No luck with this one. GPS wouldn't settle down ... so I checked a pretty wide area. Used my phone camera, got as low and in as far as I could go ... but came up empty handed.
Old biddy coming out of the building next door wasn't too impressed by my presence.
Will try again next time I'm headed down this way.

Spent a while but did not find . Suspect if spent more time crawling it is there.
#2418 Taking a break from the drive home, I managed the right angle and spotted the cache. Repositioned myself for the retrieval. Thanks for the cache RiverRuners.
#472 After camping up in Kangaroo Valley for the weekend it was time for Turtle284 and I to head home. Given the landslides on the mountains our regular ride home was met with a long detour. That gave us the opportunity to pick up a fair few caches we hadn’t been passed before, so we weren’t at a total loss.
This was stop four, and one we were keen to give a good look over given a trail of mixed finds and dnfs. However, before I even had a chance to have a good luck, Turtle’s geo senses had him right where he needed to be and soon had the cache in hand. Whilst I let the geo dogs stretch their legs he signed and replaced and we moved onto the next. Thanks for the hide here RiverRuners

Did not find. Searched everywhere underneath but couldn’t find cache. Did however find two caches at the next stop ‘Nerriga Ned’. Thought someone might have moved it?
Maybe I was looking in the wrong place but I’m pretty flexible and had a good crawl around. Maybe next time
Cute little church. Kneeled, searched and didn't find. Used phone camera and that didn't help either. Always a next time!

DNF, there were a few people watching so we didn't want to crawl too far under the church.. Will try again on the way back to the coast!
Found tyftc. this trip for july school holidays NSW south coast in and around Nowra, where my great uncle Dave lived at Culburra for many years. Find #2061
**This Cache:**
Wasn't too sure about finding this one with two prolific geocachers DNF'ing it recently..... but decided to give it my best shot!
It was obvious where the cache should be hidden, it was just a matter of checking thoroughly until I hit gold! Used my iPhone camera to my advantage, lied down on the ground, and slowly hunted. The cache was soon found, in a fairly obvious spot after all! It was in perfect condition too
Thanks RiverRunners!

**Today:**
Went for a drive along country roads grabbing a few caches along the way, managed to pick up 18 finds for the day
Started in Canberra and headed through Bungendore - Tarago - Oallen - Nerriga - Tianjara and finished up with lunch in Nowra. Didn't have time for much more though, so only a single find in Nowra before heading a different way home via Kangaroo Valley and the Southern Highlands! About 8.5 hours all up, most of which was driving so only time for the caches I did along the way!
Thanks to all the CO's

Collected a handful of caches between Nowra and Goulburn. It was nice to spend time outdoors despite the light showers throughout the day. Thanks to all Cache Owners for the contributions to this recreational activity.
Found after stopping at the pub for lunch on the way to the coast plenty of army reserve helping out here the fire must have come very close to this church the local RFS and townspeople clearly did a mighty job. Tftc

Found with cullum68 on a few days away caching in Tumut and Cooma. Thanks for the cache
Contrary to instuctions I did bump my head near the front door! Anyway, after a fair search I came up empty handed here this morning.
On the 1st Aquilus1 and I were supposed to be first day of a three day adventure going deep into the Heart Of Darkness.... all the way through NSW to Bogan Shire to claim a multitude of counties... but (and there is usually a but) unfortunately I no longer had three days available, just two. So, last minute change of plans was for us go to the coast and go north, and see how we went. I even solved the only puzzle on the road before leaving.
So.... it ended up being a great loop, clearing out the road from Bungendore to Nerriga and going on to claim about a dozen shires. Clearing out an area is always slow going, but we were methodical... No Cache Left Behind as dubya would have said, despite the constant rain.... at least after Nerriga it was more a trip to claim counties than to clean out the map.
Late on the 1st we remembered that we should eat, probably before everything closes... luckily we found a Thai place in Berry that grumpily let us in while staring at the clock.... no mind! The food was great. Frantic internet searching looking for a motel then ensued while waiting for our dinner... all was well, we had fine lodgings awaiting us in Kiama.
On the 2nd the rain was looking like it was going to set in for the day as well, but we soon realised it was the fog that was going to be our nemesis.... it was unbelievable and downright scary... glad I wasn't driving! But, in the pea-souper, we somehow missed our turn to The Shire and ended up near Appin, no mind, we can continue in this direction.
Not sure I can even remember all the councils we passed through and grabbed a cache or two in, but here goes:
Queanbeyan-Palerang,
Goulburn-Mulwaree
Shoalhaven
Jervis Bay
Kiama
Shellharbour
Wollongong
Wollondilly
Campbelltown
Camden
Liverpool
Fairfield
Canterbury-Bankstown
Cumberland
Strathfield
Canada Bay
Burwood
Inner West
Sydney
Woollahra
Waverley
Randwick
Bayside
Georges River
Sutherland Shire
Wingecarribee
Found waaaay in the open, we returned it to its proper place

