Quick find on our way out of town. Stopped at the bakery for lunch and had a look around. *The generic bit for this trip*We are on now on our way south after heading north for warmer weather. From Cooktown back to Notth East Victoria, weaving inland and to the coast, caching as we go. No real plans, just taking each day as it comes and enjoying the adventure in our converted ambulance. Thanks to all COs for placing and maintaining caches for our enjoyment.
We are on a ten-day road trip from Sydney around the Central West. Were staying in Cowra but caching around Grenfell today. It was worth our while to come out to Thompsons Lame today for this thoughtful geocache. We found a cache guardian when we opened the box. SL TFTC Cheers Gaztek
On our travels we found ourselves in Grenfell and took the opportunity to grab a few caches, a quick find and a fun hide, thanks for placing it
Took a little something left a little something. This is not something one would normally do
A quick find here, cache is all goodHeaded over to the Capital GeoBash in Canberra, ACT with Freddo over 5 days, travelling through the central part of NSW before caching around the hinterlands. A nice few days over with great weather. Thanks for the cache
Quck find here. The trip bit.Easter geocaching festival of twenty twenty four. This time it is the turn of Oz Mega GeoBash MEGA event in the nation's capital. It is time for a road trip across country to Canberra in the Sporty Pajero Sports. Freddo and Gridge98 traveling from Adelaide via a strange inland route that takes in scenic rural locations, dusty roads, punctured tyres, overheating batteries, various tools of the trade, special campgrounds, and lots scope for many many geocaching finds. Along the way we saw running emus, jumping kangaroos, wandering deer, dead foxes, herds of wooly sheep and stray steers.Arriving in Canberra we met our colleagues e.gregory1, featherwaite, team walron, courtney rose, davidwazza, e_smilie, and georode, signing as ABP, plus a huge group of other like minded excited mega geocachers attending event after event, and more events.Day one. Adelaide to Broken HillDay two. Broken Hill to WellingtonDay three. Wellington to CowraDay four. Cowra to BathurstDay five. Bathurst to CanberraDay six. Canberra to CanberraDay seven. Canberra to QueenbeeyanDay eight. Canberra to AdelaideThe generic bit.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. I had a very small list for today long drive and I just happened to select this one as my LGA find. Everything was in order and the cache was signed and returned as found.
bunadoorian wanted to find this cache due to the large number of favourite points. It did not disappoint. What a great cache container. TFTC and for bringing us here Spock1967. Another favourite point from me.
A nice park and grab for those adventurous souls. This cache could easily be a different type. Thank you to the CO for providing this experience and TFTC.
Geohubby (GeoTigerAce) and I are headed off on a 4 week holiday from Brisbane heading to Canberra, Parkes, Katoomba, Sydney, Melbourne, Ballarat, Dubbo, and Coonabarabran as our main stops, with lots of side stops along the way planned. A much needed road trip to take in the sites and spend some time away in nature.Over the course of our 4 weeks I wanted to focus on Australia's 'oldest' caches, and caches of interest (e.g., iconic locations, interesting locations, lots of favourite points, and places I have never been) as well as hitting my next milestone (#600). It has been a wonderful trip and we have seen so much, and spent a lot of time caching and exploring little places of interest. Thanks to all of the cache owners for maintaining these caches and bringing us to beautiful places on our travels, and challenging us to keep on looking at the world just a little bit differently. Lots of memories have been made.Day 6: TripCache #27: Another day on the road and decided to stop here for a quick stretch. What a great cache! Quick find and explore, log signed and all in good order. TFTC.
On a road trip holiday with CaptainKirky traveling South and some parts in land from Brisbsne. On stage of the trip we are heading from Canberra to Parkes via Forbes show, and thought we would stop by a few places and grab a few caches. This find was awesome, and must say that along the way it was worth it stop by others as well.
Absolutely love this container great hide on an amazing part of the world I am currently on a road trip to Queensland from Victoria getting lga's on my trip thank you very much for the Hide.

This one definitely a favorite point. We turned up to the geocache, me knowing as soon as I seen it. I pointed to it and said that must be it while my friend thought it was real. I said it has no (hidden for spoilers) on it. Took a trackable. I had more fun looking through the cache at all the junk and blue thing in there (people who have been there will understand) this was a fun cache I read the note from the cache owner and I can say people did. Please leave the junk in there for the next person it’s funny as.
Thanks for placing this cache Spock1967

The find was very fun I hope I can do it again and I wish I could do more but it started to rain
Another cleaver cache, good stuff. Log signed and returned back just before the rain started to set in!.
Thanks Spock1967, found with Jimmytherat on Day 2 of our Silo Art NSW road trip. Nice little! Drive by cache.
Had a good idea on where to search when I arrived and bingo! Cache found. Grabbed the two TB’s and dropped one of my own.
Travelled over from New Zealand to do a two week roadtrip down to the Rutherglen Mega and back to Sydney. Thanks for the cache, Spock1967

