Ah we love the challenge of a good rock wall!! Keen eyes spotted it after a ten minute search. Thanks ms158f for placing and maintaining the cache for our enjoyment.

Would love a clue.

How boy! A chameleon in this climate? I was beyond surprised to find it here. TFTC!

17-Jul-24
Thank the lord! I never thought I would find this thing. Years and years of looking through everything. On the verge of tears, I went to look again, one more time before heading back up to Sydney. Thankfully I had a little help from a fellow geocacher who gave me some guidance. Looking around for 15-20mins I started to go crazy checking everything but eventually calmed down and really took my time. Then, there it was, UNBELIEVABLE. Who wouldve thought. I bursted out laughing because I finally found it. I always hated this geocache because of how difficult it was but now that Ive found it, its such a clever idea to get people angry. So glad to finally get a happy face on this geocache. TFTC

First one to sign this log since 2022.After going to the event this morning that was held at Willow Park I received some amazing information to nail down the area in which I needed to look to find this one it's still took me a good five minutes of searching and wondering whether I had listened correctly but then I had it after years of searching I finally have it in my hand I have signed the log and taken a photo of Proof because I honestly couldn't believe that I finally have this one under my belt unbelievable I seriously need to bring back all the people that I have searched with and show them what we never could find absolutely brilliant job in hiding this one man has had me stumped many times over

06-Mar-24
This Chameleon definitely hid from me.It was clear that it had to be one of the objects in the pile, but turning over virtually all objects around the GZ, still found nothing!Wow, after 2 actual finds, another DNF for the Wodonga cache search!

Found it after about 20 minutes of searching on a lovely balmy summer evening. Mr A found it by randomly picking up every rock he could see and turning over, however our initial instinct of where it could be hidden was right. As Mr P would say- its stuck at home. Does require some climbing to find it as it is not visible from pathway and be careful of ants as there were a few around!

Stupid rocks everywhere, once again i have failed to find the cache

Bit of time before work today so decided to have a 3rd attempt at this one. About 15 mins later spotted something out of place and sure enough it was the cache. 3rd time lucky here. A well hidden cache that I'm glad to finally tick off.

Plenty of lizards enjoying the sun today!
Tftc !

05-Sep-22
By jingo bingo bango I knew what to look for but when the GPS is out a few metres there are plenty of options here! Chameleon lived up to its name and was eventually spied with great rocky relief. After a notoriously busy month at altitude I could finally head down the valley to get the geomobile serviced and do something completely different like catching up on a few caches. This was a Bewdy TFTC and the night time FUN!

###**CACHE OWNER PLEASE NOTE**###

----------

This cache would seem to have had some welcomed advice on behalf of the CO by a Good Samaritan - 'weirdobiker ', so it fortunately lives for another day.

Even though a Good Samaritan has indicated all is OK, there is still a need to Enable the cache - see this link: [**Temporarily Disable and Enable**.](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235)

Just a reminder - as the Guidelines advise:
*Cache maintenance also covers keeping the cache page up-to-date. This includes updating any changes to the text, updating coordinates, removing needs maintenance attributes and **enabling the listing.***

**I have Enabled the cache for you on this occasion.**

23-Aug-22
I notice that there has been a string of DNF's for this cache however I live nearby and can verify the cache is still in place and in good condition. I have messaged the CO to verify everything is fine with the cache.

### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED PLEASE** ###

----------

Hi there ms158f,

This cache has been flagged by Geocaching HQ as a cache that **MAY** need some attention.

You may recall having received an automated email from Geocaching HQ which explained what you needed to do.

Unfortunately, nothing seems to have happened, so the cache is being temporarily disable - see here: [**Geocache Health Score.**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713)

**You do need to respond to this enquiry in some way within 14 days, so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.**

#What should you do now:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-

- **Check On The Cache:-** Visit the cache to check, repair, replace or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the logs of praise to roll in.

- **Place A Write Note Log:-** Reviewers are not mind readers, so without your note on the cache page explaining that the site works are on-going, or you have been in hospital, or the area is in flood, they can't tell what is going on with the cache.
So please just post a note to the page (within 14 days) and when a Reviewer next looks at the listing, all will be fine for a little bit longer.
**Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. If you have a long term unavailable cache (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 4 to 6 weeks, so as to keep everyone up to speed.**

- **Adopt/Archive:-** If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another Geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it,**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.

You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of the above. Well, when the cache is next checked by a Reviewer, if the issue has not been addressed, or there is no acknowledgment as requested above, it will be assumed the cache has been abandoned and processed accordingly.

Honestly, it's better for you to decide, so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.

Thanks for your cooperation,

Bunjil

7th attempt. Still not successful. Is it gone or is it just so sneaky that we can’t see it. Highly advice an update from the owner to see if it’s still there.

