I don't know where Bunjil gets his information from, but it is incorrect. A query was made in February about who I had sort permission from for the placement of the cache. I explained the neighbouring Aboriginal centre. It turns out this is the land manager. Which throughout the geocaching terms and conditions trumps the land owner. As most caches are placed on publicly owned land, you seek permission from the land manager where it is necessary.
Through discussions with the person who made the query it was agreed, that this was a publicly accessible location and there is no reason to believe otherwise. We agreed that no further action be taken. I can provide a transcript of that conversation if necessary.
Apart from the open gate there are signs up about the history of the location for the public to read.
The cache is not located in the cemetery, but it does provide the best access compared to walking a couple of kilometres through lands managed by melbourne water and parks victoria.

Also thanks to the person who has threatened me and the placement of my caches including being suspected of continually stealing one and probably the mysterious sock puppet account who requested this cache be archived previously. You must be really pleased with what your little pea brain can think of because you are made to look like a fool.
Access to this cache requires seekers to enter an aboriginal cemetery. The cemetery is considered to be private property as entry to the cemetery requires permission from the Wurundjeri Aboriginal Council.
The CO was asked to address the issue in February and nothing has happened.

Having lunch in Healsville with Haz101 and thought we'd get some along the way.
I never knew this Cemetery existed and k really enjoyed looking at the remaining sites, thank you!

Came to the location for the AdLab. The cache was easily spotted at GZ. No muggles around during my visit.
Enjoying a Christmas break away with AlexiKatty and decided to collect a few smiles while we are at it. TFTC

A trip to check out all the awesome places in eastern Victoria. TFTC.

Great coords fab place - love history of Barak
But how on earth a solid, quality bison, with log book in a bag, ends up drenched and I had to tip water out?

Was up in Healesville today and needed to find a cache for my streak. Can't say that it was a good day for caching as Healesville is on notice that the river hasn't finished rising. The Watts River is high and cut off down the back of the shops, although that isn't an uncommon occurrence. Certainly was wet so I was pleased that we have found this before although it has changed since we first found it. Thanks for the cache.
While finishing an Adlab here, I took the chance to grab this cache as well.
Thanks to Paul_the_Hippy for the cache.

I was on a bus job today to the sanctuary and had time to search out a few local caches by bike,
Very peaceful at this tucked away spot. After hunting around in a few spots, the slightly larger than expected container was spotted.
There was a quantity of water in the bottom, but the ziploc bag has kept the log pretty dry. I dried the container out before returning it to it's spot.

Beautiful view over the back fence. Thanks for bringing us to this historical place.
One of these little gems I wouldn't have visited otherwise. Great location for a little stroll! Thanks for bringing us here!
Found with catnap777 while completing an Adventure Lab.
We pulled up at the gate near GZ and I realised I had been caching at this heritage site before. Years ago. We opened the the app and sure enough this trad popps up. But I had not found it nor had I DNFed it. Curious.
Well I've found and logged it now.
Thanks Paul for highliting this sacred and historic site with this well researched cache honouring the first Australians. [^]
Signed and returned in very good condition. [8)]

What an amazing place. You would never know places like this existed if it wasn't for geocaching, I am certain of that. This is not a game, it is a history lesson in the best classroom there is: the great outdoors .
Tftc Paul.

Out for a drive to friends, we passed by this side road and stopped for the cache. Easy find, thanks Paul_the_Hippy
I Don't Believe it Paul-the-Hippy, I found It!!!!
I've been here 4 times so far with no luck, with the help of a previous log, I arrived with a different outlook and almost immediately found it. YIPPEE HIPPY!!!
On the plus side it is a spiritual place to be, I couldn't help to wonder why these people were herded like livestock from all over to this one property. Good to know they made the best of it, Now we better understand the Aboriginal's connection to "Country" the same mistakes may not be made.
Regards from Victourer

Took a bit of time. Well hidden but is easily visible at eye level without any digging or poking about. Hint helped. TFTC
Beautiful day to grab a few caches whilst in the area for a school music camp. What an interesting location! I grabbed the Adventure Lab at the same time. Fascinating history. TFTC
The perfect start to our geo caching adventures, first one found closest to home. Thanks for the hunt.
What a beautiful spot for a cache. This one is worth it just for the view and a very different experience of Healsville.
No luck today, but was really good too be at coranderrk where my people are from ️
No luck today but really happy I discovered this place and piece of history. Thanks Paul!
Thank you so much for showing us this area. Neither of us knew it was here and we are grateful that we know now. It is such a peaceful, beautiful place. Thank you for the cache ️
Apologies for the late log. I hadn't been caching much so when SirJ-Oz told me he had a plan to find his 5000th cache I decided to head out on a Sunday morning and keep him company. The rough plan was to the Victoria Country Road Atlas challenge (which we had both qualified for after several years) and a few others in the area that one is now located.
This was our next stop as we circled back past Healesville picking up a few adventure Lab finds along the way. This was a lovely spot to visit and a piece of history that we would never have found if it wasn't for caching. After a stroll around taking in the names and sights we were able to make the find here. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache Paul the Hippy. Always was, always will be.

Find #5007. Found @ 12:08 with Annoying Tarbit
After completing a nearby Adventure Lab, we were just about to drive off when I noticed that there was a physical cache in the area as well.
A quick jaunt back into the cemetery and rewarded with an insta-find.

