OCW PelDroedGwin and geodog Peppa Continuing our exploration of this lovely trail but in the car now as Peppas little legs are tired. We parked at the start of this section. Discovered OG trackable but didnt move it on as I had nothing to swap, Tftc
#5322 A bit of rest day on our Eyre Penisula holiday after a brutal trip on the high seas out to Neptune Island and back to do the shark dive tour. We did however managed a short walk along the coastline with the geohounds and flushed out this cache from its hidey location in the bushes. TFTC viper 231.
Not sure if my GPS was off but I looked on both sides of the track and couldnt see anything
A beautiful place to be brought to, thank you for the cache and the fascinating shark information!
Found while visiting Port Lincoln for the week. Thanks for the cache viper231!
Found while having a look around town and grabbing some caches as we go. Looks like there is a pot of gold on the buoy out there today. Quick find here too.

Nice nature focus and lesson! Out on trusty treadles exploring the trail and sights. Finally in Port Lincoln with time ahead to stop in this lovely well kept historic town. Day 16 in SA after numerous trips were sabotaged due to you know what and its a fab day. The Ikera- Flinders Ranges, Whyalla, Port Lincoln and a few in between caches are high on the list along with several other random caches so hoping to tick all boxes before heading back to home base. I’ve learnt theRE are plenty of quality SA caches - plenty to pique the curiosity and anticipation of another surprise or fun cache. TFTC AND THE FUN and the effort to contribute to this fave game.
Parked at the end of the limestone track and walked along the path for a quick find once at GZ

Staying at North Shields cp. Took a drive into Pt Lincoln. Great walk & view. Happy to find this one. Tftc
No visit to Port Lincoln could be complete without exploring the wharfs and marinas to look at the fishing fleets, and why not find any caches that are in the area. THanks for placing a cache here.
Thanks for making it easy, was bit disheartened yesterday not finding 3. Nice walk
Found it! A great walk around the coastline from an amazing lookout. Thanks!
We walked several kilometres of the Parnkalla trail around the Port Lincoln town, walking along the coastline. Found several different caches along the way. Interesting information on this one. TFTC
Loved the walk around to found this one, it took me a little bit to found but I got it! Haha I think gave an older couple a little freighted when I stood up from signing it as they didn’t see me
Great hiding spot! Sharon conquers wheres wolly again .... he’d better lift his game!
TFTC Happy caching!
TFTC Happy caching!
Well it’s 2021 and I have finally said good bye to a not so great 2020 and it was great to finally be able to have a reasonable holiday as I have not had a decent break since 2019.
Made to South Australia and finally crossing the boarder and then being greeted by a couple of very friendly SA police offices for which i had the official paper work to allow me to enter.
After making my way west along the Eyre Hwy I went as far as Penong and the Eyre Hwy which I have not travelled along since the late 70’s when I was on a holiday with my folks and this was the last holiday before I started full time work as a sparkie and finding a few caches as I go.
Geocaching when towing a van is not always easy and I have to be a bit selective on which ones I decide to try and find for safe parking purposes especially along busy highways.
So after leaving Coffin Bay my next destination is Port Lincoln which is down the bottom of Eyre Peninsular off the Flinders Hwy.
I’m hoping for better weather soon I don’t mind it being cool just not rain showers when you are out and about.
I left Coffin Bay early so I could get set up and then go out looking for little green dots on my map.
Made it out to Billy Lights Point and the walk around the point gave more great views of Port Lincoln on one side and the bay the other.
Another educational cache and I haven’t learnt this much so quickly in ages.
GPS was being happy but after searching in a few spots I soon came up with the cache.
Thanks viper231 TFTC.

On a road trip around the Mid North and Eyre Peninsula, geocaching as I go. Predominantly targeting old caches, solved mysteries and grabbing some interesting looking traditionals.

During our new years break, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I headed to the Eyre Peninsula to travel around the various coastal towns. We started the trip with Jeep trouble, but then continued in our alternative vehicle without 4WD to stick to the main tourist roads where possible. We travelled south-west to Tumby Bay and Port Lincoln via Whyalla, Cowell, Cleve, Arno Bay; west across to Coffin Bay; and then north-west to Streaky Bay and Ceduna via Elliston, and Venus Bay. We then headed back east staying in Kimba via Poochera, Wudinna, Lock, and Darke Peak.
Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I spent the day around Port Lincoln. We spent the morning seeing the town and marina, and then headed south travelling past Port Lincoln National Park to check out Whalers Way. It was still a little cold and nippy with the wind about, but otherwise a sunny day.
A nice walk and good coastal views. The geocache wasn't in the obvious logical spot, so we just spent way longer than we should have trying to find this one. After about 10 min, we finally made the cache find tucked away. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks viper231 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.
