I had to drop some mangoes off for a fellow geocacher and so while I was out, Brodie and I found 5 caches
What a weird night.
A huge bushfire burning close to the north eastern suburbs was dropping ash on my car and everything else in the vicinity.
This was early in the night, before the fire increased in size and damage and after the cache run, my daughter and grandkids had to evacuate (as did many, many other people).
It took Brodie and I a while to find this micro cache, my GPSr had me just a little bit away and I thought like troll for a while before realising my mistake!
Tried a different approach and bingo, I had the cache in hand
It could use a new, less tattered log but I didn't have any with me. Sorry.
Not too many ducks visible at about midnight!

I must be quackers poking around for a micro cache here !!
The local ducks thought I was too
But against all the odds .... I found a cache
Doesn't look like a film canister to me !!

Thanks to TeamDani for the replacement container. By the sounds of it all good to go
Found the replacement container easily in the exact same spot we spent 20 minutes looking unsuccessfully previously. We think it may have been hidden differently originally, but since we failed to find that one, we like the new one just as much TNLNSL TFTC
Quickly found the wrecked container (part of it) so I returned to the car and grabbed a replacement. The cache is a green M&M tube , covered in cammo tape. Placed it in a position near the wrecked cache that best matched the hint! Thanks Thommo77 for the hide!!
Found a film canister that was covered in tape, (these aren't normal for ducks) but it had no lid, and no log.
Might be worth having a look Thommo. Thanks.
Might be worth having a look Thommo. Thanks.
Found it. It was open and empty and lying on the ground. Put it back where we thought it was supposed to be.
Thanks to previous notes and hint , it took a little time to find while trying to watch mr 2 year old chase the ducks, find 7 for the day
After reading previous logs. We moved a little way from GZ and the cache was in hand. TFTC
After a failed attempt with the FTF we were passing here today with earthlight, after we threw the hazards on to stop a 4WD behind us from running over the ducks crossing the road we headed down to try and find this cache, earthlight had cache in hand before i could start looking, we also had quite a few ducks im front of us which made for a cool way to find a cache. TFTC
First find for the day heading to Mt Crawford with 3LG.
a quick easy find .

Déjà vu on this one - definitely been here before .
Looked around for awhile before moving further away from the bridge as we widened our search area, stumbling over the cache lying on the ground [xx(]. Think the co-ords may be out a bit .
TNLNSL.
Replaced where we thought it would have come from [?][?].
Thanks Thommo77.

Second time at this scenic location. I wandered around in circles for ages and was tempted to keep going to Bunnings to get the paint we have selected to paint the family room. I eventually found it about 4-5m west of my GPS gz indications. Saw a flotilla of ducks close by. Thanks thommo77 for keeping me away from the paint brush for just a little longer.
Hard cache to find, but with another 6 eager helpers the cache was soon in my hands! TFTC!
Took a long long time and a few hints but got there! Kids got bored so had to keep an extra eye on them for fear of losing one in the water!
Could not find this one today although we looked for a good 20 mins.
Gorgeous location, lovely ducks. Took some nice pictures so all was not lost.
We will come back.

On a damp and dark evening, the hunt was looking doubtful. Reread hint and logs to get the final impetus to find the blighter.
Nice work! Thanks for the smilie!

Even though I didn't see a duck, I knew one was watching me.
Thanks to thommo77 and clear skies from TeamAstro.

I've been trying to clear out my closest to homes, and then this blot suddenly appeared on the landscape! Hmmmm! Better do something about that! Took a bit of searching, but after widening my search area a bit....Bingo!!! Thanks thommo77
Today Darknstormy and i headed out on our normal sunday caching adventures to clean up a few new ones that have been published recently and a few oldies we have not been able to gather before
This was a tricky one but eventually the little sucker was spotted
Thanks for the cache Thommo7

Miss GG and myself decided to get out of the house and enjoy the nice weather before settling down to watch some motor racing,
At GZ we wondered around in the wrong place as the gps just wasn't counting down for us, finally getting some sort of direction the little guy was found not long after

We like checking out new caches in the neighbourhood, but had no luck today. Any micro/nano in a bush setting like this should be at least a 3 star difficulty
I popped by for a quick look after school drop off and thankfully saw Monica having a look around so I didn't look like so much of a dill looking around next to the road on my own
There was nothing to be seen and I figured it had been muggled already, or the coords were out.
I didn't think to refresh the cache there and then, doh!
I walked 4kms back home and sat down to check the cache to see the new coords had come through, doh!

Take two... Jumped into the car this time had a quick look around before finding it!
Was surprised to see two logs in there already, and couldn't work out who MBB was, but after reading Monica's log, it all makes sense
Well done Monica

You know you're a geocacher when you meet a stranger rummaging around in the bushes and it's perfectly normal. Went first thing after school drop off this morning hoping for a FTF, imagining it may be easier in daylight. Was soon joined by KittyKat, we looked all over but no luck. Gave up and headed for a nearby cache. About to head home for breakfast when I noticed that the coordinates for this one were updated. Didn't take long before I got to GZ and nearly jumped out of my skin as Cache_ISM popped out of nowhere. A little searching high and low, so many potential spots, and we had the cache in hand for a joint FTF at 0932. My recommendation, bring eye protection. TFTC thommo77
Woo Hoo! Finally.
A joint FTF with MBB! Sorry about the fright.
There's no way we were gonna find that last night.
Thanks Thommo77. [^] [^] [^]

Seeing no logs for this on my app, decided to have a look on my way home. Took a little bit of looking, but found it soon, only to see 4 or 5 logs in the cache. Might have to change apps. TFTC.
Gahh, I've only just seen the email half hour after publishing so I've probably missed the local mini-flash mob event now.
Will add this one to the to-do list!
Will add this one to the to-do list!
I was there.
Didn't take long to get to GZ. Found a tree. Looked.
Returned to car to replace flat battery. Looked some more.
Noticed an interestingly shaped tree nearby. Looked.
Looked some more but all to no avail.
Hopefully all shall be revealed in daylight.
Thanks for the hunt thommo77

We checked high and low near and far, we even tried swapping numbers but still no cache, we had bright torches and even the UV in action, we did how ever got to meet cache-ism so there was a bonus with this dnf, hopefully the super slooth ttrogg can sniff this one out.TBs visited
Coordinates changed from:

Coordinates changed to:
S 34° 46.307 E 138° 43.122
Distance from original: 88.9 feet or 27.1 meters.
Not a great start for this one. Went to check make sure everything was ok and found coordinates where off my fault should have double checked. Have updated the new ones.

Searched GZ and surrounding area.
Team 3LG came along & joined me in my search.
Still nothing. Oh well, had a few laughs.
