A lovely sunny winter's day - perfect for a beach walk and a wander around the village with my nephew.
Curiousity drew us to this one. Sooo loved the Ark - envious. Then a bonus ... the CO happened to come out of the Ark to get into her car, not before her friendly dog decided to come over to say hello - so a quick chat ensued.
Found the cache as CO was ready to drive off - in my excitment waved it at her. Was noticed it was a little under the weather, so is going in for a touch of maintenance.
A favourite point from me. TFTC

Mum is helping me log all my caches that I haven't logged yet.
Found with Mum (LL113) and Dad (GNARwhal).

A windy Sunday afternoon. GeoHubby (GNARwhal), Miss 10 (UnicornLex), and I were planning to bike out to Pencarrow Lighthouse but thought next weekend might be the better option weather wise. So instead we have come round the bays to grab a few odd caches, and suss out some nice hiding spots for the series I will release in the near future.
It’s been 2 years since we got our DNF here, and this time wasn’t much better. No sign of the owner of the fabulous house, so we used the PAF option. The useful hint led us to the right area and then it was just a matter of coming up with the goods. I made the tricky find, but I don’t think it is how it is meant to be…? I also had to pour a considerable amount of water from the container. I think a bit of maintenance is needed here please.
Thanks for another smiley.

Last cache for today. Had more of a relaxed afternoon, then headed over with my gran to dinner with my aunt and uncle and cousins who live in Eastbourne. I found this cache on my own on the way over there - it took a little while but I searched methodically until I came across something that might be hiding something else... and there it was. I like this hiding method although the spot was full of water and some has gotten into the log too so it was a bit damp. But it was still cool and creative!
Passed by again later with my aunt, one of my cousins, and their adorable dog Mocha for a sunset walk along the beach. I've attached some photos from near GZ. The light was beautiful this evening.
Thanks for the cache

Very cool hide! Thanks very much for the hint, a great way to start off the year. An easy favorite from me
Wow fab house! While we were 'discretely searching' the owner came out and told us about her place. Cute hide. Streak day #96 TFTC
First visit for us. Staying with Mrs SoBad's sister we had just had a short walk and were heading for coffee. The listing was interesting so we sidetracked to this cache. Mrs SoBad's sister found the cache so 2 from 2 for her this morning. The log was too wet to sign so we went back to the car for some write in the rain paper and a plastic bag. Signed this and put the original log back in the cache with this replacement. Intriguing looking home.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Love this didn’t take to long I enjoyed this find log was wet the hole it was in was full of water log needs to replaced and cache may need to redone so it doesn’t happen again

Came round for another go as we were in the area. Success this time! With a few hints from the CO. We really were searching in the complete wrong area last time.
My phone is being uppity again. Hopefully this is the last time. Says I should get 5 caches today, despite it knowing that I am working a streak, and additional finds now are finds I cannot use for the streak. Well it's a niceish day out there, so I get on the bike and head out further away.
Okay, it's not that nice. I am heading south into a southerly, and it's slow going, it's cold and there is intermittant rain. Making the decision NOT to cache as far away as my original plan is easy.
The requirement was also for two smalls today - I found those, then picked up a regular. What next? I am after a few micros later in the year, but I only need seven to complete that objective, so a micro it is. This one.
I hunted for a bit, ruling out the more obvious places. Then got some weird idea that the coords were a little wrong and that the cache was on the land side of the road. It's not, but the CO and Aura disembarked from the ark and met me on the dockside. My problem was that I was working on off a phone so having trouble finding gz. So I took up her offer of a hint and she pointed me to a general direction. After that is was an easy find - and an interesting mix of plain ordinary and yet something considerably better than average.
The log was wet and the CO said she would replace it, before I had a chance to try to sign it. I suggested she try florist's paper. Awesome stuff, florist's paper .
Today's mission done. Time to enjoy that cold southerly for a fast ride back home.
Weeee!
Many thanks for the cache. Next time I am down this way I'll leave the CO a pathtag.

Contrary to earlier note, we didn’t leave a TB at this cache. Entered note while in the field, and cannot see how to correct this. Sorry for any confusion.
I was over this way today (my original plan involved a kayak, but the sea gods said no) and decided to check this one out. Firstly the house, wow - what a cool looking house. Reading about the design and then seeing it, its worth a look. The cache, well, I started searching as discreetly as a six foot five Yeti can, and was well aware of the several passers by although most were content to walk their dogs with the occasional Gidday. No one seemed too concerned about me being there. Soon I was approached someone who clearly identified that they knew exactly what I was doing, and even offered to provided a hint (which I politely declined, cos, that's not the point of the game is it). Spent some time searching, initially stuck to exactly where both my GPS devices pointed but after finding nothing I remembered that there's always a bit of a +/- factor, so expanded my search area and eventually found this very well concealed cache. No sooner had I signed and returned when I was approached by the same person, turned out to be the CO and current resident of The Ark. Very kindly got a quick look inside the house which was equally as cool as the outside, especially the carved doors and some other interesting interior features. Thanks so much to the CO for taking the time to both provide a fun cache and allow me a look inside your home.
Totally lovely to meet the CO who designed the Ark. Found the cache in its spot. TFTC
Found out with TharntheHalken on Xmas afternoon. A very clever hide, took some finding, but got there in the end. Tftc!
Out to grab a few more smiley faces and stop to try and grab this one. Almost a dog barked in the adjacent garden and the owner came to meet me. This was the CO who very kindly help me with the cache. Thank you CO for the cache and the very interesting discussions.
Many thanks for this clever cache, Earth2Arleigh and BrightSpirit. Great spot. Thanks to CO and geocanine for helping us find this.
Found something that was “not the geocache”; will come back on a less windy day.
TFTC the hints and your hospitality. Such a tricky hide, perfect for geokids.
What a devious little hide! Loved it! Arrived in the drizzle and had a little look around and then DVH spotted the ‘this is not the geocache’ nearby. Gave us a giggle. Shortly after, we met the CO and had a lovely chat (and a bit of prompting to aide the search). Great spot, great cache, lovely CO. Thanks!
Found it. Thanks mainly to the help of a kind local. It is within arms reach of beach access.
Quick find (right where you said it was). I’ve only seen a couple of cammo jobs like this before but I was looking for something along these lines given your description. Log book is completely sodden and will need replacement. TFTC Cheers from Canada
Rest assured, the hint is for this location, listed coordinates are where the geocache is, and the geocache is there. I check it frequently.
No luck for us today. We thought we were in the right spot but then read the logs and read it was 35m away from the co coordinates in the system. Then we go really confused as not sure if the hint was for old location or new.

