Another DNF, searched for 20 minutes all over and around the old seat and nearby tree. I found a likely hidey hole but it was empty.
After spending several months house sitting around the Central Coast, Sydney and Bateman's Bay it is time to head back to Queensland.
Day 2 of my drive northwards.
Plenty of caches in Tamworth. Unfortunately I do not have time to find them all.
A quick find. The first place I looked.
Thanks for the cache.

Went back tody and after a lot of searching nearly gave up. One of the grandies decided to test out his idea and found it. The cache itself is a masterpiece of disguise. Well done to the owner. I am surprised that it has been found.
Clever cache, easy find using the clue. Log was wet, needing maintenance.

I have replaced the log. Goodness knows hoe the other one came to be so wet.
The well camoed cache is still there. The last finder pushed it into its hidy hole too tight. I had a job pulling it out. It is there.
We have travelled up from Sydney, to spend a week or so in Tamworth & Nundle for the April school holidays, staying at the Big4 Paradise caravan park in our Jayco Swan outback camper trailer. Today is our last day in Tamworth, before heading off to Nundle for a few days, and we decided on a trip up to Moonbi Lookout. Travelled up the New England Highway and returned via the Back Kootingal Road, collecting caches along the way. And now, in the late afternoon, Geodad is heading out to pickup supplies for Nundle and will collect some caches along Calala Lane. This was the 23rd find of the day, 64th find of the holiday.
Arrived at Monk Park to find it was being used for a very large gathering, but thankfully the croud was well away from GZ. After a quick look around GZ I spotted the tricky bit of camo. Signed the log and then replaced as found. TFTC Whitey Wiskas.

Find No: 5104. Visiting from Newcastle, staying with friends at Ogunbil, took their daughter out for a drive on her L plates, thanks for the cache Whitey Wiskas!!
Love this cache, it was disappointing that it had been muggled so made for an easy find but we got the idea and I give it a fav point. TFTC
Spent 2 nights in Tamworth, and geo-hubby went out to find some local caches.
Cache found after a short search, and in good condition.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Whitey Wiskas, for us and others to find.

Each year I like to get out of Brisbane for a week or so around my birthday in September. This year I decided to plan a road trip which would take myself, Captain Terror and catscatcat22 on a 2700km loop of southern Queensland and northern New South Wales. We were gone from the 18-24 September and visited Dalby, Miles, Tara, Surat, St. George, Lightning Ridge, Walgett, Coonabarabran, Tamworth, Uralla, Armidale, Maclean, Yamba then came home following the coast road.
This was the 41st cache for me for the trip. This cache hadn't made our list of to do caches but it was close to another one that we wanted to grab so we made the detour as we had plenty of time. We wandered up from where we parked the car and I spotted this one! What a rare occurrence! With our names in the logbook and the container replaced as found we headed back to the car. Thanks for the cache Whitey Wiskas

For Net88’s birthday this year, she, Captain Terror, and I went on a road trip of awesomeness, taking us out west from Brisbane.
A total of six days, our whirlwind adventure took us West through Dalby, Miles, Tara and Surat, and then South through Lightning Ridge (the farthest West I’d been!). Then we’d continue South through Walgett, Pilliga, Baradine, and Coonabarabran to Tamworth. Then it was through Uralla to Armidale, and Maclean to Yamba, and finally back to Brisbane.
We saw kangaroos, emus, baby emus, kookaburras, giant guitars, so many sunsets, and so many snacks, thanks to the help of Snackman.
A nice holiday from work, it was also a great excuse to pick up geocaches along the way.

From 18 to 24 September, Net88, catscatscats22 and I embarked on a road trip to see some different parts of Australia. We drove from home in Brisbane to Dalby, Miles, Tara, Surat, St. George, Lightning Ridge, Walgett, Coonabarabran, Tamworth, Armidale, Yamba and home again, a drive of over 2700 kilometres, a few nights camping and 122 geocache visits to guide us along the way.
Tonight we're staying in Tamworth and grabbing a precious few geocaches. This one hadn't actually made the list, but Net (who had done nearly all the planning) mentioned it was quite close to the letterbox we were keen on. Eh, it'd be rude to not grab another one while in the area.
Down the few streets and I parked us next to the park. Nothing too noteworthy here getting to the spot, but it took a few moments for the geocache to be found. Net came up with the goods and indeed, it is a decent hide this one. Yet another that has taken some thought to put into place. Thanks for this geocache, Whitey Wiskas

Found this very clever cache at 1:35pm while picking up some caches in the area before heading home . Love the simplicity but the deviously tricky hide.
Fav point
Thanks Whitey Wiskas for the hide

Good to see something different. Didn't know there was a cricket net here. Very handy. TFTC
QLD Mega trip 2015 with Sol de Lune. On this almost 400km road trip we drove from Canberra to Stanthorpe caching in all the towns along the way with mostly great success. Around the Mega there were heaps of caches to be done including a few power trails. Despite the weather we got all of the planned caches done.
Day three was spent caching around Tamworth and then watching the cricket world cup at the amazing camp ground kitchen. Happily the park was clear of users, so we managed a fid here. Thanks.