15-Jun-22
So making this as a dnf only so I can remember to come back and give this another go. Feck! What a lot to look at. Lol

10-Jun-22
Another session of feeling like a quarry worker with nothing to show for it

24-Jan-22
Well that’s annoying, looked for almost an hour. Even though this is my first dnf on this geocache, I have had about 4 attempts on this thing. We looked through everything, even when people said not too move on anything, we did. We checked the whole rock hall/hill. Couldn’t find anything out of the ordinary, not a painted rock in sight. We then checked the massive rocks opposite the path, nothing really there, we scavenged through all the big rocks and the gaps in between, nothing! Then went on the other side of the road just out of desperation, again nothing! So after nearly an hour, we were hungry and decided to call it a day. 2 pers of experienced cachers and no luck. We will be back after a few more logs come back, just no clues at all on what we could be possibly be looking for, if it’s in a rock, under a rock, connected to a wire in the wall or just a normal small container. Very very annoyed

14-Jan-22
Searched hard. Unable to find.

14-Jan-22
Missing maybe ??? I don't know

12-Jan-22
My son and I travelled from Punka all the way to Wodonga for his vaccination as that was the only place in the state at the time we could get an appointment for him. So after we went for a wander around collecting a few caches here and there. It was on our drive back to Punka that we also stopped at a few selected caches along the way.

Well this sure was a chameleon. I was very very surprised I literally walked straight up to this one. I could have been here looking a long time otherwise I reckon. It fits into its surroundings beautifully but a seasoned cachet eye should be able to spot it. Thankfully it’s not like the evil Eagle Rock!
I didn’t need to move anything. It was just there like everything else around it.

Unfortunately the logbook was completely full. Luckily I carry spares and was able to replace it with a clean fresh log sheet.

My son had a great time spotting all the skinks hanging out on the rocks. I couldn’t believe how big they were.

Thank you for the cache here ms158f

28-Aug-21
Enjoyed the wonderful sunny day making the most of my 5km radius to exercise in and managed to find this one and many, many lizards that made this location home. Great cache and loved the challenge, finally got to tick this one off.

28-Aug-21
Looked for a long while. Lots of people around so pretended I was watching the lizards to not look to weird

15-Jul-21
Wow difficulty for is definitely earned we search for a good while three setsof eyes and no win

08-Jul-21
Well I had to try and see what I was in for, on this chilli night visiting wodonga for the first time.. and oh my, I certainly didn't find it in the time I had.

Very tricky. Happy to have found it.

04-Jul-21
Another consecutive day caching together with Georgenmoo (who also appears to love this sport just as much as I do!) This time we were minus all the geoboys, so it was geogirl day! We started out in drizzle and it was consistent most of the day. Everyone went home with wet shoes/socks but a quick change into the trusty gumboots saw nice dry feet still aching from the cold. A pretty successful day overall considering the conditions.

A lot of searching for this one but finally located the cache, don't love those rocky locations.

14-Jun-21

Hmm no good, only had a quick look will try again another time.

TFTC found by Geo husband. After a few waits for muggles to pass, cache soon found. Log full needs replacement.

01-Jan-21
Another cacher that has found this believes we may have located the original. Last entry on the one we signed was 2017.

18-Sep-20
Easy peasy, first think I looked at. There is a lounge of little lizards all over these rocks, on both sides. Not chameleons I don't think. Signed and replaced

# 5993 Found on the last day of our Murray Kayak trip. We found a few around Albury/Wadonga before heading back to Canberra in our own time. And thus another geo-adventure comes to a close.
Had an idea what to look for here. Didn't take too long. Had to wait for some muggles to pass.
Thanks ms158f

On a mission towards reaching my 1000th cache in my first 12 months of caching. I am so happy that I found this one first go. Team OZCAT on a roll

21-Jan-20
I had so many attempts at this one over a long period of time. Well blow me over with a feather, my partner finds it 1st attempt. I have been told I'm somewhat useless at finding caches, but I think, rather hope, I was lied to. That partner of mine (CATNAP777) Has a goal... 1000 finds in 1 year. Tyfc

Suscoe had a day out around Wodonga today.
It was sunny with clear blue skies and it ended up being quite a warm Spring day.
Lots of good spots to visit and a good range of caches were found.

Thanks to ms158f for this hide.
Great to be able to finally convert the blue face to a yellow smiling face after Mrs. S spotted the hide very quickly.

###**CACHE OWNER PLEASE NOTE**###

----------

This cache would seem to have had some welcomed action on behalf of the CO by a Good Samaritan - 'Jaminappleford ', and it lives for another day.

However, the maintenance responsibility rests with the CO, and even though the issue has been addressed, the onus is on the CO to check that all is as it should be. If the CO does not maintain the listing it can be de-listed (Archived).

I would strongly recommend that you have a refresh of the Maintenance Guidelines here: [**Cache owner responsibilities**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines#listingmaintenance) as well as the Help Centre article here: [**Maintenance expectations**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=57)

You need to Enable the cache - see here: [**Temporarily Disable and Enable**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235) as well as remove the "Needs Maintenance" attribute by logging a "Owner Maintenance" log - see this Help Centre article: "[**Removing the Needs Maintenance Icon.**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404 )" .