With GreyHams we had planned to head out for a three day trip into NSW for some counties, all the way to Bogan Shire! We had 14 counties on the route but a change of plans meant only the two days were available so plan B had us heading towards the coast and up towards Sydney.
All a bit of a last minute change but all good, GreyHams had a plan! Off we set, we had 5 counties on the list and would see how many more we had the time for. The new route had us driving up towards Bungendore to Tarago and then across towards Nerriga to Jervis Bay. A good trail of caches and we searched for them all, a few DNF's but mostly a successful trip through with a variety of caches found and some really great locations visited.
The rain set in about Nerriga, light and steady, and we both ended up more than a little damp at times, super fun when looking for a cache in the wet bushes! Mostly we cleared a nice path along the way with a few caches down some side tracks, a few puddles to play with along them and the only Mystery along the way... Well thanks to GreyHams for knitting that one out!
Stopped in Berry for a nice Thai dinner and then on to Kiama where we stopped for the night.
Woke to more rain but continued on North stopping at each county along the way for a cache and anything else interesting. Thankfully the rain did end up clearing... in its place there was the thickest of fog to navigate through, no worries about that on the Motorway with the traffic and almost no visibility!
Slightly turned about in the fog we did end up off track but worked out well in the end with a new course set and off to conquer the counties along the way into and around Sydney. A surprising 25 counties visited in the end, much more than expected but happy with the result and a good couple of days away to do it in. Thanks to all the CO's for your caches, apologies for the generic log, any additional cache information has been added to the end of this log.
Easy enough find... well it was out in the open on the ground! Replaced back in a likely spot.

Tftc. After seeing the recent DNF we were undecided about having a look for this one. Found on the ground way under the building, so after a scramble and retrieve, we signed the log and replaced where we thought it should be.
There was nothing here. We went far beyond the rating of this cache hoping some cache creeping might have put this further in. There are a bunch of really hard hides too and we checked there. Might have missed it but searching everywhere I could.
#4646 3rd for today
A last minute trip out to coast with CBRChic. I was sitting at home after breakfast thinking: where would I like to go caching today: answer: the coast. So I called CC to see if she was keen and she was so off we went. Time was very limited so we restricted our searches to just a couple of spots: Nerriga, Tianjara and Calalla Beach area. We aimed to be back in CBR by 7pm, but that was a forlorn hope and it was more like 8pm. Anyway, it was a fine day for caching and we almost completed the "Power to Calalla" trail, which was just lovely. All in all a great day.
Good to cross this former DNF off my naughty list.
Thanks to the COs: RiverRuners

Said no to a possible kayaking/geocaching with friends this weekend due to asthma and needing to see how it was affecting me. Steroids were kicking in and beginning to feel good again. At the garden centre with hubby when I get a call from StangeTrousers – “want a quick trip down the coast to get a few caches.? “ A little sea air would be good. “Yes Please.” Warned ST that we would need to take it easy and I would try not to become violent with roide rage on the trip (Joke). Got home in time to put the batteries into the Garmin and be ready for the ST to arrive in the geo mobile and the adventure to begin. We left close to lunch time and the day was sunny with not too much wind – perfect for caching especially after the cold days in the last week.
We picked up a few caches on the way down to the Calalla “Power to Calalla” power trail. Loved the earth cache Tianjara Falls. When we reached Calalla Beach close to 3:00 with a quick grab of a late lunch before hitting the trail. Nothing like hearing the waves at the beach.
Here we go again another discovery and place that caching has led me to. The wetlands and walk are worth a visit. Beautiful butterflies, flowers, a crab and no snake. Time was limited so we only managed mainly those on the trail before it was time to head home. The evening was finished with a meal cooked by my geo hubby for ST and I and the perfect way to finish of a great day.
This one was a lot of fun on the way down to the coast.
Thanks RiversRuners for giving me a reason to visit this place.