Came out for a drive to Healesville this morning chasing a Lab Adventure cache which finished up right here so one could say this is my bonus cache.
An interesting place and I will have to come back when I have some more time and I’m doing a cemetery run (ancestry).
**Thanks for placing this cache Paul_the_Hippy**

Incredible spot. Dropped in after visiting Healesville Sanctuary. This is not even signposted but is such an important historical spot. Barak's grave is moving and also imposing. Thanks for the cache and bringing me here. I never would've known about it otherwise.
Healesville was the drive destination today with a bakery stop the key component.
Found quickly on a beautiful day.
Thanks to Paul_the_Hippy for the placement and fun.

I needed to visit this location for the lab cache, also, and it’s an interesting spot at the end of the road. Scooted down the back for an easy find.

This cache is exactly the reason we love geocaching. I doubt we would have come across Coranderrk Cemetery and learnt of its history, if not for this hobby. The burial records was an interesting read, but incredibly sad too.

A huge, 4 day geocaching trip for Rex and I!
On Friday, we headed for Ballarat as there was 3 events being held there on the Saturday[^]
One of them was the Ballarat Geo Tour - Event #3 and I wanted to do the geotour, so this weekend seemed like a good place to start![^] We cached all night Friday[|)][|)][^] and completed the geo tour by the end of Saturday[^][^][|)][xx(][|)][xx(] Had the pleasure of meeting, and caching with, echocage too[^]
I also had a long term goal to complete and that was to finally sign the log in the Country Road Atlas challenge as I only had to pick up a few more pages on this trip and then I would be qualified to place a found log on it[^]
So it was from Ballarat to Belgrave Heights' Birdsland Reserve for ahomburg's The Five Oh Event, where the lovely nirgalagrin[:X] spent time wandering slowly from cache to cache with Rex and I after most people had left the party[^][:X]
Next stop was Healesville where Rex and I woke up to the following day in a gorgeous park filled with stunning colours[^][^] Eventually we made our way back to Shepparton[|)][^][|)][^]
4 events attended, 61 geocaches found, hundreds of kilometers travelled[^] and some amazing sights seen[^][^][^]
My thanks to all of the COs and Event hosts[^][^] who made this such a fantastic[^] and memorable trip[^][:X] by leading us to fantastic places[^][^]

Thanks Paul the Hippy, a nice little bonus at the start of our Healesville Adventure Lab day.
On a day out at Badgers Creek for a picnic decided to stop in here as had read the history of the Coranderrk aboriginal mission recently and wanted to come see the land where is stood. Interested site and also found the geocache within the cemetery grounds. Tftc.
Would never have known this place existed without geocaching. Thanks for taking us here Paul_the_Hippy.

I wasn't planning on stopping to find this cache but Mrs P was driving and happened to spot a sign on the corner about a flower farm on this road. With that I said you beauty there's a cache down here as well! Well the farm was closed to the public but we kept going and stopped to find the cache instead.
We pulled up and there was a car already here and I noticed a young couple looking around and looking back at us. Thinking they might be here for the same reason as myself I asked them if they happened to be Geocaching? They said they weren't on this occasion but they were geocachers themselves and were in Australia from Canada and attending Uni in Melbourne! Then they said they didn't even know there was a cache near here and were actually here learning about the significant gravestones at this site.
So I went off to find the cache whilst they kept chatting with Mrs P, then said our farewells and continued on our way.
Thx for the hide here Paul_the_hippy, a secret gem of a location and one which deserves a bit more recognition. Cheers

On a birthday weekend cache run. I was surprised to see a cache in this cemetery. Locals had lead me to believe that permission was required to enter. I hesitantly entered, paying respects to all those that are buried here including Willam Barak. A slow walk to and from the cache in silence. Sad to see how many people were forcibly displaced from their country only to die at Coranderrk.
This is a very tranquil peaceful place . Felt a peace here we need think about our history and how we treatment all people.
Beautiful old cemetery and very interesting history about aboriginal backgrounds. Easy to find. Thanks Paul _the_Hippy for bringing me here
Geocaching has not been high on my agenda this year all in totally 4 ??? Could even be lower but what I have been doing is researching my family tree ... which bought me here. Bonus to see a green dot here too. Captain Harrison my 4th Great Grandfather rests here and possibly 3 others that l have traced, there is also a connection to William Barak but through marriage and a very distant connection but it’s Captain that has me here and thrilled to see the region he was from, information that is new to me . It was nice to finally put together something l only had on paper. Thank you for placing a cache here to highlight its history.
Interesting place at a very nice location.
We took a good look around... hard to believe that 300 people were buried here.
Reading the plaques here were very moving and thought provoking.

Nice place. Please be respectful and quiet though as the cache is in a cemetery.
#4309 Had just completed the AdLab that finishes here and decided to check whether there was a trad cache as this site certainly deserves it and whatdayaknow. A sad part of our history. A fascinating sacred site that we enjoyed exploring, one of those sites where you can feel the past. Amazing place, thanks for sharing and TFTC.
Such a beautiful and sacred spot, an honor to visit. Thank you for bringing me here.

With the prospect of border closures and not being able to return it was a matter of taking a day off work. Driving from Sydney to melbourne starting at 2am. Getting here about 1pm and checking the coordinates. Cache otherwise fine. Did a few other things and starting the drive back about 5pm. Fatigue hit about Wangaratta and the need for sleep took over. An hours sleep and then made a desperate dash for the border. A few micro sleeps I think might have happened and I was out of my homeland with about 30 minutes to spare. Pulled over at thurgoona. And slept. Only woken by the phone call from work wondering where I was. 2 days off. Only do that when broken bones are involved. But with so much stress in my life recently sleep took over. Finally made it back about 8 pm.
Just working out details on exemptions from travel through emergency management Should be there in the next couple of days.
With corrected coords easy but even with original coords being not that far off
