Quick find with the help of my sister who's visiting from overseas. Off for a walk to Isle Park Twilight Markets. Tftc
Out on an afternoon's cyclocache ride. Oh my gosh, a scary cache! Thanks for the placement paddle chick & Sir Balec.
I thought it was hard and the clue was strange but read the comments then we had a chance
On a Week road trip to Nelson,Buller and Greymouth. lots of driving and walking, plus biking, lots of great caches many thank to all the CO"s - Bitsprayer
Took me quite a while to find this one. My GPS pointed me towards the back yard of the house but that could not be right. So I lingered around for a while, trying some locations while the GPS was settling. Well, actually it wasn't really. So eventually I took the advice from nzhunter: just start searching all possible locations within a few meters. From previous logs it was clear this one had a tendency to take a deep leave litter dive. So I started digging at various places, until I saw some stones at a promising location and from previous logs I knew that was jackpot. And indeed, soon enough I had the cache in hand. Although something about it made me put it down asap again Thanks for this one, fun & found!
Found at last after a fantastc lunch at Apple Shed, Mapua. And more so special as it is on my daughter's 30th birthday. Thsnks for the hint. TFTC.
Did not find today after a short look on the way back from another primary cache. Saw the rocks though! But man, beware of the sandflies ! They are evil ! Will be back.
Well that was a big one, glad they have not been that size at home. Andy made the find and passed over to me to extract and sign the log. tftc

found with kjj162. we have been here before looking for this one I m not sure if it was missing then or not but not willing to admit defeat at that point (i will usually make a few visits before logging a dnf) but after the co logged a replacement we decided to return with the confidence that it was there and sure enough the log was in our hands in no time and signed and returned. thanks for the sneaky cache
I’ve been keeping an eye on this one for a while, and thanks to the recent CO maintenance note I had the confidence to pop in for a quick search with the kids. Miss12 identified a likely search area, and squealed when she found it, lol. SL & tucked back into its hidey space. TFTC paddlechick. The kids enjoyed the playground too
Checked after recent DNF's, cache was still there but log missing, have replaced log
Found it after a LONG search! The GPS was no good so we systematically searched likely places, then did it again, and again. Coming back to a place we had found rocks, Mr NZH dug down deeper and voila. Finally! I think it must get buried deeper as people move leaf litter in their search. There was no log so have emailed the CO a photo. TFTC
Did not find but we looked for it in the night will check in the daylight tomorrow
Checked this morning, it was still there but well buried. Put a rock underneath it so it wont go so deep again, leaf litter on top
Many thanks to the CO for checking on this cache. Now that it was confirmed to be there, I headed over to see if I could remove the frown from my map.
I still looked at the obvious thing that fit the hint, but again, nothing. If it wasn't there, then it must be, yep, there. TFTC.

Adding my name to the DNF list. There was an obvious place where the cache should be, but that doesn't necessarily mean it had to be there.
Our very first geocache! Almost gave up, but it helped to scroll down through the activity log for hints. A bit further down they get quite specific with where to find it, if needed.
TFTC.

I have been here before with no luck, but thought I would try again. It wasn’t until I read a previous log that I thought ‘what if....?’, and there it was. Signed either ricnz or RP. TFTC Paddle chick and sir belac.
I didn't really spot anything in line with the hint, I did look in a spot that often gives joy, and yikes wasn't expecting that, pulled myself together and signed the log. TFTC
Tried this one when we first started caching and couldn't find it with all the leaves and with the recent maintenance, it was time to give it another go. I suggested to T we go give it another go, after the rugby of course. Being so close to home it was a quick walk down the road and back to watch the last of Bathurst.
Not an instant find here but got it in the end. Neat container! Thanks.

Find #290
Checked on cache, was well buried but still there. Should be a little easier to find now
Hint is rock but not a rock to be seen. Searched among piled pf leaves but no sign of a cache
Think we will need to go on a day where we have more time to wade through all the leaves!
We are about to move into level 2 and caching will be allowed from midnight tonight so I'm reactivating my caches. Happy and safe caching
New Zealand is under Level 4 lockdown because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
I am disabling all my caches for the meantime to remind people that we MUST break the chain of infection.
Covid-19 is now being spread within the community, person to person. We know that the virus will remain on surfaces like metal and plastic for up to 4 days.
We have only one chance to stop the Covid-19 virus spreading further. This is to BREAK the chain of infection by keeping each household separated completely. During this time each of us MUST keep isolated and only share with the people in our own household.
The best advice is to act as though you are infected... which you might be.
If you touch a cache container, you will leave viruses on the plastic, logbook and pen. Those will remain infectious for up to 4 days. Suppose some other person finds the cache tomorrow. They are likely to pick up those viruses and will get infected.
Playground equipment is out of bounds for exactly that reason- touching surfaces can spread infection.
Each of us has to do our bit to save lives. If the Covid-19 virus spreads, a lot of us will die. Maybe your grandmother, or my 9 year old neice who has who has an autoimmune disease
Stay home, stay safe, let's get to the other side of the pandemic before we go geocaching again.

This was one of those "I wonder if there is a cache nearby" moments and yep, 24m over there. We'd placed our order for Fish and Chips nearby and decided to walk around here rather than wait in the shop. I think we did well, both with dinner and this cache. What did fail was the pen to leave a suitable trail of ink in the form of my name on the log so I took a photo of the cache which I'll send to the COs to which I say thanks for the placing this as did bring some "excitement" on finding
I admit Olivia, it gave me a second of fright, but then also a smile and happy to find it.
Had the park on my own (glad, as I had to go in and out the bushes several times), cache was well hidden under a stone and the stone well hidden under leaves, so it took a bit.
But I found it, managed to get the log with tweezers, laughed, signed and replaced.

Nice quick find, although I had to come back later as a muggle was enjoying sitting nearby. Did some shopping, then all clear. TFTC
Hi Olivia
Thanks for hiding this cool Cache. We enjoyed finding it... that is one big bug

We searched a bit longer than needed and once the cache was in hand we thought you definitely wouldn’t want an infestation of these in your house. TFTC
This park has recently had a foot of mulch applied to all the gardens so suspect this cache is buried under it.
Today was our first day back in Nelson after a ten day tiki tour around the South Island. After supper, and having sat in the car for most of the day, I really felt we needed to get out and go for a walk. So we headed out. We were almost back home, and were passing this location, so decided to go see whether we could find this cache. We had come searching for this cache two years ago when we were in Nelson, but at that point were unable to find this cache. Today, being somewhat wiser in the ways of caching, we did eventually find it. Very cute cache container!!! This container was very well hidden and we have made sure it remains so. Unfortunately, we were not out to find any caches, and so we didn't have a writing utensil with us, and couldn't sign the log. I did take a photo of the cache, but in the next day or so, I will head back to sign the log. Thanks for the hide.