A big day today - a visit to the dish, sitting in planes and helicopters at the Parkes aviation museum, lunch at the Elvis festival, a first find at a virtual in Forbes and beers in the services club in Young.
Spotted two TB’s and took another for a journey.
What an unexpected and most excellent cache. I use Cachly mostly, but jump to the GC app to locate the good caches, such as this.
We are heading south from Brisbane in 2023 and picking up as many new LGA’s as we can.
What a year Sandyofthesea and I have had. We kitted out the Prado and took off from Perth, Western Australia at the start of April 2022 to travel more of Australia using geocaching as a guide to see the sights. We started with the Nullabour, Eyre and York Peninsulas, the Riverlands, visited family in Victoria and then back in SA it got cold. Flinders and the Oodnadatta Track was amazing and we finally warmed up in Dalhousie Springs. The Alice beckoned and then a change of plan and we ended up tackling the Tanami Track to the Kimberley and Bungles Bungles. Territory Day in Darwin was unhinged - please try and do it! The Gulf, the coast and the car breaker ‘Old Tele Track’ to the top of Cape York. This is a must but it’s not easy! Eventually made it to Brisbane to get some fixes to the car….. let’s see where we end up.
Spock1967, I found Thompsons Lane today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

Returning from a trip to Mudgee, Mrwhiskers76 and I decided to stop for a cache after not having done any caching in quite a while. We read good things about this cache and gave it a crack.
Upon arrival we made our way to GZ and tried our luck with what caught our eyes. Being cautious of any lively residents, we rummaged through the contents of the container and of course there was a spidey hiding under the log book, that is now in the car !
After panicking for a moment we got the log signed and the spidey returned to his home. I grabbed three trackables that’ll be moved on very soon.
Thank you for a great cache, this one deserves a favourite point for sure !

After having not found a cache for 314 days I was pretty keen to end that caching drought by picking up a cache.
I was returning home after a holiday and decided to stop in to Grenfell for a look around as I hadn’t stopped off in town before having only driven straight past it last time.
After a check of the caching map, I had a suitable cache in mind to try and look for to end my caching drought. I pulled up at gz and was very impressed with the hide after spotting it!
What a cache to end the drought, log signed and a trackable picked up to move on, thanks for the cache!

Best cache we have ever found! Took a trackable and will move it closer to an airport…
Found -- 10:10 am -- Thanks for bringing us to this location and Thanks for the hunt *Spock1967*.
**Cache Condition:** Good and dry.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
**Trackables:** Dropped off trackables.
**The Cache**
Total perfection!!! Live spider included for effect. Only took 15 years for us to collect the mail we have a daughter with the same name as on the card in the cache.
I am impressed with this cache. A good hide and as soon as I saw it I knew exactly what I was looking for. With CIH we signed the log in either our names or our initials in some switcheroo form of LP, DJJ, ToC and then returned cache to its hide'y hole exactly as found.
**The Day**
I am surprised, I have not done and solid caching for over a year. It is so nice to be out and enjoying nature again.
OCW *Mr TOC*, *Little Panther* and *DustyJapserJet* on a much welcome and impromptu overnight run to somewhere unknown, well... ... I did consider a night in Grenfell if we could get a bed there. With nothing booked we threw some clothes in a bag, grabbed some trackables for distribution and were out the door quicker than a scared jack rabbit. Element of surprise Mr TOC, element of surprise. I'm sure he was surprised I moved so quick and left him spinning [:-D].
We found a room at the local motel, definitely a *Pokemon* players delight with something like four poke stops and two gyms that can be played all night long from the comfort of your bed. With a few extra steps to the fence-line there are about three more that can be played.
We went to see the Grenfell Silo Art which was stunning, and wanted to go to Harden to see their but didn't have time. Caches to maintain, find and the need to get home for work tonight.
Had the most brilliant time away - happy wifey.

**This Cache:**
With 33 FP's it was a no brainer to stop at this cache just off the road! I parked up right next to it, wasn't sure it I was looking at the cache already but it seemed plausible given the GPS was only saying a couple metres away! Opened it up and I was greeted with the logbook!
Awesome cache! Well done, thanks for your efforts!

**Today:**
Day 1 of my road trip heading towards Townsville in NQ!
Today I had an early work shift, and left just after lunchtime! Managed to squeeze 5 cache finds in today, didn't want to get any too close to home but got a few rural ones! Ended up driving as far as Albert, NSW, which had a nice campground to stay at. Off the highway meant it was a peaceful night with only a few other campers around! Cooked dinner in Forbes before the sun went down but squeezed in a little bit further to make the next couple of days more leisurely!

