Took me a few minutes to spot the cache, but luckily this is a very secluded spot, despite the nearby houses. TFTC
This was my backup cache for today just in case I couldn't find the one I set out for. Obviously, I couldn't so this cache as been found and signed off. Interesting that this track wasn't bridged across the stream to join the track on the other side. tftc
Spotted a typical container lying empty and open on the path. Found the log a couple of metres further on. Put the two together and placed back where I thought it may have come from (but could be wrong). Thanks for the cache.
Thanks
This took so long to find turns out we were looking in the wrong spot but managed to find it.
Great find

Great find
8.40am. Wrong side of the stream at first before finding the way to GZ. Even then it took a while as it was not where I expected it to be. But I got there. Dropped a TB.
Thank you. David.
Thank you. David.
Great find, nice and easy with my six year old girl who actually lead me to it.... her first time caching!!!!
The Seagnoid, Toby Zara and I are in Nelson for another geotrip weekend. Its a great day today and The Rail Trail around Richmond is on The Seagnoids radar. So time to get Jack and Jill out and start peddling.
Oh but we have to cross the road by which route - under or over. Lets take this one but the clearance is very low so I walked Jill across. The Seagnoid as usual has a head start and is already across the creek and found this one as I arrive. Thankfully the water level is below his gummies so alls well here. Now to recross the road and continue on our way. Cheers

Taybeedragon and I are on a geotrip to celebrate me getting my calender up to four per day, with a trip here to do the four challenge caches. That was yesterday - in the rain. Today is an wonderful sunny day, so we are doing the other thing I have wanted to do for a while: cycle the cycle trail.
Definately an easier way to get to this cache than parking on the motorway or whatever that bit of road is called. However even with a bike I had to cross the road. Although the method I used allowed me to take my time and yet also ignore all the traffic coming towards me. Alas, crossing the road was not enough - I also had to cross the stream. I came prepared for rain today, so was wearing gumboots. I zoomed across the road and was across the stream and up the bank before the dragon arrived - she decided she needed to be shorter so dismounted before walking across the road. An easy find, another gumboot wetting and we were off again!

Timed things nicely on the cycle trail but realised I could have come at this from multiple angles, all quiet at GZ but the after work road noise. All in good order, TFTC
Down for a daffodil show in Hope, had time to find some caches near our accommodation this evening. Placed a new log book in this cache. Thanks Sidewaze for the cache
Flew in early morning to surprise mum on her 70th birthday. Had some time to kill before wandering around to my sisters work to borrow her car.....what better to do than go for a wee wander and find a Cache or two......
I approached this from a fun angle as I walked from the airport to Monaco.....went under to get to the correct side of the motorway then crossed the feeble stream and made my way to gz. Nice! Then backtracked and bee lined it to my sisters work & car.....onwards!

I am still amazed at how many parks and paths that are around that I have no idea exist. Here is another one - one day when I have more time I might look into where this one goes to. The cache was fairly exposed so I gathered a bit more camo and tried to cover it a bit more - still very obvious where it is but less obvious than it was. Thanks Sidewaze for the cache
We were staying in a nearby establishment for two nights and took the opportunity to grab a cache or two within walking distance. This one popped up after we had managed to cross under the road instead of over. BUT then how to get to it? Not being locals we did not know how to tackle the problem safely. It was not until we headed further that the penny dropped. Thanks Sidewaze for this cache.
Today we wanted to add a few caches to the numbers so we focused on low d/t caches.
Happy to grab this cache as one of them.
TFTC.

After ages I get the chance to go back to New Zealand and geocaching have to be part of it. After cold wet irish weather was beautiful to have nice sunny warm day so I took a bike and went for cycling around the ocean. During the way there was a cache so I stopped and went for searching. Soon I spotted something and there it was. Thank you for the cache.

We still had a bit of trouble finding it before rustynz eventually came up with the goods ! Phew !!!!
Thanks Sidewaze !

Our adventure started with a local event arranged by Rustynz and a group of us are collecting as many caches in the nelson area as possible starting with this one and ending who knows where and by whom
our group is the Gorbynator, Suppernanny and the Rustynz.

