Thank you so much to everyone who took the tour of the postboxes to work out where the final was.
We have enjoyed reading the many logs over the years since the Postman's Revenge series was published.

A quick getaway to QLD with my youngest geokid for some warmer weather and took the opportunity to grab a few caches.
This cache was a nice cruise back and forrh until all was found.. excepto for A, bit we had a hunch and colrds confirmed by PAF. Then GZ was no luck. Pretty sure we found the housing almost spot on to GZ but was empty. Seems to have gone. Checked below but could do with a check from CO please.
Thanks to suscoe for the fun and the adventure.

A great trip up and down the streets searching for the letterboxes. 2 prooved elusive until finally we spotted one. it gets easier as you elimate a fewas already found.
We had trouble on the last one, but worked it out and GZ seemed likely. A search then showed we had the correct spot and CO confirmed we can log the cache.
Thanks suscoe for the cache.

At 9am Thursday morning Rex and I got back to Shepp[|)] after driving all night to get home[|)][|)] from 6 days away near Mildura Then today, for something different we headed for Geelong to attend 2 events
We were both still tired when we left for this trip[|)][|)][|)] so the weekend was a slow one[^][|)][^][^][^]
Saturday's tally was 2 events attended: a CITO[^][^] and a debrief afterwards, an adv lab completed and 3 caches found[^][^]
After our 1st ever Airbnb booking on Saturday night[^][|)][^] where we had a good sleep, Rex and I spent almost 2 hours at Torquay Beach where he did the usual chasing seagulls and swimming after his ball
Sunday's tally was 4 caches found and 2 DNFs
On a previous visit to Torquay, I'd done the drive[^], done the maths[^], done the search[^][^] and DNF'd this cache Pretty sure I had even PAF'd then but to no avail
Today I PAF'd the CO and was given a clear idea of where GZ was[:X][^]
Yep that was where I had been scrounging and digging for almost an hour again today[?][?] and was also where I had scrounged and dug last visit[?][?] I sent pics to the CO to confirm my suspected hiding spot[^][^]
A few days later, I received permission to log as the CO had now gone to check and the cache was actually missing[xx(][xx(]
Still, Rex and I enjoyed our walks and the time spent in this lovely area

Solving this cache too the majority of our geocaching day. We had four eager spotters in the car including MzEmma, our chauffeur for the day. We picked up brand new geocacher, Fenella, in Torquay where she lives and she got to see places she didn’t know about yet! Cybergran V and I completed the team. We trolled the streets up and down, back and forth but just couldn’t find one. In the end the COs were called for help. They gave us the final number we needed and confirmed the others we’d collected we right. On checking the last house we understood why we couldn’t find that letterbox. It wasn’t there any more! The original house had been replaced with two! We notified the COs about the changes. They’ll have to modify their information page.
Then off to GZ . We found that approaching from the other side of the creek was far too steep, even for the most agile of of our team. We found a longer, more gentle approach along a walking track. MzEmma followed her GPS down the steep terrain towards GZ and the creek while Fenella rested on a convenient seat along the track. Defeat was acknowledged and we gave up, reluctantly. On speaking to the CO later we discovered where we had gone wrong, we don’t understand how, maybe overcast skies and tree cover. We were so close, but yet so far. The COs gave us permission to log, although Fenella, being local , as MzEmma will go back to sign the log for us.
It’s a tough but fun and adventurous cache, well worth a favourite point from me. Thanks Suscoe!

Our prime target for today. I seem to remember Muggle Hubby and I driving up and down these streets four years ago to no avail.
This time with MzEmma at the wheel, me riding shotgun, and Surefoot24 and Fenella as back seat spotters, we traversed all the streets. Eagle eyed Emma was the quickest to spot most of them even though she was driving and dodging other traffic on the roads as well.
We found all but one so rang the CO who confirmed all the ones we had found were correct, and were given the missing number. We went back to the spot and the house had recently been converted to two houses with new letterboxes.
Then we retired to Maccas for refreshments and a comfy spot to sit to do our sums before setting out to locate the cache.
Thanks Suscoe, it was a very interesting drive around the area, we all feel we now know Torquay streets very well.

