TFTC after touring Australia for 4.5 months we are now on the Home straight lovely spot to enjoy a cuppa
Nice little drive up to Moonbi today might as well as grab some caches too.
Took longer than it should of, looking on the wrong structure. Quick grab once that little error was sorted. TFTC cheers
After spending several months house sitting around the Central Coast, Sydney and Bateman's Bay it is time to head back to Queensland.
Day 2 of my drive northwards.
A quick find here. [^]
Thanks for the cache.

Found by Mary & David at 1010. The big chicken made us smile. The man from the museum was opening up, and almost begging us to visit. Our thanks to aussie_rover89.
So this thing happened... I went to this gorgeous wedding in Nundle and stopped here to do this cache only to find a crowd of people at GZ and I was running late to meet up with RA... This one is tbc haha
Unable to locate to replace logbook. Have replaced entire cache. Log extraction tool may now be required.
no luck for us here today, searched for quite a while, found mint tin but nothing else. oh well that's caching.
Like many others we found the tin but kept looking as we read it was not the cache took way to long for such an easy cache good one Tftc
A quick find while we watched the local law enforcement book a guy for speeding on the other side of the road. Brought all the locals out for a sticky beak.
Thanks
Thanks
TFTC, found the rogue eclipse tin first and then found the proper cache not to far away.
Like many cachers before us we quickly discovered the eclipse tin. We dutifully ignored that and continued our search. We spotted a large huntsman so stayed clear of him. Widening our search area we continued to look until eventually Mr. Herbz made the find but not at the level we were expecting! TFTC.
Found it after about 5 mins it was a great easy find at a cute little park perfect for the kids to have a stretch
We have travelled up from Sydney, to spend a week or so in Tamworth & Nundle for the April school holidays, staying at the Big4 Paradise caravan park in our Jayco Swan outback camper trailer. Today is our last day in Tamworth, before heading off to Nundle for a few days, and we decided on a trip up to Moonbi Lookout. Travelled up the New England Highway and returned via the Back Kootingal Road, collecting caches along the way. This was the 9th find of the day, 50th find of the holiday.
A quick "park & grab" at a nice little park in Moonbi. We loved the big chook on the pole near GZ. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC aussie rover89.

One cant do many P and G's with a caravan on the back but there was plenty of room to park here. Another sneaky hide by aussie rover but soon located it. Signed the log and visited a TB. TFTC aussie_rover89.
TFTC. It was lying out on the garden mulch. Replaced in an appropriate position.
Weird? Found the mystery cache but not the cache we were looking for. Signed the log we found as want to log the mystery cache but logging this cache as a DNF
Looking for this cache I found the eclipse tin first and I was like damnit, so keep looking and found this small plastic tube, nice hiding place. 1st cache for the 2016 year!
Found by geokid, Miss V. The container and the log were lying separately on the ground. Lucky both of them were found. Signed the log and put the cache in what we think is a likely proper location.

Day 2 of a three-day road trip from Melbourne to the Gold Coast...today it was Canowindra to Armidale via Wellington and Dunedoo. My objective for the day was primarily to find caches that would fill in missing 10km bands for "The Well Travelled Cacher Challenge: Vic" cache...and that happened to be a rather large list.
After an interesting drive across country we had never been through before, we were on a road travelled before...Tamworth to Armidale...although not since I started caching so there were plenty of opportunities to stop..just not much time as it was getting late.
Before ascending the Moonbi Range, we took a brief stop at this park...and found this cache while we were here.
Thanks aussie_rover89 for putting this cache out here.

While looking for this cache we were approached by the volunteer from the nearby museum and encouraged to drop in for a look around, which we happily did - a great spot to visit. TFTC
Thanks for the cache Aussie. . Found on our trip up the New England hwy. Wonderful cache. Nice little park.
Luckily no muggles at the GZ today .
Signed logsheet 9/10/2015 1:00 pm and replaced the eclipse tin as found.

Each year I like to get out of Brisbane for a week or so around my birthday in September. This year I decided to plan a road trip which would take myself, Captain Terror and catscatcat22 on a 2700km loop of southern Queensland and northern New South Wales. We were gone from the 18-24 September and visited Dalby, Miles, Tara, Surat, St. George, Lightning Ridge, Walgett, Coonabarabran, Tamworth, Uralla, Armidale, Maclean, Yamba then came home following the coast road.
This was the 50th cache for me for the trip and the 4th for the day. As the Subaru pulled up at this park we all noticed the giant bird looking down at us. With lots of flapping and chicken noises we made our way over to GZ. Captain Terror found the container in the second place he put his hand.. and it was the right container... none of this imposter stuff that other people seem to have to deal with.
We added our names to the logbook and replaced the cache as found, we headed back to the car and took a few photos before heading off to our next Moonbi cache. Thanks for the cache aussie rover89

For Net88’s birthday this year, she, Captain Terror, and I went on a road trip of awesomeness, taking us out west from Brisbane.
A total of six days, our whirlwind adventure took us West through Dalby, Miles, Tara and Surat, and then South through Lightning Ridge (the farthest West I’d been!). Then we’d continue South through Walgett, Pilliga, Baradine, and Coonabarabran to Tamworth. Then it was through Uralla to Armidale, and Maclean to Yamba, and finally back to Brisbane.
We saw kangaroos, emus, baby emus, kookaburras, giant guitars, so many sunsets, and so many snacks, thanks to the help of Snackman.
A nice holiday from work, it was also a great excuse to pick up geocaches along the way.

