Tassie Trip Day 97 - Well it Christmas and today we decided that it would be a better day to collect those caches in the main part of Hobart as the muggle factor would be greatly reduced and make searching for those horrible urban caches a little more relaxing and hopefully collect that find, however it was not as successful as it could have been.
This was a great place to see those wonderful murals however the prize eluded us after a very extensive search it still was not forthcoming for us.
Thanks NewTownKnights for showing us this place but its a DNF for us.

Found with Possumcrazy & Hulioxxx on geodaughter's 17 th birthdays. TFTC TNLNSL. Visited 2 x TB's.
This is my first cache in Tasmania and I really like it! When I approached the area, I expected it to be even sneakier, but with a sharp eye I detected it quickly. I will leave a favourite point behind, not only for the cache itself, but also for the location [^]. Now there is a bright yellow smile on my map here too. Thanks
Found it yesterday but some persistent muggles making use of the facilities prevented me from retrieving it until today. However, I have actually been searching for this one on and off for the last couple of years.
A couple of recent logs led me to realise I had seen something like this before and it was the work of a minute to find it yesterday.
It's hard now to see how I missed it all those other times but it truly does look like a part of the landscape.

Seen one of these before so luckily I didn't need to hunt and scratch around too suspiciously during the morning rush. Very cute laneway. TFTC
Out on a cold morning to get a few new caches which have gone down since our last visit to Tas, took a few minutes dodging muggles.TFTC

Stopped here near the end of our day. Once in the lane, sat down and had a look around. Spotted the cache right away, and waited for a muggle free moment to grab and sign. TFTC
This is my last full day in Tasmania, I am flying to Sydney tomorrow. I will be attending the MEGA out that way. I am here visiting Australia from the state of Minnesota in the U.S. and have enjoyed every day of the month and a half spent exploring this beautiful continent! You cache added to that fun today. Thanks so much for placing it. Cache and log is in great shape.
Discovering a city by geocache, it's the only way to go! We'd just come down from Mt Stuart and were looking for the next part of Hobart to discover and we headed over this way. When I saw the name of the cache I thought "that one's for us!". Found parking nearby and serendipitously, placed us in an area full of food outlets as it was dinner time for the team. But off to the cache first. Found the laneway and started having lots of little ah ha moments. So clever. Having found a cache in a similar Melbourne graffiti laneway we thought we'd do ok here. And there it was, in plain site. Excellent - favourite point material for both the location and the style of hide. Great work NewTownKnights.
I started looking and had actually touched the cache without knowing what it was! It wasn't until ziggiau showed me that I realised.
The early bird always catches the worm. Only had a 1 minute muggles wait then cache in hand. TFTC
Absolutely bucketing down rain, so when I couldn't find it in the 3 seconds I dashed down the lane I grabbed a bite to eat at a nearby restaurant and waited for the rain to subside. It didn't quite do that, but it was not as heavy when I left and I managed a find in 30 or so seconds. Many possible places, and a very fun mural. Still a surprising amount of people wandering through in the wet weather. Tftc!
After a 15 min wait for someone to eat there take-away pizza! Cache in hand and log signed! Experience played a part! Tftc! Pizza time!
Came to get some takeaway and spotted this cache. Wow the murals are amazing. Luckily the rain meant the muggles were head down and I managed a quick grab. Had to out wait a group of muggles in order to put it back but managed a discrete return. TFTC New Town Knights.
Spotted it earlier today, but no chance of a subtle retrieval.
Came back after dark and only needed to dodge one muggle!
Great cache and location - thanks!

First cache for this Tassie trip. I'd sorted the local caches by favourite points, and this cache was one of the top caches. It didn't disappoint. While I'd seen this type of hide many times, it still took me a little while to spot the cache. A previous log was very helpful. TFTC
Very cute little laneway and fantastic food all around. Thanks for the cache, NewTownKnights.
Found quickly with no muggles around. Must have picked the right time of day. TFTC
I saw cache and sat patiently for a two second window between muggles. Phew! That was intense!
Loved, Loved, Loved this. The challenge of the hunt and the muggle concentration. We have done two Knights caches and both great. Fav from us.
Thanks Knights another great effort.

This was good! After searching and searching we were about to give up. And just as we got up to leave something caught my eye! And yipee! Cache signed and logged!

TFTH. Very clever and nice hide. Can't say anymore, or I could give it away.
Owner might like to tidy up the logs. They are looking a bit tatty.

Tftc looked at grabbing this a few times but not being local its taken us a while on how to park our car which often has a camper trailer on. Today it was quiet. I spotted it quickly but sat back and watched the kids struggle before the caught on. Tftc a great location.
I had arrived in Tasmania late in the afternoon for a couple of days work and had dinner in North Hobart near where I was staying. While waiting for my food to arrive I was studying my GPS and saw that this cache was near by...so after I finished my meal I went hunting.
Initially I was distracted by the warning about the cables and started looking in the rather obvious... and completely wrong...place. Once I realised the error of my ways, I turned to look elsewhere...and spotted the cache immediately. To be honest though, as I own a cache that uses the same container, they are a little more obvious to me than they are to many others.
Thanks to the NewTowmKnights for putting this clever little cache here in this very interesting location.