My friend, K9team, needs to do a lot of moving in the next few weeks As part of all that movement, I picked up an item she'd bought from Shepparton and delivered the item plus my trailer to her at Bendigo[^][^]
Bendigo is close to Geelong so I figured I'd just keep travelling and end up in Geelong to go for a night cache maintenance walk with Bushfire[^][^]
On the way, I needed to stop at Daylesford to check some information for an adv lab that I have been considering[?][?][?]
Then I noticed another reason to stop at Daylesford: a new Virtual cache[^]
My apologies to all those who kindly waited for me to arrive at the Geelong meeting point[:X][:X]
Thank you for slowly starting the night cache![:X][:X]
Following the night cache walk, a few of the group stayed back to find a couple of puzzle caches (with thanks to those in the group who had solved them[:X]) then noworries and nirgalagrin allowed me to tag along to complete a Bushfire adv lab[^] The adv lab was easy: the bonus cache which we found at 00:30 tried to kill us all
Rex and I then headed off to sleep[|)][|)][|)][|)] but after setting up camp, it took me some hours to fall asleep[xx(] Hence the morning was a slow start and the day did not improve much as I looked for 4 caches and only found 2 I also tried to work out a multi but could not get the coords to make sense so I gave up and just headed home
Considering the goal of this trip was to spend time caching with Bushfre[^][:X][^] and to get Rex to the beach[:X][^], the 7 cache finds were a bonus The pair of DNFs were not a bonus!
DNF! I drove[^], I searched letterboxes[^], I found all bar one and couldn't work out where I had missed it[?], I juggled numbers[^], I drove[^] and then walked to GZ[^], I searchged[^] and searched[^], I PAFd[:X], I searched some more[^] and then finally gave up and headed to another cache nearby

Mad cache! Couldn’t find one the letter boxes, think the building was under construction but didn’t need it to find the GZ. Awesome camo
Back in town for another couple of days caching with Ski Pair. This cache was chosen for my 21,000 cache find, being a puzzle cache and as a thank you to Suscoe for all the creative caches and friendship.
Thanks for the cache Legion.
Thanks for the cache Legion.
After circling around trying to dodge the road works we finally found a parking spot to set out for this one. In the end it was a quick find, which is always nice after completing the puzzle. A nicely crafted container.
Another day, another time we have teamed up with Rebel Acts to explore the scenic Bellarine Peninsula. Once again we are signing our logs as either SKI Pair, Rebel Acts or RASH. We have been in the area for well over a week now and still have a lot of unfound caches on our map. We’ve had a great time in the area with Rebel, his experience with caching is much larger than ours so we are learning as well as having a great time. Lots of trash talk about “amateur’s” versus “professionals” has caused quite a bit of laughter.
Thanks to all the local cache owners for giving us so many great caches, and showcasing this lovely area. We won’t manage to clean the area out this time, so we will need to come back another time. And we will be looking forward to it.

So close, yet so far!
I have had this cache sitting on my desk for the last 8 months, I was going to do it during the first lockdown that we went into.
This time around I was cleaning my bench and thought I would give it a crack!
What's funny is I had a feeling that I had to do this cache, and that gut feeling was correct.
Over the last few months, I have litrally walked past this cache almost every day.
I have walked around GZ when i wondered where the tracks went, and I never saw the container!
Crazy!
Thanks Susco for a great cahce that i KNEW i had to do!

Being such a beautiful winter's day we decided that we had to get out of the house and thought that we would try our luck at a couple of labs and what ever popped up on screen as we were driving around and we are glad that we did.
As we had spotted a couple of these letterbox's whilst driving around we thought that we should finish off and try to find the rest of them. Well that turned out to be not one of our best ideas as it took us a lot longer to collect the information than we had hoped but once you commit to something you have to follow it through.
Finally we had a set of co-ords to follow and we mistakenly tried to get close. This put us on the wrong side of a natural barrier so off we went again and found the correct way in and we are very happy to say that once we got to gz the well camo'd cache was located quite quickly exactly where the GPSr said that it should be.
Many thanks suscoe for placing the cache and an interesting puzzle.

Suscoe headed down to Torquay this morning to replace the old container with a brand new one with camo.
Thanks to The_sims family for letting us know the old container needed some TLC.
We also rectified some cache creep and popped this one back in its original spot.
All good to go for the next searcher.
The Postman is happy again!!!!!

Sims_family mum and the kids had done all the work for this one quite some time ago but mum somehow managed to misplace the note book all the notes were taken in. After the coordinates were finally revealed many months after starting the cache they were entered into the cache page for Dad to find when he was in the vicinity while working.
Today was just that day with a job that had me very near to GZ and I was in need of a cache for the day for my daily caching streak too.
At GZ I quickly spotted the well crafted hide that is showing signs of where so after the log book was signed a quick call to the CO was in order. I expect in the very near future the next finder will find a freshly crafted cammo'ed hide.
Thank you suscoe for a well designed mystery

Super cool idea for a mystery, travelled on foot until all but one letterbox was found, but restored to a car for the final one. Cache was quickly located after getting co-ords

Took us a while, and quite a bit of walking around. After a few hours we had 6/7 so we decided to drive to some less likely spots and happily found the last one. TFTC

Started this when it was first published but found I was getting nowhere. My powers of observation need to improve quite a bit.
Kept on coming back and progressing as would a snail. The variety of letterboxes kept my interest and of course i love Torquay. It is lucky that I have friends nearby in Jan Juc. That was a good excuse to keep coming back.
In the end a good set of numbers was calculated and then it was another puzzle to reach GZ. As always I doubted my calculations but then decided that since I was already there I would explore.
Found the nicely camoed container in between walkers passing by.
Thanks for the fun suscoe and another FP added to your collection.