Hey! I've heard about this geocache (sort of) before. A post about it did the rounds of every geocaching facebook page known to man. Of course, it was not this exact geocache, but the GCA that we weren't worrying about. I suspect the Oxley LAC didn't expect 265 likes on a silly photo of a PVC tube geocache, but there it is: https://www.facebook.com/OxleyLAC/photos/a.299219923464801.80590.284109264975867/851911344862320/?type=3
But I'd forgotten about that and today, heading for Armidale from Tamworth, we nearly skipped this geocache completely. Our runsheet didn't have it highlighted for any of our usual specified preferences, but I'm glad we made the stop now!
From 18 to 24 September, Net88, catscatscats22 and I embarked on a road trip to see some different parts of Australia. We drove from home in Brisbane to Dalby, Miles, Tara, Surat, St. George, Lightning Ridge, Walgett, Coonabarabran, Tamworth, Armidale, Yamba and home again, a drive of over 2700 kilometres, a few nights camping and 122 geocache visits to guide us along the way.
As I parked the Subaru, of course the first thing to catch our eye was the massive cock in the park! Oh yes, there will be photos taken and silly chicken noises left. With that done, it was onto the geocache. I flicked through the description but never found the infamous eclipse tin. Nor the PVC tube. Nor anything but the little tube we sought. All in good condition and we added our names to the log before replacing as found. Moonbi, a surprisingly entertaining town! Thanks for this geocache, aussie_rover89

Was my first time trying to find a cache. Muggles kept coming and going. Did find the eclipse tin so I guess it wasn't a complete fail
Wow you were about to get a great log as we had the best experience at this cache, it is disappointing to now learn we did not get the right cache container, not everybody reads descriptions of easy caches and some of us are just travelling through so will not be back.
Of course found the tin first but had read the warning and soon had the correct one in hand.SL TFTC and returned the unsigned tin to it's place.
Well today was road-trip up to Armidale to see my son at UNE, and on the way up to pick up a few caches that we had missed on previous trips.
1/7 - Finally, third time lucky I kicked the chickens butt and found this one. The fingers did the walking. I cannot believe I missed this on previous attempts. The dreaded tin is still there, but knew to give it a miss.

Today the only muggle around was an oversized chook and thankfully it was looking the other way. TFTC.
Yes we found both caches. signed both and went on our way. Had to wait for one lot of muggles to drink their coffee while watching us closely & just as they left some more arrived to use the conveniences. Pretty park though with lots of blue wrens jumping about.
I suspect from this FB page (NSW Police Force), that this cache has been moved to the Tamworth Police Station. The cache owner might want to talk to them about retrieving said cache and either archiving or modifying this one.

Thanks for the concern but the cache that the police have is a geocaching Australia cache - andromeda. . Also this cache is a micro/nano cache and the cache found is at minimum a small.
You got to laugh..the big chook is worth the look. Stopped for lunch on our way north and after shaking off a couple of grey muggles we soon had the correct cache in hand. TFTC
I was hoping to get this on second visit, but no luck. The dreaded Eclipse tin is still there...
May be next time.
May be next time.
We came here twelve months ago and there were muggles at GZ, fortunately this was not the case today. And we found two caches for the price of one; Signed the logs replaced and moved ourselves along TFTC
It was time to make our way back to Melbourne with Team Crackers and Micaparamedic we picked a different way back picking up some caches along the way.
Thanks for the hide,
Regards The Coffee's.

Catching up on some very late logs.
Travelling home from the QLD mega with The Coffee’s and micaparamedic and pulled up here happy to see the area deserted. We located the cache quickly and added our names to the log. Fortunately we read the cache page again before leaving and realised we had logged the wrong cache so back for another look which took a little longer but we now have our names in the correct one.
To save space in the smaller logs we signed as MCC, micaparamedic, The Coffee’s and Team Crackers.
Thanks ausie_rover89 for showing us this site, shame we do not play on GCA as two for one would have been a bonus. J

A great days caching on a road trip toward Oz Mega 2015 with Team Crackers and The Coffees. Many differing experiences, some where I walked right to the cache and others where I needed to hunt around a bit. As usual I have enjoyed the various challenges set by the CO's and the fact that I get to cache with friends and am outside in the great outdoors.
Many thanks aussie_rover89 for placing this cache .

A good early start from Stanthorpe, gave us the opportunity to grab a few caches on the way to Dubbo. A quick find after we talked to some very successful dog breeders on their way home from the Sydney Royal.
Our thanks to aussie_rover89 for bringing us here.

Found it with Team FIN [kapeka & laalaa]
We had fun with caching few weeks here in Australia ( Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Australian Capital Territory ). Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and huge country!

It's Ozmega 2015 time and I found this cache on my four and a half day weekend. Woohoo. Quick find and duly logged.
We were told by B/dale Bandits that we had to stop here as she is a crazy chook lady. After a long search, finding the eclipse tin but not our prize we finally gave in. Will have to return one day to score the smilie. With misschief18, B/dale Bandits and Bentley TB
No luck for us this morning we looked high we looked low we looked around we looked under......ummmmm oh well we move on to the next cache already another time. Cheers
OMG I spent so much time here...found the GCA cache quite quickly then ages to find this one. TFTC

Heading north, grabbing easy finds when we could. At this location we found the GCA cache first, and luckily noticed a comment by the previous finder - so we looked a bit more and found another! Thanks aussie rover89.
