This cache was destroyed in the January bushfires which extensively ravaged the south coast region. The infrastructure upon which the cache depended was also totally destroyed and no decision has yet been made to rebuild it. So a decision whether to replace this cache will not be made in the foreseeable future.
queenofscots & bobstaf have been geocaching & sightseeing for the past 2 1/2 weeks with over 30 other cachers from USA, canada & puerto rico....... we left auckland on 11/8 aboard the celebrity solstice......cruised around new zealand and over to tasmania, finally arriving in sydney, australia, ......
now it's time for the two of us to say goodbye to our friends as we continue to explore southeast australia .......so we pick up our rental car at the sydney airport as our adventure continues .....driving on the opposite side of the highway will add to the thrill......while we enjoy our final week at a time share as we can explore the beaches & 'bush' before returning to virginia
look right....KEEP LEFT....it's my job to make certain so that we don't craash...... & we now have 'sim' cards in our smart phones so that we can be 'smart' enough to find some geocaches along the way......sooooo off we go, hoping to see some kangaroo and more.......TCTF, queenie
spent several hours exploring the trails at the botanical garden near our resort......... had a 'stand off' with a grey kangaroo (he watched us as we watched him), but got some interesting photos.....and i still really hate the flies

Queenofscots and I are touring Australia enjoying the sights and finding a few caches. Like the high quality of containers here in Australia.
Having a great time.

Meadering through the gardens on a quick visit we came close to this one but were on the wrong path. Hubby realised it was on the next track over and we found the gate qnd ventured down the closed track. Rebels we are! Wasn't long until the container was in hand but whoops no pen. Ingenuit, a stick and some dirt plus a quick photo came to the rescue. Thanks for this one. Enjoyed the wallabies near by too.
Found on day 7 of Fergzters holiday which took us from Ballarat to OzGeomuster at the Gong. Now we are on day 2 of our travel southwards to home. What a great little find this garden was. Great necessary and a group of caches. A great way to spend an hour or two. The youngest Fergzter made the find here today. He was a little confused by the container but when I explained the cache name to him it all made sense. TFTC readtherocks.
Cache was found out in the open and the logbook was wet. Signed dsd or Darksidedan
Caches and sauce ?? [:o]
Not a combination I usually indulge in,

Came here this morning for a wander around the Gardens and find the caches herein, most were easy finds with the odd one a bit harder.

We had noticed this batch of caches in an enticing location that involved the type of geo-hike we enjoy. We were certainly not disappointed, and we also had the added bonus of being able to do some excellent birding at the same time, and so many thanks to the CO for having laid the trail that gave us a great morning out! We had fun making our way to this cache from the last one, especially at the point where a tree had come down across the footpath. On arriving at Ground Zero the cache was quickly found. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
Found at 12:23:00 PM.
Staying at Batehaven for a few days and decided to go for a wander through the Euorobodalla Botanic gardens. We had a very enjoyable time wandering the paths in the gardens with the bonus of geocaches to add further interest.
Thanks to readtherocks.

These are beautiful gardens. I haven't visited them for a while so was happy to have this series to explore them again. Tftc.
Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Gardens. Great location to walk and relax in the bush. Enjoying nature. With some caches to go. Thank you to readtherocks.
Great day out with the family! Kids loved the playground and spotting all the wildlife. The adults enjoyed the strawberries in the picnic. So many great walks to enjoy as a family, we ended up spending most of the day here. TFTC
7yo Geokid made the find, he was very excited.

I haven't seen a cache done quite like that before... very glad for a quick find because I was walking around the gardens with non-caching friends, so didn't want to hold them up for too long. They were interested in the novel container. TFTC.
Over from Canberra with fitzy_1965 for a weekend south coast caching run
So much better being on the coast with it's sparkling ocean and cool breezes than boiling hot Canberra! And lovely to cool down after a hot day of caching than with an icy cold beer at the campsite!
fitzy saw the gate to this one, so through we went for the short wander along to make the easy find. Looks like a small animal has had a nibble of the nozzle lol
Thanks for hide, readtherocks

15,346. Found during a meander around the south coast with specimenX on a hot hot weekend.
A last minute plan was hatched to spend the weekend away from the Canberra mega-heat and put up with the coast heat with specimenX. This was the next stop along the highway. Heading into the Botanical Gardens for a caching walk we stopped here for the next find. A nice quick find which was good amongst the mossies !! Love the container ! Signed the log, replaced the cache, and headed off to the next one.
Thanks readtherocks !!

After a bit of cross country we were on the right track near GZ.
With the GPS swinging around wildly we let our geo senses do the work which led us straight to the wrong place.
Gave them a reboot and then soon found the saucy little hide.

