Sad to see this one go. After it was first placed the aea seemed to become a local dumping ground. The area is no longer a nice place to visit.
Due to excessive muggle dumping i will regretfully have to archive this cache. Been out this morning and the area is at its worst i have ever seen it. Was such a beautiful spot. Will give it 7 days for anybody yet to log and then she will disappear from the radar.
Geodad wanted to run a maintenance on this one before deciding if he will archive so i got the quick smiley.
I think it was a favourite cache fr our family so will be sad to see it gone.

I suspect that someone has cleaned this place up and the cache had been taken with the rubbish. No luck didnt find it
Disgusting location, no hard feelings to the CO, but yak!!!!

finally got you
you pesky little critter
2nd attempt - still took awhile
but glad to scratch that DNF
And agree with others - location spoilt but the dumping of rubbish
Would require a serious CITO with fridges chairs and drums scattered or pushed over the edge
(big frown)
but still Iike the spot & TFTC

Once again we were appalled by the amount of large items that have been dumped beside one of the loveliest viewing spots along the coast. We had a pretty good search in spite of two compasses pointing us in different directions but had to abandon our search when disturbed by a muggle
We stopped on our way to Port Douglas didn't find it then, we decided to have another attempt on our way back. found it almost immediately co-ordinates bouncing round a little bit made this more of a challenge. Tftc
Found with hqe1 while on honeymoon tftc beautiful spot was bounce around a lot a good 10 metre away from gps
Snappy find after a great day out at Hartleys, that's enough crocs for one day

Heading back to our accommodation towards Port Douglas along what is becoming a very familiar stretch of road. We were pretty exhausted after spending a nice day on Fitzroy island. Decided to take a bit of a break to stop and search for this one. It was dark and Mr Stormcatcher didn't have much confidence of making the find. Miss Stormcatcher however was keen for a smiley and eventually stumbled on this one in dark using a time and tested technique ! Glad it wasn't one of his larger more living cousins lol! Probably the first time while being in in FNQ that we had issues with mozzies. Coords seem a little out and we did take some time searching, all good fun ! Tricky tricky, TFTC
I was skeptical yet hopeful when we decided to give this one a go. With the recent DNF yet check up prior to that, left me thinking we might just be lucky. After searching for a good 15min we finally spotted the little bugger under a lot of leaf litter.
If I knew the area was this littered, I would have brought heavy duty gloves and a trailer. None the less, th find was a success and we had fun getting another smiley on the map.

Stopped in on the way home from weekend at Mossman to check upon this one. Took me a minute to locate but all seemed ok. Took away some rubbish today too.
noticed this one on the way up to Port yesterday
decided best to attack on our return ... today
pulled up
GPSr had me parked just about on top of it [?]
got out and had a look around ...
mmm
widened the search, dodged some of the rubbish
spent a bit more time scratching around.
had a guess as to what I was looking for ... but it must have been really hiding well today
... or I was blindly looking in the wrong spots.
I'll be back.

Our home is the Sunshine Coast, also home to the Irwin's so I was keen to search for this one.
Spent ages not finding the little beast. Avoiding the rubbish and looking in all likely natural hide spots but no luck. Got a bit dizzy as I went round and round in circles with gz jumping around. Now that I look at a few more previous logs, I have a few more clues - it must have been right under my nose! How annoying. Have to wait till we're up this way again.....

Another beautiful day in paradise environment of FNQ. On this GOOD Friday I am out and about on a treasure hunt with my good GC friend Walter (while Ingrid enjoyed other pastimes) - thank you for more interesting discussions. Lots of rubbish to sift through ... Tanx to Walter's coaching I found this well hidden treasure. Safely re-hidden this treasure and luckily no venomous beasts protecting the hide. T4TC.
We headed north today after being held up by Tropical Cyclone Ida. We were glad to see the cache had weathered the storm safely.

Today is the day for another try[^]. After getting a clandestine hint I utterly fearlessly looked around in all the possible hiding holes the dreaded [?]"beauty"[?] could dwell in. Finally I retrieved her[8)]. Looking at her, doubts came up about what a beauty is. Anyway, there must be various tastes about that. Apart from blending almost perfectly into this environment[:o)], due to a major jaw injury, she very urgently needs a maxillofacial and pharyngolaryngeal[8)] cosmetic surgery pretty soon. As a first aid[:o)] I tried my very best to cure the throat at least in a paramedic way[8)] using a pair of tweezers[^]. Alas that helped only temporarily[xx(][8)] just showing my attempt to future predator and cache hunters to come[^]. I am pretty sure many of them will appreciate the hunt despite this kind of environment[^].

Normally I would write: "Thanks for the opportunity of practicing CITO[:X]" or "Will come back with a huge plastic bag and some rubbish bins for CITO[^]".
However, the dimension of trash dumped here unfortunately exceeds every imagination[:(!]. Even for an official Geocaching CITO event this is not manageable[xx(].
I tried really my very best to spot a 3D replica of one of North QLD's most dangerous predators[8)]. Therefore, I looked for something green very big in size. Alas there came a lot of other greenish stuff across which, to my taste, was not beautiful at all.
Definitely, I have to come back with the help of some more pairs of eyes.
Anyway, thanks a lot for bringing me here. If I had seen the "container", no matter what appearance I would consider it a real beauty ([^][^][^]).

While driving back from Port Douglas to Cairns we stopped and attempted to locate this cache.
The Additional Hint provided was very helpful, but there were so many possible hiding spots to search that it took us a significant amount of time before we locate the cache 'container'.
We have added the co-ordinates that worked for us to our log entry as there is plenty of rubbish in the general vicinity (a whole suite of electrical appliances and some furniture nearby) that do easily attract your attention.
Thanks WesttigersNo.1 for this new hide on a very scenic road. Well worth a quick stop to find a cache.
