This road is becoming increasingly dangerous, particularly the gravel portion. For the safety of everyone, including the locals I am closing down all of these caches in this series that are on this road. We also have a hoon issue in the area at the moment which is adding to the issue of safety. Thank you to everyone who has visited these caches.
By now it's hot, my navigator is firmly ensconced in the ute and I spent twenty minutes going round in circles... Having found only a couple of clues, I had to admit defeat... With no phone reception, decided to turn round and come back another day....
Out and about in my old stomping grounds with my old mate ACE4350. TFTC
Well now, not as easy as some in this series. ACE is not a man to quit easy and after a good 30 minutes he came up with the goods. It was less then a metre from where I was seeking!!! My old eyes are not as good as his.

Oh no! We were on such a roll until this one had us stumped. We searched for 30 mins without any luck.
Oh well. We pushed on to the next cache.

Searched every place we could see with taurus1955 and BentleyTB, but could not find this one. Had some muggles drive up, but we just gave them a wave and they drove off again. Lots of big pieces of wet bark around where we were looking at some stage. Can't believe we were unable to find a container that size.
We looked in all the obvious places, got exceedingly wetter as the search went on. The prickle bushes were in fine form and stuck into me in every place that they could reach. After searching for about 1/2 an hour and being asked by some muggles whether we required any assistance, misschief18 and I decided that we would try to secure the combination of the letter box with the numbers that we had.

didnt find it.. searched for about half hour & decided to move on to next one as it was getting dark... will come back when we go pass next time
We had to lie low as there were muggles everywhere, but they soon dispersed and we were able to grab the stash
thanks for the cache

A nice size container to drop off a TB. He wants to go on to the next continent, but I'm not planning on going overseas anytime soon, so no use us hanging on to him. Hopefully he finds his way over seas soon.

Aha, always nice to see some variety in container size - especially on a trail that's not so suitable for the kids to get in and out each time! made some swaps and continued on.
Thanks for the cache today!

Today we did a full day of caching in Toowoomba region. From the town region & out to Cooby Dam.
All the caches we found were in good condition & some wonderfull & scenic locations.
We enjoyed our run doing the Cliche series, we collected the codes as we went.
As we left this cache we met Speedmistress along the road, stopped & had a quick cacheit was good to meet the CO of this series.
Thanks for placing this cache Speedmistress

There was no need to lie low here, as no one was around to observe us... unless they were lying low! Thanks for the hide.
On our way up to Toowoomba to do Animal Alphabet Challenge when OrionJ mentioned that he wanted to grab a few letterbox hybrids. Not a problem for us even though we did both between Brisbane and the range. To our surprise OrionJ mentioned this new one just North of Toowoomba that we hadn't seen and a small power trail that went with it. Seemed perfect for today's adventures.
---
Tenth cache in the series. This one took all of us to find it. After a little searching OrionJ came up with the goods. Log signed and we were off to the next one. TFTC and series Speedmistress

I really do like to find a good Letterbox Cache and I had seen this one a little while ago and really did like the idea of making the find next time I visited Toowoomba.
So today I was heading to Toowoomba with The Hunting Rabbit and had mentioned wanting to get the couple of Mailboxes. So this little trail gained a position on our list for the day.
-----
Tenth stop for the run and we were all out of the car for the hunt agian. Really not quite sure what to look for here but with following the GPSr and thinking like a cacher we were able to make the find pretty quick.

JustEmmy was doing a great job in finding caches today. She usually prefers to forgo our caching ventures. Perhaps we can convert her yet. Thanks Speedmistress.
Another cache the geokid beat me to. I considered making her walk to the next one but relented. Cache was found safe and dry. TFTC, Speedmistress.
Out and about today to find quite a few caches today.
This little series by Speedmistress was on my hitlist. Well there is a letterbox at the end.
Another quick find in this little series. Now onto the next one.
My road tyres on the car nearly did not let me get up this hill ... sorry about the long 'wheel spin' mark on the road.
Thanks for the cache.

Despite 15 minutes of looking, I was unable to find this one. I'm unsure whether this one is still there.
Found in company of the CO. We then had a guided tour along the entire Cliché series.
Then treated to afternoon tea with the CO.
A great afternoon.
Many thanks

I was lost for all money on this one... Mistborn earned his stripes with a good find on this cache. I don't know what my geo senses were doing! TFTC!
As we pulled up beside GZ, Mr E said "I see it". I (Mrs E) got out and couldn't see it for looking. Mr E had to get out and point to it twice before I spotted it. Not where I was expecting.
We were going so well with this series but this one had us stumped (no thats not a clue!) Firat A looked then M looked then A looked again.... at this point a 4WD pulled up to see if we were ok, and what do you know it was the cache owner Speedmistress herself. Nice to meet you and thanks for the chat (and the help to find this cache).
Please note that this cache is within the public road space and should be approached from the road only.
Found at 0902. The GPS had me walking into some bush where I found myself behind another barbed wire fence, luckily there was a nice gate that I could climb over. Once that was achieved I found the cache where you would expect it to be. TFTC.
Time to find some more of this trail and make entries in log books. Some of the logs in this series I signed YOF as youngoldfella takes up too much space on tiny logs. Next one to log is number 10. Parked off road in a very safe spot and stood for awhile waiting for the Gizmo to settle down a little. Whilst I was waiting I had a very good look around to see the likely spot one could hide a regular cache. I came to the conclusion that not that many places and nature was certainly assisting with cover. Good hide well covered and a quick find. TFTC Speedmistress.
Lots of places this could hide. GPS being loopy but kestal came up with the goods! Tftc
Not sure where to look for find number 10 of 12 for the afternoon out with angloj. So many different spots and the GPS was being very jumpy. Finally made the find and ready to move on. TFTC Speedmistress
We were staying in Crows nest for the weekend for a family birthday and after grabbing a cache the night before decided a 5.30am start to grab some caches along a newly released trail was in order while every one else slept in. This one caused me a headache. My GPS was adamant that the cache was hidden in a certain spot but a detailed search failed to find anything. Even a wider search left me empty handed. With my time running out before I had to head back home, I decided to cut my losses and finish the trail. I assumed if I was only one number short I would hopefully still be able to crack the code after some trial and error. This proved to be the case and after completing the final I could not pass here again without having another attempt at the cache. This time the GPS decided to point to a slightly different place and after a good hunt finally turned up the larger than expected cache. I was very relieved to have completed this one so the whole trail was complete. Tftc.
We parked a bit further on and had to back track for this cache.
Geopartner made the find and handed it to me to sign.
We could hear a cow mooing in the distance.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks Speedmistress All good with this cache

I'd barely started looking for this one when the sounds of a motorbike caught my ears. So away I wondered, intent on trying to look nonchalant when the motorbike stops beside me and I'm asked "have you found it yet?" Who should it be but Speedmistress herself! This is the first time I've ever met another cacher while out hunting, and what a nice surprise it was. After a short conversation, Speedmistress continued on her way and I went back to searching, quickly laying my hands on cache no.9
FTF:
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, GRRRRRRRRRRRRR
This one was certainly laying low. Not sure how long we spent here but it was way to long, but we needed to see if there was a clue number in the cache.
Hubby was the one to finally found the cache container from it's well hidden spot. SL TFTC

This Cache was our last for the afternoon because we had to get home for our dinner that was still in the oven.
We didn't seem to have the problem that Muff1 had in locating this Cache, there are many places that this Cache could hide in but we found it within 30seconds, that is so unlike us, normally it is us that spends ages looking for the one and a half (easy) difficulty Caches.
We are looking forward to completing this series and adding our name to the final Cache.
Thanks Speedmistress.
