The other house that Ian built is no longer here. Kinda voids the whole reason for the cache. Cache has been removed.
Looks likethe house has been replaced but the cache was a quick park & grab. Was with Crystal Fairy as we headed up to Palmerston North for a weekends caching. TFTC
Due to the postponement of the Auckland Mega, Buttels and the Crystal half decided to use the dates planned for the event to do some caching between Wellington and Palmy. Quick and easy find, but very dangerous spot to pull off and back on again. The postbox has been removed and replaced with a standard one. Thanks for the cache
I think the letterbox here may have been changed at some stage. Didnt see one like the one at the other cache. Tftc.
I was supposed to be heading to the Mega. Instead I’m heading home. On my way from Feilding to Wellington via Palmy today. Letterbox caches are rare enough to require finding. A quick park and grab.

Up from Dunedin on a roadie from Auckland to Christchurch to get a good number of North Island PWGT caches and some others.
Detoured past here to grab this to add to my letterbox finds. Quickly found in the dark. Tftc

As others have said, what an awesome letterbox this is! While signing the log we had a friendly pig on the property wander over and say hello.

Off on another adventure with Team BOP to the Manawatu on a long weekend Great weather and company And lots of different types of caches Day two Using this template but will try to add add individual notes as we go Thanks to all the COs for providing the caches and fun Teally love these mailboxes
Team BOP back together after a 3 month hiatus - this time hitting the Manawatu with our sights set on some Labs, some geo-art & everything else that crosses our path
We’ve signed our logs as Team BOP to save time and log space and have thoroughly enjoyed the journey so far. Pleasantly surprised that very little maintenance has been required and that most caches have been found quickly & without fuss.
While I am cut&pasting these logs using the Cachly ‘text template’ I do genuinely appreciate the work put into these caches, particularly some of the puzzles. Cheers and TFTC

What to do on a long weekend. Organise a trip to the mighty Manawatu So here we are. Team BoP on a mission. Cheers for bringing me here. Day two of a great trip.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these cache. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

On my way south to Palmerston North for a long weekend, today is Thursday and I go home Monday. I aim to meet up with a long-time mate who shifted to PN in 2014 then several events and adventures have been organised by Manawatu cachers to replace the 2020 MEGA that never happened due to Covid-19. Much to look forward to!!
I had spied these letterbox caches before my trip south, I look out for these types of caches, they're not that frequent and I was attracted by the quantity of FP's. So here I am, and I took some fotos to admire later when home. (Won't post them here though). Love the work gone on in these letterboxes. Fantastic. Thanks for bringing me here. A FP from me as well for the way you did the description on the page.

Quick find today. Needed a cache for a dot day and it also doubled as a missing Wonder of the World. Beautiful little letterbox. Tftc.
On my way back to Wellington from Wanganui and made the detour here for a visit. Had to read the description a few times before I got my head around it, a quick find after that. TFTC
After working in Whanganui for two weeks it was time to head home to Gisborne. What better way to break up the journey then collect some smiley faces on the way. Excited to collect three letterboxes in a row! Awesome little houses. A favourite from us.
Driving back from a few we got in Fielding. Managed a quick stop on the way. Nice house. TFTC
#1142. I was on a mission over the last few days to get a bunch of virtuals, letterbox hybrids, challenge caches and any traditionals that happened to get in the way during my trip to Wellington. This cache right here was one such letterbox hybrid. Like the last one, it was an easy find and a great letterbox! Cheers!
This is another log of another find that
despite the muggles that whizz at 100k

And another VERY FINE house it also is too!

Day three of my road trip from Auckland to Nelson in my newly acquired convertible cachemobile. Finding a few caches along the way. Nice one! Always cool to find a letterbox cache and the cool letterbox was an added bonus. TFTC, Biggles.
I must say, Ian built quite an impressive house! spacenarwhale and I had a good look as the traffic whizzed by, then set about signing the log. She also stamped herself, so had a Seagnoid on her forehead for the rest of the afternoon. We added a few items of swag, then returned the container as found.
Thank you for the cache.
Thank you for the cache.
Both the houses that Ian build are great. Fav points for both Thanks CO for the caches.

I was in the area and hadn't done a few of the caches along here so why not stop here today and get a letterbox cache traffic was crazy busy but I got the cache signed the log and went on my way once more now onto the next cache further along the road. Thank you for placing a letterbox cache here and it all helps towards my points as this one has many favorite points.

