Luckily there was a break in muggle walking traffic Ave I was able to duck in and quickly find the container
Thanks gc8 for the cache

I enjoyed my short walk on the trail yesterday and so returned for another, even shorter, walk today. Today's miniwalk went from near the end of Zig Zag road along the top of the ridge up to here, where I made a quick find and sign, and got back before I got showered on. All very pleasant, and I've still got a few aqueduct trail visits to come. Thanks gc8
21 July 2019 17:36 Easy find despite the GPS being out. Another jewel for my detective badges.! TFTC gc8 TNLN SL
An easy find. The only problem was our canine friends being taken for a walk by their owners.
Thanks for the cache gc8

We were on the job caching the aqueduct trail and found this cache in the process. A really excellent walk with flora and fauna abounding.
This was a smaller container than I expected, I was hoping to leave a TB inside but it was too small, maybe not the original container

I'd searched here once before after claiming a nearby FTF. Despite having a lengthy investigation during a muggle free window, I was somehow unable to find the smiley on that visit.
Fast forward to today...
Twelve months later, on a very strange day indeed, I followed the White Rabbit all the way back to this hill. And it was only then that I remembered I had unfinished business here. So I wandered down the embankment and was mindful to search between the sporadic dog walking muggles. It was again looking like I'd be walking away without success, but eventually it revealed itself. And having found it, I couldn't believe how I'd missed this hide over and over and over again!!
I really am terrible at this game.
But I love it all the same!
Thanks so much for this quirky challenge, gc8. I've really become quite enchanted with the engineering feats of Melbourne's early aqueducts

Found it, but container was foggy with condensation and contents were damp. Maybe from the heat? We dried the inside as best we could, but ink had run on some log entries.
Once we figured out how to get ourselves and the dog down the bank it was a fun hunt! Did our best to dry the condensation - unfortunately didn’t have a ziplock on us for the log, will carry one from now on.
Mrs Papi was out with OHC getting some caching done in the rain mind you. They were hoping that it wouldn't be wet at a different location than home. Apparently, they were wrong. There were a lot of muggles, jogging, on pushbikes and walking dogs even though it was raining. Then just to top of trying to be inconspicuous, the owner of the property beside this cache chose the same time to tend to something on his side of the fence. Very hard to hide quietly when it is pouring rain and you have a big Bunnings umbrella. At least it was dark green.
The cache was quickly located, signed and returned and hopefully she didn't draw too much attention to herself. Thanks for the cache.

My last cache on a quick lunchtime mission, was looking for a regular or large cache to drop a TB in so swung past here only to find the container was well smaller than I had expected, possibly due to the recent replacement. Either way, another smiley for the day and time to head back to the office. TFTC.
I came at night time and enjoyed the contrast of the lights in the distance with the relative quiet country landscape. There was no one around which was fortunate in retrieving this cache. I had my torch and made a quick dash down to GZ. I found a nice new log with some new swag thoughtfully placed by the cache owner. This cache mentions bulls are seen along the aqueduct trail. Fortunately, none were out to get my tonight. Thanks for the cache gc8!

It's funny how attempts to hide a cache sometimes makes the position more, er, suspicious. To another cacher, at least. And here I am at the end of the trail, with a nice tally. Thanks for the incentive to return, gc8.
I needed somewhere to ride the cobwebs out of my head and off the bike, and get some smileys for the final week of our Mary Hyde's adventure, so decided to visit the Aqueduct Trail for the first time in ages. Plenty of people and their canine companions were also enjoying the day and the trail, so I had the fun of the occasional game of leapfrog, and a few waits for uninterrupted retrieval. Just a normal, fun day on the trail, really.

On a ride with the geokid, we started to the north of the track at ZigZag road and had fun riding down, then worked our way back. Interesting how many people walk and ride on this track which made some of the finds hard. Last one for the afternoon, and a nice sized one to finish. Great ride and some nice caches. Thanks

Out on another part of the trail after coming to the area for the challenge cache. A short scramble down the bank to Bulls and the hide was soon found. The lid is cracked but the log seems ok. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
We then continued down the track to Views. The likely spot was sighted and it was just a matter of getting into position to complete the search. The hide was soon found and the log signed. TFTC.