#8688 - 16:10; I was heading to Bomaderry for a convention and having allowed plenty of time, decided to cache along the back road through Bungendore, Tarago and Nerriga. A successful run and managed to collect all but one of the caches attempted along the way. Too many muggles close to GZ for the first cacfhe enroute through Nerriga, but no problems here. Wandered over to GZ and after a short search, spotted the cache and managed a discrete retrieval and replacement. TFTC RiverRuners
Did not find. Also not looked too well, because of broken beer bottles underneath the church. Lovely little church though
Awesome! Gorgeous little trackable inside and some super friendly locals who knew what we were doing. We had a really good chat to them and took the trackable
Heading out to the Budawangs for the weekend we did a bit of late night caching along the way. The nearby pub was its usual busy establishment but thankfully we were far enough removed to make this one a nice easy find.
Thanks
Thanks

I used a torch and mirror, got down low, but after much searching a DNF. I doubt this is only a two star difficulty (the number of DNFs indicate that; of those that bothered to log them).
Love it, I'm finding a cache at a church while my wife is performing a marriage just down the road. TFTC JenneG & Budgy
Tried everything, even took the mat out of the car to lie on but still have to register a DNF. Kutgw
Heading to Windellama & Tarago to do some Waymarking I stopped here for a break. My Garmin bounced all over the place so was of no use & not having any caching instinct and logic, all the places I checked were wrong. I also noticed that when kneeling down I tended to look over the top of my spectacles & as I can't see much without them, nooks & crannies were a blur. Where were J& J when you need them? I also stopped here on the return but way too hot with the Sun in the western sky. Bless you.
Our GPS decided to go kind of crazy while we were here and had us wandering around in circles. In the end we decided to ignore it and search a few places using caching instinct and logic. This held us in good stead and the cache was soon in hand. Thanks to RiverRuners for placing this cache.
Really should have paid more attention to the clue as of course I banged my head… not once but twice! (actually third head injury for the day after also coming into contact with barbed wire up the road). After reading a few more logs and calling a PAF before I fell unconscious, realised I could have avoided the evil handrail as I donned a glove and made a blind grab among spider webs in one of the obvious spots indicated by a bouncing arrow.
TFTC,
In the area caching with The Hancock Clan (who were seeking to increase the number of Scenic caches they have found), Brewmaker, Tronador and Nana nel for the weekend. We made our base at Stewarts Crossing and enjoyed getting around from there.
Visited a group of trackables and left one to move on with others.
A quick find by Brew at this location.

Our third visit here and nice to return when there isn't a cake fair in the nearby hall or dozens of muggles around making it impossible to search. Today the coast was clear and Brewmaker quickly made the find. TFTC

Found it with The Hancock Clan, Wazza9, Nana Nel & Tronador while camping at Stewart's Crossing and grabbing some caches with interesting views in the area.
On our way home back to Sydney, we grabbed the couple around Nerriga. No one at the church today so we all got down on our knees to pray. I checked one corner while the others checked other places, and I soon spied a well-hidden container in the dark. Good hide! Signed, replaced and I dropped of a TB pray tell!
I was hoping to hand over the Bandaged Bear to one of our crew, but no one managed anything silly. Not even bumping our heads! TFTC.