Wow that was a fun cache to solve! I’d say it’s one of my favourites so far. TFTC!
Managed to collect the clues a while ago. Today to finish off. Finally found it in the morning. Thanks for the mystery cache.
We finally found this ripper of a cache. We had to ask the postie for help but he didn’t even Know. Definitely worthy of a favourite
Suscoe dropped by Postman's Revenge Four today to deliver a new cache container.
The old camo was a bit tired.
The new camo looks much better and the postman is happy once again.

In November 2018 my husband and I traveled to Australia to attend the Parkville Mega Event in Melbourne. It was my first time in Australia, and his first time in Melbourne, and we spend an amazing 10 days that ended way too soon.
This was the first cache of this kind that I had seen and I was excited to solve the puzzle. We started out driving around and were quite successful. It was raining so this activity was kind of perfect. As it was getting dark we ran into some confusion and decided to continue on the next day. In the end we had to ask a previous finder for help who gave us a good hint that was unexpected, but I feel like I should have known
Before we left Torquay we were able to get the final as well.
Thanks for the fun!

One half of the team is back in Albury whilst the other (moi) is touring the GOR - its a hard life but someone's gotta do it. Unfortunately all the GPS units that are still working are back north which has left me with the trusty old iPhone ... I REALLY don't like caching with iphones! We had started this puzzle on another foray down this part of Oz but, of course, the previous workings were not anywhere handy - so I had to start from scratch......not that I minded as I loved the Tour de Torquay. With all the info collected and the maths done last evening, google maps indicated that my GZ was in a likely area however I couldn't be certain via a checker....c'est la vie! This morning was the test - off I set with the iPhone taking me to a, lets say, less than approachable way to GZ (although I was going to give it a crack if I only wore something other than thongs!). A quick recheck and another way to GZ ascertained, I was thwarted to go on a quick jog by the aforementioned thongs - what was I thinking this morning!?! I got to the area of GZ where the iPhone was ping, ping, pinging....bloomin' iPhone grrrr. Trying not to doubt my numbers I continued the search and after about a 5min scour of the area the nicely camo'd container was discovered. It was a quick sign as there were low flying torpedo bombers cleverly disguised as mosquitos on the attack. After rehiding the cache I tried to run away but of course, some bright spark thought it was a good idea to wear thongs today (face smack). Of course this was a wonderful caching adventure, our thanks to suscoe for highlighting Torquay in this way via your cache, very nicely done. Cheers
First time in Vic for my bday wind and wanted this to be a special one for my first in We had a lot of fun so awarding a fave. Tftc
Really cool puzzle. We had so much doing this. Visiting this area today on our weekend away from Sydney to attend the Mega event. Fav point from us.
TFTC. We were in Torquay for the weekend with our Motorhome Group. With a little bit of time we took the geo-car out along the streets and managed to find all but one of the post boxes. The last one eluding us until we asked a quaestion of the CO. The CO gave us a hint and this morning we were able to find the last box and do the necessary calculations. We pulled up about 50 metres from GZ according to the GPS. No real access then we spotted a path. We drove about 100 metres and parked the GZ was now 190 metres away but the access was easy. The find was quick. SL Thnakd Suscoe for an entertaining puzzle.
Find No. 2378. Found at 12.05pm.
Down in Anglesea for the weekend with Geodog Penny to take her back to the beach, have a look around and of course do some caching. FUF009 came with us this time.
Last time we were down here in June, we searched the streets by walking and driving but was unable to find all the letterboxes. We contacted the owner who gave us a hint. Now back in the area again, we actually checked out her hint which gave us all the numbers to find the cache. FUF009 had worked this one out a different way to us and although he had the final co-ords we still wanted to do it our way. Another one off our list from down this way.
TFTC suscoe and for the hint way back in June.

Find # 7201
Found with Tyred n Cranky.
Down in Anglesea for a weekend family trip. While Tyred n Cranky had found quite a few in the area they decided to stop at a lot of them to let me claim some smilies.
Tyred n Cranky had tried to work this one out on a previous visit but were stumped on a couple of boxes
In prep for this trip i had used Google earth to help with working out the final, While logical to use it im guessing it would have taken less time to drive the streets than to "Google" the streets.
But in the end and with both sets of information we made the calculation and made our way to the cache. This was quite an interesting walk up to GZ.

