Thanks to all who found this cache but time to archive this one.
Happy caching.

Looks like this one might be missing so disabling for now until I can check up on it.
Couldn't find it had a good look and feel round, after finding a rat or possum in a tree stump freaked out and gave up.
Had a very thorough look for what looks to be quite a big cache. Try again next visit to Whanganui.
Could not find. Seemed to be on a steep, grassy hill. Kept slipping so wasn't worth getting injured
Find number 6403. After dropping off a German friend in Wanganui yesterday it was time to start to head towards home to Hamilton. Today was collect some caches along the way. I ended up in Hawera and collected 46 caches along the way.
I made my way down to this one but managed to walk right past it so I had to back track a little. Spotted and then signed. Thank you for the placement

Had a rather unsuccessful evening caching. Only 4 finds out of 10 caches. Still it makes you appreciate the ones you find and the surroundings were beautiful.
School holiday road trip to Wanganui.
I can’t believe that despite all my visits to Wanganui I have never walked around Virginia Lake.
What a lovely area! Thanks for Bryce here to enjoy with the kids.

It’s been many years since we last found this - it was lovely to find once again
Quick find after getting soaking wet feet in the long wet grass. Back to the home and dry asap! TFTC
Took me a while to find this one as my phone GPS went all over the place. Everything still nice and dry! TFTC
Yup, this one is definitely a soggy mess so I have replaced this cache with a replacement cache container. Hopefully this keeps the water out. I placed some wood around the cache to hide it a bit better. Please ensure you do the same.

Highest track. Found cache but was very wet could hardly write in the log. Besides a painted rock no other items where in there.
Needed a bit of a leg stretcher so set out for a walk around the lake. Great spot to have a cache, not so many people at this part. TFTC
Bei einem Spaziergang durch den Park, der sehr sehr schön ist, musste dieser Cache einfach eingesammelt werden.
The logbook Is very wet!
Thanks for the Cache

I wasn't stumped, perhaps just barking up the wrong tree! This cache was found at 1440Hr on 18 Jan 2019. The log was a soggy mess, so I left a temporary log wrapped in a small plastic souvenir bag.
A bit off the walking track. Cache got wet so everything needs to be replaced. Great spot though!
Difficult find but got there in the end. Needs maintenance. The whole cache isn't water tight and it's sodden and pretty gross
Unser zweiter Cache während unseres Aufenthalts in Neuseeland. Viele Grüße aus Deutschland
The container and the book need some maintenance as everything is wet. Tftc.

Sadly a DNF for this one, and certainly more one where poor guidance is given, and the DT rating is questionable. I originally took the middle path, and realised the cache is up a very steep bank and it would be almost impossible to climb, so took the upper path and then saw that you have to go quite a way into the undergrowth on the steep bank to look for the cache. With loads of the clue items about, the ones I was able to check turned up nothing. It would be great to know where I have to search as some areas were unsafe to check. In the end I had to settle for the DNF.
Found at 09:01.
Our second trip to New Zealand. This time we explore the North Island for 3 weeks. This was one cache we found.
Thank you for placing and maintaining this cache adventure collectors

Back in Wangavegas over the weekend, so time to grab a couple of caches in passing. This one was missing last time I was here, so good to make an easy find here today.

Great find book needs a little care but was great ,container was a bit wet, left a key ring there
Third find at the lake today with my tamariki...Master 9 has caught on quickly.. this one was a bit more of a mission than the other, but good to burn some energy lol...we took the hard way up and the easy way down haha...tftc
Out on an adventure to Whanganui with Lilfishy and Lilruga. This was a little more challenging for the day, sent lilruga and lilfishy to find this one and after several spots it was a find. TFTC
I drove up to Whanganui for a day (work-related) from Wellington and had never been to the Winter Gardens before. Went for a gentle and peaceful stroll as the autumn leaves gracefully floated to the forest floor. Ducks danced and pukekos pukekoed. Then went to work to find the lone cache. Went up like a mountain goat and found the grazing pasture (GZ) easily. Overshot and found a pretty stump but then something very wee caught my eye. Eyes went to the cache a moment after. Victoria Lakes has been a pleasure. TFTC
Came at dusk, not too much muggle activity but plenty of wildlife cheers good cache
Found this one at the first attempt together with ReCached. Quite steep up here considering we were at lake level a few minutes ago. TFTC adventure collectors!

Thanks very much for the cache. Found after a short hunt and all in good order.
Think the terrain might be a bit more. Lol. Good size cache. Not sure about the hint. Spotted as I turned round. Tftc
Thanks for this one. Virginia Lake is indeed a beautiful spot. We found it without too much trouble and didn’t encounter any muggle action late afternoon.
We were in the area over the weekend moving our daughter into Wanganui as she has gotten a job here in this lovely are, so why not once all shifted in and well rested go get some caches. A good start was right here I had always wanted to stop by this area and do a walk but there was always too much traffic to even get a car park so today was our lucky day. Didn't take us long to find once at Ground Zero which seemed to be way harder than a 2 terrain I thought. we signed the log and placed it back exactly as and where we found it Thank you for placing a cache here and finally us getting t see this lovely spot. TFTC. not too many muggles here today so far but it is only 10am.
No luck today - GPS pointed downhill from track and only one possible small hint object we could find. A larger hint object as just above the track but nothing here either. May still be there I suspect.
Yup, this one is definitely gone. Miss 7 and I have replaced it with a container that was given to us at the 2013 Auckland Mega event.
Happy caching.
Happy caching.
Up in Wanga-vegas for the long weekend, taking the opportunity to find the odd cache as we mooched about.
Had a couple of attempts at this over the weekend. I noted the previous dnfs over the last 10 months but thought it was worth a look anyway, but I still came away empty handed. Definitely could do with a check from the CO.

Came by with Violet Butterfly and Astro Hunter. Started at the top and worked our way down the slope, but no cache was to be found. Spent a fair amount of time looking for it. Given the previous DNFs as well, it might be worth the CO checking on this.
I enjoyed the walk to this cache and spent quite a long time searching. I was pretty sure I had the right spot but alas no success this time around.
Last day in Wanganui today so trying to get to all these beautiful places before we leave. No problems here. TFTC
During my short stay at Whanganui I visited the Virginia Lake, and went looking for this cache. Since I came from the lakeside track it was a slightly longer climb, afterwards the box was easy to find.

Took the wrong turning after the Mega so taking the long way home. Finding new caches in area not been for a long time TFTC .
My second ammo can. These ones are great. Slipped over on the plants that are around here. TFTC Took trakable.
I haven't walked this track and around the lake for ages!!! My kids were cracking up about my stories of having to run around the lake for cross country when I was at secondary school, Sacred Heart/Ngākau Tapū, which is now not a school. They couldn't believe their mother was naughty, didn't stick to the official track and stopped on this top track to have a smoke with some mates while watching the rest of the school run on the track below. TFTC, it bought back great memories and provided a cool bit of quality whānau time and sharing. Much appreciated!
We also said farewell to our trackable mate Jeeping Around so he could ride on my adventures around our beautiful country.

10.15am. Avoided the steep climb. Quickly located in obvious spot. Left a signature pathtag. Admired the lake from this lofty vantage point.

Yeah, we love to do a bit of climbing to reach a cache. Marco kept asking "is there a path? No path?", but hey, he isn't the one reading the cache descriptions .
Merel and I climbed up to gz and yes, it's true... can't miss it!
Thanks for this cache, love the name too