**I've enabled the cache for you this time.**

I have looked for this cache on at least three occasions over the past two years with no avail..
With this week being streak week and knowing that this cache was back in play thought I may try my luck yet again..
I dragged geokid#1 out of the house to help with the find and she couldn't believe that we were here yet again!!
We spent a short while looking in all the wrong places until I saw something not quite right.. finally a smiley on my nemesis cache.. thanks ms158f and jamin for putting it back in play.

17-Aug-19
With world geocaching day I was hopeful of getting at least one today, and when I realised I had a few hour window before soccer gala day I headed across the river to target a few select caches (and maybe get a few around Beechworth that I have missed previously). Mixed success - a multi in Wodonga (more steps but too busy), a recently reinstalled in a Wodonga (success), a challenge in Beechworth (success) and a FTF in Beechie (fail) and then ran out of time for others. Was a beautiful day and had a great walk but faced the challenge of not enough time and too many caches!

This was the first found and was my original plan for the day - if I only got one it would be this one. Having seen the maintenance last weekend I actually went and scoped this out on Wednesday morning. After searching for this multiple times I ignored the GPS and starting looking. Spotted the hide within less than a minute (thankfully) and so was a quick find today. Took a while to extract but no one about so soon on my way.

TFTC ms158f (though the cache needs to be enabled) and to Jamin Appleford for replacing the container

11-Aug-19
Cache replaced and returned to good order thanks to Jaminappleford

19-Apr-19
No luck again!

This is missing, I have found this one in the passed, and been back with an other Cacher and unable to find. So needs maintenance or archiving.

09-Jan-19
Hi all, the girls and I just had a look where we found it. It is no longer there. So for all the DNF’s don’t worry. Maybe the CO has removed it.

30-Dec-18
DNF today, was a bit warm to keep looking.

30-Dec-18
Unfortunately matho64 and I didn’t find today. We read a lot of previous comments stating that Co-ords were out 6-8 metres. Still no luck

02-Dec-18
Concur with previous Wins5 Log. CO not in area. Happy Feet 1 and I departed Wodonga at 7:30AM amid the Thunder, Lightning, Wind, and Rain. Thinking, isn't this nice as we watched locals endeavoring to erect their Gazebos etc for the mornings market. As it turned out, the weather turned out rather pleasant for the day. As pleasant as the company we shared. Culcairn was the target for the day and resulted in approximately 20 cache finds for the day.
Some caches innovative and some challenging. Returning home, I seeked help in cracking a local BUGBEAR.
This Cache is my 6th attempt (without placing dnf's as not far from home) at finding the Chameleon. Happy Feet had previously found this and also concurs may have crept.
Knowing exactly what to search for, we both still failed to find. Will watch further.

22-Sep-18
This is my third attempt and I suspect the cache is still there but may have crept. Happened across a previous finder (he had parked at the wrong bridge to look for a troll) and led me to the area where the cache had previously been (and not the area I had searched). Spent about 10 minutes with him and then another 10 by myself to no luck.
I understand CO may have left town but might be one that another previous finder may be able to confirm is still in play (has been a couple of months but is also s good hide)
I will be back but have other fish to fry today - TFTC

02-Sep-18
No luck today

21-Jul-18
After about 20 minutes my son spotted it!! Great find one of our favourites

08-Jul-18
Out on a bike ride. Thought i might have a quick look for this one but with no luck. Next time.

03-Jul-18
After about an hour of searching in the wrong spot, my sister an I gave up. The next day my mum helped us to find it. I noticed a difference and we found it. Please replace the paper as we had no room to write our names.

26-Jun-18
Caching with DAB on our last day in Albury/Wodonga we just had to attempt the Chameleon.
Parking nearby we all trotted down under the bridge to begin the search. Once we established our searching zone, all eyes went to work (4 sets). After awhile the other Triton came up the winner with the prize in his hands.
Thanks ms158f for the hunt.

26-Jun-18
After saying goodbye to Michael, The_Tritonz and myself continued on our merry way. With an afternoon ahead of us, we enjoyed some amazing scenery. We collected quite a few caches, which were all very enjoyable.
We were looking forward to this challenge and it didn't disappoint !! This hide blends in so well, well done. Eventually eagle eyed Chris spotted the prize. TFTC ms158f Big Grin

Found by Mrs A! And when shown the general area Geokids also found it. Quite tricky and obvious at the same time! TFTC

26-Jun-17
Found. Had a look for this one a couple of years ago without success, today I returned and tried again. Took a couple of passes to try and see where the GPS indicated GZ to be, then stood back and used my eyes. Finally spotted a type of hide I have seen before and am getting better at picking out. Glad to get the smiley at last. TFTC
