School hols again and out with Adam & Sarah on a cloudy but nice day. Great coast line and views make it even better. tftc
Found after a DNF at the top of the Bluff, Grrrrr - why always the hard ones.
Anyway, we took a seat with Hans to get our breath back.

This one was found while out and about with Janet. A nice walk and a quick find and all in good condition.

Brad has injured both his hamstrings when a scoundrel tried to steal his bicycle. The thief was caught and when last seen was being loaded into a Police car to head off to the Poice Station to assist the Police with their inquiries.
As a result of these injuries Brad is quite limited in his movements and may be for some time. With well over 500 draft logs sitting waiting to be caught up on that has provide the excuse to got back and deal with some of these outstanding logs. They do go back some time and with 500+ it may take a while to get through them all. Apologies to any CO where Brad's detrailed memory of the find has faded a little.

Found this one after heading down south past Victor Harbor on a FTF hunt.
Picked this cache almost at random and found a nice place for a walk.
Thanks boab bill for putting it here

Having made plans about a week ago to go caching with ttrogg today[^], I messed things up this morning by solving a puzzle[?] and hence totally changing our day[^]
In the words of 'Peter Plus' from many years ago 'didn't we have a lovely time, the day we went to Victor!'
6 caches found[^] and 1 was a FTF, I even found a previous DNF too[^]
Rex enjoyed the wind and walks and we were home again before 4pm[^]
It was a lovely cool day and very windy, just the perfect day for caching[:X][^]
I got to play passenger today, too, as ttrogg kindly took his car[:X] and the 'protect the rear seat' from Rex blanket[^] was spread out over the lush leather[^]
Lovely wander in on a windy yet sunny day[^][:X]
Rex didn't try to get to the beach, maybe the waves were a bit too high for even him
It was absolutely awesome sitting on the rustic seat[:X][^] watching the weather change and the waves crash into shore[^]
Topped off by finding the cache

I set myself two caching goals at the start of this year.
1) Reduce the number of days in my calendar that I hadn't found a mystery cache to satisfy a challenge cache.
2) Complete my calendar so that I had a minimum of 5 cache finds per day. Tick - done.
Then half way through the year I heard a whisper about another challenge cache in the pipeline that required a Multi cache on every calendar day. At that time still needed 129 days so 3) reduce those days became yet another goal.
Then Groundspeak wanted to start a streak at the end of August to get a souvenir. So I did. And I am still on that streak so I guess I now need to achieve 4) goals. My longest streak was 46 days when they last wanted a streak some years ago. So I needed to go and grab a cache today to see if I could do better than last time.
Today I just needed continue the streak. Sal was on holidays and happy to go for a drive as we have no geocaches within 20 kms of home anymore Anymules who had walked with us last week needed a multi and a puzzle and so we both wandered down to Victor Harbor so he could get those. We considered the 10 km walk from Waitpinga back along the Heysen Trail to Kings Head Beach for a full nano second before deciding we might go for a less shorter walked from The Bluff to Freddo's earthcache just past Kings Head instead.
Setting out on our adventure this was our first stop. For a long time we found nothing. Then we found the cache and a scrap of mush which we presume was the log in the photograph. There was not way it became that bad in just 3 months. This looks like the original cache description from 2014.! So we looked around some more but couldn't find anything else. In the end we replaced this with a more modern container and log book where we found this one, and removed the old one as CITO. After all we HAD found the cache!

Found while enjoying a short scenic walk along the coastline. Thanks for the cache boab bill!
The last time I was here I swam in the deceptively calm waters below - and for the first time in my life thought I was not going to see another birthday!
I have always been a confident swimmer but I guess age has caught up with me and I was lucky a surfer saw my dilemma and I hitched a ride to shore.
This time I stuck to the high road!!! and was rewarded with a treat. Log book is damp but ok. TFTC

This is a must do walk when you are in Victor Harbour. Today the most glorious morning, spectacular cliffs and beaches and people walking their dogs. Sat and looked at the view and got a cache to boot. Thanx

Just down for a whistle stop trip to Victor with Geobro & Geolze. Got to bluff and thought the better off the climb as wanted to do the islands also so wandered along the Heysen Trail with Geolze &Nashyblue. Arrived at gz on a beautiful sunny, crisp day. Took a seat and enjoyed the view. I had to do the honours às the others have their goggles on. TFTC
Two Norwegian travellers on vacation/geocaching in Australia. Travelling by car from Brisbane to Adelaide with stops in interesting and not so interesting places.
Until now: Coolum Beach - Kilcoy, Stanthorpe, Byron Bay, Port Macquire, Nelson Bay, Hunter Valley, Wagga Wagga, Beechworth and Melbourne.
After Melbourne we are moving slowly westward and will stop at villages and small towns along the coast.
Anglesea, Lorne, Apollo Bay, Warrnambool, Naracoorte, Meningie.
Yesterday we arrived Victor Harbour after logging some caches on our way.
Today is Remembrance Day and after watching the seremony at 11 o'clock we did some sightseeing in town and outside. And also logges some caches.
Be careful with the vegetation - the cache is not so hard to find.

Headed back after dark today with Roffer to give this one another try. Searched under torchlight in the obvious spots, and all the not so obvious spots, but came up empty handed.
One last check, and we found the cache in an... obvious spot ;s
Thanks for the hunt, and TFTC!

Great views as we walked along the trail
Noticed an old well down on the beach
Historical fact mentioned along the trail
Took us longer to find than it should have as blended well in its hide

A beautiful day for taking this walk - very little wind and clear blue skies. Thanks boab bill.
Happy new year! Happy to find caches today on the trail. I'm visiting from Phoenix Arizona. I can't believe how windy and cool it is today compared to yesterday!
The container is a bit worse for wear but a nice easy find with more great views. Thanks boab bill
What a solid seat Hans had.
Cache container corroded and getting hard to close.

It was a fantastic day for a walk here. Well formed path took us here from Kings Beach. Thanks for the cache.
While staying at Adare Caravan Park we planned to do the series of geocaches along the Heysen Trail going from King Beach to Waitpinga through the Newland Head Conservation Park. We were fortunate enough that a few fellow geocachers were willing to complete the walk with us even though the forecasted temperature was 41 degrees. So with that in mind, we had a round table meeting at the pub after dinner and decided that we needed to get up at 5am to be at the start of the track at 6am. So in the predawn light we started our hike. Finding the caches along the way gave us the chance to have a break and reform as a group. The heavy cloud cover and cool breeze were welcome and contributed to keeping the heat to a manageable level. The views were distractingly wonderful and the 5 hours it took us was an absolute delight with our happy group which comprised of Shonkylogic, Moneydork, SEMIK, Uni and Medusa. This is geocaching at its best. Thanks to boab bill for placing this cache which encouraged us to do this tremendous walk.
With the forecast for nice weather today it was time for a visit to the Victor Harbour area to clear away a few of the caches that have populated the area since I used to frequent the town.
I was surprised to see just how many new ones there is
With Astro we set about finding some of these little gems and this was one of them [^]
Cheers & TFTC

Loved this cache! Really nice hiding spot. I liked the very creative container, with cute stickers! Very sneaky spot. I used a glove but you won't need one! A few cool swaps inside but not that much extra room. Very nice view. It was very windy when I found the cache so be careful on windy days while you are looking for the cache!! Thanks, LuciaDoyle123!
A nice walk with a cool breeze on otherwise a hot day. Views were great. Thanks boab bill.