This was a lot of fun trying to get to, we walked under the bridge but GPS pointed to the other side of the stream. So supernanny and rusty gingerly stepped across without getting their feet wet but I found an easier way and met them at GZ. Rebel waited for the cache to be signed. I had just walked past the cache then rusty spotted it, how blind am I? Lol. Getting quite dark now but we're still carrying on regardless.
We came via the path at the airport, and followed the GPS under the road, then with some following of the GPS arrow, the decision was made that we were on the wrong side of the stream. Not wanting to miss out on a find, I found a way to cross without getting my feet wet, but gorby found a better way (now I understand the reference to what side of the fence you are on!). So with rebel98, supernanny and gorby the cache was soon found, the camo reapplied, and we were on our way, and we did "NOT CROSS THE ROAD"
Thanks for the hide

Found the namesake but not the cache. Maybe not there or maybe we weren't looking in the right place.
Been to a lot of places I've never been today. Thanks a bunch for bringing me to another.
Quick find. Make sure it is covered well so that it can't be seen from all angles. Thanks for the cache
Strolled along for this one after "Dogs Allowed?". Wasnt sure of path to start with but soon found. Easy find & always conscious of the neighbours. TFTC
Flew into Nelson and had time to kill. Went under the underpass, jumped over the river. Found it, TFTC!
#10166. I had a lunch-time talk to go to near the Nayland Road overbridge, so this cache was a good option for the trip back. Looking for the cache gave me an excuse to have a break on the ride home (the strong SW was hard to bike into). TFTC.
I had been to this particular cache a once before and gave up, today I was determine to find it cheers got it.Tftc sideways
I didn't even think about crossing the road. I did think briefly about a stream crossing to get to the cache faster, but I didn't want wet sox.
Took us a while to find this one but once we read the clues it was a quick find.
Love the clues on caches like these, makes you thing and ups the fun factor. Thanks
Back on the bike again this afternoon and it was time to head north from Richmond up the Coastal Cycleway seeking solved puzzle caches to sign off my unfound list. After getting to the airport and discovering that cycles are not permitted on the airport perimeter walkway I reluctantly decided to return to Richmond and salve my disappointment by finding Trads instead. This was a quick find once I found the appropriate access to get across the road. Thanks for the cache.
A trip home this weekend, yay, and flights booked from Nelson, yay again.
The last few (lots) of times I've been here it's been cache chasing or event attending so quite the novelty to be only passing through with just a small amount of time to spend looking for hidden treasure. There was quite a fire raging in the hills above the airport later today and some poor householders escaped with just their worn clothes. I eventually got to the airport on time to find I was delayed for a half hour so could have done a few more, but had to settle for a nice amount of 5 for the visit.
With the car parked for the weekend stay and the check in completed it transpired I had some time on my hands to kill. Checking nearby and achievable caches I spotted this one, though I was on the wrong side of the wet and with 2kgs of figs in a tub, sweating in my backpack. Yes, seriously. Decided to head along the walkway and crossed the stream with only one wet foot in each direction (still adds up to two wet feet though) Followed the G P S safely under the low bridge and got to G Z with no problems.
Cache found and pop star T B removed. I subsequently met with Kiwi Nomad at the airport and gave him the trackable to take to Oz Mega where he was headed
T F T C and time to head back ready for my flight

Have whizzed past very close to this cache many times so about time I made the effort to find access to it and turn it into a smile. Google satellite view helped out here and I found a close by park on a quiet (traffic-wise) dead end street, so had just a short walk from the car. The path seemed very close to the motorway and the cars were speeding disconcertingly close by, what a racket.
Not many places to hide a small container so with good co-ordinates, didn't take long to track down. After I replaced the cache and set off back to the car, I remembered I had several TBs to off load, so had to return and popped the biggest one in. Thanks for day #322 of my streak.

Nice quick find here - enjoying caching on holiday in the area with Just-Lookin
Last time I was in the area I couldn't get it as GPS wanted me to park on the highway!
Had another great day with some very good finds.

I had just driven up from Christchurch in a relocation rental car and wanted to find a few caches before I dropped it off at the airport.
After finding Close to home just around the corner I decided to look for more nearby caches before continuing on to Nelson.

Found with Ducksarse Dave while on an after dinner ride celebrating the long awaited arrival of summer. .
Crossed 'under' the road and over the creek and through the bush to a find. Lovely day to play. Thanks for the find.
So many times we've been on Whakatu Drive or Nayland Road when this has popped up on the "Nearby's". Finally, after we'd been out placing a cache and doing some maintenance on others, we tracked this one down. Found ourselves on the wrong side of the creek at one stage but an easy crossing. Thanks Sidewaze!