We are staying in Grefell for the night so we could get the caches in town. This is one we found. This cache is very out there for all to see. Well done. TFTC Spock1967
It was fortunate we didn’t have our granddaughter with us! She would have loved this hide, and we might have had trouble getting her away.
A quite audacious hide that we would have been reluctant to find in our early days caching.
Today we said farewell to Temora and moved on the short distance fo Grenfell. We picked up a few caches en route and arrived mid morning and set up in the donation camp at the Old Railway Station. A lovely setting with the restored station and a playground nearby. Only sharing it with one other! We then checked out the local area caching breaking it with lunch and a coffee at one of the local cafes. The scenery here with its rolling plains and hills is quite different to home. The storm clouds rolling in over the nearby mountains were spectacular.
As for the nearby silo art, amazing.
Thank you to the local cachers. A mixture of hides and a couple quite clever.

TFTC. We are slowly making our way to the Queensland Mega at Dayboro. From Temora we detoured to Grenfell for an overnighter (or maybe an extra day depending on the weather forecast). After making camp we ventured out to find some caches and to explore the area. We had a great couple of hours 1 DNF and 1 maybe later as well as 11 finds.
Took the Tb to move it on.

Excellent hide. I've always wanted to place one of theses, but feared the wrath of the Post Office, and of the police. Glad you figured out how to make it all legal, Spock1967!
Found with Just a cacher on a caching trip as wed passed by.
Thanks for the cache Spock1967.
Thanks for the cache Spock1967.
This would have made a good Letterbox cache. A definite favourite tick. TFTC Spock1967.
Well that was a surprise! I was sleeping whilst GLISS! moved us closer to our destination. I awoke to find us on a sweet country lane parked at the most adorable cache! As an extra bonus this cache unlocks for me one of the last three counties I need in NSW. So exciting! A great first cache on our adventure out west. Thanks for the cache!
TFTC great little stop on the way to grenfell. Kraki and David’s adventure visited with some TBs.
We looked for this cache today while travelling through with ilook4geo. There was no great views today due to the quite heavy smoke haze from the fires. The air smelled with all the smoke too. The cache was easily found and all was in good order. Thanks go to Spock1967 for placing and maintaining this cache for all to enjoy.
We had a great view of smoke today as we travelled along with goingplaces2. The bushfires have affected so much of the state. But we still found some caches and this was one of them. Log was signed, job done! TFTC.
Found by Aussie Train Driver 15/07/2019.
This was a quick stop to stretch the legs and clear the head on a day of driving across the NSW countryside. I saw something suspicious as soon as I pulled up and soon had my name in the log book. What a ripper cache, great work with designing and constructing this one. A favourite point for sure. TFTC.

We spent the day in Grenfell visiting family and doing some sight seeing. We grabbed a few caches while here and this was one of them. At GZ we found a well made cache.

GPS was leading me away but I tried the obvious spot and was successful very quickly - very nice. Picked up the TB to head on its way. Last one for today as bird banding beckons - TFTC
We were heading back from the QOGM zig bagging our way picking up caches along the way.
We aren't sure what happened here but the GPS told me to turn down the road the wrong way, realised it's mistake and told me to make a u-turn where ewe crossed the main road and pulled up near gz. I was pretty sure that I had spotted the cache hide but opened it cautiously to have a look. We checked out all the swag that was in the container and discovered a geocoin that was there and apparently logged as taken, but we will fix that up.
We added our name to the log book and returned everything as it was.
Many thanks Spock1967 for a great cache hide, it's efforts like this that has kept us interested for the last fifteen years and we are leaving it a well earned favourite point.

With a day free I decided to go for a drive to Grenfell and clean it out. This didn’t end up happening as some caches I couldn’t find and some are missing (according to past logs). About ½ of the caches I found today are in need of some urgent TLC. The list of issues includes: cracked containers, waterlogged/full logbooks, missing parts of field puzzles, incorrect coordinates and completely missing containers. I did try my best to help CO’s with these problems as much as possible but unfortunately, I didn’t have enough supplies with me for all of them. I hope the CO’s will continue maintaining these great hides, to stay alive for others to find in the future. Today was a great day full of creative hides, great locations, fun hikes and lots of laughs. TB visit on all found caches today and on some of the smaller log books/sheets I signed as 13/9 JM. Even though I was upset with the state of some of the caches around, I still would like to say thank you to all the CO’s for taking the time to place the caches I found and the fun I had while finding them today. Sorry about the generic logs. Only the more interesting hides and DNF’s will get an extended logs due to the amount of caches I found today.
Another unique cache. TFTC

I had a geocoin in my possession that wanted to hang out in caches with lots of favourite points. this cache seem to fit the bill nicely. after I signed the log I went over to take a photo for the coins page and startled a hare which took off in a hurry flashing his white cottontail as he went. tftc here Spock1967
Well it looked a bit awkward with the van attached, but this is cute and I logged with a big smile. TFTC
Narrandera - Grenfell
The co-ords were good here but just did not expect the cache to be where it was.
We have now set up camp at the old railway station. After a lunch break we did a tiki tour of the town, finding some very cleverly hidden caches in some great location. The town was very hot today.
Thanks for placing this cache Spock1967
