We have arrived in town and went to look for this one. Searched the obvious spot but could not locate it.
Making our way towards home over the next few weeks travelling with 2 dogs and a cat we have found caching a great way to give the fur babies a break. Thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining.
Looked all over the obvious structure with two sets of eyes and used phone cameras, no luck.
Glad we decided to look for the cache early in the day when there was noone here because when we came past later there were trucks lined up to the street. Slipped through the gap from the foreshore trail and found the cache exactly where we thought it would be. TFTC chrispy89.
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 11 - Port Lincoln Day. The day started with caches around the town area and a bit of shopping. I also managed to do the Statue Labs whilst having a walk along the fore shore area. With all the chores out of the way, I started following the coast to the south towards Tulka following a nice walking trail and ending up at the gates of the National park. This gave me plenty of free time in the afternoon to catch up on logging. One more New county tomorrow as I head to Ellistion, although there do not seem to be as many caches on the west coast of the Eyre Peninsula. This area was a hive of activity, with a constant stream of trucks lining up to get into the unloading facility. As one was parked I was able to get to the cache which was exactly where I had hoped. Whilst he moved on, I signed the log and replaced the cache while another truck was blocking the driveway. Thanks for the cache chrispy8946637.7 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & The Great Leap Forward SA 2024 A#541**Albida**
We are having a few days in Port Lincoln on our brief tour round the Eyre Peninsula. This afternoon we walked many kilometres along the Parnkalla Trail. I'd done my homework back in Sydney and listed caches I could find in the places we stopped. This was on the list but as we walked past we were chatting and as we approached the silos it did not click that I was missing one of the listed caches. So we returned to the hotel and checked what time they had booked our group in for dinner. Hmm, another hour and a half away. What the heck I can walk a bit more. So I set off and walked the 2.5km round trip to get this cache and one other missed one. Wasn't so bad, it's flat and the cache was a quick find and I was back with plenty of time to spare before dinner. As we approached the silos the first time round there were thousands of pigeons, must have been eating up grain. I've seen plenty before but not the huge number that were here.TFTC # 5949
Thanks to me beautiful kids, they helped tick 2 things of my list. One being a cruise and the second a trip to Port Lincoln (even tho on this occasion its only for a few hours). I managed to fit in 2 finds on this very short trip. It's been just over 40years since I was in the area last. I hope to revisit sooner than that to do more caches. I was here with Bee Detective.TFTC SL (with Bee Detective)

That was fun. We're visiting the area from Crestview, Florida, USA. Thanks for creating the cache.
We were in Port Lincoln Australia for the day on our ship - Holland America's Volendam. We went out early and did an Adventure Lab and found 2 caches, before heading back for our shore excursion. We found 1 cache on that and 2 more in the port area after our excursion and still managed to walk 7 miles on the day. We loved the waterfront promenade.Thank you to the COs for their caches and to the Lab creator for the nice walk to the statues.#####################This Cache: Quick Find, right where we thought it would be.

Found at 11:03am with allrounder. After getting off the Queen Elizabeth (Cunard) ship, we headed into town for a look around and search for a couple of caches. A quick find after the meander down the wharf. Using the excuse of the view back towards the ship as cover. TFTC

Couldn't find it. Based on last person's log, it may not have been replaced yet. I didn't like the suss looks I was getting around a security fence.
Down in Port Lincoln, after a day of sport and before tea, this one was a mere 80m from our accommodation. An easy walk followed by an easy find. was on the ground exposed but returned it to where I felt was meant to be the original hide location. On dusk there is a fair amount of bird activity in and around those silos. TFTC
Enjoying a stroll along the foreshore. Brings back memories from the 80s when we lived here ??. Thanks
With rain expected tomorrow, we headed out with iluvtrekking to do dry weather caching. Quick find. Thanks crispy89
Another cache found with richlink on a beautiful sunny day.

Panda 1 and myself found while out walking with her kids - TFTC get eat trip to Lincoln for the weekend.
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
Off to the west coast for a Holiday. [^] Holiday Sal Style that is. We are sightseeing - if there happens to be a cache there - great - get it. Luckily caches are in really interesting spots anyway.
Day 9: Port Lincoln.
After having lunch at an oyster bar the other end of the fore shore it was time to walk it off. A pleasant stroll looking at all the sculptures and monuments we finally arrived at GZ. [^] As it was Sunday it wasn't a high muggle area today and a quick find was made.
***Thanks chrispy89 for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

We walked several kilometres of the Parnkalla trail around the Port Lincoln town, walking along the coastline. Found several different caches along the way TFTC
Well it’s 2021 and I have finally said good bye to a not so great 2020 and it was great to finally be able to have a reasonable holiday as I have not had a decent break since 2019.
Made to South Australia and finally crossing the boarder and then being greeted by a couple of very friendly SA police offices for which i had the official paper work to allow me to enter.
After making my way west along the Eyre Hwy I went as far as Penong and the Eyre Hwy which I have not travelled along since the late 70’s when I was on a holiday with my folks and this was the last holiday before I started full time work as a sparkie and finding a few caches as I go.
Geocaching when towing a van is not always easy and I have to be a bit selective on which ones I decide to try and find for safe parking purposes especially along busy highways.
So after leaving Coffin Bay my next destination is Port Lincoln which is down the bottom of Eyre Peninsular off the Flinders Hwy.
I’m hoping for better weather soon I don’t mind it being cool just not rain showers when you are out and about.
I left Coffin Bay early so I could get set up and make the most of my time here.
Another new day and I got up and about to try and squeeze as much in and the weather is finally looking good.
There were trucks coming every so often but I just waited my time as I had a good guess where it would be so I could just sneak in and locate it.
I guess all these trucks are the reason the rail is not used anymore.
The silos and the wharf loading area make an impressive picture and I had a walk around the fence line to have a look.
Thanks chrispy89 & 17eagle TFTC.
