This road is becoming increasingly dangerous, particularly the gravel portion. For the safety of everyone, including the locals I am closing down all of these caches in this series that are on this road. We also have a hoon issue in the area at the moment which is adding to the issue of safety. Thank you to everyone who has visited these caches.
Looked on the wrong side for a while, and got a couple weird looks from muggles, hopefully I didn't give away the location. TFTC!
Parked safely where suggested then made a bee-line to where we thought the cache would be. A very quick find. Log signed and we were on our way to number 3.
Thanks Speedmistress
Thanks Speedmistress
Well this one was certainly not where we expected it to be. We must have looked suspicious where we were looking, but thankfully didn't see anyone else around at the time. Finally found when we followed the GPS. TFTC
I was convinced that I knew the answer to Alpha and Omega but my GPSr was saying something entirely different. I should learn to trust my GPSr a little better because as soon as I decided to check in the direction of the arrow misschief18 and I soon had the cache in hand

Out and about with trek4ward and C Yeo Later today to claim the last few souvenirs, for August. Aiming for the letterbox cache at the end of the Cliche series. Spotted this one and just had it in my hand, when what looked like a fellow geocacher rocked around the corner in her car. We were sprung! By Speedmistress, no less! After a quick chat, and an invite to rock up to her place once we had done the run, we were off to do the rest! TFTC
Parked at ground zero, and after looking for the Alpha and Omega symbols I thought would be there somewhere but aren't, finally found cache tucked away in its little hide away.

Hi there Speedmistress. We found your cache "Alpha & Omega" at 11:01:00 AM today.
This was our 4th cache find in a caching run of 24 Finds & 0 DNFs today. (So this now makes our find count 9489.)
[Blue]
Today's cache run was to add to our current streak of "Most Consecutive Days" cached. With this cache the total now stands at 225 Days.
Today was a trip down memory lane for Ian, he spent quite some time in (and around) Cabarlah before he left the Army.
Please excuse our boilerplate logs. It's not really a good excuse, but it is often really difficult to craft individual logs when we attempt so many similar caches in a day.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent. (We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.)
Cache Condition: Container was found on the ground so we replaced it a little higher.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

One of those little caches that are so blaringly obvious if you know it's there, but I'm sure there are plenty of people who live down this very road who have never noticed the oddity.
thanks for the cache today

On our way up to Toowoomba to do Animal Alphabet Challenge when OrionJ mentioned that he wanted to grab a few letterbox hybrids. Not a problem for us even though we did both between Brisbane and the range. To our surprise OrionJ mentioned this new one just North of Toowoomba that we hadn't seen and a small power trail that went with it. Seemed perfect for today's adventures.
---
Second cache in the series. OrionJ pulled up the cache info at the last one and Dr THR hopped out ready upon arrival. Quick park and grab here. TFTC and series Speedmistress

I really do like to find a good Letterbox Cache and I had seen this one a little while ago and really did like the idea of making the find next time I visited Toowoomba.
So today I was heading to Toowoomba with The Hunting Rabbit and had mentioned wanting to get the couple of Mailboxes. So this little trail gained a position on our list for the day.
---
The second stop along the trail, we had just stopped off at the other nearby cache for a quick find, and I had a moment to study this one. Took the advice for parking even if I was facing the wrong way, and Dr THR dashed over to make the find.

JustEmmy spotted this quickly. We signed our names and continued on our way. Thanks Speedmistress.
Middle DisSister geokid spotted the cache as we rounded the corner so she leapt out and made the grab as soon as the car came to a stop. Cache was found safe and dry. TFTC, Speedmistress.
Out and about today to find quite a few caches today.
This little series by Speedmistress was on my hitlist. Well there is a letterbox at the end.
A quick start to this little series. Now onto the next one.
Thanks for the cache.

Parked where suggested and searched across the road, three or four places likely not there so another thought! it could be hidden there yep, signed log and replaced, then off to find a camp spot fr the night...
Found in company of the CO. We then had a guided tour along the entire Cliché series.
Then treated to afternoon tea with the CO.
A great afternoon.
Many thanks

Out doing this series with mistborn... He is a bit new and almost didn't spot this one. Love the title! TFTC!
Left turn, quick find and then off down the road ! Thanks for the cache, Andrew and Maryan
Found at 0809. The rain had slowed by now so a quick park & grab was in order. No trouble. Wasn't able to make the link to the name though. TFTC
The 2nd of 12 for the afternoon. Made a qucik find for this one. TFTC Speedmistress
I should have done this one yesterday as it is right on the corner but the plan I had in place yesterday is not the plan for today and even now that plan has changed. Parked in a safe spot and spied the container whilst walking across the road. It was supposed to be where I found it, I guess, because it was not on the ground. No traffic about. Quickly signed log and replaced where found and made sure it was well and truly held in place by the invisible force and onto the next one. TFTC Speedmistress.
We were staying in Crows Nest for the weekend for a family birthday and after grabbing a cache the night before decided a 5.30am start to grab some caches along a newly released trail was in order while every one else slept in. GPS originally wanted me searching on the wrong side of the road. Swapped sides and still had no luck but then found the cache laying on the ground in the open. Signed the log and replaced where I assumed it belonged. Tftc
Found this one where it was not to be and after signing the log, I returned it to where it was supposed to be.
First the GPS wanted me to go to another place but I soon rectified that.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks Speedmistress All good with this cache

FTF: The story as per the log "Test the Waters"
I sent hubby in not quite the correct direction as I try to sort out the next cache.
Gee I just don't manage the Iphone that well. So I set about downloading to the GPS.
Hubby requested some help and with the correct co-ords the cache was soon in hand. SL TFTC

After 'Test the Waters' we arrived here and found a great parking spot by all the letterboxes. After watching out for the traffic we made the find and added our name to the log book.