On our way from Paraparaumu to Turangi to stay with our friends in their bach there we took the scenic route and what a marvellous way it was too. This time we were prepared and went straight to the cache. Loved this idea. TFTC
Here is another smile
as I write this log
that confirms the find
of the cache that’s hidden
behind the pole
in front of the fence
that’s near the drive
that’s beside the house
that Ian built!
I've been meaning to drive by and check this one out for far too long now, ever since I found the other similar one down the road.
Seeing that I had taken half a day off work to come up to Palmy to get a towbar fitted on my car, I figured that it would be a great opportunity to see if I could find a few caches nearer the centre of Palmy whilst I'm waiting for the work to be carried out.it this time.
Once the work had been completed I had a couple of hours to try a bit further afield before meeting up with friends for the evening. So a nice drive on a pleasant afternoon meant I was finally able to go for this one during daylight hours rather than in the dark like my go at the other one. This meant I was able to admire the letterbox itself in greater detail. Very nice work indeed.
It was a quick find at GZ. The log was signed and replaced as found and then it was back to the car to move on to my next find.
Thanks for bringing me here, and for the cache.

I love these mailboxes.. so illegal in Denmark, but down here the law is fortunately differet, so you get to see so many different kinds of mailboxes.

Day Seven of a 12 day, 3000 km road trip around the North Island with the primary objectives being the Taupo Ultra Marathon on the 13th and my first ever caching Mega event in Wellington on the weekend of 20th & 21st. With thousands of possibilities for caches to look for on the way, I had to be very selective and decided to concentrate on special types, solved puzzles, ones that would fill missing spots in my statistics grids and those with good numbers of favourite points, plus maybe a few extras that were close by those.
Today while the other half went shopping in town, I did a tour of the roads around Palmerston North. The weather was great again, with no sign of any rain to interfere with caching activities.
This one was definitely on the list to do, being a different type and with good numbers of favourite points. Once at GZ, I made sure to read the description properly this time and the cache container was then soon located, the log signed and then replaced safe and secure for the next finder. TFTC

On a long trip down to the mega with Lis's crew. So for me it good for numbers and favorites caches. With several stops and a lot of caches and several souvenirs up for grabs the trip was the perfect opportunity to get my numbers up and get some challenges that I have qualified for. Another nice letterbox. Thanks.
Another great letterbox creation. We didn't try to invade the owners privacy this time. I try to sign my logs in red pen so a red stamp is great to see. Thanks for your caches to highlight these lovely letterboxes
Stopped off since I was on a maintenance run and comeing past. I had Taybeedragon with me - she loved the stamp!
The Seagnoid and I are on a cache maintenance mission to Palmerston North today. With maintenance in the bag and plenty of time to spare, its time to explore this area, with a few caches in the mix - of course!
The Seagnoid had to stop here -to show me Ians houses. Snagged and tagged and stamped my notebook with a Seagnoid Stamp. Fun, Now on to another house that Ian built. Cheers

Love this house that Ian built as well. Favourite given. Signed as Team REL and TFTC.
No problem with finding this cache as it was located just where the description said it was. There was a lovely house in the neighbourhood. The caching visitors' book was signed while the visitors were standing in the rain. All is good with the container and contents. Thanks to Seagnoid for this letter box cache from a couple of Aussies passing through.
Must be mass production its nearly identical to the other one.....great placement thanks
Ian's for lots of time to make these obviously - not like the co who is too busy hiding caches. Thanks for the placement TheSeagnoid
Yay my stamp fits in the log book! Had my special stamp made up a couple of days before we came down here from the Naki. Thanks for making up letterbox caches!
I got very cheap flights to Wellington and back for the weekend, what a perfect excuse to come caching and find some that have been sitting on my to do list, and some more! A quick assault on the local letterboxes TFTC!!
I love letterboxes! Such a great 'house'. Really creative - thanks for setting this up. TFTC
#848 Just started to pay a bit more of an interest in letterboxing, so these two were on the agenda for today. Had some time to kill so headed out with JimmyNZ and DangerSAM in tow. Added a couple of stamps to my new letterboxing notebook. Very cool letterbox actual nearby and good parking available on this speedy road!. Cache nice and dry and in good order. Thanks Seagnoid.
We were having a very relaxed kind of day with not a lot going on. Inevitably it lead to a discussion on geocaching and then to Project GC. Gr33nslime has a thing for letterboxes at the moment, trying to get a gem out of them. So with nothing else to do this afternoon we banged DangerSAM into his DangerCapsule and boosted out to Milson Line on the other side of pamly. Gr33nslime nav'd and the cache was easy to spot. Also plenty of parking which is very important given how fast the muggles whiz past here. Great little cache.
Out with D6NZ to walk the sledge track today. First things first though, a few caches. Thought we would target the letter box caches this time. A few novelty postal receptors in the area and all easy access.
Thanks for the hide.
Thanks for the hide.
The plan for today is to grab a couple letter box caches south of Fielding and one North of Ashhurst and one more in Palmerston North before Heading off to walk the Sledge track on this find sunny day
The Cache was quick and easy to find not far form a cool letter box