Out on a rare occassion with my non geo hubby grabbing a few caches while in the area. With 1 flat tyre on one bike, we rode and walked this great trail. Scrambled down the embankment and made a quick discovery.
Thanks gc8 for placing the cache for us to find.

It was a bit tricky to get down here but all good, and the cache was revealed soon after. Then we were admiring the fancy garage nearby!
Thanks gc8 for the Aqueduct Trail caches, we had a lot of fun today : )

Although I found this cache, I did not find any BULLS, stampsigned the log and replaced cache as found thanks for the fun gc8, it is all good today
Had a very pleasant day out today with Crusty K9 and Mr and Mrs Bunadoorian. We found this cache. Thanks for the cache, and the good company.
A scheduling error on my behalf meant I had babysitting organised but no longer anything to do, so with a day free to myself I decided to pick a random spot on the geocaching map where I haven't cached before. I spotted the walk along the aqueduct that looked interesting so headed out in this direction to sample some of the hides. It was a good choice because the quality of all the hides I found was very high and the trail was a very interesting walk with some great views along the way.
Quite the house that this cache backs on to. There are some really big houses along this trail but this looks like the biggest I have noticed. Thanks for the cache gc8.

Thanks again for another good hide . Well described . Found with Eli Patrol again .
A sunny Sunday ride with Morcs4 and Vanessa&Adoh. By now the lunch time energy had kicked well and truly in for the geokids and it was a race to find this cache with an unruly ending. But the great size container with swaps managed to settle or scores.
Well, i am now logging caches on the side of the road. My geobuddies have taken my kids to do Keeta - Smell while I wait for RACV. We, including Mark&Kelly and Vanessa&Aodh, had a late start from original pre-arranged time to do the aquaduct series, as one had a flat battery and another needed a bike part. Now, however, it looks like i might have a flat or collapsed battery. Great day for caching with kids in the sunshine. However, we are now making them ride 8 km instead of 4km. No Bulls nearby. Tftc
Wow, yes, bulls. The kids were still racing each other to find the cache, and we had to ration them to take it in turns. Miss H found this one and its cool camo that didn't scare her at all. Thanks gc8.

This trail had lots of nice, quick caches to find. This one was no exception. TFTC

Beware of the 6 legged beasts living in this area. Thanks for getting me out side
#456 - Down in the suburbs for a fun day of caching with uvtorch. Had to wait for some muggles to go past but soon had the cache in hand, Tftc.
I'm helping Mountain Goat get to 500 caches today. This was a fun little cache that got him a step closer to his goal. Great views from this one! TFTC!
Suscoe's 19th find of today.
We had an early start and ended with a total of 31 finds in all.
A pleasant day, a touch of warmth, so wind and a little bit of sun peeking through the clouds.
What a brilliant trail and how good are those houses.

The plan for today was to take the bike to Research and complete the caches along the Aqueduct Trail. The weather was perfect for cycling however it did mean that there were a few more muggles. Luckily there were still plenty of gaps to safely grab the caches.
This took me a long time to find mainly due to a muggle in the adjoining house shoveling mulch in full view. TNLN. TFTC.

The hide location had moved so I have moved it back to the original location. Replaced the log. I note the container lid is cracked. I will replace the container soon.
Thanks heaps. This one had been left completely exposed so was very easy. I wish others would be a bit more careful. Have tucked away safely. Log a bit damp due to lid also been left off.

Anyway, fascinating place and great trail, but failing light got the better of me here.

A quick find for Geokid the Younger for his birthday. Nice to find the well travelled Jessie, although clearly she has seen better days.
Took TB, dropped off TB, SL All good.
Thanks gc8 for the cache.
