches are not that common so a visit to Walla Walla was a must do while on the road. I didn't know what to expect at each tree and each turned out to be a bit different to what I expected them to be. Not necessarily high but quite tricky and 'technical'. The difficulty was raised for me too as it was raining and getting dark when I made the climb here, and completely dark during the fourth tree I dared to climb.
This was to be the last tree climb for the day, now night. I skipped the #2.5 as it looked just a little too dangerous considering the weather conditions and the position of the cache. I didn't attempt #3.5 either as I was now just too wet and getting cold, and I couldn't lock onto a tree to spot the cache. There was a lot of tree hugging and monkey business going on as I steadily made my way up to where I could see the cache perched. The last few meters were tricky with arms and legs spread everywhere but I eventually could sit, with legs wrapped around the branch, and sign the log. Phew . . back down to the car and to change into some dry clothes.
A fav for me and thanks Joelisa. I'll be back to complete the series when the are all back up, and hopefully when the weather will be better.

Borrowed a bigger TOTT than the one we had in the geo-cruiser, and headed back to Walla Walla
to attempt the 4.5 Tree Climb Trail.
Geo-wife made the climb at each tree, due to geo-hubby's bad knee.
We managed to locate the 6 remaining caches, and it's a pity the others are out of action.
Many thanks for a challenging and enjoyable series, Joelisa.

We were on a 10 day caching and camping trip a.nd this series seemed like a must, Although I had a telescopic ladder on tour with us I managed to leave it at our camp in Wodonga so had to do them all the hard way, we started at #1 and worked our way through the list. This one was easily spotted but I didn't trust the long horizontal limbs on this gum.
Thanks for the challenge.

Having spent the week finding select caches, this was one series I was looking forward to visiting...and so stopped by here today on my way back home to Newcastle. Well retrieving this one brought a whole new meaning to the term áwkward'. As I was sitting next to the cache...feet dangling over the branch I was on...along came a farmer on a tractor! As he slowed down to look in the car, his sights soon turned to me...took one look...and just moved on. God knows what he was thinking!

We saw this one and parked the four wheel drive under to climb onto its roof basket and retrieve the container, unfortunately it was still a little bit out of reach. So, as it would happen, we had a ladder with us which we decided to use this time around. The ladder was leant against the back of the fourby and braced as team FF04's other teen climbed to the top.

With a ripper storm heading our way we weren't sure how we'd go getting through the climbs, but we managed to get them all.
We worked in reverse order so hardest to....easiest?? Haha.
Easier to spot, not retrieve! The Geokids were having a blast helping us spot them.

Spent a wonderful weekend caching with a wonderfully adventurous group of cachers from the area. Had an enjoyable time hiking, crawling, scrambling, jumping, getting cold and wet and warming up again. Enjoyed the caching experience this weekend, thanks to all the cachers who put in the effort to place all these wonderful caches out.
Trees + Caches + Great company = Happy Bexta. Well what can I say after spending an amazing day yesterday out at Mt Buffalo I didn't think that anything else could compare. I was wrong, different challenges on both days, but my excitement levels were high, who wouldn't be excited at the prospect of spending a day scaling a few trees? There were quite a few challenging trees but in the end we were successful and managed to retrieve all the caches and safely return each and every one. TFTC

#5297 Yep, the difficulty is certainly climbing as much as we are . Although Miss Scarlett thought that she could be pretty handy in the retrieval of this cache (with the aide of a car and an adult), she missed it by "that much!" . She was happy to have had a go so Skull Daddy then had the duty of scaling the tree & doing it the intended way, all the while the rest of us heard about his wrong choice of shoes. Nevertheless he scaled the tree and retrieved the cache container - all brand new so in excellent condition still. Our thanks to Joelisa for the challenging series and for the fun - it was a most enjoyable morning despite the heat. Cheers [^]

# 7297 Found with Fred6603 and lgoody on a tree climbing adventure afternoon.
When the emails came through they were very tempting and worth a trip.
lgoody was on a mission to find his 4,000th cache and this series just fitted perfectly.
The CO was contacted ands was happy to meet up for a laugh.
The first stop was a wakeup call to what we were in for today.
We had plans to share the climbing duties but Fred was capably able at this terrain.
All the current 8 caches were found and logged with just one causing some extra difficulty.
The CO is right, if you are not safe in this terrain then bring a friend who is. TN LN SL.
Thanks for the great adventure series and the catchup once again Joelisa,