We flew to Melbourne last night, getting in extremely late, then this morning headed to Maryborough to collect my mum before heading to Torquay for a short holiday. This was actually solved in Tassie before we left......got most of the information using the geogoogle and possible a bit of a guess but added up and looked good on the map! We weren't too sure where the best entrance was but we felt we made a good decision! Love the cammo on the container. We have since gone past most of the streets and we feel as though we know these streets quite well. Thanks for the challenge.
Yay
Our first mystery cache and this was great fun!
Took us a few passes on the streets to get them all but made it in the end
And our coords initially took us to the wrong side of the creek which was also clearly not the right spot as access was looking pretty difficult
But once we looked on the other side it was clear we were in the right cache location and it was soon found
A fab fun arvo, thanks!

Joint effort with donaldboy and geokath - 3 days in the making. Fell into all the traps the CO laid for us, but we got there in the end. Good holiday fun thanks suscoe
Pretty happy when we'd found the last letterbox and finally the cache. Great time riding the streets of Torquay. TFTC.
Had a great wander around the older streets of Torquay yesterday. Stealthily trying to identify letterbox's, while what seemed like the whole population of visitors and locals watched on with suspicion. We must have looked like we were preparing for some devious action to come. LOL If you saw us you would know how improbable that might be.
Got them all including one mischievous one, so it was off to GZ this morning, hoping not to get muggled by all the dog walkers and lycra comfort wearers.
OH SUSCOE, (read Cisco, if old enough lol) you have done it again. What a great cache in a great spot. You and yours are a credit to support this hobby. Very well done indeed. TFTC, TNLN.

A little TLC on the camo and all was good.
Replaced the log book too.

Apologies for generic log. Now 8 months behind on logging and really need to catch up. Fantastic time caching in Melbourne again. Many thanks for the effort.

Was down in Victoria for the Surf Coast Mega with KerriMG and found ourselves out this way.
I saw this puzzle and thought it sounded like the type of puzzle KerriMG would like and I was correct. It took us 2 laps to find the one remaining letterbox.
We thought we knew where the final would lead us but we were wrong. Then we started on the wrong side of the creek. But finally we made the find.

Found on Day 3 of Surf Coast Event four day adventure.
This was one of many puzzles we solved Thanks for organising the event home before our travels south. Today the job was to finish off the puzzle by hunting down and finding the caI qualified for the challenge cache as follows;e. Always enjoy a good puzzle.
Today we made our way to Anglesea for the Mega Event, including the official opening, and of course those elusive lab caches, before heading back to Geelong to the tackle the Its Puzzle Time series, and a pleasant drive through the You Yangs. And to make it a long and productive day, some night caching along Portarlington Road to finish things off!
Thanks suscoe for putting out the cache and the hunt!

The day of the Surf Coast Mega had finally arrived. We (Gunnie69, The Green Geckos, Ghost Gums and myself) had teamed up for an assault on some carefully chosen puzzles caches (read that as the ones we were actually able to solve), earth caches, challenges, letterboxes and a smattering of other caches thrown into the mix to make it more interesting. Quality, not quantity was our mantra on this quest. But it still hurt to have to leave so many left unfound...
Having started today a little later than we had intended, we were trying to make up for lost time this morning and still make it to the mega in a timely manner. But somehow we kept getting sidetracked by unusual DT combos and such, but we still got there for the formalities, just.
This cache was one we stopped for on the way to the mega, seeing as how one of the team had done the legwork the hard way (well done Jan!!) I tried doing it online but my pc didn't like that game and kept freezing, so left it to do when we got here, time permitting. Cache found, smileys collected. All is good in the world. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache suscoe.

On our visit to sunny Victoria, Ghostgums, The Green Geckos, Mistraluna and I had a couple of these caches to tick off during our travels. Homework done (probably the harder way as it tuned out) we headed in to the final location and the neatly camoed container was revealed. [^]
Ghostgums did the log retrieving honours and added a group sticker to the log, then tucked the cache back in place. All done, it was time to head off.
Thanks for another well constructed cache suscoe.

We've been working on Suscoe caches for a little while now and today was an excellent time yo turn the red flags into smileys. Working out the coords I wasn't confident enough to jump in the car without a geochecker so of course I bothered team Suscoe... again! With the green light and a 100% correct - woohoo! We made our way to GZ. Of course we went to the wrong side first. We trekked to the right side and littlest made the find which, as we all know first find of the day gets to choose lunch! So now we have a PMR under our belt, the littlest is smiling because he gets Maccas for lunch and the sun is shining. It's going to be a great day!

