Making our way towards home over the next few weeks travelling with 2 dogs and a cat we have found caching a great way to give the fur babies a break. Thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining.
Easy find. Not easy to park except on private property/ council maybe. Found with Sarge5556 tftc
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 10 - Cleve to Port Lincoln via Port Neill and Tumby Bay. My short days continue and I spent a bit of time around Cleve before I got under way. Plenty of roadside caches along the highways. I ventured into Pot Neill, Tumby Bay and Port Louth to check out the villages. As ever I would have loved to have stopped for lunch or dinner in each one, but I stuck to the plan and made it to the caravan park in Port Lincoln. Once I was set up I went and did a few more caches on the edge of town. A couple more Counties today. I'll spend another day here tomorrow before heading North West to th Nullabor over a few days after that.My second detour was into Tumby bay and I was very taken by how peaceful and well provided the town is, even on a sunder quite a few places were open. Thanks for the cache chrispy8946619.24 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 8000 Finds Achievement A#229**Albida**

Decided to have a farming, silo, ocean return jaunt to Port Lincoln. Hmmm 563 km and $120 fuel bill later we finished the enjoyable drive.
Slip and slide down to cache. Took a longer walk back to car.
Silo art beautiful. Tyftc

A quick sign and Find.
Day 19 of our greynomad trip up north and today we are finally heading north. Started raining in the early hours, and even considered another night at Coffin Bay, but decided to see how far we would comfortably get.
Todays targets are LGA's on the eastern side of the peninsula and throwing some silo art in as well.
TFTC SL TB's visited.

All this week...
(Go west) Life is peaceful there.
(Go west) Lots of open air.
(Go west) To find caches new.
(Go west) This is what we'll do.
(Go west) Sun in winter time.
(Go west) We will do just fine.
(Go west) Where the skies are blue.
(Go west) This and more we'll do.
(Go west) Life is peaceful there.
(Go west) Lots of open air.
(Go west) To find caches too.
(Go west) This is what we'll do.
(Go west) together together we'll cache on our way
(Go west) together together you map me the way
(Go west) you cache places new
(Go west) this is what we'll do
(Go west) life is smiley there
(with thanks and apologies to the Village People and Pet Shop Boys - who must have been cat lovers!)
And ending up soon at Kyancutta

Country, Coffee, Cats, Champagne, Chocolate, and Caching...
Careful caching as always with Jack helping, wherever we go.
It's a dangerous world filled with rusty old mint tins and objects falling from trees
...... but a cache a day still keeps the boredom away
--------
Most of our caches are logged using the resources of gsak, garmin, and androids, occasionally AI too! (And a little rubber stamp )
----------
Make sure that Travel Bugs are the Only bugs you share and pass on (Covid cancels caching!)
Keep a safe distance - clean and cache the countryside
It's awesome of all those placing quality caches out and about around our country areas,
in sensible safe places and containers especially! - it keeps our game fun, and interesting
Of course we do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, or so we've been told! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where it is I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and perhaps we can put an end to these long logs !!!
[:o)]
The end. For now...
... until next time!

PL to Whyalla today. Dropped into this cool little town to try the bakery and have a play. Great stop. TFTC
GPS was spot on. So glad to find this one. (We couldn't find the other Tumby Bay silo geocache).
Found with Com084. Left a keyring as swag. Log signed sand replaced as found. Watch the geokids and geopets with this one. Right next to the highway. TFTC.
Out caching with Tilley64, TB was dropped off. We have taken the TB so the Kanga won't be attacked by the Huntsman Spider that is living here.
Ducked across the road for this cache after checking out the silo art. Found it quickly but the owner of the nearby shed spotted us. He was probably wondering why we were rummaging around in the bushes on the side of the highway.
Thanks crispy89 and 17 eagle for bring us to the very well done piece of art and suppling the information on Tumby Bay..
Day 9 week 2 of 5 weeks holiday.
Rockhampton to all over South Australia and other places.
Temp 8 degrees, feels like 8. Amazing
It’s funny how so many of the silo art tour has a cache nearby ??
Port Lincoln next.

