Briefly visiting the area for a funeral, I eventually made this find today. As others have said, the doors continually opened and closed! I was about to call it quits when I spied the one thing that was slightly different, it was well camoed today. Thanks Numurkah Tourism, I hope you will place more caches to highlight the many interesting features of Numurkah for other tourists to the area.
The centre was closed this afternoon which was good to search uninterrupted but also a pity as it would of been nice to look around and enjoy a longer break. The cache had us searching for a little while but with good co-ord's and a handy hint we soon had the cache in hand, TFTC Numurkah Tourism.
We had come to Numurkah tasked with finding the cache for Victoria's Least Favourite Challenge. It took us ages but with the help of PAF, we completed our missing. At 19:40, it was time for team and we went to a Pizza shop in Numurkah. Whilst waiting for the pizza, we noticed a cache very close by - what a good way to fill in the "10 to 15 minutes". Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The plastic bag inside the cache container was wet but the log inside was dry. Thanks Numurkah Tourism for the cache.
Congratulations on your first hide. Unfortunately for us we arrived after closing but this did not take away the fun of finding the cache. A good thing that one half of the muff1 team knows there plants. SL TFTC
In town for our 20 year school reunion. Kids decided good opportunity for some caching. TFTC
Quick find on our enjoyable walk through town. At least the accompanying non-geocachers were able to see a successful find. Visited the Visitors Centre for a pleasant chat and information on a Cactus farm near Strathmerton.
In Numurkah for a week ( guess where we're staying ) and on the first nice day since April decided the thing to do was to geocache. Geowife had found the only one we sought on the trip up from Geelong and also the first for today, so she said "I'll give you a couple of minutes start." Talk about condescending, so l charged up to the Tourism centre, having fortuitously chosen a time when it was closed. I pounced gleefully. Thank you for hiding this one. Do some more.
Great. Hide lots of people around town, no worries about muggesrs, a quick grab, signed the log, as we did this time last year...... Thanks, to the tourism team.....king Sr.
Our 2nd cache for the day on our slow caching trip back to home....OzHockeyChick and I thought we would grab a few of our LGA Challenge zone caches and so we think this one was in a zone so here we are.
Must say searching for the hide was bloody terrible stealth on my behalf as the damn auto door kept opening and closing on me and drew about as much attention to me as an atomic blast would of so OHC went inside and spoke to the lovely man who knew what we were doing anyway as we think it may have been his cache...lol.....
Anyway great little hide and lovely little town......

Whilst I browsed around inside, gathering info about nearby attractions, 88andy88 was outside on hands and knees, with the automatic doors opening, closing, opening, closing, opening, closing. When I could no longer keep my giggling to a low level, I stepped outside just in time to sign the elusive log. We hastily got into the geomobile and drove to next destination. Cheers!

The eyes were everywhere whilst searching for this cache - it was eerie knowing that we were being watched. Found with misschief18 and Bentley TB on our last day in this area

Found with taurus1955 and BentleyTB. Felt very ill at ease while looking for this one. It seemed there were a lot of eyes on us and the automatic door kept opening and closing-as noted by a previous finder. Just as well it was quickly located, log was signed and we could move on. Nice container. TFTC
A busy place mid afternoon with lots of muggles coming and going. The cache was quickly spotted but took a while before we could retrieve it. We also seemed to be opening and closing the automatic doors a lot ourselves! Thanks, an easy find once you have come across these already.
We found your cache Numurkah Tourism on 29/05/2015 7:48 pm. This is our find #4400 and find #7 today.
Found on a walk after setting up the caravan at the local park and having dinner. (we would call this a micro) nice easy find even in the dark.
The cache is in good shape.
Thanks Numurkah Tourism for the cache!

