Not in the obvious spot or on the nearby object. Plenty of rubbish around though. Pity that other people have to ruin the fun.
Hopefully it gets replaced soon.
Hopefully it gets replaced soon.
Couldn't find it today, best of luck to the rest of you - hope it gets found/replaced
When this one wasn't in the obvious spot we were dreading having to search the nearby object for it but it was then that we noticed it laying on the ground.
Phew! That was a close one!!
Replaced it in the logical place.
Thanks.

Apologies for the delay in posting our log. We've just had a great 16 day holiday in Tassie. Now back home on the mainland it's time to log our 108 finds of the trip.
Another quick find thanks.
Another quick find thanks.
Searched the area, but sadly a DNF for us here today. [8)] Hopefully we were just cache blind again.
Thanks anyway tx4000

Searched high and low at all the objects here and all through the surrounding grass and came up with nothing TFTC
Found it. Assumed one spot but was in the other. They are never where you think they are
Quick find on the way home. Cache was sitting in the ground so we've placed back where we thought it should be

Having a weeks holiday in Tasmania with joojoo57. Staying in New Norfolk and do day trips. Thanks for all the wonderful caches.
On a holidays for a week in New Norfolk. The weather hasn't been very caching friendly but we found a few around town. Caching with geo-sister and niece (TeamBiffo). With good weather predicted today we decided to do the DV Trail. TFTC.
Visiting friends in Tassie and decided to cache around the Derwent Valley and surroundings, been a great day out , thanks so much for showing us your turf placing the caches here.TFTC
Dad and I are in Hobart for a few days over Christmas and today we thought we'd go exploring. What better way than to pick up caches along a route!
The rain has really set in now. Thinking this would surely be quick was wrong. I eventually found it amongst the thick grass below the sign.. Magnets suggested it was meant to be elsewhere? Alas the final clue obtained!
Merry Christmas TFTC

Out and about with whitewebbs finding caches that have been published since our last visit to the area.
Thanks to all cache owners for placing and maintaining these caches for our enjoyment.

Out and about with Tassie Trekkers on a glorious day for caching. Enjoyed the tour of the valley. TFTC.
Enjoyed drive the car around the river - with interesting about history - enjoyed read the description.. .Signed the log with All7. Thanks tx4000 for organising the series and final.
Lovely weather, fantastic loop around as enjoyed drive with everlasting, good spot GZ, sign log.. Thanks
Our first in the series, we're hoping to solve number 13 later today as my 700th find!
Found at 1150.
The innards are still around and they have a lovely aroma now too. Thanks for the heads up Tardis.

I'm afraid we'll have to report one or two issues with this one. Some careless idiot has seen fit to butcher & dismember their kangaroo kill right in front of the sign. Head, guts & feet left to rot & "welcome" future visitors. Now we do practice a little CITO when we see a need but will draw the line at carting this disgusting stuff away. Sorry, council responsibility. So New Norfolk can no longer claim "tidy town" status as per sign, maybe not even a "welcome". Honestly, what is WRONG with some people? Not a CO problem of course but we felt it should be reported to alert others to tiptoe here with caution for a while.
Thanks for the really enjoyable series tx4000. We'll be back sometime (maybe not soon though) to note missed numer off #1 & try again to find #10 so we can complete the set.

This cache was the last of the series for today. The reason for not doing #13 is because we forgot to get the numbers for #1 and #3 and we didn't find #2. This was a nice easy find. TFTC and what we've done of the series so far.
We pulled up here on our way back into town. FWBs jumped out for this one and with a little guidance was onto this one in no time. Thanks for another to stop and just take a few moments out of our busy life.
JABs.

A very quick find on this one which was good as the rain that had been threatening for a while arrived. Have all the clues now so will put it together and hopefully find the final cache on our next visit to this area. Have loved the series, thank you.
A nice day off and a drive into the country around New Norfolk was in order, found 33 caches and had a great day off
A nice easy find as we returned to town, ready to head across the back road to Judbury.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Cache zombified. Was doing half of the giggle town caches but was driving past and couldn't resist. Easy find, cache in good order. Tftc.
After the last lot of DNF s I thought I had lost the plot so it was nice ti find this one.

An enjoyable day caching with WKC and the Gosseandegg family. This was the twentieth cache on a day where we managed to completed a 6 pack, a bakers dozen and a few others.
Having been beaten to this one by some fellow cachers, we waiting for their geokids to replace the cache which then allowed the Goose and Miss J to retrieve the cache. After signing the log we had a brief chat with the other cachers and then it was on our way. TFTC.

It was a team effort with Smiley_Bear and WKC to do the Derwent Valley Trail series and this was the last before the finale. as we pulled up and saw another family we wondered if they were there for the same reason. When a couple of geokids excitedly told us they had beaten us, our suspicions were correct. We politely looked away while they replaced the cache but soon had it in our hands to sign. We had a quick chat before they drove off. Always nice to meet other cachers 'out in the field'. Apparently they had been following behind us today but as we ducked off and did some extras on the way they went ahead of us to this one. All good fun! TFTC
Well after a nice drive around the country side and a stop at bushy park for a ice cream. we are getting close to the end of this series. After a quick chat with some like minded people we headed back home to figure out the puzzle.
What a great series this has been. Full of history and amazing views. Now on to find the mystery Final cache. TFTC
Since this series was published we have been looking for an opportunity to return to the Derwent Valley upstream from New Norfolk. It is a lovely area especially at the onset of autumn. The leaves on the deciduous trees were just starting to change - it should be really spectacular in a couple of weeks time. Today we managed to finish our business in Hobart early and had about three hours to attempt the "Cook's Tour" of New Norfolk and the upper Derwent Valley.
As we pulled up at this location, we were very confident that a quick find was possible - we were not disappointed. The cache and contents were in good condition. After signing the log and replacing the cache we realised that we had completed the tour in an hour and a half. As no stage had we thought that we had been rushing and we had taken our time at a number of locations to explore the areas where we had stopped. We had really enjoyed the tour tx4000. Thank you so much for planning the route and enticing us to tour by the placement of caches. Now that we had all the clues, we calculated the coordinates for the final cache in the series and then headed off.

Sue had this one before Peter could even get out of the car. TFTC tx4000
It was a predicted fine day and although quite cloudy and misty in Hobart it became sunnier as we drove west. The plan was to get a few caches on the way, do the Lady Barron Falls circuit and then the remainder of the caches on the eastern side of the Derwent on the way back.

Thanks for the cache

*FTF* 10.14am.
Saw this trail of caches come out over the last couple of nights and kept our eyes on them. Very surprised that none had been found this morning (no chances like this in our Queensland home area).
Set off early to try to complete the trail. Did not require the GPS to locate this one.

Well that's number 12. No more time today as grandparent duty beckons, so the mystery no 13 will have to wait. Once again thanks so much for this very enjoyable series.