Found with Shelley0 on our great week in and around BB. Fishing, swimming, golfing, rockhopping, and generally touring around this great part of the country. So, so jealous.
Like a few others, we looked everywhere but had no luck.
Thanks anyway RTR

Because of the previous DNFs I only had a quick look about here. I also didn't spot a cache. Then I called it a day with the caches in the garden, because my GPS didn't have a map of the paths and it was frustrating navigating with fences and the like. The alternative was to bush bash and I wouldn't do that to the gardens.
Came with a previous finder who showed us where he found it but it was not there. Hunted around a bit in case it was moved but no luck today.
I think we went the wrong way to get this, we went direct from Billy The Cache, and not down the steep bit but contouring across. As the geokids surmised, this wasn't bush bashing it was jungle bashing. As we closed in we realised we were way to high so we had to head downhill. It was then we found a bower bird display, it was amazing the array of blue objects the bird had collected and set out.
The GPSr couldnt settle down so it was a good 10 minutes of ferreting around at GZ before we called it a day

We've had a relaxing morning but decided to head out for a short caching run round town this afternoon.
Well, we messed this up a bit. Didn't actually read the cache notes which tell you when this place is actually opened, so we rocked up on Monday afternoon. Lucky for us the gates weren't locked, so we went for a walk in the park and found all 7 caches within the boundary of the botanical gardens. We missed the one at the water storage dam as a bloke came up to us in the car as we were driving up to it to tell us he was about to lock the highway gates. It could have been a miserable night stuck in the car if we couldn't get out!
Mr SKI was a bit disappointed there was no pie to go with the sauce.
Straightforward find in a logical spot.

I have my own cache like this. It's called dead horse. I thought it was funny . Tftc of course a favourite is being awarded.
Gronk and I definitely came the awkward way to the cache... but then again, I think that is our style.
Cheers

Walked along the creek until having to cross over before it got too deep. I love walking through these gardens. Nice a peaceful. Coords were off all day around here, but hints and expanding the search area soon found the cache. Log a little damp, but able to sign. Tftc!!!
After some bush bashing that was surely not required I soon had cache in hand. TFTC.
Took the scenic route from the previous cache & after getting rid of my hitchhiking leech spent a bit of time pondering the problem. Why not? Looked & soon signing log. Good hide & cache in good condition. Kutgw

Thanks to my family who came geocaching with me (reluctantly). We had a fun little adventure and found the geocache. Left a few little lady bugs and a travel bug for the next lucky geocacher. Thanks
MRS guio got the clue, personally I couldn't see it.
Good cache name.
Enjoying the walk immensely.

A caching day out from the ACT to find a few caches in the bay and this series looked like a great place to start.
Gee the GPS has a real hard time amongst tall trees and locations like this, so after a bit of wandering found. Tftc.

Another one done. Woo Hoo! I love the challenge of the geocache hunt - read the notes, decipher the cache requirements, and go searching for the hide. This is an amazing world-wide game of hide and seek. I love it! I also enjoy caching with my family, and meeting fellow cachers. It really is a small world when I read over cache logs. **Thanks go to readtherocks** for placing this cache and maintaining it. It's a great contribution to the Geocaching community and much appreciated.
I enjoyed finding this one at 1:39:34 PM with Jackson Lightning and geo-family. Although I too had coordinates 16m away from actual GZ.
TFTC! Cheers. *Jump Pilot*

Thanks. There is a little hole in the container letting in moisture. A few leaches in the creek bed!
The rain had cleared so decided to come out the the dam and gardens to stretch our legs and pick up a few caches. This took a bit of a search but found 15m from my GPS GZ.
Thanks readtherocks for placing & maintaining the cache for us to find.

Although it's not the first time we've found one of these, the location here was 100% better on all fronts as our last was outside a busy Macdonalds. A magical walk made all the more enjoyable by the smileys.
We have visited the dam and the beautiful botanic garden during our nice weekend away in Batemans bay.

No thanks, but I did find the cache after looking in what might be considered the obvious spot....
Looked both sides of creek, boys got hungry so we went for lunch before they found it.
Visiting the Eurobodalla region and staying at Depot Beach for a few days from Sydney. The Botanic Garden and the readtherocks cache series were our target for the day and both exceeded expectations. As it turned out we had a sunny 24 degree day in the middle of winter and a virtually muggle-free day. Can't speak highly enough about the effort that RTR has put into the construction, placement and naming of these clever geocaches. We had a nice lunch at the cafe afterwards with little fairy wrens flitting to the edge of the table. Lovely!
Funny container. NIce walk through changing landscape to get here. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek

Found on our trip to Batemans Bay. After we got Billy the Cache, we walked along the same path to get to this cache. However, it turns out that we were on the wrong path because we were on the wrong side of the river. We managed to cross is without getting wet, but future cachers might want to use a different route. Once we got there, the cache was found after a couple of minutes. Cool idea for a container. TFTC readtherocks!
Out and about in the area again today.
As I am only in the area for two weeks I had better find them all.
After I short search I spotted this one tucked away. [^]
Now to continue my walk around the botanical gardens.
Thanks for the cache.

We headed out again to explore Batemans Bay through geocaching and ended up in the beautifully maintained botanical gardens. Deserves a favourite for the lovely location and good caches we found. #1936 12 of 19 today.
I was lucky enough to get Easter Tuesday off work so I headed out to the coast. It was a bit ordinary weather-wise with fog on the Clyde Mountain and a few showers about.
Once again, I did not know what to expect here. It took a bit of ferreting around to uncover this one. All quiet in the gardens today for some reason. Not sure it is open.