I've had this solved for over a yr but never got around to grabbing it. So needing a puzzle for the mission impossible souvenir I had a reason to grab it. The way I took was almost mission impossible but with an almost invisible track I arrived close But with my phone kept freezing, so struggled at GZ. I found a spot to PAF but still struggling with reception I widened the search area. Then spotted the well camouflaged cache with the ding of the phone as if to poke fun at me. Signed and replaced as found.

Down in Torquay for a quiet drive, when Jinky asked if there were any caches. Only this puzzle one John replied. So off we went. Rule number one -- don't make assumptions, which John did. Fortunately the first cache found demolished one, and the next couple offinds demolished the second one. GZ was quite well known to John, and the direct route to the cache resulted in a quick find. Lovely well made cache, very much muggle-proof. We had a moment's panic when we realised we had no scribble stick, however there was one in the cache. TNLN, SL, TFTC!
GeoMum and GeoPa live in Torquay, so we've taken advantage of the school holidays to turn a few more coloured boxes into smilies. Last night after dinner we decided a walk was in order, and decided that the streets of this cache would be a nice place to walk, and we could check out the letterboxes on the way.
GeoMum goes walking in this area quite a bit and could narrow down where three of the letterboxes were. Sure enough, the first letterbox was found very quickly, then another, a third, and a fourth. We were doing well! It was getting dark but with just a few streets to cover and three letterboxes to find, we continued the hunt.
One of the GeoKids needed a toilet stop so we separated, with GeoPa and the other GeoKid finding our fifth and sixth letterboxes.
Oh, but that elusive seventh! In an effort to limit the time needed I had made an assumption that did not seem to be right. We weren't convinced and backtracked a bit. It was getting dark and late (way past the GeoKids' bedtime!) so we headed home.
On the way home the GeoKids questioned me on my assumption. Fortunately they could see the logic in it and now know what a red herring is!
I reassessed our street coverage and today on the way home from swimming lessons at Cosy Corner got the GeoKids to keep a look out while I drove up one of the streets again. The three of us were very excited to spot the seventh letterbox and recorded its number.
At home I used the calculations to determine the coordinates. We know where that is! Another after dinner walk took GeoMum and I to the GZ where a brief search unearthed the clever hide in its hiding place.
Thank you for the letterbox adventure! All in good condition.

Staying in a resort for the weekend and this was one of the local caches that we targeted.
In the rapidly fading daylight, most waypoints were found.
Two or three eluded us so we came back this morning and quite quickly loced the remainder of the required information.
A mathematical blunder saw us on the wrong side at GZ.
After a quick stop into a garage sale and then we continued to where we needed to be.
Chris did most of the work on this one, including spotting the cache.
Thank you for getting us to drive around this quaint area and also for the cache suscoe

Some post exam destress / reward caching took me down to Torquay - Anglesea this afternoon. A nice winter day with a tiny bit of chill in the air. Great to explore this area.
Had been saving this cache for a while and it was a great afternoon to do it. Must say I cut more than a few laps of these streets with u-turns in about 20 driveways! What a good feeling when I spotted a letterbox I was looking for.
Got stuck on one, however my phone seemed to be showing b as the wrong image, however a paf soon cleared that up. I then had sights set on GZ - I used earth to give me the best route in and made my way to the well camouflaged container. Thanks Suscoe for the brilliant and innovate cache - really was something different - a favorite from me!

A fun cache that took a bit of time to find all of the letterboxes. We thought we had worked it out, but were Perplexed by one of the streets were we couldn't find one. Once we got over that hurdle we had all the numbers then it was a walk to grab it. Nice camo and cache. TFTC.

We had a birthday party to attend today so we left home early to pick up a few caches and a few waymarks too. This was third and last on the list today. We gathered what we needed and made our way to the final resting place. We parked in the wrong spot, wondered if we could cross and decided against it. I moved the geo vehicle and still a little tricky negotiating my way to GC. Finally got there and this clever container was found quickly. Stamped and returned as found.

Finally! Came down last week to finish converting the Torquay area into smilies. Started this also last week and had all but one letterbox found struggling to locate the 'A' letterbox.
Found the others pretty quickly and had a likely set of co-ords after fiddling with the numbers at home and was back in the area today to come and collect.
I took the hard way to GZ following my gps and later found there was a path right to it. Came up with the goods pretty quick after waiting for a passing muggle jog away
Thanks suscoe for the puzzle and mini tour of Torquay

We finally got to finish off the last of the Postman Revenge series tonight after waiting out the holiday season. Unfortunately our photos were out dated but we soon realised after rechecking the Description that they had been updated recently. It was fun searching for the particular letter boxes with much satisfaction when ticking off each one as we progressed along.
After doing the math for the final, we planned out the best way to approach GZ and headed off to find somewhere to park the car. As it was now dark we used torch light to navigate along the paths and to search for this very clever camouflaged container.
Thanks Suscoe for another great puzzle and hide.