I think my GPS was dropped on it's head as it was listing geocache coordinates that would have put it in the harbor. I've tried to fix that.

It appears that the date hidden has been changed (which should not be done even if you have modified the cache) instead of it being enabled.
Possibly your intention was to create a completely new cache, if so you need to archive this one and submit it as a new cache. If you want this one to remain and if as it seems it is ready to be found then you could enable it but if you do so it would be best to reinstate the original date hidden as people often use that for challenges. Also by changing the hidden date you end up with nonsensical situations such when as the fact that I logged this in 2014 when according to the cache page it didn't exist!

This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.

The original geocache was muggled. I have moved it and changed the physicality of the geocache completely.

This geocache is missing from its snug hiding spot. I will fix it, but as it's a slightly complicated set-up, it will be a couple of days. Sorry, folks.
Great day for a trip to Eastbourne. Wellington harbour flat calm bright sunshine could not ask for a better day for an afternoon of Geocaching. Lucky find well hidden, TFTC.
Good "Loop" walk taking in GC2M787,GC33F4Z and GC50KFY. Plenty of variety and interest. TFTC.
#288. Took Mrs W on a caching trip around the bays from the other side today - a lovely sunny Mother's Day, so an Ark wasn't really required. It's a stunning house though, and the occupants (although not visible today) are probably used to random people fossicking in the bushes opposite! Nice hide - seen this type before but initially walked past it at first look. Tftc.
Found by D after short search. So many muggles — my 3rd visit. TFTC Earth2Arleigh.
OMG, best hide! I had to get a clue from the owner as my GPS put me on the wrong side of the road.
Tricky little hide! GPS was going flat so took a while to decide where GZ was. Nicely constructed; but logsheet is very damp, needs replacing. signed it as best I could.
A lovely fine day for a stroll at Eastbourne. The perils of not reading all the logs...
Thank you to the angel who nudge me to the 'correct' side of the road.
A favourite point for the cache design. There must be a cachers trail here, rounds heads vs hex heads, across Wellington.
The purple ribbon is an amazing addition, no cache extraction device required.

I had actually give up here.. Like many others, I thought it was in the bounday marker (something is rattling around in there), but no.. it does _not_ come apart.
I was about to leave, when some unexpected help shoved up and informed me that the cache was on the other side of the road. Doh. After that it was a quick and easy find and I was promised that the log would be taken care of (it had turned into pulp).
Thanks for the help - you know who you are
FP for the wellknown, but still good hiding spot.

7472. Interesting house! Great hide. Found one just like this in Christchurch recently. Opened the container ok but the logsheet is paper mache and needs replacing. Thanks for the cache. Rodney and Iris.
Windy stormy day so the ark looks like a great safe haven. Found o b second pass but log disintegrated when trying to get it out. Photo taken nearby of container.
Great spot and cache. Log book wet and hard to get out. Got it and logged visit. TFTC
Nice hide!!:) unfortunately logbook is strongly stucked and I was not able to pick it up. Anyway I took a photo of the cache.
Found after cycling out to Pencarrow. A lovely day to be out and about in these parts.TFTC
Found with Sausage Legs, great hide. Took us a little bit of looking but in the end it was hiding in plain sight
A nicely done cache. I thought its construction was almost as impressive as the ark's.
A neat, clever cache (my favourite kind), have seen similar ones before so was a quick find with kiwi_cat - once we were in the right spot after a deceiving red herring further north. The man washing his house did look intrigued at our loitering.. TFTC.
A very clever find with wintersticks. My first one of this type - was great thanks! Tftc
We used to flat in an old house a few doors south of this place many years ago (about 20 or so), and it was great to wander passed the old home on the way to this cache. It looks like no maintenance has been carried out since we lived there and it'll most likely be bulldozed to make way for a house like The Ark before too long.
We spent New Year morning on the beach down the road before hunting out this find. Margie spotted it while I was waiting for the GPS to settle. A nifty wee hide that has had some time and thought taken over it. Thanks for going to the effort Earth2Arleigh, you could have settled on a basic micro but decided to go for something different. Worth a fave point from me.
I always carry a pair of tweezers and a pen in my pocket for just this kind of cache so had no problem withdrawing the dry log for signing. As a side-note; I slide a cut-down drinking straw over the sharp end of the tweezers.
TFTC! TNLNSL

Found with UlmusLynx and Gilgul some weeks ago (October I think) It took a while but not as long as it takes me to log them TFTC
This one took Selesi, Gilgul and myself a while. A busy little section of the road. Resorted to reading logs and the hint. TFTC