Travelling around Australia in our Caravan with our cat.
Making our way south to Melbourne now, it's amazing seeing all the other travellers heading north! Are we heading the wrong way
Moving today so caching towards Merrigum with the caravan on tow, doesn't make for easy caching. (not to mention the cat who hates travelling in the car, and stop/start makes it worse )
Still we managed to make a dozen stops on our way today. Mrs Felix did the tourist thing and entered to ask lots of questions whilst Mr Felix made the find, signed the log inside out of the cold then we replaced the cache before moving off.

it was an easy find still having trouble with the other one but daylight might help haha
I found this while riding home from the Sidecar Rally at Carters Beach, near Strathmerton. tftc.
Crusty.
Crusty.
Not the most triumphant caching day ever.
I came over to Numurkah to tidy up a few blots on my screen. If not for this one, I would have left town with my map looking just as messy.
A nice easy find with thanks to a generous hint and some very basic botanical knowledge,[^], though attempting to be inconspicuous was made more tricky by constantly activating the automatic sliding doors whenever I came within a bull's roar of them in the coarse of my hunt.

Great hide and grabbed a few brochures whilst here . The officer congratulated us on the find and we had a good goss.
Many thanks for the challenge.
Many thanks for the challenge.
Broad daylight with the info centre open, we decided to leave it for another time
Found by Mary & David at 1040. An impressive building and lots of information signs, which we like. Spotted the cache after a brief search Our thanks to Numurkah Tourism.
That heavens all was quiet at the tourist information centre, or this could have been a little difficult to retrieve stealthily. SL TFTC
TFTC. Nice easy find. Good clue. The lady in the centre knew that there was a cache but had never found it.
Lovely town.
Lovely town.
Quick find in the daylight. Muggled by the duty information lady who didn't know about it, but does now. She thought we were a bunch of silly Billy's I think. TFTC
Stopped after dinner with my Nan (a local resident), who helped spot the camellias! Took a bit of poking about but eventually found it.
Bettyboo3747 and I wanted to grab a challenge cache in Numurkah, so we travelled a convoluted path to grab some other out of the way caches we had passed by on previous trips.
Thanks for the clue - we were feeling a lot exposed here!
Very flash tourist centre.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 7449. Another very hot summers day and Robmc and I are driving a few roads less travelled between Beechworth and Numurkah to complete a challenge cache there. We are fortunate to be gathering quite a few interesting finds along the way.
On our way to visit another cache in town and we saw a few easy parking spots so pulled over to look for this one. We did feel very conspicuous searching here and I was about to walk away when I spotted what we needed. Moved away to sign the log and then returned it safely and on to our next one. Certainly a nice-looking centre here.
Thanks Numurkah Tourism

It is a good cammo. Have seen these before but not in good old numurkah. Spending the day caching while I have my car repaired. Tftc pls do some more
This one took a little bit of finding as the iPhone went silly under here. Thanks for the cache.
Snuck out from the twins birthday party over the road for a quick find at 7:10pm. Fortunately didn't try this one during office hours - would have felt a bit conspicuous.
Thanks Numurkah Tourism
Thanks Numurkah Tourism
Lol this one gave me the run around for a bit till I spied the camo. Not one for plants it took a Google to sete right. I love tourist friendly caches having just launched Australia's first GeoTour I can vouch for their advantages. Thanks for the hide was a good distraction from my trip north
3778. Found by baby&Mrs gopher at 1350. The centre was closed today so it was an easy find with no distractions SL Tnx Numurkah Tourism
A quick find, been wanting to do this one for a while when visiting parents in nathalia! TFTC
After spending a fair amount of time down the road getting very intimate with a large black train, it was time for some lunch, being a fairly warm day a salad sandwich was just the thing to stop the worms biting....unfortunately the cafe had different ideas and I walked out with some potato cakes instead, oh well, I can pretend they are a deep fried salad sandwich without the salad....and bread.....and meat.....with added potato.
Anyway, wandered over here to find the cache while eating my deep fried salad, and I have to admit I had to use my friend The Google to look up the plant mentioned (my mother was spinning in her grave!), and after a bit of poke around, the familiar cache soon revealed itself.
Luckily there was no one home in the building today so my loitering went unnoticed.
Thanks for the cache Numurkah Tourism, and the lunch stop.

