As this cache has been out of action for too long, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Thought it was time I went to look for the cache hidden in my own village! Sadly, I did not find it. Checked all the nearby trees and vegetation but gave up in the end. I'll be back though!

Out this way collecting up the "lonely caches" and this our only DNF in the area, like the previous finder - searched the suggested hint area and surrounding plants but no joy.

We think we searched the trees fairly extensively. Lost a good pen in all of the leaf litter. No luck today.

I was (kind of) out this way and took a (large, unnecessary) detour here on my way (in the opposite direction) to run a (dubious) errand. I got the attention of not one but three canine companions from three different properties so was super speedy in finding, signing and returning the log before heading off. Thanks for the placement-its been a while since i have been out this way.

Targeting some further a field lonely distance caches to finish of some licences, as after a bit of homework, I worked out that I could finish it soon than I thought. Nice drive out here just before the sun was going down. Signed log and away I went before the neighbours even knew I was there. Thanks for the placement.

Taking the long way home after a climb up the Haki's, no locals about today.

Neighbours across the road were busy chatting and didn't notice a geo-vehicle pulling up. SL, got back in car ... THEN ... the dog started barking. LOL. Cheers MCC for all the caches you have place, which I logged today.

Finished work early to get some around the Ngaruawahia and Huntly area. It was good to get off the state highway.

I remember seeing the old pits up Wilton road years ago

{FTF }
Following a diversion to the other cache this morning these popped up while logging the previous, knowing that I had to get to work I left it.

After finishing the urgent stuff and feeling the need to escape I noted that this still apparently had not bee found. So throwing caution to the wind, but expecting another local cacher who makes ftf's but doesn't log them until he sees others get a find, off I headed. On arriving at GZ I soon located the cache. Checking both forward and backward I was surprised to find a blank logbook. Thank you.

Grabbing these helps make the fact that I'm back at work and others are on holiday a little more bearable.

Thanks for the placement