The Grand Tour of Torquay has been on the cards ever since it was published. Today, finally, was the day for our tour: nice and warmish cool, a slight breeze, perfect for lingering around a few streets, focussing on the postie's bread and butter: finding addresses to deliver the mail. We started off by driving up and down the designated streets, coming up with only two of the seven addresses we needed. Ok, that was to be expected, so, out of the Wings, time for "Schusters Rappen".
Oh, before we do that, we should really strengthen ourselves with a nice lunch. Yum, it was very nice indeed. And then: Up, down, up, down. Yay, another one found, and another one. We are doing well, have got 6, just one missing. We decided to split our team and walk around the block - two walkers, twice as much terrain covered. The vulture met a lady who was distributing advertising material - surely, if anyone (apart from the postie) is an expert, she would be?! She looked at our print-out, smiled and nodded: Yes, there is one of them in that street! Ok, phone alert made sure we both reunited at said street, and again we went up and down, up and down. To no avail. Meanwhile, some of the Torquay residents were looking at us as if to say: "not sure if you need help or if you are going to knock on our doors to sell us a remedy for lost souls". We certainly felt more like lost souls ourselves and decided to sit down and try deducing GZ, based on what we had gathered so far.
YES, breakthrough! A set of believable coordinates eventuated, with two alternatives as back-ups. Off we went, to try our preferred option. Got to within 50 metres of the suggested GZ, then the terrain went well above its rating of 2. Alright, another access route had to be attempted. Yes, this looked promising. As we were approaching GZ, we lay low to let a couple of walkers pass. While we were standing around as stealthily as we could, we saw something less than pleasing: An open container, lid in front of it, something that looked very much like a cache. Once the walkers were out of sight and out of earshot, we investigated this container. Yes, indeed, it was the cache. There were still a lot of swaps inside, as well as the dry logbook in its plastic bag. Nothing seemed to be missing, even the camo is still in pretty good nick. Just the fact that it was open, and a suspicious log in the book, suggest that it has been found by muggles. Mail and photos will be sent to COs.
We signed the log, closed the lid and re-hid the container where we had found it.
This has been a great few hours, we experienced a lot of head-scratching, some healthy walking and a few good laughs.
Btw, we issued the residents who wanted to know what we were up to with a mail redirection to [email protected]. Hope that is alright! Postage paid with a "favourite" stamp.

This cache has been on our To Do List for such a long time. The information was collected on a very wet and windy day in Torquay sometime back in April! Pushed for time we opted to take the information home, do the calculations and return for the find - little did we suspect it would be eight months later! We were very happy to find the mail had not been re-directed!
Thanks to suscoe for the hunt.

We (G&JMelb) arrived here on holidays in Torquay last night whilst MMelb is on a School World Challnge trip and is currently in Cambodia! This morning we went to the Farmers Market and then of course had to vote (absentee voting is the best, no queueing!!!) We set off for some caching and this was next on the list.
We had spent some time this morning gathering some of the info, then some more in the early arvo but then we were a bit stumped ... Eventually all became clear ... Sneaky!!
Getting access to GZ was tricky too, the car GPS took us to the wrong side of a barrier. Finally we were able to gain access to the nice little track & GMelb went bush to find the cache

After the GOR yesterday mogni and both halves of brisal ended up in Torquay.
After trying to do this by Google map surfing the night before all we had were 2 possibles and sore eyes. So we set of by car with 3 pairs of eyes scouring the streets. We fell for suscoe's trap and abandoned each street after finding each letterbox. Sneaky. Got to the end and had a street with none and one letterbox short. Either do them all again or get mogni the maths wizz to work her mojo. She did and gave us a solution which we decided to try first. And we got the cache. Thanks suscoe.
Then we Google surfed the recalcitrant number into all the streets again and sure enough..there it was.

This looked like a fun challenge to do as a group, even a geowidow was keen to try this one! We used some technology initially but eventually decided the manual method would be best. Found all bar one but had enough info to calculate final GZ.
Thanks for a fun yet challenging cache.