Found with Albida33 on the way to the Stanthorpe Mega......so please excuse the generic log.
The cache was found without any issues and the log was soon signed....then back in the car and off to continue our travels.
Thanks for the cache and adding to the fun of our Mega trip.....

A Baker’s Dozen – the name of a cache we own and also the number of caches we found after setting up camp in Tamworth. We were impressed by the number of parks and playgrounds around the city and of course this sneaky little cache a favourite for us.
Our thanks to Whitey Wiskas for bringing us here.

Plenty park in Tamworth wow... nice playground. signed the log. Thanks Whitey Wiskas.
The cache was there but it had been jammed in too tight and was almost impossible to remove. I have loosened it up. Let's hope the next finder replaces it so the next person can retrieve it.
A bit disappointed not to find! nice old style park (plenty of room to roam)thanks WW
Found it but unfortunately the cache was not attached to the "plug" and it dropped down into the hollow, irretrievable
What a great cache, it had us looking in the wrong spot until I looked around and noticed something that needed further investigation, it turned out to be the cache! Thanks Whitey Wiskas, for the hunt and the fun, SL and trackables visited.

Left home early this morning travelling Northwards to a event (Meet the Canadians Again) Hosted by that Famous Caching Duo "Team Robins" in Stanthorpe Queensland. Thanks to all involved in making this trip so memorable. Will award a Favourite for this one

Clever hide! Only a tiny bit of wrapping stuck out to give it away. Replaced it carefully tucking everything in. TFTC!
Was going to give up on park caches for a while when i saw this one had been favourited several times. Found eventually as somethign was bulging a little out of shape. Then realised I needed tweezers to get to log and the tweezers were left behind in the car. Back to the car. Back to the cache. Replaced a little more better fitting. TFTC
Found at 9:12 AM GAFF1. Nice work on that cache - we could have been there for an age, but with good co-ords we were able to locate it quite quickly. Good attention to detail with the cache even to the extent that there was a little notch in the lip of the container to help extract the log sheet.
Thanks Whitey Wiskas.
Thanks Whitey Wiskas.
My Tablet GPS lead me right to the location where this tricky Cache is located, however there is one little teltail clue that helps to give it away. The golden rule is to look for something that is not quite right, and that is evident with this cache, it could easily be fixed. TFTC.
The Log strip requires immediate attention, as there is no further space to enter a visit.
[font=Comic Sans MS]Hi there Whitey Wiskas. We found your cache "Monk Park" at 11:28:00 AM today.
This was our 3rd cache find in a caching run of 5 Finds & 0 DNFs today. (So this now makes our find count 9076.)
[Blue]
Today was our first day 'caching in Tamworth, & it seems like we have discovered a group of 'caches that have been placed in or near kids playgrounds.
Please Note: Geocachers sneaking around kids playgrounds are often confused with someone that may have evil intent - and parents or neighbours often complain and call the police.
We felt a little uncomfortable approaching this one as there were a number of mothers with young children that kept a wary eye on us until we had passed the playground.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent. (We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.)
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing..
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards

That was a head scratcher. Finally had cache in hand after deciding to trust the GPS.
Today we did a tour around Tamworth, we visited many parks, lookouts & the wonderful tributes to Country Music of which this town is so famous.
The caches we found were interesting & varied. The cachers of Tamworth should all be proud of their well maintained caches.
This is the 1st time I have seen this particular type of container. Worth a favourite point.
Thanks for placing this cache Whitey Wiskas

With the sealed off construction area not too far away it was handy that GZ gave a good reason for being there. A clever hide that could easily get overlooked. TFTC Whitey Wiskas.
Excellent hide! Easily found because it was partially sticking out. Lovely park! We're speculating that the construction is a toilet block and skateboard park.
Great lucky I followed the gps as I know nothing about where middle leg is
Reperio at 1020.
Traveled up from Newcastle yesterday to spend a couple of days in Tamworth visiting friends...and today I had some time to find a few caches. This was a beautiful park to take a walk throught this morning...and I was fortunate that there were no muggles around. Once at GZ, the cache was located quite quickly...and was nicely tucked away.
Gratias Whitey Wiskas.

We wandered through the long wet grass to this one to then see that there was a lovely dry path we could have walked on. LOL. This is a very clever cache and well deserving of a favourite point. SL TFTC
Tftc found with geopartner. Nice easy find. Well done this is one of your better ones