That is absolutely gorgeous. Took some photos but then that would spoil the surprise for others. It might be the other house but its the first of the twin set for us. Loved it. TFTC #9557
Very very cool. Oops we weren't concentrating and accidentally opened the wrong box. Guess what was inside . A great place for a cache. Thanks . .
Let the Mega adventure begin! After spending the night in Fielding I spent the morning in Manawatu. I love the letter box near this geocache. A favorite point from me.
Logged with GCDroid. Couldn't not come and see if this one was built in the same fashion as the first and I was not dissapointed. Thanks for another easily found cache. Traffic quite busy along here today.
Another creative letterbox and another quick cache find, spotted a TB but left it there for someone else to move on. Now to get back on the road and find a place to stay tonight. TFTC!!
I had to drive from Hamilton to Palmeston North today for work. Being that it was a long drive and I left late in the afternoon I decided to limit my Geocaching stops to the drive by variety. I took the route suggested by Google Maps which took me a different way than previous trips south which did mean I was able to grab a few extra’s. I had eyed this Letterbox Geocache and its compatriot down the road before I left due to being reasonably rare. Ian's house is pretty impressive and it looks like a labour of love. I dropped off a TB.
Vistra and I headed down to Manawatu as the KAS trail has been bugging me in its incomplete form, as we both needed numbers for personal goals it seemed like a good opportunity. Thanks to the cache owners for all the caches and the variety, over 2 days I found over 200 caches, so thank you for placing and maintaining them.
Most were quick easy finds, although there were some very clever ones and some well thought out. Vistra already had this one, so it was nice to mark it off as well. TFTC

After having found "the house that Ian built" with StefTheVet we came to see the other house that Ian built... This letterbox was a another quick find with StefTheVet on a rainy afternoon on our way through the Manawatu. We liked the beautiful little houses as well as the funny poems that led us to the cache- so we say thanks a lot for showing and TFTC, and here is a fav point for both letterbox-caches
Quick find while the house owner is watering the garden. Cool house letterbox thanks for bringing us here tftc
Visited the first house that Ian built...would've been rude if I didn't also stop to visit here as well. Love the letterboxes, a nice change from the norm. TFTC

Another creative letterbox and another straightforward find make for a good caching experience Cache and contents are in great condition. Thanks for the smiley!
Found it with Team FIN [janahola, kapeka, laalaa & temyllyl]
We had fun with caching few weeks here in New Zealand. Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was pretty good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and really scenary country!

Fifth day on our geo-roadtrip in New Zealand, and caching our way towards south. Logged using our group nickname FIN with janahola, laalaa and kapeka. Driving to south and heading to Christchurch Mega event. Today we headed to Wellington to catch a ferry tomorrow. Tooking some 'detours' via caches of course.
On a geoholiday road tripping to Christchurch MEGA and around beautiful New Zealand. Our four people group (temyllyl, laalaa, kapeka and myself) from Finland used group tag FIN to log the caches.
Welcome to MEGA Finland in 5-7 august 2016!
Today we drove from Whanganui to Wellington and stopped to some caches on the way. This was fast find. Nice house. TFTC!

These letter boxes must have taken a bit of time and effort for Ian to build. A quick find, signed the log, TNLN. Liked the rhyme and the other letter box that Ian built. Gets a FP, thanks for the placement the Seagnoid.
#6731. Came by Milson Line this Saturday morning to admire Ian’s other house. The place was all quiet at this time. It was a quick find. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log. Thanks for the cache. (#4 of 144 @ 08:27)