A nice drive around Torquay today saw us grab all the required numbers. We then ended up at a spot that gave us a bit of deja-vu. We had a short search at GZ, mainly because we didn't look hard enough at first, and then a hurried signing of the log as we were getting attacked by killer mozzies. Thanks for a good hunt and showing us some interesting mail boxes around and about.
Spending a few days in Torquay so decided to grab a few caches. Here with sulkybear and our 2 geokids (ages 3 & 5). What a totally awesome cache! Great idea! We went up and down streets and were short one letterbox. Went back to caravan park so kids could have a play. I emailed CO but in the interim did the maths. I knew which number I was missing so plugged in waypoint and it looked feasible but wanted to double check (and dragging kids around is no fun if it's a DNF). So knowing missing number we went back to streets and found missing letterbox straight away and my coords we right. So off we headed (but wrong side)! Back in car and off again. Was a nice easy find by master 5 when we arrived. Very cool camo on the cache too! Great hide! Def a fav point from me
Judging by how long it took us to do this cache, we won't ever complain about our mail being late! It was easier having two eyes on the lookout at we cruised up and down the streets. We got sidetracked by a red herring and it took a little longer to find the last remaining number (though a quick calculation had us in the number range). An enjoyable walk through a familiar area in Torquay. Glad to get this puzzle cracked. TFTC
Well I gotta say that was a fun little cruise around Toquay one street we had to do twice but that worked out well enough with a park at the end of the street we had somewhere to park and work out GZ . Then we where off to find a park as close as we could get to it as SweetRebelTee's knee was still a bit unwell a nice walk along the path had us close to GZ and with a quick look around the cleverly camouflaged container was spotted and the log was signed, contents and container are in good order Tftc took brainy smurf TB to move on
This one has been and extremely long and winding process for us.
It began around a month ago when we had our first look for the physical letterboxes on the various streets. This resulted in them all being found except for B but after a quick email to the cache owner we were given some useful information and the next day we had the letterbox found. Now we wanted to do this one for our 200th cache milestone however despite being an accelerated maths student geoson isn't so good at maths on a tiny piece of paper at a car going 100km per hour .
We then went to search for the cache for about an hour however we had to give up. Another email to the cache owner told us we had the wrong coordinates (oops) but Suscoe kindly gave us the correct easterlies. We had planned to do it earlier however we were thwarted by rain.
Today we came to find the cache which took us a good ten minutes. We were pretty sure of our coordinates and geodad eventually put his hand on the brilliant cache. We dropped of two TBs and went on our way.
A definite favourite from us (and its nice to finally find a cache by a team that we respect so much)/

Did the gutter crawling a while back and attended the cache site today while on an errand to Torquay. Needed a cache today to fill a calendar gap. Took me quite a while at GZ to find this neat and beautifully camouflaged cache. To my surprise I found it in an area that I usually can't find caches. Thanks very much to suscoe cachers for this great and challenging cache. A favourite for me.
Started to worry after not finding B letterbox, but after further searching nearby attacked the maths.
After approved 100 % from the maths master it was off to find GZ. Found the tubular decoy & admit it caused some doubt, continued looking & was surprised by a muggle with pusher. She then carried on up the path & I kept searching & Yahooo got it. Nice concealment suscoe, & thanks heaps for your effort in making this such a challenge.

I started this guy several weeks ago after dropping the Geomonkey at a friend's house on the holidays. For quite some time, the geoboys and I cruised the streets looking for boxes. By the time we finished, we had located all but two and I figured I'd better move on before I had a mutiny on my hands .
Despite a concerted effort to locate the missing boxes online, I was still two boxes short and somehow I didn't quite manage to get back to have a look, until yesterday that was. I had come down to grab the letterbox cache and after a fortuitous meeting with the CO (during which no useful information was exchanged), I was inspired to have another look for those two missing boxes.
Fortunately I had a limited number of streets to search and I soon turned up one mailbox. The final, was a sneaky little beggar as I found that the photo somewhat misled me, but fortunately I spotted it on the second pass. But by then it was time for school pick up, so the calculations and the find would have to wait....until today...
With a set of numbers in hand, I wisely asked for Google Earth's opinion and was told that the final hide was located several hundred metres off the coast . Hardly a T2! Back to check the maths! Yep! Proved once again that I am a far better writer than a mathematician - what's new??
So, with the correct calculations and a much more likely GZ, I headed up the road to Torquay once again. I approached GZ and found a likely hiding spot but still needed to check some logs for a second opinion before having the confidence to look more thoroughly where the GPSr was pointing me. This proved a wise decision as I soon had the cleverly camouflaged cache in hand.
I signed the log and headed off for what I hoped (somewhat vainly) would be a couple more quick finds before heading home.
Thanks suscoe! A favourite for the puzzle and the hide !