Love to have a more evocative pic but it’s a working silos! But Bingo bango how stunnin Bingo bango how impressive. Enroute to Port Lincoln with time to stop in this lovely well kept historic town. Day 15 in SA after numerous trips were sabotaged due to you know what and its a fab day. The Ikera- Flinders Ranges, Whyalla, Port Lincoln and a few in between caches are high on the list along with several other random caches so hoping to tick all boxes before heading back to home base. I’ve learnt theRE are plenty of quality SA caches - plenty to pique the curiosity and anticipation of another surprise or fun cache. There is no shortage of Silos in Eye Peninsula, but this one sports some stunning art.
Thanks chrispy89.

Hanging out in Tumby Bay today and managed to find a few caches.
Sandyofthesea and I took off from Perth at the start of April to travel more of Australia using geocaching as a guide to see the sights. How good is this country!!

Port Lincoln to Adelaide road trip.
Day One: Port Lincoln to Cleve.
The East Coast has barely even started drying out but conditions here are perfect.
Roads aren’t busy either.
Thanks to all the COs for making the Eyre Peninsula a great caching destination.
Quite a few SPORs noted on the walk in to GZ - have they been placed as decoys? You can’t see the silos from GZ!
Thanks Chrispy89.

We left Port Lincoln this morning and went wandering north with ilook4geo, picking up some of the caches along the way. Each found log was signed with two more names to mark our visit. Thank you chrispy89 for placing this cache for us to find and to 17eagle for maintaining it.
On the road with goinplaces2 and heading toward Tumby Bay. Having a nice slow day with just a few caches. Found what we wanted, signed the logs, all were replaced. Job done! TFTC.

A very slow meander home from Pt Lincoln collecting caches along the way. Time restraints are starting to kick in to make sure I’m home in time to pick up the kids from care, so now I can no longer wander off the beaten track and must stick to those quick finds enroute. My app did decide to tell me I was standing in the middle of the intersection & not moving (despite having overshot the cache), but a quick change to Cachly and the cache was soon in hand. TFTC!
While on our honeymoon we spent the day caching and walking around Tumby Bay. Great spot for fish and chips for lunch at the beach and walking around the very picturesque scenery along the shoreline tracks, along some beaches and around the point near the island. We picked up the caches on the north road on the way out of town to Port Lincoln. TFTC
TFTC. Wolly found one .... on his own!!!
8-2 in Sharon’s favour though!
Happy caching and safe travels!

We are staying in Pt Lincoln for a couple of nights on the first leg of our trip to WA and today we were visiting friends in Lipson for lunch. On the way back we stopped in here to look at the silo art and find a couple of caches for another LGA off my list.
Made our way to GZ the hard way but managed to find the cache quickly then headed back to the car the easy way.
Thanks for the cache chrispy69.

Brad and Janet had planned two overseas trips this year. But COVID-19 put an end to those plans.
However it is an ill wind as they say. We recently went to Arkaroola and the Gammon Ranges for a great trip. There have also been some shorter troops around SA.
This time the plan is to explore the Eyre Peninsula in a leisurely manner. And perhaps grab a few geocaches along the way.
Today is day 4. Heading from Cowell to Port Lincoln with stops at Port Neill, Tumby Bay, and a beach drive at Boston Point. And grabbing a few caches along the way.
Quick find and sign and on we go.

A 2 week tour of the West Coast started in Streaky Bay, then to Coffin Bay, then to Tumby Bay and finally a couple of days in Whyalla.
All caches were in good condition unless I've posted a Needs Maintenance log.
A windy day as we toured the back blocks of Tumby Bay.

There were a few muggles around this area today but we avoided them and made a quick find and sign before returning the cache to its hidey spot. TFTC
Danger, swooping birds , (magpie) apart from that, quick easy find on a very windy day tftc
This weekend, I joined gridge98 on a trip to Eyre Peninsula, primarily visiting Port Lincoln and its surroundings. We saw its famous marina full of trawlers, and we also ended up visiting Coffin Bay and enjoyed fresh oysters. A nice weekend with weather, and certainly a great vicinity to see.
Today leaving Whyalla, we headed down the Lincoln Highway, passing through Cowell, Cleve, Arno Bay, Port Neill, and Tumby Bay. Just prior to lunch, we also completed the *Cleve Cleaver* geoart trail. A rather long day of geocaching numbers, but the inland and coastal towns were enjoyable to visit, along with the various picturesque beaches along the way.
After taking a few photographs of the silos' art from the other side, it was good to also make a stop at the other side for a few photographs. No reverse artwork though. I then scurried down the road embankment, and made the quick cache find. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks chrispy89 for the cache placement, and 17eagle for its ongoing maintenance.
