We have travelled up from Sydney, to spend a week or so in Tamworth & Nundle for the April school holidays, staying at the Big4 Paradise caravan park in our Jayco Swan outback camper trailer. Today we were visiting Marsupial Park and Oxley Lookout, and targeting caches in those locations and others around the East Tamworth area.
No luck for us with this one today. Looked around GZ for about 20 minutes but just couldn't spot it. Might have another go before we leave Tamworth. TFTH anyway.

Well, it's time to head for home after a weekend at Supanova on the gold Coast. I made it to Armidale last night - and started early so I could grab plenty of caches along the way to break the long drive to Sydney - hoping to grab more caches to count towards the *NSW State Challenge* cache (GC3CA9M).
Got 12 today and made it home a bit after 8pm. And the Geowife is out with friends! Oh well. Microwave dinner for me.
Top trip and grabbed plenty of caches.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
After grabbing a late breakfast I made my way here to eat it and look for the cache. I was only successful in one of the two activities.
Nothing spotted, especially in two very likely spots.
Then my search was stymied by the arrival of some council workers. Time to move on.

Off we rode for nearly 5 hours around Tamworth! Oh the things we have seen albeit finding caches along the way.
Oh how embarassing. Took us way to loong to find this cache. But find it we did and signed the log.

Found on journey away from the Mega. We are staing in Tamworth for a couple of days, getting the washing done, repairing things etc. Dedicated some time to sightseeing and a few caches as well.
In the late afternoon we jumped on the bikes and headed out to the Salvos, they were closed but we were able to find a cache instead.

We strolled to this cache via the ducks galore cache. Luckily we don't suffer from ducks disease as that would have made retrieval a lot more difficult.

QLD Mega trip 2015 with Sol de Lune. On this almost 400km road trip we drove from Canberra to Stanthorpe caching in all the towns along the way with mostly great success. Around the Mega there were heaps of caches to be done including a few power trails. Despite the weather we got all of the planned caches done.
Day three was spent caching around Tamworth and then watching the cricket world cup at the amazing camp ground kitchen. We managed to make very hard work of this one, even though it should not have been an issue. Thanks.

After dinner nearby, we had time to squeeze in a few more finds before turning in. Thanks for the good hint as it was difficult searching in the dark. Thanks Cyclone98.

Election Day for NSW. Rather than being inside putting numbers in little boxes, we were out and about this afternoon with fellow Victorians Ian & Penny, opening the little green boxes on our map of Tamworth. Further from where we parked than we estimated, but the cache was quickly in hand without reference to the hint.
Our thanks to Cyclone_98 for bringing us here.

Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.

Thanks for the hunt today,

Hello from Nelson Bay, NSW! I'm up in Tamworth for a few weeks on uni placement, and of course geocaching! Found this on my way to the Peel St Markets. A muggle was exercising on the oval, I hope I didn't look too sus! Cache in good condition. TFTC!
Well making my way towards for some reason I had it in mind where this cache was as I thought I read it was high (just looked back don't know where I got that from) I thought to myself how high and I hope not. Looked at retinas and thought no no no I been walking all day I don't want to go up there, but I even messed this up reading them back to front. Fortunately with more good luck then good management cache was in hand within about 15sec.
Not sure I would like doing this one with a train overhead.

My three month Brisbane adventure has started. Day 5, Gunnedah to Armidale
Today, I was again up at six thirty to take the GeoSchnauzers for a walk in the "cool" of the morning, down tom the local park. Then we packed, and left the motel to get breakfast. At this point, I developed a soft spot for Gunnedah. The previous night, my motel key fell out of my pocket while I was giving the dogs their feed and evening walk. I had to knock up the motel keeper to get into my room. I retraced my steps, and found the key this morning. Then, just about to get for a brekky place, I looked for my wallet. No sign of it. Curses!!! Back to the motel. Not in the room. Not in the car or my luggage. The staff were sympathetic and helpful. I figured I'd dropped it somewhere between the pub where I'd had tea, and the motel. I'm chucking that set of daks - the pockets are too shallow. They rang the pub for me, and it was down there OK, and, it transpired, fully intact. That there is enough to have me coming back for ages. Thanks, Gunnedah!!! By now, of course, it's late - I didn't get away till 11:00. It's already 40 degrees. Oh well, park and grabs. At least the dogs had been fed and walked before all the drama.
No 3 of 22 today. Thanks, Cyclone_98. Good one, nice hide. The dogs are still panting from the last cache, so I'm going by myself for this one. It took me some time, and some gymnastics to get this one, but I did it. At least I was in the shade most of the time!!

Searched in and around the clue, maybe we needed to be able to climb, from what I have read. Will have to bring the grand kids next time.