DNF for us on this one.
Yesterday we found all of the letterboxes except for B. A quick email with a quick response helped us realise where we had gone wrong (thanks Suscoe).
B was found this morning and we soon had coordinates. We decided we wanted this one to be our 200th cache but we got a big fat DNF .
We are pretty sure of our coordinates as there is a LOT of trampled vegetation around which we sadly have contributed too.
There were lots of possible hides but with the GPS signal bouncing around and wet ground we just couldn't find this sneaky cache
Thanks anyway Suscoe- we will be back.

What a cunning, creative, cheeky, constructive cache concealment. Sounds easy right? Cruise the streets of Torquay and pick a box.
(Did you know that in Christchurch there is a by-law banning cruising with $1000 fine?)
So I cruised and ticked off the boxes, all except one - oh no, how could I miss? Another careful cruise and the deception was revealed!
I think the cruise could be extended to take in some of Torquay's newer areas.
Having done the easy maths, it was off to search for the cache itself. Spotted a possible, but false alarm.
Finally trusted that the GPS was pointing to the right spot and the clever cache was revealed.

On the evening that this guy was published I quickly printed all the CN's but as I only have black this made things a little more difficult and then a call to juc_cacher to see what he was up and he had already found the first letter box and as I was half an hour away I decided that I would leave him to it.
A couple of days ago I decided that it was time to head down to Torquay and check out these letter box's. It is a little difficult on your own because as you are concentrating on letter box's you keep getting a toot from other drivers to keep moving.
After driving up and down all the streets and one twice I had all bar one and by this time it was time to head home as the N G Wife was planning on going out for dinner. On my arrival home this idea had gone out the window as I was so late but I enjoyed the left overs reheated.
OK I will be honest here it was "B" that I missed and it should be the easiest to spot so it was time to try my hand at the maths with what I had but here I failed again, as I had a 2 which should have been a 1. With missing B I could work out a number of options but a call to a previous finder gave me the correct number as I had a choice of three and this was the middle one. Other than this he was not very forthcoming but using GE and street view I found the missing letter box and street so it was confirmed as the number that I was missing.
Today after gym I decided to head off down to Torquay again and test out the set of co-ords and they were perfect as the GPS took me straight to the cache. Now a lot of work has gone into producing this cache and the container is a work of art so a favourite point from me for the time and effort required to get this guy up and out there for us to find. Well done suscoe cachers.
These guys are tricky puzzlers and hiders so check the streets carefully and I mean all the street.

We so enjoyed this puzzle! We were afraid we may be arrested for curb crawling but persevered. Had all but one and couldn't find the little beggar. Suscoe you are a little devil ! Eventually we had the missing link and headed off to GZ. We found the cache within 10 minutes. Thanks for he cache. This get a favourite from us. Greetings from Greece.
2nd to find. Saw this one come out on Sunday but had to leave it til we could find some free time. As Tuesday night had no commitments for once, thought we could restart our Tuesday caching night with libZhat, but unfortunately her meeting ran too long, so was left to 2/3rds of geordiefamily to take this one on. Geokid and I headed off to identify house numbers, and all seemed straightforward at first. Numbers were quickly found, except for one. We ran through a few ideas, then After curb crawling one street around 8 x was sure we were going to get the police called on us, so decided to head for another cache that geokid wanted to do. As we drove away geokid screeched at me that we'd just passed the letterbox we were looking for, then we realised the deception. Very clever suscoe cachers you nearly had us. Worked out the calculations and headed for GZ. Was just beginning to get dark and geokid was being swamped by mozzies, so we had to make this search quick. Luckily coords were spot on and cache was soon in hand, log signed and retreated quickly to the car before geokid became one big itchy blob. Tftc suscoe. Fave point again from us.

Woohoo ! FTF at 20:35 (or so), find #558.
A weekend that started with goecaching puzzles ends with geocaching puzzles...how symmetrical.
I was just going through the photos from the carnage among the boats at a truncated Fairhaven surf carnival today when the email came through.
A new cache within a few KM of home....I had a serious chance ! Printed out the cache notes and then kid the suspicious kerbside crawl identifying letter boxes. I eventually found them all but one and pulled up to see if I could extrapolate based on the ones I had.
I did the sums, which resulted in a set of coordinates that looked feasible, so entered them into Google Maps on the phone and headed off. I approached GZ from the wrong side, which put it somewhere that didn't quite look right. A quick Geochecker...ie a call to the CO...confirmed my answers was correct, but that my angle of approach was wrong. A quick adjustment of parking spot and I was on my way.
By now it was getting pretty dark, which made the tricky container even trickier to find, but after a couple of false alarms, there it was !
Signed the log, did a happy dance, replaced the container and home to a dinner that had to be nuked.
Unfortunately, the scratchie didn't contribute to the juc_cacher retirement fund, so back to work for me tomorrow.
Thanks for the cache and the confirmation Suscoe !