Tftc, in Hobart for a few days. We were recommended dinner at the nearby Pancho Villa. After dinner checked for caches and saw this one almost next door. Sat on the nearby bench to read the cache details and immediately spotted the cache. A quick sign while the muggle wife took photos of the murals.
First find of a very quick weekend away in Hobart! Staying nearby here, can definitely recommend Born in Brunswick cafe! Tftc.
Out and about today so decided to cache along the way.
Had a bit of trouble with the phone tracking. But sat back and low and behold I see what is not seen.
Great cache location

Very hot day at 32 degrees in Hobart!!!! Ye gads!!! Time for a quick find after a nice coffee at Room for a Pony. TFTC
It is officially the first day of the **Festival of the Fungus** and as we acclimatise ourselves after leaving the sweltering heat of 35 degrees in sunny QLD and prepare for a week long stay in much much colder climes. It got as low as 10 degrees this afternoon atop Mt Wellington - what a difference! Is this really summer???? LadySim and I were joined on our sojourn by the team seffnjarah.
Staying in nearby Lefroy St, we came up here for dinner. Well we couldn't just pass this cache could we!. A clear hide.

My wife and I had the pleasure of travelling from Brisbane to visit Hobart and surrounds with Swellerfungus and LadySim to celebrate **Swestivus**, a week long Festival of the Fungus commemorating 50 years of Swellerfungus inhabiting the planet. Rounding out our first day in Hobart we went for a walk to find somewhere for dinner, and what do you know a cache along the way to be found! Three of us spotted this one quite quickly but LadySim took a while for the penny to drop. TFTC
A beautiful small street needs an awesome cache!
Luckily we found similar caches so it was nearly a fast find.
Thanks for showing us this place!

Found after a birthday dinner with my parents and a few friends. It took us a while but we found it in the end. Very clever hide, TFTC.
YEH! #500
Sitting on a nearby bench I gradually made sense of the description, its post script and the hint to then make an easy and quick find.
Lucky no muggle difficulties. Will give this one a favorite for boldness!

I had borrowed a bike from a friend so that I could have a look around Hobart and grab a few caches on the way.
The bike has a limited range of gears which made getting to the GZ a tad challenging but I got there. A quick find TFTC.

Took us a minute or two, but we got there in the end. TNLN, TFTC, FP for the excellent camo.
Took us a little while, and had to pause and admire the paintings on and off to avoid Muggle interest, but eventually located it. Very clever!
TNLNSL. TFTC.
Great! Took us a bit of time. I like to sit and think, scope and avoid drawing attention to myself... but alas the seats were wet. So many muggles... wow I looked suspicious!
Great little hide in a gorgeous spot. Found after a tasty breakfast nearby. tftc
Thanks for bringing me to this laneway Such awesome artwork and a nicely hidden cache. Spent ages looking at the little details in the mural. Gets a favourite from me.
Had a lovely meal nearby in the company of some fine mates., so siezed the opportunity to hunt for this one afterwards. The lane was muggle-free, just a bit of drizzle to contend with, so a reasonably quick find shared with GRAHAMEK, while previous finder AlbyDangles spectated.
Thanks for the cache, its a beauty.

Got busted by a fellow cacher, who was lovely enough to give us a hint (thanks buddy!!) we we had a great time none the less!!
Very nicely done. The GOSr insisted it was on the other side of the lane, but we persevered. Thanks for the cache.
Nice one, really good effort took us a while to figure it out.

Have looked for this one a few times and it has always been busy.
Tonight I didn't even look-spotted the hide straight away when walking past, decided to do a quick catch and release.

Found this one a couple of days ago with Willbert7074 while killing some time. Love this type of cache, completely out there for the world to see but muggles just walk on by! tftc
Decided to grab a quick cache while waiting for the kids to finish scouts. Nice container and hide. Tftc
Very tricky and clever hidden in plain sight. Found with some Muggle friends on their first try at geocahing. Thanks. Great fun
Out for our first dinner here in Hobart and wandered down this lane to check out the murals. We decided to get pizza nearby (great decision) and whilst we were eating I had a sneaky look to see what was around! Second time today we ate meters away from a cache!
After dinner, we headed down and had a look here, a touch there. Then my boyfriend goes 'it's not that is it?' It was! He has now found both caches in Tassie and I've found 0! But thanks for the great cache in a beautiful little laneway!

Found while on holidays in Tasmania!
This ended up being a lot further away than we thought it was which meant a long bike ride from Moonah, but it was well worth the effort!
Very clever hide and a great location!

Travelling around Australia and spending a few months in Tasmania.
The GeoCruiser had to go in for a service today so instead of twiddling his thumbs in the waiting room Mr Felix headed out to cache!
Nice location. definitely worthy of a geocache.

This is right outside the doorway of the apartment we are staying in. I have been admiring the beautiful artwork every time I walked past, without realising there was a cache here. I even took a photo of part of it for an Eventzee scavenger hunt! Happy now to have found it. Muggle Hubby and I were both very impressed.
Really liked this one. The door and post boxes particularly were brilliant. Took a while to find the cache and couldn't believe I hadn't spotted it before. Thanks NewTownKnights.
Wow. You can add another favourite point to your collection for this one, both for the smile of wonder that I had on my face as all the elements of the murals gradually emerged, and for the simplicity of the hide that somehow remained oh-so-elusive for so long! We peered and poked and prodded and pondered, until finally, sitting down opposite each other, we looked about us almost in despair of ever finding it - and there it was. Practically smacking ourselves in the head, we signed happily, took a few more photographs of this wonderful spot, and departed, beaming. TFTC, NewTownKnights. =^.^=
Caching around Tasmania. Thanks for the fun, puzzles and hides. All logs marked with a "Circled GB". I searched but didn't find so I sat on the bench and it was staring back at me.