Got out of bed early to make our way to Numurkah to try our luck finding a black nano on a black train engine. After spending about 3/4 of an hour doing that we retired to a Cafe for some breakfast and to await an email from the CO. Noticed this cache nearby, so took a wander to admire the camellias. A quick find after saying hello to the worker inside the building. #2378 TFTC Numurkah Tourism
Found this cache with ease once knowing where to look!!
The hint is very useful and the gps was a little off. A hint is to look under the tin roofed area.
Super fun and an easy find!!!!

Had to use the hint as the gps was a bit all over the place. A good hide and a good find by Ot.
Tooka while to find. Not sure what I was expecting. Had to Google camellia. Then I spied a familiar container. Tftc
#1001 With 1000+ finds under our belt we were familiar with this type of cache container. For a town with very few shops open on a Sunday arvo, it was surprisingly busy. TFTC Numurkah Tourism.

After a number of work calls in town, I stopped and grabbed this cache. Not sure how close to the camellia I should of got, was then told your close. Quick discovery and signing of the log and a chat about all things geocaching.

GPS not a lot of help here but resorting to the hint soon had this in hand. As it was early morning the information centre was still closed and the area muggle free TFTC Numurkah Tourism
A quick find with a tip from the Tourism lady. The tin roof certainly throws out the gps. Lovely camellias, that's my tip.

The original plan was to spend the day caching around Shepp. The plan changed before we got to town and we headed north by east then west toward home.
I was expecting a bit of a search basd on previous logs but the cache was spotted straight away. The office was closed so I didn't get any muggle advice today.
Thank you for the cache Numurkah Tourism.

First find of the day with new cacher. TFTC. Angus the great GeoWestie assisted by grey nomad carer Lis Brown on a journey from Shepparton Vic to Geelong Vic then Coolah and Port Stephens in NSW and back to Shepparton before going to Tasmania.
Had a great chat with the owner, we were Doing , your getting hot, getting colder, and then I FOUND IT TFTC
Ducked up after work to grab a quick cache and found this one after hours. I always worry when caches are in gardens so I was careful to try and spy this one before I retrieved it to save damage to the plants.
Thanks for taking the initiative of placing one here!

A nice find in a lovely town. Just loved the Dark Camellia what a shame they are not named. Sorry we missed you
At last. Forgetting my GPS was possibly a blessing as I relied totally on past logs and my senses and I found it. Many thanks to Numurkah Tourism for the hunt.
introduced 2 new players. easy find, thnx. Tread gently. 8D

After many tries and a lot of time, we finally found it.
Not the easiest of places as the tin roof sends your compass haywire..
All I can say to give u a hint is it is under the roofed area.

A few hours to kill after a weekend of bowls so we went for a drive around the local area and picked up a few caches.
A great area to visit.

Nice easy find on the way back to Dubbo after caching in four states. TFTC
The compass went haywire under the metal roof but the very friendly tourism staff were wonderfully helpful giving me a useful hint
I headed out today on a day trip with my two boys to Numurkah for an auction at the showgrounds that was being held at around lunchtime. I had the tandem trailer in tow as well as we were hoping to purchase an old horse dray for the garden at home - which we did get in the end too, so the trip was a great success with the caching and the auction.
We made our way up the Hume and then the Goulburn Hwys, picking up a few caches along the way. After the auction and with the dray securely tied down on the trailer, we picked up some more caches on the way back home, with 16 caches found and one DNF. The boys and I had a great day.
With the auction over it was time to head for home., but first head into town to find a couple of caches there. The main street was pretty quiet and the tourism centre closed. We spent a bit of time hunting in different locations and finally I spotted it. Cooper went and retrieved the cache and we sat to sign the log before rehiding it.
Thanks for the hide.

We are back on track, the last person to visit this cache misplaced it and with some help we have found it and it is back in it's original position.
My cache has disappeared so I will have to temporarily disable until I can either find it or replace it.
Very disappointing.

Okay centre was closed. That's good. Street was very busy, but they were busy heading home I expect. Didn't take to much notice of me. Great for your first. Will have to wonder in one day and meet.
10:47pm It pays to check your emails before going to bed. Quick drive down the street, past the security guard going the other way, grab cache, log and return, then pass the security guard going the other way. We were the only 2 cars in the street... TFTC Hope to see many more. FTF