After spending a great weekend at Stewarts Crossing with The Hancock Clan, Tronador, Brewmaker & Wazza9, doing some local geocachers, on way home still picking up a few more. A quick find after calling into the local establishment. Thanks to Riveruners
We spent the time circling the church whilst Brewmaker found us the cache. Nice location and a great town.
ACTchil and I took the day off to spend the weekend at Currarong and grab some caches on the way as well. We had just cleaned up Tarago and decided to grab a couple here in Nerriga. We got to gz and looked everywhere in all the obvious places without any luck, nearly wrote it off, then I decided to read some previous logs and moved to the front and yep there it was. I even took a look at the plaque. As we started walking back to the car we saw a coffee van set up and perfect, nice coffee too. tftc RiverRuners
went for a long weekend at Currarong near Jervis Bay with Darzee Di and we got some caches along the way. this was a hard one but after a while looking Darzee Di had the cache in hand. tftc RiverRuners
I stopped by here on a geo country roadtrip out to Goulburn,Crookwell,Laggan, then down to Gunning where I stayed the night then cached there and Dalton the next morning, then back up the freeway towards home via Nerriga again.
This was my first find on the trip,It was early morning and raining when I stopped by here,a nice change after the heat lately, the old church provided alot of cover for me but it was very dark under there, after "alot" of shuffling I finally noticed the cache,it blends in well there.
Signed the log, thought about how stupid I am sometimes then off to the next cache !
Thanks RiverRuners for the cache

Found on our trip to Currarong. After arriving in Nerriga, we parked at the church and walked over to GZ, where it took a few minutes to find the cache. After crawling around for a bit, the cache was found in a relatively easy spot - nicely hidden. Great little church - it's interesting that a nearby plaque is dedicated to the resealing of the road in 2010! TNLNSL. TFTC RiverRuners!

I found this cache while heading down to Mollymook for an early Christmas celebration with the family, a journey which took me to places where I haven't previously sought out geocaches. The authorities have done a good job with the road - there was the time when to head to the northern part of Morton National Park to go bushwalking put a severe strain on vehicle and passengers! This cache took a while to locate - my GPS had it about 8m away at the back of the church. Thank you RiverRuners for this cache.
Found with The Matetrix on a bit of a road/camping/hiking trip. GPSr bouncing around, read something though that helped pinpoint GZ. TNLNSL TFTC
Came back through here today and found the hall being used by locals for a RFS workshop. Being so cold they were inside with the doors closed and I went straight to the stash. Thanks for the cache RiverRunners.
The weekend had arrived so fitzy_1965 and I decided to head off on a coastal geomission to nab a whole bunch of caches-the drawcard being going for the wander to nab the Abrahams Bosom Reserve series and whatever else we could grab!
First cache of the trip for us We got on our hands and knees praying we'd make a quick find but not quite. After a bit of hunting under and around down one end, the gods were finally with fitzy and he made the find. No chance of hitting your head at that spot!
Thanks for the hide, RiverRuners

11072. Found during a weekend run down to the coast with specimenX.
I have been planning on doing a coast run for a while, and in particular the "Abrahams Bosom" Reserve looked like a fantastic walk waiting to be done. So with a plan hatched with specimenX we headed off early this morning down the Kings Hwy and Nerriga Rd towards Jervis Bay. This was the first stop for the day. Luckily there were next to no muggles around this morning so we did a thorough seach of the likely hidey holes and eventually we came up with the goods - happy about that ! Log signed, cache returned, and we were off to the next one.
Thanks RiverRuners !! Nice little town here !

Intended to look for this one on my return from Captains Flat but there was a religious event on so I drove down to the cemetery & met three locals, no bull.
At last after many tries the cache came to hand with the help of a geofriend. Happy to have it. TFTC

RiverRuners I found your cache The Good Shepherd on 9/01/2016, 10:43 AM. This is my find #1659 and find #8 today. Took some time to locate but no muggles around. Thanks for the cache! TNSLLN
We had camped on a Stewards crossing from the Nerriga direction - couldn't manage to cross the river as it was 1.2 meters of water on the road, we would have preferred the other side. On tour way back home to Sydney we stopped here and while Hagar crawled around on the ground, Helga visited the nearby ladies room. Cache was found and signed!
First of many caches on a weekend where the aim was to log my 5000th cache. Took awhile to find it as we were looking in the wrong corner. In the end we found it on the ground, tucked it back up in a slightly less obvious spot. TFTC
The wind blew it out from under where it was hiding and I found it in the middle of the lawn.
I signed the log and put it somewhere safe and logical.

Found in the second place I looked, which was lucky as the container is well camo'd.
Nice little spot, thanks.

A nice easy cache to get started for todays adventure. Have been down this road 3 times now! Thanks RRs.
The third church and second good shepherd I've been to today. This find was much better than the funeral I attended. Had a beer at the pub as well.
